(March 1st) Sarafina's POV

Harry is back to stalking Draco. Classes are getting tougher as we draw closer to exams. Katie is still not back from Saint Mungo's. So I am still filling in for her on the quidditch team. Harry is pushing us hard at practice as we'll be facing Hufflepuff in a week.

The Hogsmeade visit was cancelled. Which Ron is upset about. But I'm fine with it. Anyway today is mine and Ron's birthday. I can't believe we're finally seventeen and of age.

"Happy Birthday Sara" Hermione says smiling.

"Thanks Mione" I say smiling. Just then Ginny comes in with a present.

"Happy Birthday Fina" she says handing it to me. I open it to see a bag of sugar quills with a real quill among them. "It's an auto writes quill, to help you with your notes for studying" she tells me.

"Thank you Ginny" I say hugging her. Yuki comes in and drops a dead grass hopper on my bed. "Oh thank you girl, you can eat it" I tell her. She eats it happily. I start to open my presents. Hermione gave me a book on healing. Hagrid gave me a cake, Harry some broom polish and Ron got me a new cloak. The twins got me a box of their latest products. Charlie sent me a book on dragons and Bill got me one on Ancient Egypt. Mum and dad got me a silver bracelet with three charms on it. Then I got a necklace from Draco with a little poem with it.

"Oh that's so sweet" the girls says.

"I know, I'm so lucky to have him" I tell them smiling. "Thank you for the gifts" I add hugging them. I put on the bracelet and necklace. I get dressed for the day, glad it's a weekend. I got all my homework done so that I can enjoy today.

We go down to the great hall for breakfast and I go sit by Draco. I kiss him on the lips. "I love the necklace, thank you" I tell him.

"You're welcome and happy birthday" he says smiling.

"Here Sara, it's from all of us" Blaise says handing me a present. I unwrap it to see a photo album with photos of me through my Hogwarts years.

"Oh thank you so much guys" I say smiling.

"You're welcome" they say. Just then Professor McGonagall approaches us.

"May I have a word Miss Weasley?" she asks me. I nod my head and follow her to her office. "Before I tell you why you're here, allow me to wish you a happy seventeenth birthday" she tells me.

"Thank you professor" I say.

"Now Wilkie has been very impressed by your progress in Apparition. So impressed he wrote to the Minister of Magic for permission for you to take your test before the twelve weeks of training ends. I am delighted to tell you he has given permission. He and Wilkie will be here later today to give you your test. If you pass you will get your license to apparate, if not then you'll retake the test when the twelve week training course ends" she explains.

"Wow, I'm honoured. Of course I'd love to do the test today" I tell her smiling. She tells me to be in the great hall in an hour. I then went to find Hermione and tell her about my test.

"I'm so happy for you, I hope you pass" she tells me.

"So do I" I tell her. We hand out and then she walks me to the great hall. She wishes me luck and I go in. I'm greeted by Professor McGonagall, Wilkie and the current Minster of Magic Rufus Scrimgeour. "Morning Professor McGonagall, Mr Twycross and Minister" I say.

"Morning Miss Weasley and happy birthday" Wilkie says.

"So what must I do?" I ask them.

"A co worker of mine is in Hogsmeade on the hill over looking the Shrieking Shack. You must apparate there and back without splinching" Wilkie explains.

"Ok" I say nodding my head.

"Remember the three Ds" he tells me. I nod my head and focus on my destination. And my determination to get there. I turn with deliberation and feel myself apparate. I land on the hill over looking the Shrieking Shack.

"Well done Miss Weasley, you appear to of arrived in one piece" a woman says. Just then a patronus appears.

"No sign of splinching on this end" Wilkie's voice says

"You ready to return dear?" she asks me. I nod my head. "Just focus on the great hall" she tells me. I concentrate on the great hall and turn. I land in front of the other three in the great hall.

"Oh well done Miss Weasley" Professor McGonagall says praising me. Another patronus appears saying no sign of splinching.

"Well I'm happy to say you past your test dear" Wilkie tells me smiling. Minister Scrimgeour produces something from his pocket. He hand sit to me and I see it's my license to apparate.

"Congratulations Miss Weasley, use your license wisely. Remember apparating is a privilege, don't abuse it" he tells me. I assured him I wouldn't and he leaves with Wilkie.

"You may go now Miss Weasley, I'm sure you have a training session" McGonagall tells me. I nod my head and run to the pitch. But when I arrive we're minus a keeper and seeker.

"Where's Harry and Ron?" I ask Ginny.

"No idea" she tells me.

"Well lets start by doing a few laps. If they don't arrive, I'll lead practice today" I tell them. They all agree and I change into my quidditch robes. We all take off and begin training. Not knowing that my brother is laying in the hospital wing after drinking poisoned mead.
