Rai POV

Part one of the exam piece of cake, part two annoying. Just plain annoying when my teammates kept getting in the way. I had to do all the work myself before heading to the tower meeting Gaara there.

"Took you long enough." He said as I scoff walking towards him.

"That's what I get when I have useless teammates that only get in my way." I say as we start walking to another room.

"Besides I had to go through 3 teams before I got the scroll I needed." I say with a sigh crossing my arms and looking down annoyed.

"Anyway I hope you weren't here long." I say glancing at him as we walked placing my hands behind my head.

"20 minutes maybe." He said as I nodded.

"Then I didn't do that bad then. I took about two hours anyway. I could probably do better if I was alone." I say before taking a seat and laying my head in Gaara's shoulder.

"Hm Gaara can I sleep here? I'm sleepy and tired." I say wrapping my hands around his torso making him sigh.

"Whatever." He said and I smile a little closing my eyes and let myself fall asleep.

As I woke up I hear Temari whining making me frown but look at Gaara.

"You're up." He said getting up and extending a hand to me as I got up and follow him as my team follow me. Temari continues to whine and as we entered a room 4 different scents hit my nose. I look at the three before my eyes landed on the small puppy making me smile a little walking towards them.. I could smell fear from them, specially from the pup.

"Wow the poor thing really is scared." I say as they all took a step back.

"There's no need to worry I won't hurt you unless you decide to attack me."

"Rai what are you doing?" I hear Gaara's voice and I turn to look at him.

"I'll catch up to you in a bit. I wanna entertain myself for a few minutes." I say as he hn and continued to walk.

"You're scared of Gaara aren't you little guy?" I ask petting the small puppy from his owners chest.

"Mind if I carry him?" I ask looking at the boy as he looked paranoid but I still took the small pup in my hands petting him softly.

"What's his name?" I ask looking at the owner.

"Uh, it's Akamaru." He said and I nodded scratching the back of his ear comfortably.

"It's ok Gaara won't hurt you, I won't let him." I say as the little dog barked cutely making me smile a bit.

"Shh.. Gaara's gone for now.. I know how about I sing you a soft song?" I ask the Lott pup before I started to hum while calmly petting his head until slowly his trembling stopped.

"Who are you?" The boy asked as I hand him back his pet.

"I'm Rai of the red sand." I say.

"What where you doing with a guy like him?" He asked while looking where Gaara left and I sigh.

"You have a right to be scared of him. But you don't know me very well either yet you're trusting me. I'm not as nice as you think I am.. I just like dogs and I couldn't stand him being so scared." I say before walking away.

"See you around." I say waving at them.

Third Person POV

"What do you want? We're talking about something important." The proctor of the second exam said glaring at the man who just walked in with a tape in his hand.

"I'm sorry, but, it's this tape you have to see it." The man said before walking to the tv and putting the tape in.

"Ok now when you watch this pay special attention to the time." The man said before playing it.

"But that means-" Anko was cut off by the man.

"That's right Anko, this was recorded from inside the tower. It's unbelievable. Those ninja finished an hour and 37 minutes after the test started. They completely destroyed the record for finishing the second test." The man said as Anko got up.

"That's impossible." She said in disbelieve.

"And that's not all, after I saw that he didn't leave the spot I fast forward to see if he was waiting for someone and evidently.." He said before fast forwarding to 20 minutes later the other red head walked in talking to him before they started walking together.

"It only took them 97 minutes and 117 minutes. Nothing like this has ever happened before, no one's even come close. Those ninja from the sand village, are way above genim level they beat the record by 4 hours." The man said.

"I'm afraid it's nit just that." Anko said.

"I don't get it, what do you mean?" The man asked looking at her.

"It's 10 kilometers from the test entrance gate to the tower ad i between a ferocious animas and poisonous insects not to mention the other ninja. Could they really have avoided all those things? Specially the brown haired kid in the front with the girl." Anko said.

"What's so special about them?" The man asked.

"You mean you didn't see?" Anko asked as the man replayed the video.

"Interesting that is quite a surprise." One of the AMBU said.

"I still don't get it. What am I supposed to be seeing?" The man in front of the tv asked.

"It's what you're not seeing. Look closely at they're bodies." Anko said as the man looked closely at the tv.

"I see it now." He said.

"Not one little scratch and I haven't been able to spot one little speck of dirt on their clothing." Anko said.

"They must have some special ability." One of the ANBU said.

"It's been a long time since we've got such promising candidates but that kids eyes are pure evil." The other ANBU said.
