From 2.01 "City of Heroes", in the conference room, Oliver stood in front of the board.
Oliver: (voice over) "My name is Oliver Queen."
From 2.01 "City of Heroes", in the cemetery, Jill was sitting at Tommy's grave in guilt.
Jill: (voice over) "I'm Jill Wright."
From 1.06 "Legacies", in flashback to the cave on Lian Yu, Oliver was aiding Jill after they saved her from the soldiers.
Oliver lifted the back of her shirt to reveal carved tally marks in her back that were bleeding and scarred. They were all over her back, the tally marks small to include all of the number of the days. There were a few in her shoulders, as the skin of her back couldn't hold it all.
Jill: (voice over) "After five years on a hellish island..."
From 1.23 "Sacrifice", in flashback to the soldier camp, Jill jumped down from the missile launcher, taking cover.
The missile hit the ground at the soldier camp, setting it ablaze.
Jill sat back tiredly on the ground, watching the flames.
From 1.06 "Legacies", in the hideout, Oliver and Jill were training at the hideout with two metal short staffs. Oliver and shirtless. Jill was in workout clothes, including a sports bra. Oliver swung both of his up over their heads, trying to come down on her. Jill raised both of hers in an X shape to block both of his.
Jill: (voice over) "We have come to Starling City with only one goal."
From 1.08 "Vendetta", in the hideout, Jill was getting suited up.
Oliver was watching from nearby, getting suited up.
John and Justin walked closer.
Jill: (voice over) "To save the city."
From 1.21 "The Undertaking", in the casino, Oliver/Arrow fired an arrow into a man's shoulder, making him fall.
Oliver: (voice over) "But to do so..."
From 1.16 "Dead to Rights", on the helipad, Oliver/Arrow and Guillermo Barrera were fighting. Oliver stabbed him with an arrow, killing him.
Oliver: (voice over) "I can't be the killer I once was."
From 1.19 "Unfinished Business", in the lab at the asylum, Oliver/Arrow stabbed the orderly in the chest with an arrow, killing him.
From 1.23 "Sacrifice", in Merlyn Global Group, Tommy and Oliver/Arrow helped Jill/Sapphire inside to get them to the ground outside.
The building was falling apart around them.
Tommy saw rubble falling toward them, pushing them out of the way.
The debris fell onto Tommy, making him fall, pinning him down.
Jill started to pull the debris away.
A pipe had been stabbed into Tommy's chest.
Oliver and Jill were horrified.
Oliver: (voice over) "To honor my friend's memory, I must be someone else."
From 2.01 "City of Heroes", in the cemetery, Oliver and Jill stood at Tommy's grave.
From 2.01 "City of Heroes", in the foundry, Oliver and Jill walked in to join John, Justin and Felicity.
Jill: (voice over) "I must be..."
Jill looked at the knife in her hand. She morphed into Sapphire.
Jill: (voice over) "Something else."
Oliver looked at the arrow in his hand. He morphed into Arrow.
➣ ➣
From 1.01 "Pilot", there was a raging storm over the ocean.
Amy: (voice over) "Previously on Sapphire Arrow."
From 2.01 "City of Heroes", on the road, in the limo, John was driving.
Justin was in the passenger seat.
Felicity was sitting on one side of the limo in the backseat.
Oliver and Jill were sitting on the other side.
They were watching everything outside.
Oliver noticed a sign saying 'Vote for Blood now'. "Who's Blood?"
"An alderman from the Glades trying to save the city," John answered.
From 2.02 "Identity", in Oliver's office, Oliver, Jill and Sebastian were talking.
Sebastian turned to face them. "I was surprised that you wanted to meet."
They each took a seat.
"We're not the enemy," Oliver told him.
"You're not friend," Sebastian replied.
"I am hoping to prove otherwise," Oliver told him.
From 2.03 "Broken Dolls", in the condemned warehouse, Jessica and Laurel were talking.
"You were right," Laurel told her. "I was blaming the vigilantes because I just needed someone to blame. And I didn't have anyone to blame, or to hate, because Merlyn was dead, and..."
"I know," Jessica told her. "It's tearing you up."
"Just like it tore you up," Laurel told her. "Now I know why you did the things that you did after Danny died. I never understood... but now I do. I'm sorry, Jessie. I'm so, so sorry."
Laurel and Jessica started to cry, embracing.
The Canary was watching from the balcony above.
From 2.03 "Broken Dolls", in the foundry, Oliver and Jill were suited up, but without her mask or his hood, talking to Justin, John and Felicity.
"Something's going on with these women," Justin told them.
From 2.01 "City of Heroes", in the Glades, "Ruby" stood on the bridge ledge, turning back.
Justin: (voice over from 2.03 Broken Dolls) "They keep following you around."
From 2.03 "Broken Dolls", in the alley, Jill/Sapphire and Oliver/Arrow were surrounded.
Ruby and Canary came to their rescue. The two women led Jill and Oliver out of the alley.
Justin: (voice over from 2.03 Broken Dolls) "Helping you out."
From 2.03 "Broken Dolls", in the foundry, Oliver and Jill were still suited up but without her mask or his hood, talking to John, Justin and Felicity.
"We need to find them," John told them.
"To stop them, or to send them a thank you note?" Felicity asked.
"That depends," Oliver told them.
"On what?" John asked.
"What side they're on," Jill answered.
They exchanged a look, sighing.
➣ ➣
Day One
Night - Queen Mansion - Living Room
There was a business party in progress.
Oliver walked toward Isabel. "Sorry I'm late."
"This party is to attract investors for your failing company," Isabel told him. "Being fashionably late might do well for the club circuit, but it does not inspire confidence in Wall Street."
Oliver nodded. "I'll keep that in mind."
Isabel walked away, leaving.
Sebastian and Jessica walked toward Oliver.
"Hey, Oliver," Jessica told him.
"Hi," Oliver told them.
"What's your interest in guns, Mr. Queen?" Sebastian asked.
"Never touched them myself," Oliver told them.
"The gun epidemic in the Glades has gotten increasingly out of control," Sebastian told them.
"Which is why the precinct's has committed to ending the gun violence," Jessica told them.
"Well, I'm sure the police are doing whatever they can to catch whoever's bringing the weapons into the city," Oliver told her. "Isn't that right, Jessica?" Sebastian chuckled. Jessica looked down. "Did I say something funny?"
"We know who's been arming the gangs, Oliver," Jessica told him. "The Mayor."
Oliver frowned in confusion. "I thought the Blue Hoods copycats killed the mayor."
"Well, not the actual mayor," Sebastian told him. "A local gang lord calls himself the Mayor. Thinks he's the man to save our city."
"But that position has already been filled, hasn't it?" Jessica asked.
Sebastian smiled, chuckling. "Now, this mayor has only one goal. To create chaos so he can rule the Glades with the barrel of a gun."
➣
Jill / Sapphire:
Warehouse District
Jill/Sapphire was out, taking care of street thugs. She was standing on a balcony, throwing knives into their hands to make them drop their guns, jumping from landing to landing to get closer to the ground. She jumped down behind Thug 1, kicking his legs out from underneath him, making him fall, turning to Thug 2, kicking him in the face, making him fall unconscious, turning to throw two knives into Thug 3 and 4's hands, making them drop their guns, catching one, using the butt of the gun to hit Thug 5 in the head, making him fall unconscious.
Jill used a knife rope to tie up a thug's ankles, kicking him down. "Where are you getting the guns?"
"Are you going to kill me?" the thug asked. "Get it over with."
Jill elbowed the thug in the face, knocking him out, speaking through comms. "Dig, took down more gangbangers. They were armed with fully automatic M4A1 assault rifles."
"M4A1 are military grade weapons," John told her. "Stolen, most likely."
"Stolen from where?" Jill asked.
"We can look into that after the party," John told her.
Jill sighed, nodding.
➣
Warehouse
(Song:) Control - Chemical Heroes
Xavier Reed, AKA, the Mayor was trying out a gun, cackling his laughter.
A thug walked in.
"You are noticeably unarmed, son," Xavier told him.
"Sorry, Mr. Mayor," the thug told him. "Um, we ran into Sapphire, and, um, she yanked our weapons."
"Do you know who I was before the quake?" Xavier asked. "I was no one. I had no name. None that mattered, anyway. I was just another weak man waiting to get fired or evicted or killed. But then the ground shook, and now I matter, because I know the guy with the biggest gun wins, and that's why I will rule the Glades. But there's no room at my table for weak ass punks like you."
Xavier aimed his gun at the thug.
(Song Ends)
"Oh, come on, man," the thug told him.
Thug 2 walked closer. "Mr. Mayor. I want to ask for leniency. The kid's my cousin. I brought him in."
"Oh, you did?" Xavier asked, shooting Thug 2 in the chest, killing him, making him fall, pushing the gun into Thug 1's hands. "Now let's hope you do your family prouder than he did."
➣
Queen Mansion - Living Room
Oliver was hosting his business party.
Felicity walked toward Oliver. "Excuse me, Oliver, may I talk to you for a second? It's urgent."
Oliver nodded. "Yeah."
Felicity pulled Oliver aside to talk to him alone. "I need to talk to you about our masked blonde friend that carries a giant staff and the lady in red with the Sai knives."
"Okay," Oliver told her.
"I just realized something," Felicity told him. "The blonde girl in the black..."
"What about her?" Oliver asked.
"What if we've been going about this the wrong way?" Felicity asked. "We thought that she was obsessed with you and Jill. I mean, she showed up in the alley when you and Jill were there, and in the chemical plant where the Doll Maker was holed up. But who else was at both those places?"
"Laurel," Oliver answered.
Felicity nodded. "And the blonde girl helped you save Jessica and Laurel. What if she's not following you?"
"Then what about the girl in red?" Oliver asked.
"She's not showing up wherever you go, Oliver," Felicity told him. "She's showing up everywhere Jill goes."
➣
Jill / Sapphire:
Amy / Ruby:
Warehouse District
Jill/Sapphire was about to leave. She felt as if she was being watched, looking around cautiously, walking along, walking around the corner of the building.
Amy/Ruby was running away.
Jill ran after her.
While running, Jill took out her crossbow claw, shooting it into the building wall ahead of Amy, letting herself swing down the alley toward Amy to grab her before she got to the fence, letting them both fall to the ground.
Amy stood to run.
Jill stood in her way, cornering her at the back of the alley. "Why are you following me?"
"I guess it wouldn't be obvious at this point," Amy told her. "You haven't seen my face. You haven't heard my voice..."
Jill recognized her voice, though she didn't believe it to be true. "Who are you?"
"Once you know, your life will never be the same," Amy told her.
Jill walked closer. "I could take it."
"Not this time," Amy told her. "Little Sapphire."
Jill was in shock, not quite believing.
Amy slowly, hesitantly reached up to take off the cloth around her face and then her mask, revealing her face.
Jill was in shock from seeing her sister alive, backing away, instinctively taking off her mask.
➣
Flashback - 1.01 "Pilot"
Six Years Ago
Night - Ocean - Boat
Jill was drunk, lying on the bed.
Amy sat at her bedside.
Jill was extremely tired and sad. "You always did call me Sapphire."
"And I always will," Amy told her.
Jill smiled a small smile.
The ship started to shake.
"What the hell?" Jill asked.
The ship tossed and turned, making the girls fall into the wall on the other side.
A wall of the ship was ripped off, water flooding in.
Amy was sliding down toward the gap, reaching toward her sister frantically. "Jill!"
Jill tried to grab her hand. "Amy!" The water made their hands slip and let go. Amy was drawn out of the ship, into the ocean. "Amy!"
➣
Now
Night - Warehouse District
Jill and Amy were still suited up without their masks on.
Jill was in shock, completely taken off guard. "Amy?"
"I'll give you some time to let it sink in," Amy told her. She put her mask on. "It'll make sense soon."
Amy ran off.
Jill was in too much shock to stop her, holding her mask to her chest.
➣ Sapphire Arrow ➣
Night - Verdant - Foundry
Jill was in the foundry of Verdant, still in her suit, holding her mask in her hands. She was still in shock.
Oliver was sitting in front of her. "Your sister's alive?"
Justin, John and Felicity were standing nearby.
"Isn't she--isn't she dead?" Felicity asked. "You told everyone she died when your ship went down, that she drowned."
Jill looked up. "I thought she did. I haven't..." She stood, turning away. "Oh, my God."
"Where has she been all these years, Jill?" John asked.
"I don't know," Jill told them. "I thought my entire family was dead. I thought I lost my sister on that boat."
Justin sighed. "Do you have any other stories about who or may not have been on the island or who may or may not have died on a boat?"
Jill turned to Oliver in confusion.
Oliver nodded. "I told them about Sara being on the island."
"All right, so just to make sure I understand this correctly, after not drowning when 'The Gambit' went down, Sara didn't exactly make it to the island with you, where you would see her die yet again," John told them. "Feel free to fill in the blanks."
"Not right now," Oliver told them.
"You mean not ever, don't you, Oliver?" John asked.
"Don't you think Sara's family had a right to know that she made it to the island, too?" Felicity asked.
"These were five years!" Oliver told them. "Five years... where nothing good happened. And they were better off not knowing."
"Do they deserve to know now?" John asked. "I'm willing to bet that if this woman in red that has been calling herself Ruby is Amy, Jill's sister, that the woman in black, the girl that has been following Jessica and Laurel, is Sara."
Jill sighed shakily, completely overwhelmed, pulling off her suit jacket, putting it in the case.
Oliver sighed. "Where are we with the Mayor?"
"I'm in contact with some of my military sources," Justin told them. "Trying to get a line on how he's getting his illegal army weaponry. I'll keep you updated."
Jill walked toward the door.
"Jill..." Oliver trailed off. Jill stopped. "Where are you going?"
"I can't be here right now," Jill told them. "I just... I need time."
Jill walked out, leaving.
Felicity stepped after her. "Jill..."
"Felicity..." Oliver trailed off. Felicity stopped. "Let her go."
➣
Flashback - Five Years Ago
Night - Freighter - Cages
Oliver was in his cage.
A man that was the captain of the freighter walked closer. "You kill two of my crew. We have a girl here on the ship."
"Jill?" Oliver asked. "You have Jill?"
The captain didn't answer. "How many others are with you on the island? What are your weapon capabilities?" Oliver didn't answer. "Did you find the graves?" Oliver looked down. "Two things will happen. You will tell me everything I want to know, then I will kill you. Or I will torture you until you tell me everything I want to know. And then I will kill you."
Oliver stood, walking up to the bars of the cage. "I want to see the girl."
"No," the captain told him.
"Then go to hell," Oliver told him.
"Can't," the captain told him. "We're already there."
The captain shot Oliver in the shoulder, making him scream and fall to the floor, walking away.
➣
Now
Night - Clock Tower
Amy was in the clock tower, still in her suit, holding her mask in her hands.
Canary walked closer. She pulled off her mask, revealing it really was Sara. She showed her a bag of takeout. "Sin got this from the Patty Shack on 5th and Brewer. Best burgers in town. The Patty Shack is in the Mayor's territory." She sat down with the food. "Told her not to get herself hurt. That even these things aren't worth a bullet." She pulled out a burger, holding it toward Amy. Amy didn't take it. "What's wrong?"
"Just ran into my sister," Amy answered. She slowly sat down. "She knows who I am."
"You told her?" Sara asked.
"She cornered me," Amy told her.
"You could've gotten away," Sara told her.
"She's my family, Sara," Amy told her. "And she's thought I was dead for six years."
"My dad, who's a detective, and my sisters, one of who used to be a detective and now is a regular cop, and the other, who's a lawyer, have thought I've been dead for five," Sara told her.
"Well, they must be real proud of their masked delinquent," Amy told her sarcastically. "I was never going to keep the truth from Jill for long, Sara. She got too close to finding out who I was the last time. She's not like your family. She knows the things that are out there. She's like us. So is Oliver. I may not be what she remembers, and that's why I didn't tell her the first time. I don't want her to see me for who I am now. But I can tell that she's been in more pain than a hundred people's worth. If I could just take some of that away..."
Sara nodded in understanding. "I get it. I do."
➣
Day Two
Morning - Riverside
John was sitting on a bench.
Lyla Michaels walked closer. "We've got to stop meeting like this. What would your girlfriend think, Johnny?"
John smiled, chuckling. "Lyla, I am checking the box marked 'single' these days."
Lyla sat next to him. "Sorry to hear it. What happened?"
"Well, another man came between us," John answered. "Deadshot. I couldn't love Carly and hate him at the same time."
Lyla sighed. "You're getting in the bad habit of letting him ruin your life."
"So I've been repeatedly told," John told her.
"You know the twins from the Triad?" Lyla asked. "Kira and Karma Mahageni?"
"Yeah," John answered. "They're the ones that told us about the Undertaking. Helped us save many lives."
"My end of our deal was to set up the meeting between them and your vigilante friends so that they could tell them," Lyla told him. "Their end of the deal is helping me catch Deadshot, alive."
John nodded. "Good to hear. Anything on those stolen army weapons?"
"A crate of 12 M4A1s went missing from Camp Kirby two months ago," Lyla told him.
"Yeah, I think I know where they went," John told her.
"Every crate was fitted with a GPS system so they could be remote tracked," Lyla explained, handing the remote to John. "I tried pulling it up, but it's not receiving. Must have been deactivated."
"Thanks, Lyla," John told her.
"And your interest in this is what?" Lyla asked.
John chuckled. "Lyla, you and I went to Afghanistan to try to bring law and order to a country overrun by war lords with weapons, right? Should we do any less for our own cities? Thanks again."
John stood, starting to walk away.
"Hey, Johnny," Lyla told him.
John turned back. "Yeah?"
"These days, I check the box marked 'single', too," Lyla told him.
John chuckled, walking away.
➣
Queen Consolidated - Conference Room
Isabel and Sebastian were talking.
Oliver walked in. "Mr. Blood. I see you've met Miss Rochev. She's my--"
"Superior," Isabel told him.
"Partner," Oliver told him.
"On paper," Isabel told him.
"Is that why you asked me to come down here, Mr. Queen, to meditate your job title?" Sebastian asked.
Oliver chuckled. "I was inspired by what you said the other night about gun violence in the Glades. And I had an idea that might help."
"Really?" Sebastian asked. "Another party at your stately manor?"
"No," Oliver answered. "I wanted to sponsor a cash for guns event. I give you the money and you get your constituents to lay down their arms. Everybody wins."
Sebastian nodded. "Especially you. Trying to repair your family's tainted name by ridding the Glades of guns."
"You just get the money, Mr. Blood," Oliver told him. "I don't want my family's name involved."
"Mr. Queen, may I have a word with you?" Isabel asked.
"Let me think it over," Sebastian told them, walking out, leaving.
Oliver turned to face Isabel.
"We are not sponsoring that event," Isabel told him.
"Yeah, I know," Oliver told her. "I am."
"With what money?" Isabel asked. "Your investment party cost QC 50 grand, and no one invested a dime. I will not continue to authorize corporate funds just so you can keep pretending that you are the CEO."
"Fine," Oliver told her. "I'll pay for it myself."
Isabel chuckled without humor. "Maybe you haven't noticed, but your personal trust isn't exactly what it used to be, and this company isn't, either. As much as I would love to make this city safer, my first obligation is to Queen Consolidated. And yours is, too."
Isabel walked away, leaving.
➣
Night - District Attorney's Office
(Song:) Youth - Daughter
Laurel was sitting at her desk, working late at night.
The song was playing on her phone.
Adam walked in.
Laurel turned the music off.
(Song Ends)
Adam walked closer. "I was going to order some takeout. You want in?"
Laurel looked up. "I appreciate the offer, Adam, but--"
"I've eaten takeout every night this week," Adam told her. "I need a meal served on an actual plate. So do you."
➣
Restaurant
(Song:) The War - Josh Record
Adam and Laurel were having dinner.
"I get it," Adam told her. "It's easy to let the job become your life." Laurel finished the wine in her glass. "I keep having to remind myself to go to the gym." A waitress set out another wine glass for Laurel. "See a movie, eat a good meal."
The waitress took their empty plates and glasses, walking away.
Laurel looked at Adam. "That sounds dangerously like having a life."
Laurel took a drink.
Adam chuckled. "What about you? You can't be all about work."
Laurel put her glass down. "I'm the best me when I am working."
"And when you're not?" Adam asked.
"You don't want to meet her," Laurel told him. "She's not good company."
Adam shrugged. "I'd be willing to risk it."
Laurel took a drink, stopping in surprise. "Excuse me." She wiped her lips with a napkin. "I just remembered, I have to go."
Laurel grabbed her jacket, standing.
Adam stood. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to--"
"No, it's okay," Laurel told him. "It's fine. I just have to go."
"Goodnight," Adam told her.
"Goodnight," Laurel told him, walking away, leaving.
Adam watched her go, sighing in frustration with himself.
➣
On the Road
Laurel was driving on the road.
A cop car pulled her over.
They stopped at the side of the road.
(Song Ends)
Officer Daily walked closer, shining a light on Laurel. "License and registration?"
"Is there a problem, officer?" Laurel asked.
"Have you had anything to drink tonight, ma'am?" Daily asked.
Laurel frowned a bit. "I'm Laurel Lance. I'm an assistant district attorney."
"I'm sorry, Miss Lance, but I'm going to have to ask you to step out of the car, please," Daily told her.
Laurel looked around.
➣
Verdant - Foundry
Jill walked in to join Oliver, Justin, Felicity and John. "I need some good news."
"The bad news first," Justin told them. "Somehow the Mayor did get his hands on a crate of military-grade weapons from Camp Kirby."
Jill turned to face them. "The good news?"
"If he kept the crate, might be able to find where he's hiding," Felicity answered. "This is the same make and model of a tracking system the army installs on all of its weapons crates. If they lose the crate, they send out a remote signal that activates the beacon."
"The Mayor's clever," John told them. "He deactivated his beacon. Send a signal, nothing comes back."
"You all need to work on your definition of good news," Jill told them.
"Okay," Oliver told her. "How's this? Guess which company designed the tracking system the army uses. I'll give you a hint. I'm the CEO. Always late."
Jill nodded. "Nice."
Felicity turned to the computer. "I pulled up the original plans from the QC mainframe. Turns out there's a design flaw. The beacon is still susceptible to a subform wave even if it's been deactivated."
"The Mayor turned it off," Justin told them. "We can turn it back on."
Felicity turned the crate back on. "I believe you ordered the crate of stolen military weapons, Mr. Queen and Miss Wright."
Oliver looked at Jill, managing a small smirk.
Jill was still overwhelmed with everything that was going on, though she was eager to do something that was normal to her to help her, walking toward the case where her suit was waiting.
➣
Jill / Sapphire:
Warehouse
Xavier noticed that the crate was flashing with red light. "I thought you deactivated the tracker."
Xavier used his gun to destroy the crate.
They heard an arrow being let loose from its bow and a man groan from the balcony, turning to aim their guns at the balcony.
Jill/Sapphire stood on the balcony above them, looking down at the men.
The men fired toward her.
Jill jumped from the balcony to the landing next to it closer to the floor, flipping off of the landing to land in a crouch in front of Man 1, kicking him in the face, making him fall.
Oliver/Arrow was on the balcony above.
Xavier and his minions were firing at him.
Oliver somersaulted over the balcony to make them miss, shooting an arrow into Man 2's shoulder, making him fall.
Jill slashed her sword into Man 3's hands to make him drop his gun, kicking him in the chest, making him fall to the ground, slashing her knives into Man 4's hands, spinning to kick him in the face with both feet, making him fall to the ground, punching Man 5 in the face, kicking Man 6 in the chest, making him fall.
The remaining men, along with Xavier, ran for the door.
Oliver jumped down from the balcony.
Jill was shot in the arm with the military grade weapons, making her fall.
The men ran out, leaving.
Jill sat up, holding her arm, looking at the blood staining her suit.
Oliver walked closer. "Weapons are secure."
"And the Mayor?" John asked.
"Still in office," Jill answered.
Oliver helped Jill stand.
➣ ➣
On the Road
Laurel and Daily were standing outside of her car.
Jessica got out of her car, walking closer. "Thanks for the heads up, Officer Daily."
Daily held up Laurel's car keys. "Just FYI, she blew .6 past the legal limit."
Jessica sighed. "Thank you."
Jessica took the keys from him.
Daily walked away toward his car.
Laurel looked at Jessica. "He didn't need to call you."
"No," Jessica agreed. "But you're lucky he did. You could have lost your job. You could have lost your life. And you could have killed somebody."
Laurel turned to face her. "I had a few too many glasses of wine at dinner. It was an accident."
"An accident?" Jessica repeated sarcastically. "Well, I guess those happen."
"Was I not supposed to notice the sarcasm?" Laurel asked.
Jessica sighed. "The two of us, we got a lot from Dad, Laurel. After Danny died, I started drinking."
"You never told me that," Laurel told her.
"Because I had it under control, because I'm a cop," Jessica told her.
"Well, you can hardly compare my one mistake and your grief-binge to Dad's drinking problem," Laurel told her.
"So long as it is only one mistake," Jessica told her.
"I don't know if you've noticed, but I've had a little bit of a hard time lately," Laurel told her. "I was kidnapped, nearly murdered by a psychopath, and my boyfriend died. So, I don't know, maybe... cut me some slack."
"You know, all of those things happened to me, too," Jessica told her. "And when I started having a hard time, I wish people had not cut me slack. Leave your car here. I'm driving you home."
"I'll take a cab," Laurel told her.
Jessica sighed. "Laurel..." Laurel grabbed her purse, walking away. "Laurel!"
Laurel walked away, leaving.
Jessica watched her go, sighing, walking toward her car.
Sara was watching from the nearby alley.
➣
Day Three
Morning - Verdant - Outside
Jill was parking her motorcycle outside Verdant, walking toward the side entrance that would get her into the basement without having to go upstairs. She heard someone approaching her from behind, turning around.
Amy walked closer.
Jill looked around, deciding to take the main entrance to the club instead, leading Amy inside.
➣
Inside
Amy and Jill walked inside.
Amy turned to face her.
Jill couldn't look away from her sister, not knowing how to react to seeing her alive and not in her Ruby suit. "Amy. I saw you die."
"Not the death that you thought it was," Amy told her. "You're right. Your sister did die that day. That was the day that another Amy was born. You know something about your old self dying and another taking over, right? And I thought you were dead, too. I ran into Sara a few years back. She told me that she saw you on the island. And I couldn't believe it. So I had to come back to make sure that it was you."
"Where have you been?" Jill asked.
"Everywhere," Amy answered.
Jill shook her head. "That's not an answer."
"Well, it's the one you're getting," Amy told her. "About a year ago, we started hearing tales of the Starling City vigilantes. A man in a green hood and a woman in blue. Sara knew it was you and Oliver."
"I had never known you as much of a fighter," Jill told her. "Where did you pick that up?"
"I met some rough people," Amy answered. "Thought I should get rougher, too."
Jill walked closer. "Amy... why didn't you tell me that you were back?"
"Because I'm not the Amy that you remember," Amy answered. "Sara told me about the earthquake. We wanted to come back. Sara wanted to make sure her family was safe. I wanted to make sure that you were alive."
Oliver was walking up from the foundry beneath the club from around the wall. He saw them talking, backing away so he didn't interrupt their moment.
"And you're still here, watching over me," Jill told her. "Like you used to."
"Well, you don't need much of protection these days," Amy told her. "I've seen you fight. And I'm surprised that you've come this far."
"Yeah, I could say the same thing about you," Jill replied. She was clearly overwhelmed with emotion but trying to be as unemotional as she could so it wouldn't be considered a weakness, stepping closer. "I just..."
Amy looked pained to see her like this, tears in her eyes, wrapping her arms around Jill. Jill was even more surprised, breathing deeply, returning the embrace, closing her eyes, shedding a few tears in relief, holding her sister close to her. Amy smiled a small smile, letting a tear fall herself.
Oliver was just around the corner of the wall, listening.

Flashback
Day - Freighter - Cages
Oliver was on the floor, holding his gunshot wound in pain, groaning.
The captain slid in a tub of medical scissors, antibacterial, anesthetic, thread and a needle.
Oliver breathed heavily, looking at the man in the cage next door, Anatoly Knyazev. "Why'd they do this?"
Anatoly spoke with a thick Russian accent. "They make all of us do this. Supposed to show prochnost. [Strength.]" He showed Oliver his bullet wound scar. "It's Russian. For strength."
Oliver looked around, seeing the other men show him their scars. "They--they did it to see if I'm strong?"
"They're doing this to see if you survive," Anatoly answered. "Living... is not for the weak."
Oliver looked down in pain, bringing the tub of medical supplies closer, using the medical scissors to pull the bullet out of his wound, screaming in pain.
➣ ➣
Oliver was lying on his cot.
The captain walked closer to the outside of the cage, looking at his closed wound. "Sewing is not your strong suit." Oliver showed him the bullet in his hand, letting it fall to the floor. "Now we can talk." Oliver struggled to sit up. "For two years, my crew and I have been looking for grave site. Did you find the graves? Were the bodies... odd? The bones misshapen?" Oliver didn't answer, looking down. The captain turned away, speaking into his radio. "This is the right island."
The captain walked away.

Now
Day - Park
Laurel was walking alone.
Jessica caught up to her. "So, I gave you the night to calm down and become sober."
"Yes, I know," Laurel told her. "Thank you."
"Is everything okay?" Jessica asked. "I'm worried about you."
Laurel stopped walking. "Perfect." She turned to face Jessica. "A recovering girl from the death of her boyfriend who acted out in grief by working with vigilantes and grief-drinking trying to tell me how to live my life. Don't you see the hypocrisy there?"
"What I see is somebody that I care about having a rough go of it," Jessica told her. "Do you know how many times I've had to pull Dad out of a bar? Or how many nights I've had to drive him home while he passed out in my backseat? I don't want that to be you."

Glades - Cash For Guns Event
Roy was standing at a table, handing over his guns.
A man went through the box. "Looks like we got a colt 1911, Jennings .32, and a K-frame revolver. Um..." He handed the money to Roy. "We'll give you $250 for the lot."
"Keep it," Roy told him.
Thea walked closer. "Do I even want to know where you got those guns?"
Roy smirked. "They're from the old days. I told you. Look, no more being a criminal. No more being a hero. Just Roy Harper. Bus boy and boyfriend."
Roy and Thea smiled, kissing.
Thea pulled Roy toward Skylar. "Right, because being a hero is Skylar's beat now."
Skylar smiled. "Hey, at least I have training and can take care of myself." She tilted her head at Roy. "Without getting bloody and bruises every time I get into a fight. Plus, I don't go looking for a fight."
Roy nodded. "Okay, okay, point taken. You're right. You don't go looking for fights. You just happen to be there a lot when one happens, and you jump in to defend everyone else."
Sin walked closer. "Yo, Abercrombie." Skylar and Thea turned to face her in confusion. "Where's your manners?"
"Sin, this is Thea and Skylar," Roy told her. "Thea, Skylar, this is Sin."
"Thea and Skylar Queen?" Sin asked. "Look at you, rolling with royalty. By the way, the salad fork's the small one."
Roy nodded sarcastically. "It was good to see you again."
Sin waked closer, whispering to Roy. "They don't know you're the vigilantes's delivery boy, do they?" She backed away, looking at Thea and Skylar. "Nice to meet you, your highnesses."
Skylar sighed, resisting the urge to roll her eyes. "You, too."
Sin walked away, leaving.
Thea looked at Roy. "So, how do you know her?"
"From around," Roy answered.
Skylar nodded, walking away.
➣
Elsewhere
Jill was standing alone in the distance.
Oliver walked closer to her. "You talk to Amy?"
"A little," Jill answered. "She wasn't very forthcoming with answers. It's a trait that we share, apparently."
"You asked questions, though," Oliver told her.
"Why does that surprise you?" Jill asked.
"Because I wouldn't have figured that you would have said anything that might already drive a wedge between the two of you," Oliver answered.
Jill shook her head. "She didn't like the questions, but it wasn't enough to push her away."
Oliver looked at her curiously. "How are you?"
Jill turned to Oliver. "Would you believe that I don't even know how I feel? It's just like a million different things I'm feeling are blurring into one."
Oliver nodded. "Yeah. I would believe that. But you and your sister do share a lot of traits from what I can tell." Jill looked at him curiously. "You don't make it very easy for someone to help you." Jill chuckled barely. "You've helped me with a lot of my problems. Why don't I help you with yours? It seems that your sister's gone through a crucible. Everyone has. Ours was the island and everything that followed. There are two types of people who go through a crucible. The ones who grow stronger from the experience and survive it, and the ones who die. But there's a third type. The ones who learn to love the fire. They choose to stay in their crucible because it's easier to embrace the pain when it's all you know anymore."
"So, which type are we, Oliver?" Jill asked. "Yes, we've become stronger from what we've gone through. And obviously so have Sara and Amy. But we've grown used to living like this. We've grown into vigilantes. Doesn't that make us type three?"
Oliver thought that she was right, considering this.
Cars pulled up to shoot up the event and the people attending.
Everyone started to duck or run.
Xavier stood on the back of the truck. "Listen up, people. This is your Mayor speaking. Now I don't recall this here event being sanctioned." Jill and Oliver stood, glaring. "What happens in the Glades only happens if I allow it."
"You're not the leader of this community!" Sin called. "You don't speak for these people!"
"And neither do you," Xavier told her. "Not anymore."
The men started to fire at Sin.
Skylar ran toward Sin, tackling her out of the way.
Roy and Thea ran toward them.
Many people were shot and injured in the shootout.
The truck drove away, leaving.
Oliver and Jill ran toward Skylar, Roy, Thea and Sin.
"Hey!" Jill told them. "Are you okay? Are you hit?"
"No," Thea answered.
"Sin's been hit bad," Skylar told them, applying pressure to Sin's gunshot wound in her stomach. She looked at Roy and Thea. "Go get help!"
Roy and Thea ran away to get help.
Skylar continued to apply pressure to Sin's gunshot wound.
Oliver and Jill looked at Sin worriedly.

Oliver and Jill were watching the news on the computers with Justin, Felicity and John.
Woman: (on news)"The shooting was committed by the gang leader known only as 'The Mayor', who, until now, has never been seen in public. We do want to warn our audience that some of these images are graphic."
"The coward finally decided to show his face," John told them.
"Vanity is going to cost him," Oliver told them.
"I 'borrowed' the FBI's facial recognition software," Felicity told them. "Got a match. Xavier Reed."
"Did Mr. Reed serve in the military?" Justin asked.
Felicity shook her head. "No military history."
"Family members?" Jill asked.
"Reed was in and out of foster care his whole life," Felicity told them. "Wait, hold on. In 1996, Reed spent three years with a foster family and their son, Ezra Barnes. He served three tours in Iraq. He's stateside now."
"20 bucks says he was stationed at Camp Kirby," John told them.
"Pay the man," Felicity told them. "The Mayor's foster brother is assigned to a weapons convoy that carries scar 16s by truck. The convoy's scheduled to come through Starling City tonight."
"FN scar 16s are military assault weapons with grenade launchers," Justin told them. "The man gets a hold of these, it's game over."
Oliver shook his head. "He won't."

Night - Glades Memorial Hospital - Sin's Room
Sin was in the hospital, asleep.
The doctor was talking to Skylar, Thea and Roy. "Bullet penetrated her anterior abdomen. We were able to remove most of the fragments. We'll know more in a few hours."
The doctor walked out, leaving.
Thea walked closer to Skylar.
"I'm going to stick around, in case she wakes up," Skylar told them.
"Is it okay if we stick around with you?" Roy asked.
Skylar nodded.
"You saved her life, Sky," Thea told her. "I guess you can't stop being a hero, can you?"
Thea rubbed Skylar's arm.

Outside
Amy/Ruby and Sara/Canary were watching Skylar, Thea and Roy from outside the hospital.
A crossbow claw was shot into the wall next to them.
Amy and Sara slid down the wire onto another roof where Oliver/Arrow and Jill/Sapphire were waiting.
"I want to see how you guys do in a real fight," Oliver told them.
"Good," Sara told them. "We were looking for a fight."

Warehouse District
The military convoy drove up to where Xavier was waiting with his crew in a warehouse district.
"They're with me," Xavier told them.
Ezra Barnes nodded in a military man dead in the back of the convoy. "He wasn't."
Xavier and Ezra laughed, hugging.
"You're done being all you can be," Xavier told him. They looked at the weapons. "You and I are going to own this town." He picked up the gun with the grenade launcher. "Now, let's see what this bad boy can do."
Amy/Ruby, Sara/Canary, Jill/Sapphire and Oliver/Arrow arrived.
Sara/Canary hit two military men with her staff, spinning to kick a third military man in the stomach, making them all fall.
A thug aimed his gun at them. "Drop your weapons, now!"
Ezra tried to punch Jill. Jill raised her arms to block the move, punching him in the face, spinning to kick him in the head, making him fall.
Amy spun to kick three men in the head, making them fall.
Oliver was standing in a structure from above, shooting arrows into the thug's shoulders, making them fall.
A thug tried to shoot Oliver.
Oliver jumped down, dodging to make him miss.
Amy jumped onto Military Man 1 from behind, spinning to slash Military Man 2 in the face with her Sai knives, making him fall, elbowing Military Man 1 in the face.
Thug 1 tried to shoot Jill. Jill ducked, slashing two of her knives into his hands, making him drop the gun, spinning to kick him in the face, making him fall.
Sara spun to hit Military Man 3 in the head with her staff, making him fall.
Oliver hit Thug 2 in the face with his bow three times, making him fall.
Jill looked behind Oliver. "Behind you."
Oliver turned around.
Xavier was holding the gun grenade launcher. "Old school weapons. Respect. But can they do this?"
Xavier shot a grenade toward them.
Oliver shot an arrow into the grenade, making it stop about halfway toward them.
The grenade exploded, throwing everyone to the ground.
Sara picked up her staff, standing, spinning to hit Thugs 3 and 4 in the face, making them fall.
Jill had dropped her sword.
Amy stood, spinning her Sai knives in her grasp, slashing Ezra in the face with the blades, making him fall.
Oliver picked up Jill's sword, standing, kicking Military Man 1 in the chest. Military Man 1 tried to hit her with the butt of his gun. Oliver raised the sword to block the move, hitting the hilt of the sword against his head, making him fall, spinning to kick him in the chest, making him fall.
A thug tried to shoot Oliver with a grenade.
Jill was holding Oliver's bow. She shot an arrow into his arm, making him fall.
Jill and Oliver walked closer to each other, smirking. Oliver handed Jill's sword back to Jill. Jill handed Oliver's bow back to Oliver.
Xavier was walking with the grenade launcher. "Come on. Where are you?"
Sara came up from behind Xavier, hitting him in the head with her staff, kicking him in the back, making him fall to his knees.
Amy came up from behind Xavier, putting her Sai knives to his throat. "You hurt a friend of mine."
"Let him go," Jill told her.
"You can't save a city with forgiveness," Sara told them.
"You don't have to forgive him," Oliver told them. "But you do have to let him live."
Amy let Xavier go.
Xavier groaned in pain. "Bitch. I knew you didn't have it in you."
Amy kicked Xavier in the head, making him fall unconscious. "I really don't like that word."
Oliver, Jill, Amy and Sara looked at each other.

Sebastian walked in. "I guess it's true what they say. One man can change the world."
"I'll leave changing the world to you, alderman," Oliver told him.
Sebastian shook his hand. "Thank you."
They looked at the TV, seeing Skylar running toward Sin and tackling her to the ground to save her.
"Your sister was very brave yesterday," Sebastian told him. "Saved that girl's life."
"She's getting in the habit of doing that," Oliver told him.
"She has strength," Sebastian told him. "A lot of strength that most grown men don't have."
Oliver nodded in agreement, turning the TV off. "I see the signs and the graffiti. 'Blood for Mayor'. Now that the 'Mayor' is in jail, maybe you should run."
"There is more than one way to save a city," Sebastian told him, patting Oliver on the shoulder, walking away.
Oliver nodded, looking down.

Sin sighed.

Skylar and Thea smiled.

Hallway
Amy was watching from the hallway, making sure that Sin was okay. She walked away down the hallway.
Jill waked toward her. "Your friend. Oliver took care of her medical expenses."
Amy nodded. "Thank him for me, will you?"
Jill nodded. "Where's Sara?"
"She's still presumed dead to the city of Starling," Amy told her. "She doesn't want anyone to know she's alive, so she couldn't make it out here. But luckily for me, no one knows my face."
Jill hesitated. "What happened to you, Amy?"
"You mean last night?" Amy asked. "When I almost killed that guy? It's a long story that I don't feel like getting into right now."
"All right," Jill told her. "Right now, you're whipping across the rooftops and keeping watch over me like some sort of ghost. And Sara's doing the same thing with her family."
"We're both ghosts," Amy told her. "I died after I was taken off that ship. Sara died on that island."
"But you didn't," Jill told her. "You both lived. And... I get that you have been in pain so long that it probably just feels normal now. But you can let it go and come home. I mean, I know that the earthquake brought you here, but I kept you here. Sara's family kept her here. You can stay here, Amy. Both of you can. Sara's family needs her. Just like I need you. Please, Amy. Stay."
Jill and Amy looked at each other sadly for a long moment. Jill offered her hand. Amy took it, wrapping her arms around her little sister. Jill returned the embrace in relief, holding her close. They pulled away after a moment, holding hands, walking down the hallway, each happy to have their sister back with them.
