From 2.01 "City of Heroes", in the conference room, Oliver stood in front of the board.

Oliver: (voice over) "My name is Oliver Queen."

From 2.01 "City of Heroes", in the cemetery, Jill was sitting at Tommy's grave in guilt.

Jill: (voice over) "I'm Jill Wright."

From 1.06 "Legacies", in flashback to the cave on Lian Yu, Oliver was aiding Jill after they saved her from the soldiers.

Oliver lifted the back of her shirt to reveal carved tally marks in her back that were bleeding and scarred. They were all over her back, the tally marks small to include all of the number of the days. There were a few in her shoulders, as the skin of her back couldn't hold it all.

Jill: (voice over) "After five years on a hellish island..."

From 1.23 "Sacrifice", in flashback to the soldier camp, Jill jumped down from the missile launcher, taking cover.

The missile hit the ground at the soldier camp, setting it ablaze.

Jill sat back tiredly on the ground, watching the flames.

From 1.06 "Legacies", in the hideout, Oliver and Jill were training at the hideout with two metal short staffs. Oliver and shirtless. Jill was in workout clothes, including a sports bra. Oliver swung both of his up over their heads, trying to come down on her. Jill raised both of hers in an X shape to block both of his.

Jill: (voice over) "We have come to Starling City with only one goal."

From 1.08 "Vendetta", in the hideout, Jill was getting suited up.

Oliver was watching from nearby, getting suited up.

John and Justin walked closer.

Jill: (voice over) "To save the city."

From 1.21 "The Undertaking", in the casino, Oliver/Arrow fired an arrow into a man's shoulder, making him fall.

Oliver: (voice over) "But to do so..."

From 1.16 "Dead to Rights", on the helipad, Oliver/Arrow and Guillermo Barrera were fighting. Oliver stabbed him with an arrow, killing him.

Oliver: (voice over) "I can't be the killer I once was."

From 1.19 "Unfinished Business", in the lab at the asylum, Oliver/Arrow stabbed the orderly in the chest with an arrow, killing him.

From 1.23 "Sacrifice", in Merlyn Global Group, Tommy and Oliver/Arrow helped Jill/Sapphire inside to get them to the ground outside.

The building was falling apart around them.

Tommy saw rubble falling toward them, pushing them out of the way.

The debris fell onto Tommy, making him fall, pinning him down.

Jill started to pull the debris away.

A pipe had been stabbed into Tommy's chest.

Oliver and Jill were horrified.

Oliver: (voice over) "To honor my friend's memory, I must be someone else."

From 2.01 "City of Heroes", in the cemetery, Oliver and Jill stood at Tommy's grave.

From 2.01 "City of Heroes", in the foundry, Oliver and Jill walked in to join John, Justin and Felicity.

Jill: (voice over) "I must be..."

Jill looked at the knife in her hand. She morphed into Sapphire.

Jill: (voice over) "Something else."

Oliver looked at the arrow in his hand. He morphed into Arrow.

➣ ➣

From 1.01 "Pilot", there was a raging storm over the ocean.

Sara: (voice over) "Previously on Sapphire Arrow."

From 2.03 "Broken Dolls", in the courtroom, Moira was doing her trial.

Skylar, Thea, Jill and Oliver were sitting in the pew behind her.

Adam stood. "We would like to serve notice to the defense, pursuant to rule of criminal procedure 15."

Jean stood. "I would like to have a conversation with you before you seek the death penalty."

Everyone was in shock.

From 2.03 "Broken Dolls", in Iron Heights Prison, Jean and Moira sat at the table.

Jean looked at her in confusion. "Moira, what don't I know?"

"There are some things... that must never be spoken of," Moira told her.

From 1.23 "Sacrifice", in the hideout, Oliver, Jill, John, Justin and Felicity were talking.

Oliver looked at Jill. "He's beaten me twice. He's almost killed me both times. If it hadn't been for you, he would have."

From 1.21 "The Undertaking", on the road in Malcolm's car, Malcolm Merlyn was driving as the Dark Archer, pulling off his hood.

Oliver: (voice over from 1.23 Sacrifice) "And I don't know how to stop him."

From 1.23 "Sacrifice", on the rooftop of Merlyn Global Group, there were flashes of Oliver/Arrow and Jill/Sapphire fighting Malcolm/The Dark Archer.

Jill: (voice over from 1.23 Sacrifice) "I do. Together."

Malcolm stabbed the sword into Jill's stomach.

Oliver aimed his bow and arrow at Malcolm.

Malcolm walked around to stand behind Jill, lifting her up to her feet to hold her life as leverage against Oliver.

Jill grew furious, driving the sword deeper into her stomach out through her back to stab Malcolm in the stomach, making him let go of her and fall to the ground. She fell to her knees weakly.

From 2.03 "Broken Dolls", in the warehouse, Amy/Ruby landed on the ground in a crouch, drawing her Sai knives, holding them out to either side of her, spinning to kick Mathis's legs out from underneath him, slashing the blades into his shoulder, spinning around to slash it into his legs, making him fall.

From 2.04 "Crucible", in the alley, Jill/Sapphire had Amy/Ruby cornered. "Who are you?"

"Once you know, your life will never be the same," Amy told her.

Jill walked closer. "I could take it."

"Not this time," Amy told her. "Little Sapphire."

Jill was in shock, not quite believing.

Amy slowly, hesitantly reached up to take off her mask, revealing she was really her sister.

Jill was in shock from seeing her sister alive, backing away, instinctively taking off her mask. "Amy?"

From 2.04 "Crucible", in the clock tower, Amy and Sara were suited up, without their masks.

Amy slowly sat down. "She knows who I am. She's my family, Sara. And she's thought I was dead for six years."

Sara sat down in front of her. "My dad and my sisters have thought I've been dead for five."

Day One

Night - Clock Tower

Sara was standing by the window, looking outside, thinking.

➣

Flashback - Five Years Ago

Night - Ocean

The Queen's Gambit - Oliver and Sara's Room

Sara was lying on the bed, wearing undergarments and a robe, on the phone. "Yeah, Jess, college is great. No, me and my new roommate totally hit it off." She looked toward where Oliver was sitting in a chair. They both smiled. "We're like besties. Okay. Yeah, Jessie, I got to get back to Chem lab. Yes. It looks like I got a long night ahead of me."

Oliver stood, whispering to Sara. "Get off the phone."

Sara spoke into the phone. "Love you, Jessica. Bye." She hung up, sitting up, chuckling. "Ollie. You are trouble."

Oliver sat on the bed next to her. "How is Jessica?"

"Ah, she's too focused on finally becoming a cop like our dad to recognize when her younger sister is lying to her, even over the phone," Sara answered, drinking the rest of her wine, handing the glass to Oliver, sighing. "Guess I was thirsty." Oliver took the glass, setting it down. Sara listened to the thunder outside. "Did you hear that? One, two, three..." There was more thunder. "It's getting closer."

Oliver poured them both a glass of wine, walking closer. "That's not very scientific."

Sara took her wine glass from him. "And what would you know about science, Mr. Ivy League drop out?"

Oliver sat on the bed next to her. "I happen to know a lot about science. I know... fermentation. I know... biology."

They slowly started to kiss.

Sara pulled away, smiling. "Mm. Laurel's going to kill me. She's so going to kill me."

"Your sister will never know," Oliver told her. "Just come here."

They put down their glasses.

Oliver laid her down.

Sara giggled.

The lights went out.

There was lightning striking outside the window.

"Okay, that one was really close," Sara told him.

The lights turned back on.

"Sara, we're going to be fine," Oliver told her.

They started to kiss.

The bomb that Frank Chen had put onto the boat went off, making the yacht tip over, making Oliver and Sara fall off the bed into the wall.

Sara laid on the floor nearby him, looking around. "Oliver?"

Oliver sat up. "Sara?" Another burst from the bomb tore the side of the yacht off, allowing water to flood inside, starting to take Sara away. "Sara!"

Sara screamed.

➣

  Ocean

Sara was trying to swim through the ocean, gasping for breath, screaming. "Help! Help!"

The strong current pulled Sara under.

Sara fought her way back to the top.

She heard Oliver's voice in the distance. "Sara!"

Sara screamed his name for help, though he would never hear her. "Oliver!"

➣

Now

Night - Clock Tower

Sara pulled herself out of her memories, turning away from the window.

➣

Queen Mansion - Jill's Guest Room

Jill was lying in bed, having a nightmare about the night that she had thought Amy had died. She woke up, gasping, looking around. She realized that she was in her room, and that it had just been a dream, and that she didn't have to be terrorized by the nightmare anymore now that she knew her sister was alive.

➣

Living Room

Oliver was sitting on the couch, watching the news.

Man: (on TV) "In sports, the international basketball league was busy last night with seven games on the schedule. The Cavaliers came up with a surprise upset..."

Jill walked downstairs.

"Couldn't sleep?" Oliver asked.

Jill walked closer. "Oh, you should know I don't do well with my eyes closed."

Oliver looked at her curiously. "Hey, are--"

"Don't ask me if I'm okay," Jill told him. "I am so tired of people asking me if I'm okay."

"I would never do that," Oliver told her sarcastically. "You okay?"

Jill tilted her head at him.

Oliver chuckled.

Jill walked closer. "I'm... doing better. Now that Amy and Sara have miraculously come back from the dead. I still don't understand why Sara won't tell Lance, Jessica or Laurel that she's back."

"I don't know," Oliver told her. "But you now know that your sister's back from the dead." Jill sat beside him on the couch. "How's that make you feel?"

"It feels like I finally get to have a happy ending," Jill answered.

Oliver and Jill looked at each other, smiling small smiles.

➣

Day Two

Morning - Iron Heights Prison

Moira, Skylar, Thea, Jean, Laurel and Adam were sitting at the table.

"I'm done waiting for Mr. Queen," Adam told them. "Let's get started."

Oliver walked in. "Sorry I'm late. There's an old friend..." He saw Laurel sitting at the table. "In town."

Oliver looked at Laurel in confusion.

Laurel looked down.

"I just finished explaining to your mother and sisters that Miss Lance will be sitting second chair for the prosecution," Adam told him.

"This is a conflict of interest," Jean told them. "Miss Lance practically grew up in the Queen House."

"I think you're overstating matters," Adam told her.

"Oh, we'll see when I move to conflict Miss Lance off this case," Jean told them.

"Maybe there won't be a case much longer," Adam told them. "I come here not just with Miss Lance, but also with a plea offer."

Adam slid a packet of paper to Jean.

"Life, with the possibility of parole," Laurel told them.

Jean scoffed, putting the packet back. "No. We are not pleading out. Mrs. Queen is innocent."

"She aided and abetted 503 homicides," Adam told them.

"Under duress from a homicidal manic named Malcolm Merlyn," Jean told them.  Skylar held Moira's hand. "She also withdrew from the criminal conspiracy prior to its execution."

Oliver looked at Laurel in confusion as to why she would do this.

Laurel looked down.

"Five minutes prior," Adam told them. "With Malcolm Merlyn dead, a jury's going to want to have to blame someone."

"If she doesn't take the deal, then she's facing the death penalty," Laurel told them.

Skylar scoffed. "Sounds a lot like blackmail."

"Try reality," Adam told them. "And here's some more. We've subpoenaed over a decades's worth of phone messages, phone records, letters and emails. I'm willing to bet I find something that crushes your duress defense to powder."

"Mr. Donner, if you don't mind, I'd like a few days to consider your offer," Moira told him.

"Of course," Adam told her, standing, walking out, leaving.

"Excuse me," Laurel told them, walking out, leaving.

Oliver looked at Thea, Skylar and Moira. "I'll be right back."

Thea nodded.

➣

Outside

Adam and Laurel walked outside.

Oliver followed them. "Laurel?"

Adam looked at Laurel. "I'll meet you at the car."

Adam walked away.

Laurel turned to face Oliver.

"You're prosecuting my mother?" Oliver asked.

"I didn't ask for this case," Laurel told him. "I was assigned."

"So say no," Oliver told her.

"It's a new job, Oliver," Laurel told him. "I don't have a lot of pull. And what pull I do have, I used to get that plea bargain for your mother."

"This was your idea?" Oliver asked incredulously. "Life in prison?"

"The DA is serious about the death penalty, Ollie," Laurel told him. "We both know what it's like to lose someone. So think about it and save your mother's life."

Laurel walked away, leaving.

Oliver watched her go, sighing.

➣

Clock Tower

Sara was sitting by the window, looking outside toward the sun.

➣

Flashback

Day - Ocean

Sara was just waking up on a raft, looking around.

A yellow canary landed on the water nearby, tweeting, flying away.

Sara watched the canary fly away toward the freighter, turning on her side toward the only help she had in hundreds of miles, trying to call out, but she had mostly lost her voice. "Help! Help! Over here!"

Sara breathed heavily, lying her head down.

➣

Now

Day - Clock Tower

Sara was still lost in the past.

Amy sat next to her. "Sara? Sara." Sara pulled of her memories, looking at Amy. "You okay?"

Sara nodded. "Yeah."

Jill found Sara and Amy in the clock tower.

Amy stood. "Jill."

"Hey, guys," Jill told them.

"How did everything go with Moira?" Sara asked.

"Laurel's working on the case," Jill told them. "She decided on a plea bargain. Moira being in prison for life with the possibility of parole or the death penalty."

Amy looked at her worriedly. "Jill... I'm so sorry."

"It's the best case scenario," Jill told them.

"I can't believe Laurel would do something like this," Sara told them.

"She might be a little less keen on doing something like this if her sister was able to talk to her," Jill told her. Sara looked down. "I don't understand why you're keeping your secret, but I know how to keep it. Are you not telling them because of what happened on the island?"

"No," Sara answered. "I'm not telling them because of the things that happened after. There were things that I did... things that I had to do to survive. Me and your sister both had to do. Things that there's no forgiveness for."

"Well, that's the thing about forgiveness," Jill told them. "You can't get it until you ask for it." A man broke into the clock tower, donning a Dark Archer suit. Jill looked at him in shock. "Merlyn?"

The man slashed his sword toward Jill. Jill ducked, kicking him in the leg. The man tried to punch Sara. Sara ducked. Amy restrained the man from behind, spinning his sword back to face him, making it graze his side, kicking him away. The man tried to punch Jill. Jill ducked, backhand punching him in the face. Sara kicked the man back. Sara, Amy and Jill started to run. Sara picked up her staff from the floor. Amy picked up her Sai knives, tossing one to Jill. Jill caught it. The man ran closer, trying to slash into them. Amy raised her Sai knife to block the move. Sara used her staff to hit the man twice, spinning to hit him again. The man raised his sword to block the move. Jill used her Sai knife to hit him in the face, kicking him in the chest, making him back away. The man slashed his sword toward Amy. Amy raised her Sai knife to block the move. The man slashed his sword across Jill's arm, making her groan in pain, hitting Sara in the face with the hilt of his sword, kicking her to the ground. He tried to slash into Amy. Amy raised her Sai knife to keep the sword away from her head, pushing his sword away. The man tried to punch her. Amy ducked, slashing her Sai knife across his face. The man tried to slash into her. Amy ducked. The man kicked Jill in the stomach. Jill stabbed him in the leg with her Sai knife. The man spun to try and slash into Jill. Jill caught his arm, throwing him across the clock tower into a table, making him break the wood and fall to the ground. She walked closer, kicking the sword out of his hands, taking off his mask.

The man was not Malcolm Merlyn.

"Who are you?" Jill asked.

"Just a warrior," the man answered. "Like you."

Amy knelt next to Sara, helping her stand.

Jill looked at the man. "Why are you dressed like Malcolm Merlyn? Huh? Who sent you?"

The man threw his sword into the rafters above their heads.

The rafters fell down toward Jill, Amy and Sara. The girls ducked out of the way and into safety. They turned to look toward where the man had been, seeing that he had taken off. They were all breathing heavily.

Jill looked at Amy and Sara in confusion.

➣ Sapphire Arrow ➣

Verdant - Foundry

Jill had taken Amy and Sara to the foundry of Verdant.

Sara looked at Arrow's suit in the case. "I remember the first time I saw this hood. Shado was wearing it."

Amy looked at Jill. "This is quite the setup that you got here. Where you and Oliver are launching your two-man war for Starling."

"We're not the only ones," Jill told them. Oliver, John, Justin and Felicity walked in. "These are our friends. This is John Diggle and Justin and Felicity Smoak. Guys. This is Sara Lance and Amy Wright."

"Welcome home, Sara," Justin told her. "Welcome to Starling City, Amy."

"I was happy to hear you're not dead anymore," Felicity told them. "I mean, I didn't know you before you didn't die the first times. I'm still glad you're alive."

"Thank you," Sara told her.

Oliver smiled a small smile. "Sara." Oliver and Sara embraced, pulling away. "Welcome home." Sara managed a small smile. Oliver offered his hand to Amy. "It is good to finally meet you, Amy, and not as Ruby." Amy shook his hand. "I've heard a lot about you."

Amy looked at Jill, smiling a small smile. "I'm sure."

"We just had an uninvited guest in the clock tower where they're hiding out," Jill told them. "Trained. Highly skilled. And he was dressed like Merlyn."

"Well, the last I checked, Malcolm Merlyn was dead, courtesy of you driving a sword through your own back to stab him in the stomach because he stabbed you first," Justin told her.

"It wasn't him," Jill told them. "It was a follower, an underling, bent on revenge. Whoever it was... he knows who I am."

Jill handed a bag to Felicity.

"Gee, I didn't get you a bag of dirt," Felicity told her.

"I found it in the tower," Jill told them. "Copycat Merlyn tracked it in. I want you to analyze it. Hopefully it'll lead us right to him."

Amy and Sara exchanged a look, looking away.

"Then what?" Felicity asked

"If this pretender wants to follow Malcolm Merlyn so badly, he can follow him right into a grave," Oliver told them.

"Sara?" Jill asked. "Amy? We'll find this guy."

"I don't want you to," Sara told them.

They looked at them in confusion.

"What do you mean?" Oliver asked.

"He wasn't after you, Jill," Amy told her. "He's after us."

"Who is he?" Jill asked.

"He's called Al Ow-Al, 'The First'," Sara answered. "And he's a member of the League of Assassins."

"The League of Assassins?" John repeated. "I thought they were a myth."

"What's the League of Assassins?" Felicity asked. "And please, don't say it's a League made up of assassins."

Oliver and Jill exchanged a frustrated look.

"No, it's an urban legend," John told them. "I heard about them in Afghanistan from a tribal leader. He claimed there was an ancient sect of assassins." Oliver and Jill looked at Sara and Amy. "Deadly warriors that killed and vanished like ghosts. Thought he was smoking what he was selling."

"I tried to tell you, Jill, but you wouldn't listen," Amy told her.

"That's where you've been for the past six years?" Jill asked. "That's where you learned to fight." Amy nodded. Jill looked from Amy to Sara. "You're part of the League."

"After the shipwreck, a member of the League rescued me," Amy told her. "Took me in and brought me to Nanda Parbatt. They remade me into what I am. A year later, they took me back to that island hoping to find you. And we found Sara instead. They taught her like they taught me. And we swore our allegiance to them."

"Why are they kicking down doors trying to find you now?" Justin asked.

"Because we left," Sara answered. "And there's only one way that you leave the League."

Jill looked at Amy. "Is that why you didn't want to tell me that you were back?" She looked at Sara. "Why you didn't want to see your family?"

Sara took a deep breath. "A year ago, I was in Guyana. I was sent there for a man named Suarez. He was a local diplomat. And I slit his throat. In his bed. And his kids... they found his body in the morning. I'm a murderer. You think that my family will be happy to see me?"

Amy looked at Jill. "Yes. This is why I didn't want you to see me. Because I have done missions like this. I didn't want you to see me for what I am now."

Jill looked down, disconcerted.

Oliver's phone vibrated. He looked at the text from Skylar.

Where are you?

Oliver sighed, looking up. "I have to go to Iron Heights. Felicity, I need you to find this Al Ow-Al."

Felicity nodded.

Oliver looked at Sara, Amy and Jill for a moment, walking out, leaving.

Jill looked at Sara and Amy.

Sara looked down, remembering.

Flashback

Day - Freighter - Hallway

Men brought Sara into the freighter.

"Thank you, thank you," Sara told them.

"What were you doing out there?" the captain asked.

"The boat that I was on, and we got caught in the storm," Sara explained. The captain and another man grabbed Sara, dragging her down the hallway. "Wait, wait, wait, guys. Wait!" Sara started to struggled. "I--Robert Queen. Robert Queen, it was his boat, and--and he'll pay whatever you want. Please."

➣

Cages

The two men brought Sara to the cages, putting her into a cell.

Sara was crying. "Please, please, please, no." They pushed her down to the coat on the floor, closing and locking the door. Sara turned back. "Please, no! No! You've made a mistake. Please let me out. Why won't you let me--" The two men started to walk away. "No, please, come back! Let me out!"

Now

Day - Iron Heights Prison

Moira, Thea, Skylar and Jean were talking.

Oliver walked in.

Thea looked at Moira incredulously. "You cannot be serious."

"What's going on here?" Oliver asked.

"She wants to take the deal," Thea answered.

"Mom," Oliver told her. "If this is about the death penalty..."

"I've been explaining this to your mother," Jean told them. "Even if we ever get to sentencing, you were acting under duress. I have everything I need to keep them from sentencing you to death."

"The death penalty doesn't scare me, Jean," Moira told her.

"Then why aren't you fighting?" Skylar asked.

"I have my reasons," Moira told them.

"Name one," Skylar told her.

"Because I'm tired of fighting," Moira told them. "I am not confident that I can win over a jury. And I'm not altogether certain that I deserve to."

"That was actually three," Thea told her.

"Thea..." Moira trailed off, trying to place her hands on her daughter's shoulders.

Thea backed away. "No, seriously, you're just ready to give up? Just take your medicine and spend the rest of your life in here?" She held her hands toward Skylar and Oliver. "We still need you. I still need you." She scoffed, shaking her head. "I--I can't take this."

Thea walked out, leaving.

Skylar sighed, holding her head.

Jean walked out, leaving.

Moira sat at the table with Skylar and Oliver.

"Growing up, I didn't think that there were secrets kept between us," Skylar told her. "Last year, I learned different. And I've gotten pretty good at knowing when you're hiding something from me. So, Mom... what are you hiding now?"

Moira took Skylar's hands in her own. "Help your sister come to terms with my choice, because it's made."

Skylar shook her head, taking her hands from Moira, standing, walking out, leaving.

Oliver looked at Moira. "I'll talk to them when I can."

Moira nodded. "Thank you."

Verdant - Foundry

Felicity was analyzing the bag of dirt from before.

Jill was working out in workout clothes to get rid of the jitters and the frustration, punching a bag repeatedly.

Amy walked closer. "I'm sorry if I upset you before."

"We all join clubs we wish we hadn't," Jill told her.

Amy stopped the bag she was punching. "Jill."

"Amy," Jill replied.

"I know this isn't what you wanted to hear," Amy told her. "And I was afraid of how you would react once you knew the truth. But it wasn't like anything I had expected of you. So, thank you. For not making me feel like what I am."

Jill nodded barely, sighing heavily.

Oliver walked in.

"How'd it go with your mother?" John asked.

"Not well," Oliver answered. "Have you found somebody for me to hit yet?"

"Could be," Felicity answered. "Spectro analysis of the dirt from the clock tower had trace amounts of aldicarb in them."

Amy and Jill walked toward them.

"What?" Sara asked.

"It's a pesticide," Felicity explained. "Starling City use to have its own Aldicarb plant, but per the EPA, it was shut down three years ago."

"What's it being used for now?" Oliver asked.

"Nothing," Justin answered. "It's abandoned. But my guess is, it's the home base to one League of Assassins assassin."

Oliver and Jill walked toward their suits.

"He will kill you," Sara told them.

"Like both of you, we are not that easy to get rid of," Oliver told them.

"This is our fight," Sara told them.

"He made it my fight when he came after my sister and tried to kill me for protecting her," Jill told them.

"He made it my fight when he threatened two people I care about and somebody that is a friend to one and a sister to the other," Oliver told them.

Oliver and Jill walked away to get suited up.

Sara and Amy exchanged a look, sighing.

Jill/Sapphire:

Amy/Ruby:

Abandoned Plant

Al Ow-Al was in the abandoned plant. He sensed something, catching an arrow before it pierced into the back of his head, turning around to face Oliver/Arrow and Jill/Sapphire, smirking. "Arrows. Such an ineffective projectile. I find it strange anyone who still fears them."

"I'll show you why, if you don't leave Sara Lance and Amy Wright alone," Oliver told him. "This is your only warning."

"And it would be effective, were you to pose a threat to me," Al Ow-Al told them. "You barely defeated Malcolm Merlyn at nearly the cost of your own lives. What hope would you have against the man who trained him?"

"Hopes that we didn't come alone," Jill told him.

Al Ow-Al turned around to see Sara/Canary and Amy/Ruby standing on the balcony behind him. "Ra's Al Ghul awaits your return."

"We're not going back," Amy told him.

"That's not your choice," Al Ow-Al told them. "I have orders to return you... alive or dead."

"You're not going to kill either of us," Sara told him.

"You overestimate your importance," Al Ow-Al told them. "Regardless, you're coming back with us."

"Us?" Jill repeated.

Al Ow-Al smirked. "Like you, I did not come alone."

Three men in the same uniforms as Al Ow-Al jumped down from the rafters, landing on the balcony behind Sara and Amy.

Amy drew her Sai knives.

Oliver shot an arrow into Al Ow-Al's shoulder, jumping down from the balcony he was standing on to try and hit him with his bow. Al Ow-Al raised his sword to block the move, trying to punch Oliver. Oliver raised his arm to block the move.

Amy kicked Assassin 1 in the stomach, spinning to slash her Sai knives into his arms.

Sara kicked Assassin 2 in the chest. Assassin 3 tried to restrain her from behind.

Jill took out her crossbow claw, shooting it into the ceiling above the balcony, swinging across the way to kick Assassin 3 away from Sara, letting go of the crossbow, flipping through the air to land on the balcony in a crouch.

Sara spun to use her staff to hit Assassin 2 in the face, kicking him back, pushing him against the railing of the balcony, spinning to hit him in the head with the staff.

Jill stood. Assassin 3 tried to slash into her with his sword. Jill raised her own sword to block the move. Assassin 3 slashed toward her. Jill ducked, kicking him in the chest, making him back away into the railing of the balcony.

Amy grabbed Assassin 1, turning around, throwing him across a gap in the balcony, jumping over the gap to get to him again, slashing her Sai knives toward him. Assassin 1 ducked, making her slash into a pipe next to his head and releasing fog into the air.

Oliver hit Al Ow-Al in the face with his bow, spinning to kick him in the back, punching him in the face, making him fall.

Assassin 2 slashed into Amy's back, making her groan in pain.

Jill was still in a fight with Assassin 3, using one sword to block his move, using her other sword to slash into Assassin 3's back, making him let Amy go. She took out another claw to shoot up into the ceiling, grabbing Amy, pulling them both up to the glass, making them shatter through to the ceiling.

Oliver shot a claw into the ceiling, pulling himself and Sara up to the ceiling along with Jill and Amy.

Al Ow-Al called up after them. "If you will not return willingly, we'll stay to bury your family."

Verdant - Foundry

Sara was sewing Amy's wound closed.

Felicity was watching nearby. "You're not even flinching when she..."

"Pain and I came to a little understanding few years back," Amy told them.

Sara put a hand on Amy's shoulder. "Done."

Oliver, Jill, Justin and John were talking nearby.

"The League of Assassins," Jill told them. She looked toward Amy. "Why wouldn't she tell me what happened to her all those years?"

"Probably the same reason why you didn't tell us what happened to you on the island," John told them.

Oliver sighed. "We need to protect the Lances."

"I'll take Laurel," Sara told them.

"What can I do?" Amy asked.

"Nothing," Jill answered. "You're hurt, and you need to stay here."

"I'll go talk to Jessica," Justin told them.

"I'll talk to Lance," Felicity told them.

"Tell them they need to get out of town for a couple of days," Oliver told them.

Sara turned to face Justin and Felicity. "Please don't tell them about me."

"We can keep a secret," Justin told her. He nodded to Oliver and Jill. "Just ask them."

"You five are quite the team," Amy told them.

John nodded. "We have our moments."

Amy looked at Jill. "But it's not just the Lances that the League will be going after to get to Sara. They'll be going after you to get to me."

"I can take care of myself," Jill told her.

"Not against these guys," Amy told her.

"She'll have help," Oliver told them.

Amy sighed, nodding.

Sara watched their bond, managing a small smile.

Night - Freighter - Cages

Sara was lying on her cot.

The captain walked closer, tapping on the door with the key. "Get up."

Sara sat up.

The captain unlocked the door, walking inside.

"No, no, please," Sara told him. The captain dragged Sara to her feet. "Please, please, no!"

The captain and another man pulled her toward a group of men.

"The more you struggle, the more it'll hurt," the captain told her.

Sara struggled fiercely. "No, no, please! Please."

They heard a man's voice. "Wait." Anthony Ivo walked toward them. "Let her go."

"You don't give me orders," the captain told him.

"No, that would be the captain," Ivo told him. "But he works for me. Doesn't he?"

The captain pushed Sara into Ivo's arms.

Sara was crying. "Help me, please."

Ivo helped Sara stand. "Come here."

Ivo led Sara toward the back.

Night - Street

Lance was walking alone, on the phone. "Laurel, listen, it's your father, again. Okay, now listen. Please, just--just call me, okay?"

Felicity walked closer. "Detective Lance. I knew you'd be getting home around now. Which I knew because I kind of pinged your cellphone."

"Miss Smoak," Lance told her, walking toward his home.

Felicity followed him. "You have cockroaches, and they mean business."

"Since when did you start making house calls?" Lance asked.

"Since you're in danger," Felicity answered.

"I'm not afraid of cockroaches," Lance told her.

Felicity grabbed his shoulder, making him stop walking. "Yes, you're in real danger. You need to get out of town for a couple days."

"Listen, I'm in danger every time I go out into the field, so you're going to have to be a little more specific," Lance told her.

"There's an organization called the League of Assassins, and four of its members are targeting you," Felicity told him. Lance rolled his eyes. "It... sounded a little less crazy in my head."

"I doubt it," Lance told her.

"Malcolm Merlyn was apparently a member," Felicity told him. "That should give you some sort of idea about the type of people we're dealing with."

"Okay, I'll bite," Lance told her. "What did I do to piss them off?"

Felicity hesitated. "That... um... is a really long story. You just... you need to trust me. You're not safe here in Starling City."

"Smoak, nobody's safe, okay?" Lance asked. "Especially not us cops. We get shot at for a living. And my shift? It just ended."

Lance turned toward his home.

"Detective Lance," Felicity told him.

"Goodnight," Lance told her, walking inside.

Felicity stopped at the door. "Wait, you need to listen to me."

"Goodnight, Miss Smoak," Lance told her, walking upstairs, leaving her field of sight.

Felicity sighed heavily. "So I guess this means you're not leaving town?"

District Attorney's Office

Laurel was sitting at her desk, turning her computer off.

Jessica walked up to her. "Evening." Laurel looked up. "Look, I know you're still mad at me for what I said after you got pulled over last week, and in the park the next morning. It's just--it's not right, us not talking."

Laurel sighed, standing. "I'm not mad at you, Jessica."

Jessica looked at her in confusion. "You're not?"

"No," Laurel answered, pulling on her jacket. "You're just looking out for me. How can I be mad at you for that?"

"Okay, good," Jessica told her. "Well, I was in the neighborhood, thought I would swing by and see if I could give you a ride home. And maybe get a bite to eat, 'cause I'm starving."

"It's been a long day," Laurel told her. "I don't need an even longer night of you trying to talk me out of Moira Queen's plea agreement. That's really why you're here, right?"

Laurel turned to leave.

Jessica stepped in her way. "Laurel, I promise, this has nothing to do with the Queen case. I just want to get my sister to start talking to me again. You've had a rough couple of weeks. You really going to tell me you couldn't use your younger sister right now?" Laurel smiled a small smile. Jessica nodded knowingly. "Come on."

Laurel and Jessica linked arms, walking out together, leaving.

Verdant - Foundry

Sara was waiting with John.

Justin walked in. "Hey."

Sara looked up. "Did you get to talk to Jessica?"

"No," Justin answered. "She went to the DA's office to pick Laurel up from work, though, and they're going out to have dinner. So, they'll be together. That's easier for us to keep an eye on them."

"And easier for the League to target them," Sara told them, grabbing her jacket.

Felicity walked in.

"How'd it go?" John asked.

"Badly," Felicity answered, pulling off her jacket. "He either didn't believe me or didn't take me seriously. In hindsight, I probably shouldn't have led with League of Assassins." She sat down at the computers. "What do we do now?"

Sara looked at John and Justin. "You two track Jessica and Laurel. Keep an eye on them. I'm going to my father's."

"I thought you didn't want your father to know that you're still alive," John told her.

"I don't, but it's better than him not being," Sara told them. "Just watch my sisters. Make sure they're safe."

Sara walked out, leaving.

Lance's Home - Outside

Lance walked outside toward his car. He heard footsteps, looking around. He chalked it up to him being paranoid over what Felicity had told him, chuckling at himself, walking down the sidewalk.

Kids ran across the street in the dark, giggling, following a dog.

Lance sighed, chuckling. He got to his car, about to unlock the door, hearing footsteps behind him, drawing his gun, turning around to aim at Sara.

Sara stepped closer, out of the shadows for him to see her face.

Lance looked at her in shock. "No, it can't be. It can't be Sara."

"It's me," Sara told him. "It's Sara." She stepped closer, lowering his gun. "Daddy... it's okay."

Sara started to cry, wrapping her arms around her father.

Lance returned the embrace, holding his daughter close to him, starting to cry. "Sara? Sara."

They both cried in relief to be in the other's arms again.

Chinese Restaurant

Sara and Lance sat at the counter.

Sara looked at the waiter, speaking Chinese.

"You speak Chinese now?" Lance asked.

Sara smiled a small smile, looking down. "Picked up a couple things in the past few years."

Lance rubbed his hand over his face. "Yes. Why didn't you let us know that you were alive?" Sara looked away. "I mean, your mother and I, we... we missed you. And your sisters did, too. You know that, right?"

"I know you got divorced," Sara told him.

Lance sighed, nodding. "Yeah. But it wasn't your fault. That was on me."

"Because of me," Sara told him. "I'm sorry."

"It's all right," Lance told her. "None of that matters now. You know why? 'Cause you're home, sweetie. You're home." Lance kissed her on the head. They heard glass breaking. Sara instinctively grabbed the knife off the counter, turning toward the sound, only to see that the waitress had dropped a glass. She sat down. Lance put a hand on her shoulder. "Are you in trouble? Huh?"

Sara shook her head. "No, Dad. You are."

Lance looked at her in realization. "You sent Felicity Smoak to warn me to leave town. You know the Arrow and Sapphire. You're the girl in the black leather. You and the lady in red have been kicking the crap out of creeps in the Glades. You've been home for weeks." Sara looked at him sadly. "Tell me something. If these assassins, if they hadn't shown up, would you have ever let us know that you were alive?"

"No," Sara answered.

"Felicity said that these guys were part of a League of something," Lance told her. "What do they want with you?"

"What all assassins want," Sara answered. "To terminate their objective."

"Oh, this is crazy," Lance told her.

Sara stood. "Dad, we have to go."

"No, we are not going anywhere," Lance told her. "Not until you sit down and you tell me exactly what you've gotten yourself into."

"You are an amazing cop and you are strong and decent and honest," Sara told him. "But these men, they will cut you down before you can lift a finger. And you're not the only one that they would go after to get to me."

Lance realized who she meant. "Jessica and Laurel." He looked at her worriedly. "They would go after your sisters?"

Sara nodded. "Now please, come with me."

Lance stood.

They walked out, leaving.

Day - Freighter - Lab

Ivo led Sara inside. "I'm afraid it's not much, but, uh... it's home."

Sara walked inside, looking around.

Ivo closed and locked the door behind them.

Sara turned to face him in fear. "Why did you lock the door?"

"No, no, no, no," Ivo told her. "It's not because..." He sighed. "It's just a habit. My shipmates aren't exactly the nicest bunch." He walked down the steps. "Please, come in. Have a seat." Sara walked down the steps, sitting in a chair, gasping and crying in devastation and fear. Ivo brought a stool over to sit down in front of her. "My name is Ivo. Dr. Anthony Ivo. And you are?"

"Sara," Sara answered.

"Nice to meet you, Sara," Ivo told her.

"Why do you keep those people down there in those cells?" Sara asked.

"It's my work," Ivo told her. "I need them."

"What work?" Sara asked.

Ivo looked down, smiling. 'I am going to save the human race, Sara." He looked up. "Maybe you can help me."

Sara looked at him in confusion.

Night - Apartment Building - Hallway

Jessica and Laurel walked toward Laurel's apartment.

"I noticed you didn't have a drink at dinner," Jessica told her.

"No, I didn't," Laurel agreed. "So will you now admit that you overreacted last week when you thought that I was becoming a drunk just like our dad?"

"I am prepared to admit that I care about you," Jessica told her.

"Is that why you insisted on walking me to my door?" Laurel asked.

"You know me," Jessica told her. "I just wanted to make sure you were safe."

Laurel smiled, nodding. "This is safe."

"I was just wondering if you wanted to talk more about what we talked about at dinner," Jessica told her. "I know that it's hard to talk about these things, but it does help, you know."

Laurel nodded. "Yeah. You mean when I told that it was like everyone was running away from me? 'Run, run away from Laurel, run as fast as you can.' Sara... she got on 'The Gambit' with Oliver. Our father, he--he climbed into a bottle. Our mother, she--she climbed into her car and she drove away. And when Danny died, you ran away to your work. He pushed everyone away, and I know you regret doing that now, but you can't go back and change it. And then Tommy... what is so wrong with me that everybody leaves?"

"I will never leave you," Jessica told her.

"Until you do," Laurel told her. "I'm not saying that it would be your choice. But that it might be something that happens to you. You're a cop, Jessie, and you're in danger every time you put on your uniform. And if you somehow by miracle become a detective again, then you'll be in even more danger like you were before. I know that you wouldn't abandon me. But what if something happened to you like something happened to Tommy?"

Jessica looked at her sadly, shaking her head, pulling Laurel into her arms.

Laurel was trying not to cry.

Jessica looked over her shoulder toward where Laurel's door was slightly open, frowning in confusion. "Did you lock that?"

They pulled away from their embrace, looking at the door in confusion.

"I thought I did," Laurel told her.

Jessica pulled her gun out of her holster underneath her shirt. "Stay here."

➣

Laurel's Apartment

Jessica slowly walked in, aiming her gun around cautiously. She found a knife in the wall, walking closer in confusion.

Laurel walked in. "Jessie?" Jessica turned to face her, lowering her gun. "Anything?"

Jessica pulled the knife out of the wall. "Just this. Nothing seems to be missing. Nothing else out of the ordinary. I'll call it in."

Jessica walked closer.

"Listen, I'm sorry about what I said," Laurel told her.

"Don't be," Jessica told her. "Just stay here."

Laurel nodded.

Jessica walked out, leaving to call it in.

Laurel put her purse on the table, pulling out a pill bottle, opening it, pouring two pills into her hand, taking them.

Outside

Justin and John were keeping an eye on Jessica and Laurel.

Jessica walked toward her car, holding the knife, getting inside to call the break-in in.

Sara/Canary and Lance walked closer to Justin and John in the shadows.

"Al Ow-Al was at Laurel's place," Justin told him. "They're fine. Looks like he moved out before they got there."

"But if we're not his target..." Lance asked.

"Then he's going after my friend and her family," Sara told him.

"Your friend?" Lance repeated. "The lady in red?"

"She likes to go by Ruby," John told him.

"She was apart of this League, too?" Lance asked.

"More so than I ever was," Sara answered.

John pulled out his phone, walking away down the street to call Oliver, far enough away so that Lance wouldn't hear what he said. "The League's not going after my family. He's going after Amy and Jill. Find them, Oliver."

Jill / Sapphire:

Amy / Ruby:

Clock Tower

Amy/Ruby and Jill/Sapphire walked into the clock tower hideout, without their masks on.

"You think it's safe up here?" Jill asked.

Amy looked out of the boarded up windows. "It's a good vantage point. You can see the whole city."

"Like a bird on a wire," Jill told her.

"Where I was, they have you choose a new name," Amy told her. "I chose Yaqut. It's Arabic."

"Let me guess," Jill told her. "For Ruby."

"Pay the girl," Amy told her.

"You called yourself Ruby because you called me Sapphire," Jill told her. "They were our favorite gems growing up."

Amy nodded. "I was as far from home as you can get, but I never forgot where I came from." She turned to face Jill. "You know how they say the first thing you forget about somebody when they're gone is their voice? You can remember their face, and the way they move, but you can't hold on to the way they sound." She walked toward her little sister. "I never forgot your voice, Jill."

"Why are you telling me this?" Jill asked.

"Because I want you to know that even if I'm not the Amy that you remember, I still have a part of her," Amy answered. "And I'm trying to get back to the way she was."

Jill and Amy looked at each other for a moment, embracing for a long moment. They heard something in the distance, pulling away, looking in that direction. They exchanged a look, putting on their masks.

Al Ow-Al and the three assassins walked closer with their swords drawn.

In sync, Jill took drew her swords from the sheath on her back, and Amy took out her Sai knives. They both spun their blades readily.

➣ ➣

Al Ow-Al held his sword toward the two sisters. "Did you really think we weren't going to find you here?"

"No," Amy answered. "We knew you would."

"Go," Al Ow-Al told them.

Assassin 1 lunged at Jill, trying to cut into her with his sword. Jill raised both her swords to block the move.

Assassin 2 stepped onto a wire booby trap, activating it into stringing him up from the ceiling.

Jill slashed her blades against Assassin 1.

Assassin 3 slashed toward Amy. Amy ducked, slashing her blades against him, making him turn away. Ah Ow-Al slashed his blades toward Amy. Amy flipped through the air horizontally over the blades to make him miss, landing on her feet on the other side of him, stabbing him with her knives.

Assassin 1 slashed both of his swords repeatedly against Jill. Jill used her swords to block the moves, crossing them to slash out into his shoulders, making him double over in pain. Assassin 2 tried to slash into her. Jill ducked.

Al Ow-Al tried to slash into Amy. Amy ducked, spinning around behind him, slashing her Sai knives into his back, making him groan in pain.

Jill drew several knives into her hands, throwing them into the legs of the three assassins in one throw, making them fall to their knees.

Amy flipped her Sai knife through the air, catching it.

"You should be mindful of the Wright sisters," Jill told them.

Al Ow-Al looked at Amy in amusement, chuckling. "The Wrights."

Amy glared at him.

Assassin 1 slashed toward Jill. Jill deflected the blow with one of her swords, spinning around to stand behind him, slashing both blades against his back, making him fall again.

Al Ow-Al stood, slashing toward Amy with both blades. Amy used her Sai knives to block the moves, kicking him in the chest.

Assassin 2 cut himself free from the wire tying him to the ceiling, falling onto Jill, making her fall to the floor, pulling her up by her hair, putting a sword to her throat.

Amy stopped fighting.

The other two assassins and Al Ow-Al aimed their swords at both Jill and Amy.

An arrow claw was shot into the wall.

Oliver/Arrow crashed through the window on the wire, sliding toward Jill and Assassin 2, grabbing the sword from her throat, using it to flip the assassin to the floor. Assassin 1 tried to slash into him. Oliver raised his bow to block the move, punching him in the face. Assassin 1 tried to slash into him. Oliver ducked.

Al Ow-Al spun to try and slash into Amy. Amy raised her Sai knives to block the move, punching him in the face.

Assassin 3 tried to slash into Jill. Jill raised her swords over her head to block the move, pushing the assassin back, rising to her feet, kicking him in the face.

Amy slashed Al Ow-Al in the face with her Sai knives, making him fall, pulling him to his feet, standing behind him with the knives at his throat.

Assassin 2 punched Oliver in the face, making him fall. "What are you without your bow?"

Oliver stabbed him in the stomach with an arrow. "A guy with arrows."

Oliver pushed Assassin 2 off of him to the floor, standing.

Jill and Oliver looked at Amy and Al Ow-Al.

Al Ow-Al looked at Amy. "You think because you are the beloved, you will be granted your freedom?"

"There's only one freedom," Amy told him. "Let me grant you yours."

Amy snapped Al Ow-Al's neck, walking toward the other assassins to stab them with her knives.

"You don't have to do this," Oliver told her. "It's over."

"Not yet," Amy told them.

"Amy, don't do this," Jill told her.

Amy pulled an assassin off the floor. "Tell Ra's Al Ghul my sister, my friend and her family is off limits. His quarrel is with me." She let the assassin go. The remaining assassins ran out of the clock tower, leaving. Amy dropped her knives, looking at Jill and Oliver. "I'm sorry you saw that. I can't imagine what you must think of me."

"I think you're a survivor," Jill told her. "I think you're one of the bravest people I've ever known. It doesn't matter what you've done. You're my sister. And I'm not going to turn away from you."

Amy had tears in her eyes, nodding, looking down. "They are never going to stop looking for me."

"I'll protect you," Jill told her. "We'll protect you." She looked at Oliver. "Tell her it's safe to stay."

"Jill..." Amy trailed off. "If they hurt you, then I really would die."

"Amy..." Jill trailed off.

"I'm not going to let you get killed for me," Amy told her.

Jill had tears in her eyes. "I just got you back. I'm not going to lose you again." They embraced, starting to cry. "I can't let you go."

Amy took a shaky breath. "You have to."

Oliver watched them in regret.

Sara/Canary walked toward Lance. "It's over. They're gone."

Lance walked toward her, pulling her into his arms. "Then it's time for you to come home."

Sara pulled away. "I can't."

"Why not?" Lance asked.

"Because the League doesn't let people go," Sara answered. "There is only one way out, and it's with my death. And if that's enough, they'll come after my family again. I can't let you or Laurel or Jessica or Mom get hurt because of me."

"But they need to know," Lance told her.

"They can't," Sara told her. "They can't, Daddy."

"Why not?" Lance asked.

"You know why," Sara told him. "I came back to make sure that my family was safe, and you are. But if they knew I was alive, Laurel, Jessica and Mom, they would never stop looking for me, and that could get them all killed." They started to cry, embracing. "I have to--Dad, I have to--I have to go." They pulled away. "You know I'm right. You have to keep my secret."

Lance sighed shakily. "It's already the hardest thing I've ever had to do. I love you."

"I love you," Sara told him. "Goodbye."

Sara walked away, leaving.

Lance watched her go in devastation.

Day Three

Morning - Iron Heights Prison

Oliver, Thea and Skylar walked in to visit Moira. They all sat down at the table.

"I never mind getting a visit from my children, but I know why you're here," Moira told them.

"We just have one more thing to say," Skylar told her.

"Skylar, we've already been through this," Moira told her. "I am not going to change my mind."

"This is about me changing mine," Skylar told her. "Because I thought that you didn't want to go to trial over... a secret. Then I realized that even while I hate secrets, I know that there are some that have to be kept. If you're afraid that we wouldn't love you if we knew the truth..."

"Whatever you are worried about, it will not make us love you any less," Oliver told her.

"You don't know," Moira told them.

"Who do you think you raised?" Thea asked. "You taught us to be strong. That we could overcome any obstacle that we faced. To fight. Do you really think that we are going to scare that easily?"

"Whatever comes out, you won't lose us," Oliver told her.

Skylar took Moira's hand in her own. "Ever."

Moira looked at them for a moment, taken aback. "Wow. I'll instruct Jean to reject Mr. Donner's offer."

They smiled.

Inside

Lance walked in toward Laurel and Jessica. "Hey."

Laurel looked at him in surprise. "Dad. I know I owe you a phone call. We have a lot of work. Can we--Can we do this another time?"

"I just had to see you," Lance told them.

"Did something happen?" Jessica asked. "Are you okay?"

Lance walked closer. "One day, when you have a daughter of your own, you'll understand that being a parent, it means you just never stop worrying about your children."

"Dad, I'm--I'm sorry we didn't call you," Jessica told him. "We've--we've had a really long week, and now I'm tired."

"Are you all right?" Lance asked.

"I don't know," Laurel told them. "I wish there was--there was something, a... a sign that it gets better."

"It does, Laurel," Jessica told her. "It gets better."

"You would know," Laurel told her. "You went through it before."

Jessica nodded.

Lance pulled both his daughters into his arms. The three of them embraced for a long moment.

(Song:) Wherever You Will Go - The Calling

Jill was sitting down, gazing off.

Oliver walked closer with a bottle of alcohol and two glasses. "Where's Amy?"

"She left," Jill answered. "With Sara."

"Are you okay?" Oliver asked.

"If I wasn't clear the other day, I'm done answering that question," Jill told him. "I didn't have much of a choice."

Oliver sighed, showing her the bottle. "An old friend gave me this. Said I would know it was the right time to drink it."

"And now's the right time?" Jill asked.

Oliver poured them both a drink. "If it's the right time for you to drink it, it's the right time for me, too. You need a drink. And so do I." Jill took her glass without a look. Oliver raised his glass. "Prochnost. [Strength.]"

They clinked their glasses, drinking.

Jill winced slightly at the taste. "Hmm. That's... strong. Keep my glass full, please."

"After what happened, I will keep both our glasses full," Oliver told her, taking a seat next to her.

"So, you were right," Jill told him.

"I usually am, Jill," Oliver told her, trying to make her feel better. They both chuckled. "About what, specifically?"

"Our past... doesn't want to stay buried," Jill told him. "No matter how hard we try. I don't want to try so hard anymore."

"What are you saying?" Oliver asked.

"I want to tell someone about what really happened," Jill answered. "All of it. Not just some of it. And the only ones I can think of that would completely understand just left town to protect their families from the League of Assassins. But, even if Justin, John and Felicity don't completely understand, I know that they would for the most part. It's not far to keep them in the dark for as long as we have. Not about Sara."

Oliver nodded in agreement. "So you want to come clean. Rid your conscience of secrets."

"Someone once told me that the more secrets you keep, the harder it is to keep moving," Jill told him. "Feels like I've been stuck in place for a long time now. I want to keep moving."

Oliver nodded. "So do I."

They looked at each other, managing small smiles.
