Episode 7: Tell me the Truth
"And how long were you two on this....joy ride?"
I swallowed hard and shifted my eyes to Sir Rooke, taking notes on a crystal tablet. Focusing back on Headmistress Silva staring at me from across her desk, my voice came out in a barely audible whisper.
"Uh...like....2 hours...maybe." I rubbed my arm. Fuck I hated getting in trouble and honestly Headmistress Silva might have been beautiful but she scared me to death. I don't think she knew how to smile. And now staring down at me, obviously disapproving of me breaking her rules for the second time. I wanted to sink into the floor.
She lifted her head to Sir Rooke who nodded at her and continued typing away. The headmistress turned her attention back to me and I wish she hadn't.
"So what I'm gathering....the few....very few days you've been here Saria....is that you young lady do not know how to follow orders."
I looked down, nervously rubbing my hands over my knees. My palms were sweating.
"I do not like being disobeyed."
"Yes ma'am." I whispered.
"Everything I do, everything I say....is for the protection of this school and the fairies attending it." She cocked her head to the side. "DO you understand?"
I nodded.
"It seems to me...." She clasped her hands together and leaned forward. "You need to choose your friends....wisely."
I sunk further into the seat. "Yes ma'am."
"Should you fail to listen to me....I can assure you Saria." Headmistress Silva pointed a brown perfectly manicured index finger at me. "You.....will....die."
I gulped, shivers running through my body.
"Especially since by the reports I'm getting, you're unable to tap into your fairy abilities."
My bottom lip shook as I stared down. Fuck, fuck....shit....I messed up. "I'm sorry...." I whispered, feeling tears welling up in the corner of my eyes. I wouldn't cry...I'll refuse to cry.
I could feel her eyes on me but she didn't say anything else. I was too scared to look up or to even ask if I was dismissed.
I heard her sigh softly. "Look, you are under my care."
I looked up in surprise to what I believe was a softer less reprimanding tone in her voice.
"Everything is not as it seems here." Headmistress Silva stated. "Do not confuse this world, for the human one. Be careful." she stared pointedly at me.
I nodded. "Yes ma'am."
She looked away and waved a transparent screen up but I couldn't see what she was looking at from where I was sitting. "You're dismissed."
"Thank you."
"Saria...assure me you will attend all your classes and duty from now on."
I stood and nodded. "Yes ma'am."
I bowed awkwardly. I don't even know why I did so and turned to leave.
"Oh and Saria...."
I looked back to the headmistress still focused on the screen now flashing green and blue. "Yes."
"It might be in your best interest to limit your interaction with Prince Easton. Like I said.....choose your friends wisely."
I blinked in confusion and turned to Sir Rooke. He was staring at me pointedly. I nodded back to the headmistress. "Yes ma'am." I whispered and continued out her office.
Closing her door behind me, I finally allowed myself to breathe. I sighed and leaned against the door. Fuck.
"Hey."
I almost jumped and looked up.
Easton was standing just a couple feet away in the tanned linen pants and top we were to wear for combat practice and fitness and nutrition. "You okay?"
I was about to answer when the door opened and I jumped back as Sir Rooke looked at me sternly. "To class Saria."
"Yes sir..." I responded and walked towards Easton. "I'll uh....I'll see you later..."
He nodded without responding and I could feel his eyes on my back as I walked away.
"Prince Easton, headmistress Silva will see you now."
**
"Hey."
I turned to Bolt jogging towards me down the hallway. I smiled. "Hey."
He slowed down and walked beside me. "You missed class with Professor Merryweather."
I nodded. "Yeah....your mom....headmistress Silva wanted to see me."
Bolt grimaced. "Hopefully it's not too bad." He chuckled. "Hey." He reached out and gently touched my arm. I stopped walking and turned to him. "Look I know....my mom's intimidating but....her barks worst than her bite."
I shook my head. "Maybe to you, you're her son."
He chuckled. "Trust me, she doesn't let me get away with shit."
I laughed and we continued walking.
"So we're you going?" He asked.
"Uhm....History...." I grimaced. "I haven't gone once since school started."
Bolt laughed. "Come on, I'll show you. Professor Enda is really nice."
"So she'll forgive me for not attending her class?" I asked.
He nodded. "Most definitely."
I smiled and followed him.
**
"I'm sorry Prince, is there somewhere you need to be?"
Easton turned his attention away from the door back to Headmistress Silva. "Don't want to miss class that's all." He smiled.
"Is that so?" she asked lifting her chin.
He shrugged. "You just told me not to miss any more class."
Headmistress Silva smirked and leaned forward. "And I also told you to stop trying to invade my mind, yet here you are trying to get past the block."
Easton's smile dropped and he sighed and looked away. "Are we done?"
"Are we?" The headmistress asked.
Easton looked to Sir Rooke who was narrowing his eyes at him. The headmistress' advisor's mind was also blocked off. The prince straightened up defensively. "Am I in trouble?" He asked stiffly.
"Prince Easton, you seemed to have taken a certain interest in a new student of our university."
"What's it to you?" He asked sharply.
"She's my student and I would like her to remain so. She's here to study and learn, not for your own pleasure....your highness." Headmistress Silva stated sternly.
Easton clenched his jaw.
"And should you by any chance lose control----"
"I won't hurt her." He snapped at the headmistress. Specks of red swirling briefly in his iris.
"Oh but you see, that's not a risk I want to take."
Easton felt his heart race. He stared at his hands forming fists. Breathe....breathe.
"I allowed your admittance on the basis that you are in full and utter control of yourself. This environment as we both know your highness....is extremely tempting to you."
Easton's jaw moved, his shoulders, slouching slightly as if he wanted to sink into the seat.
"So in light of recent events, no need for me to go over what's been happening. I need to know your whereabouts at all times." Headmistress Silva pointed to Sir Rooke. "Sir Rooke will keep an eye on you....just to make sure that....you're okay."
Easton clenched his jaw tighter feeling a couple teeth shift. He swallowed hard and stared at her mahogany desk.
"Do you understand?"
He glared up at her. His eyes an icy blue. "Why allow my admittance now if you're so scared of me? You denied my admittance last year."
"Do not be confused Prince." Headmistress Silva leaned forward to speak to him. "I am not afraid of you."
He glared at her.
"I'm merely trying to help a lost boy take....the correct....path." The Elf's eyes swirled as she held eye contact with the Prince.
Sir Rooke looked back and forth at the silent eye contest wondering when it would be appropriate to step in. But the Prince was the first to look away in frustration.
"Why so many layers of secrets buried your highness?" Headmistress Silva smirked.
"Can I go now?" Easton stated rather than asked as he stood up.
Headmistress Silva motioned towards the door and watched as he left, his head high, door slamming behind him.
"Silva?"
"Do not underestimate him Rooke." Headmistress Silva spoke softly as she stared at her closed office door her eyes narrowing. "I couldn't get into his mind."
**
Easton punched the wall in frustration. He panted as he stared at the cracked brick and the pieces of sediments dropping to the ground. He ran his hand over his face and through his hair.
"Prince Easton!"
Easton stiffened and immediately straightened his back. He turned around with gentle smile on his face. "Jolis....hey..."
She skipped to him and beamed as she took his hand. "Soooo....I know you missed combat practice yesterday....want me to show you some moves?"
"Uhm....yeah...how about...uhm...how about some other time though...I have to uhm...I have to make up an assignment for professor Merryweather." He patted her head and moved his arm from her reach. "I'll hold you to it though." He grinned and walked backwards.
She giggled. "Of course...anytime."
Easton turned, the smile dropping off his face as he rushed down the hallway to look for a certain witch.
**
"Saria...hey...."
I turned and Isla also stopped as Easton's voice called my name.
"Hey." I smiled softly.
"I'll uhm....go find us a table? For lunch?" Isla grinned not so subtly as she walked away.
"Hey! How are you?" Easton whispered.
I shrugged. "I'm good, I guess." I looked around and chuckled. "I mean...two people dead in less than five days makes this school like a murder school..." I tried to joke.
Easton smiled and lowered his head to mine. "Well, I won't let anything happen to you princess..."
I felt a wave of chills run through me at his words and proximity. God, my reaction to the Prince was seriously unnatural. How was I so responsive anytime he was near. And now...I wasn't really supposed to be near him. "Thanks..." I giggled and took a step back before I grabbed him and shoved my tongue down his throat.
Easton blinked and cocked his head to the side. "Are you sure you're okay?"
"You're not reading my mind to find out?" I asked.
"You told me not to." He responded softly
I blinked in surprise. "Yeah....i did....look I'm fine...I just...i can't get in anymore trouble." I whispered.
He nodded. "Yeah....uhm... me neither...uhm....look sorry if...if you got in trouble because of me..."
I shook my head. "No...no, it's...it's my own fault..." I chuckled. "I gotta stop letting tall handsome guys distract me."
He took a step closer. "I thought it was a good distraction." He whispered his lips to my ears.
Fuck me please.
I want to.
My eyes widened and I took a step back. "I should go...I uh....I promised the girls I'll eat lunch with them."
I turned but he grabbed my arm. I turned back to him in surprise a need stirring in the pits of my stomach.
As if realizing that he'd grabbed me, he quickly released me and smiled sheepishly. "Sorry...I...wanna have lunch together?"
I turned my head to the side seeing Sir Rooke watching us. Easton followed my gaze. Sir Rooke nodded at both of us and typed away on his tablet.
"Uhm...." I turned back to Easton. "I think it's just...just gonna be us girls....but maybe....maybe next time....we could...."
Easton slowly dragged his gaze back to me. "Did they say something about me to you?" He asked seriously.
I opened my mouth to lie but he looked...hurt. I sighed. "I can't hang out that much with you." I whispered honestly.
Easton took a deep breath and exhaled.
I smiled sheepishly. "I think I've missed several classes in so few days. And I don't know....I think they're starting to think you're a bad influence on me."
"Did they say that?" He asked seriously.
I shook my head. "She told me to choose my friends wisely and heavily suggested that maybe I should leave you alone." I smiled sadly. "I guess cause you're the 'prince of the land'." I said in air quotes. "And I'm just me."
To my surprise, Easton just clenched his jaw and nodded. "Okay...uhm....okay..." He took a couple steps back.
"Hey." I grabbed his arm like he'd done mine.
He turned around in surprise.
"I mean...I want....I want to hang out with you...but I can't miss anymore classes." I smiled. "And I did promise the girls we'll do lunch...so seriously....another time..."
I noticed the tension in his shoulder relax as he nodded.
Okay. Another time. He responded in my head and gave me a charming smiled before walking away.
I giggled stupidly and watched him walk away. "Oh I'm so going to suck his dick." I whispered to myself proudly.
**
"NO!" I yelled. "You're just lying!"
"Saria! How dare you talk to me like that!" Monica yelled.
I stared at her face through my phone with a blurry vision. "You've lied to me my entire life!" I cried. "A fucking car, told me you were a princess. I don't even know who you are! I don't even know who I am!"
"All I've done is protect and love you!" Monica replied harshly. "Don't let those fairies brainwash you----"
"I'm the fucking laughing stock of the school!" I cried. "Because didn't tell me who or what I was! Nobody cares if I can grow or make medicine to prevent acne. They don't need that shit. Everybody here is literally perfect. Their faces, their body...I'm fucking child's play."
"I swear you curse at me once more and I'm dragging your ass back-----"
"You don't even know how to get here!" I threw my phone and tiger jumped out of the way screeching. Frustrated I sat on the edge of my bed and put my hand out. The phone reappearing as I dialed my mom back with tears in my eyes.
"Have you lost your fucking mind, hanging up on me like that?"
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry." I whispered wiping my face. "I'm sorry."
My mother sighed heavily as she rubbed her face. "Saria....I'm sorry, I didn't tell you. I was just trying to give you the best life."
"How?" I shrugged. "Ignorance is not bliss mom." I shook my head and put Tiger on my lap. "A fairy without fairy magic is useless....so I don't think you did any of us any favors."
"I'm going to ignore your selfish comments because teenagers are all selfish. You don't see the bigger picture."
"Because you don't give me the bigger picture!"
"Okay I'm going to need you to tone that all the way down. You been hanging with your little fairy friends a little too much if you think you can just talk to me in this way. You hear me? You hear me Saria?"
I turned to the knock at my door. "Mom, I gotta go." I whispered.
"Saria...."
"I love you. Bye." I hung up and quickly wiped my face. I forced a smile on my lips and rushed to my bedroom door and opened it. "Hey didn't mean to be too loud-----Easton!"
"Hey." He smiled as he lifted up a little gold ball. "Have you ever played with a golden ball?"
I laughed and opened the door wider for him to come in. "Uhm no-----"
Tiger hissed, tail erect and fur up as his one eye glared at Easton.
Easton stopped and arched an eyebrow. "You have a pet."
I closed the door in embarrassment. "Tiger stop it!" I looked at Easton. "I'm sorry, he's usually friendly."
Easton grimaced and stared at the cat wearily. "I don't like animals."
I gasped and picked up Tiger. "Aww come on, you don't like animals...look at this cute face."
Tiger meowed loudly and put his paw out, claws elongated to strike.
"NO!" I hit his head. "Bad cat! What are you doing?"
Tiger jumped out of my arms and ran towards Easton. Easton quickly moved out of the way, his hands up.
"No Tiger stop it!" I sighed and quickly grabbed his carrying crate. "You're going inside until you can------Easton!" I gasped as I watched him kick my cat out the way. Tiger jumped back startled on all four.
I ran in between them. "Hey you don't kick pets!" I pointed sternly at Easton. "And you!" I grabbed Tiger by his neck. "Do not hiss and scratch Easton!" Tiger meowed relentlessly, his claws swinging as I dropped him into his crate and zipped it up. "You stay here until you remember your manners."
I turned to Easton with my hands on my hips. "Never kick my cat."
Easton grimaced. "Why care for the beast?"
I rolled my eyes. "You fairies have to stop calling all animals beasts. Tiger is family." I turned to Tiger. "And you two better get along." I warned and turned back to Easton. "I can't hang out with somebody that hates my cat."
I was surprised by the disgusted glance he shot at Tiger's crate.
"Hey!"
Easton quickly blinked and looked back at me. "Okay...okay...you have....a pet....beast...cat...." He forced a smile.
I laughed and shook my head. "Oh my God." I sat on my bed and patted it. "So what does this little ball do?"
Easton moved cautiously and he turned so that his back was not to the cat. "How about we go to my room?" He suggested.
My jaw dropped. "You seriously hate my cat that much?"
"He wasn't here last time I was here."
"Because he was exploring!" I said and went to Tiger and opened his crate. "This is unacceptable. Tiger come here." I picked him up and put him against my chest. And went towards Easton who actually took a step back. "Are you serious?" I laughed.
"That thing doesn't trust me anymore than I trust him." Easton spoke up.
As if in agreeance Tiger hissed again, his teeth barred, one paw out, ready to strike.
I kissed Tiger's head affectionately. "Tiger this is Easton....Easton this is my precious Tiger and I need you two to get along." I took a couple more steps towards Easton. "Look....see, innocent..."
Easton eyed it warily. "What's wrong with his eye?"
"He only has one." I laughed.
"He just needs to get used------Tiger!"
"Fuck!" Easton shook the hand that Tiger clawed.
"Oh my God are you okay!" I gasped in shock.
Easton stared daggers at my cat as he shook his hand. His teeth clenched. To my surprise, Tiger must have regretted his actions because he shrunk back against me.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry...I'm sorry." I whispered quickly, putting Tiger back in his crate and zipping it up. I rushed to Easton and took his hand in mine. "I don't think he's ever clawed------wait----where is it?" I whispered in surprise at his smooth skin, without blemish or blood even though I had clearly seen the scratch and blood.
Easton pulled his hand back. "I heal quickly." he whispered.
"Wow....like that was fast...like...." My eyes widened. "So cool."
He smiled and focused on me.
I nudged him. "You heal up too fast, I can't even play nurse." I teased.
"Play nurse?" he replied curiously.
"You've never played nurse?" I feigned shock.
"It's a game where you heal people?" He asked seriously.
I stared at him in silence for a couple seconds. Was this guy serious? I laughed and shook my head. "Uhm...yes...kind of...it's just...the older you are the more it's just an excuse to make out...it's like a favorite porn category."
"Porn?"
I gasped for real this time and sat down on the edge of my desk. "Wait you don't know what porn is?"
"Another game? He asked sitting next to me as he rolled the gold ball in his hand.
I shook my head. "No...it's...you watch people....like....well....." I trailed off. "Well it sounds weird if I tried to explain....." I giggled nervously. "Wow...."
"You like it?"
"No." I said quickly. "Yes." I added. "Depends on my mood." I concluded. "Anyways what does this ball do?" I asked loudly.
Easton smiled as he looked at the little gold ball. "I've had it ever since I was kid." He said twirling the ball in his hand. "It can do anything you need it to do." He took my hand and placed the ball there. "Even helping beginners figure out their powers...." He closed my fingers over it. "It's yours."
"Really?" I asked.
Easton nodded. "It was my mom's and she gave it to me...and now you...it's yours."
I turned to him in shock. "It's a family heirloom....I can't take....i can't take this."
To my surprise Easton just smiled and leaned over and kissed my cheek softly. I smiled and turned my head so our mouth brushed. I kissed him and the immediate need in the pits of my stomach resurfaced, full force. I pulled back, panting.
"You feel that right?" Easton whispered almost timidly.
I nodded.
"Thank God." He smiled and cupped my face, pressing his lips against mine again with more confidence. Our mouths moving hungrily, searching, seeking for more of what the other had to offer. My arms came up to wrap around his neck as he gently laid me down on my bed.
I smiled as I rolled my body into him, even as he slowly lifted his head.
"Do you know how royalty gets it's wings?" He whispered.
I gasped. "Wait...You get wings?"
He chuckled as he slowly climbed on top of me and nodded.
"Can I see them?"
"I don't have them yet." He whispered trailing his lips down my neck.
I moaned at the softness of his kiss. "I want wings too."
Easton lifted his head. "Don't worry, you'll get them." He grinned his eyes a deep red.
"Nobody told me I'll be getting wings..." I whispered in awe. I reached up and gently touched his face. Easton closed his eyes and moved his head into my palm. He kissed my palm. I stared mesmerized as red seemed to emerge from his eyes to create veins down his cheeks. "Your face....."
Easton opened his eyes and stared straight at me for a brief second. "My face looks no different from how it always looks." He whispered.
Tiger hissed in the background and meowed but we ignored him.
And he was right. I touched his face, so smooth, so perfect. No lines, no blemish. I felt like I was touching the face of an angel. Like we were floating on a cloud. Just the two of us. He moaned as my hands went over his eyes, his nose, he parted his mouth and groaned. My thumb scraping his teeth. Sharper than usual? No. Normal, perfectly normal.
"Ouch." I whispered. How had I pricked my thumb against his teeth.
He immediately covered my thumb with his mouth, sucking away the pain. He moaned as he moved down. Kissing my wrist. Another sharp pain, followed by a dull pleasure that intensified every time he sucked on my wrist.
He gasped and lowered his head.
"What's wrong?" I whispered lifting his chin up. His usually pink lips were now completely red.
He chuckled. "I need to stop." He moaned licking my wrists. "You taste just as good as you smell. It's intoxicating..." He murmured.
"I don't want you to stop." I whispered feeling light. "You always stop....don't stop...." I moaned and close my eyes, running my hand down my neck. "Let's never stop." I ran my hand over my chest, pinching my erect nipples. I opened my eyes and watched as his eyes followed my hand down my stomach. I cupped myself and rubbed through my pants. Feeling pleasure course through my body. "How do we get our wings?"
Easton smiled as he looked at me. "You lay with your true mate." he whispered breathlessly. "But...not...not right now....I gotta...go....I ....fuck...Saria..." he scrambled off me and actually stumbled as if he was drunk.
"No." I moaned shooting off the bed also and grabbing him. "Now." I kissed him and he didn't resist. His arms wrapping around me. I was lost in him. In only him. Him forever.
Easton groaned as he moved my head to the side. His mouth on my neck. Gone was the pain and only pleasure, and more pleasure. My knees wobbled as I held on to him. His sucking on my neck, more aggressive.
I can't stop.
I heard him in my head.
Don't stop. I gasped as an intense orgasm passed through me, my toes curling as I held on to him, not realizing that my feet were no longer on the ground. "Easton...."I whispered weakly. He pulled me closer with more desperation.
**
"Saria.....Saria..." Easton panted laying her down gently. "Saria...please..." He whispered patting her cheek. "Please...please...." His vision blurred as he wiped his mouth. He quickly licked her throat and felt the faint pulse beneath. "Fuck....fuck...." He groaned as he hovered over her. Shaking hands touching her face desperately. He kissed her lips and groaned at her unresponsiveness.
Tiger meowed loudly, scratching at his crate.
"Fuck." He climbed off her bed and ran his fingers through his hair. Warm tears rolling down his face. "Mom....mom.....MOM!"
"What is it?" Queen Gayle flickered before him.
He stared at her in bewilderment.
"Are you drunk?" Queen Gayle chastised her son. "And this isn't your ro----" Her voice cut off as she noticed the unresponsive girl on the bed. "What have you done?" She ordered immediately rushing forth.
"I didn't---I didn't mean....I couldn't....please...I...mom...please...please....." He cried.
Queen Gayle pressed her fingers against the girl's pulse. She looked up and glared at her son. She waved her hand and the cat immediately laid down and went to sleep.
Easton looked down in shame. "I.....I....."
Queen Gayle flickered out.
Easton looked covered his eyes with his palm in frustration. "Fuck!"
Queen Gayle reappeared with a vial. "Go to your room and stay there! You're fucking intoxicated."
"Is she-----"
"NOW!" Queen Gayle snapped her finger to make her son disappear. She turned to the girl on the bed. "Oh your poor----" she trailed off as she stared at the gold marks creeping up and spiraling up the young girl's arm.
Queen Gayle opened her hand and took out the small golden family heirloom in the palm of Saria's hand. "Easton...." she whispered in frustration. "No point claiming a mate if you suck her dry----"
**
I gasped and shot out of my bed, I looked around frantically. I blinked in confusion. What happened? Had I fallen asleep after the conversation with my mom? I stared at the clock. "Fuck!" I'd missed combat class again. I sat up and stared in confusion that there was something in my hand. I separated my fingers to reveal a small gold ball.
"What the fuck is this?" I whispered in awe.
