Rai POV

It was Gaara's turn and honestly I was worried about this match. This wasn't a good opponent for Gaara.. at least not when he's like this. Soon the fight turned blood thirsty for Gaara and the moment the kid hit him for the first time I knew this wasn't going to be pretty for the kid.

"Just give up already!" I scream causing everyone to look at me as he started dodging Gaara's sand waves. I know he's in pain and can barely move so why keep going?!

"This isn't a game to you! He will kill you! Just give up and save us the damn trouble!" I yell gripping the rail. I didn't like Gaara like this.. he knows that.. but right now all he's seeing is red. Hell he didn't even hear me! Neither did the kid apparently since he started to move faster and attacking.

"Why? Why isn't he giving up?! Doesn't he understands the situation he's in? He will die!" I mumble to myself gripping the rail more. I said I lost hope in humanity but that's not exactly accurate. Just because I gave up on them doesn't mean I wish death upon them.. not all of them at least.

As the fight continued the moment I saw Gaara about to use sand coffin I jumped using my kekkei genkai to sky walk my way there as fast as I could getting in his way deflecting his sand from its course towards the kid to me.

"That's enough Gaara!" I yell making his sand stop in their tracks looking down at him with tears in my eyes.

"Why.. why are you protecting him?" Gaara asked making me clench my jaw and bite my lip.

"Give up Lee.. give up now or I will let him kill you." I say looking behind me at the kid just to see him pass out and I sigh.

"Why are you protecting him Rai?!" Gaara yelled making me flinch and look at him.

"I'm protecting you, damn it!" I yell back as he slowly gets up.

"What?" He asked but I only hug him letting some tears fall.

"I don't like you when you get blood thirsty Gaara.. you remind me of them and I hate it." I mumble to his chest gripping his shirt as I felt the sand armor leave his body creating the gourd again but I don't let go of him.

"I know he pushed you, he was strong. I know that lead you to lose control but.. Gaara I love you too much to let you lose yourself like that." I whisper letting more tears fall as I tighten my grip on him feeling as he tensed up.

"Love.. you.. love.. me?" I look up at him as he looks down at my teary eyes.

"Of course I love you, you dummy. I don't know what I would've ever done without you." I say giving him a small smile and before I knew it his lips connected to mine in a small sweet kiss making me blush deeply but kiss back before he pulled away.

"I love you too." He said before using his sand to make us appear next to Temari.

"Well welcome back you two." She said with a smirk making us both hm. One of my teammates was next with a fat leaf ninja, but as I ordered he won since the other lost. Even if their part in this mission is over I still wanted to get one of them to the final just in case.

"Now then, the last two contestants will you please stand forward." The proctor said as I jump from my place landing next to the proctor facing the sound ninja looking at him up and down.

"So it's finally my turn." His long sleeves told me he was hiding something under them, probably something like the dude who's arms exploded.

"Alright the final match will begin." The proctor said and when I see him pull his sleeve up I smirked. That probably has sound waves.. that's alright I can just reflect them back at him.

"Alright lets do this!" I say using my kekkei genkai all around my body as a barrier against those sound waves. I rush towards him and started doing some weak punches to make sure he attacks with the waves believing me to be weak.

"This is too easy." He said throwing a fist at me as I block with my hands and as the sound wave hits my barrier at bounces back at him making me smirk as he screams and the bandages he has around his face show red from his bleeding ears.

"I'm sorry what was that of this being easy?" I ask smirking pushing his hand away from me.

"But how?" He asked causing me to shrug my shoulders.

"Not telling all you need to know is that those sound waves you use have no effect on me." I say.

Third Person POV

"What just happen?! How come he's the one with the bleeding ears and not her?" Sakura asked looking at the fight in disbelief.

"It looks like she somehow reflected his attack back at him." Shikamaru said back seeing as he wasn't that far away from her.

"What? How's that even possible?!" Ino asked.

"I don't know why are you asking me?" Shikamaru said back with a grunt as he saw the match below.

"This is really no fun, so do us both a favor and give up." Rai said to her opponent but he was more afraid of Orochimaru than this girl.

"I can't do that." He said back holding his ears.

"Hm, have it your way then." She said and before he knew it she was behind him kicking him and sending him flying to a wall.

"People like you annoy me to no end." She said before creating a vortex with her hand sending it his way on the wall getting the full impact of it creating a huge hole on the wall and him to pass out.

"Now you have to choice but to give up." Rai says with a smirk as the vortex disappeared and the proctor took a step closer seeing the sound ninja pass out against the wall.

"The winner is Rai." The proctor says as Rai nods satisfied at this win before looking up where Gaara was and showing him a piece sign.
