From 2.01 "City of Heroes", in the conference room, Oliver stood in front of the board.

Oliver: (voice over) "My name is Oliver Queen."

From 2.01 "City of Heroes", in the cemetery, Jill was sitting at Tommy's grave in guilt.

Jill: (voice over) "I'm Jill Wright."

From 1.06 "Legacies", in flashback to the cave on Lian Yu, Oliver was aiding Jill after they saved her from the soldiers.

Oliver lifted the back of her shirt to reveal carved tally marks in her back that were bleeding and scarred. They were all over her back, the tally marks small to include all of the number of the days. There were a few in her shoulders, as the skin of her back couldn't hold it all.

Jill: (voice over) "After five years on a hellish island..."

From 1.23 "Sacrifice", in flashback to the soldier camp, Jill jumped down from the missile launcher, taking cover.

The missile hit the ground at the soldier camp, setting it ablaze.

Jill sat back tiredly on the ground, watching the flames.

From 1.06 "Legacies", in the hideout, Oliver and Jill were training at the hideout with two metal short staffs. Oliver and shirtless. Jill was in workout clothes, including a sports bra. Oliver swung both of his up over their heads, trying to come down on her. Jill raised both of hers in an X shape to block both of his.

Jill: (voice over) "We have come to Starling City with only one goal."

From 1.08 "Vendetta", in the hideout, Jill was getting suited up.

Oliver was watching from nearby, getting suited up.

John and Justin walked closer.

Jill: (voice over) "To save the city."

From 1.21 "The Undertaking", in the casino, Oliver/Arrow fired an arrow into a man's shoulder, making him fall.

Oliver: (voice over) "But to do so..."

From 1.16 "Dead to Rights", on the helipad, Oliver/Arrow and Guillermo Barrera were fighting. Oliver stabbed him with an arrow, killing him.

Oliver: (voice over) "I can't be the killer I once was."

From 1.19 "Unfinished Business", in the lab at the asylum, Oliver/Arrow stabbed the orderly in the chest with an arrow, killing him.

From 1.23 "Sacrifice", in Merlyn Global Group, Tommy and Oliver/Arrow helped Jill/Sapphire inside to get them to the ground outside.

The building was falling apart around them.

Tommy saw rubble falling toward them, pushing them out of the way.

The debris fell onto Tommy, making him fall, pinning him down.

Jill started to pull the debris away.

A pipe had been stabbed into Tommy's chest.

Oliver and Jill were horrified.

Oliver: (voice over) "To honor my friend's memory, I must be someone else."

From 2.01 "City of Heroes", in the cemetery, Oliver and Jill stood at Tommy's grave.

From 2.01 "City of Heroes", in the foundry, Oliver and Jill walked in to join John, Justin and Felicity.

Jill: (voice over) "I must be..."

Jill looked at the knife in her hand. She morphed into Sapphire.

Jill: (voice over) "Something else."

Oliver looked at the arrow in his hand. He morphed into Arrow.

➣ ➣

From 2.10 "Blast Radius", in the precinct, Laurel and Jessica were talking.

Laurel: (voice over) "Previously on Sapphire Arrow."

"Your Maya Resik," Jessica told her. "She's a patient at St. Walker's Hospital. It's a mental institution."

From 2.10 "Blast Radius", in Maya's room, Maya was sitting in the corner.

Laurel was sitting in front of her.

"Sebastian is the devil," Maya told her. "He killed his father."

Laurel looked at her in shock and realization. "Oh, my God. Sebastian isn't your nephew; he's your son."

"You can't trust Sebastian Blood," Maya told her.

From 2.10 "Blast Radius", in the precinct, Laurel and Jessica were talking.

"If you're still so convinced that he's guilty, I'll help you look into it more," Jessica told her.

From 2.08 "The Scientist", in flashback to the submarine, Oliver, Jill, Sara, Slade, and Shado were talking.

Jill showed the Mirakuru to Slade, kneeling in front of him. "Now this, it could save you... or it could kill you."

Jill injected the serum into Slade's leg.

From 2.10 "Blast Radius", in flashback on the island, Oliver, Jill and Sara were talking.

"Slade has the Mirakuru in his system now," Sara told them. "The ones who survived..."

Later, Slade gripped Jill by the throat, raising her off the ground.

Sara: (voice over from 2.10 Blast Radius) "They became someone else."

Slade let Jill go.

"It's the Mirakuru," Oliver told him. "It's messing with your head."

From 2.10 "Blast Radius", in flashback on the island, Sara and Jill were listening to Ivo over radio

Ivo: (on radio) "I know you and your new friends have the Mirakuru. In exchange, I'll promise you and your friends safe passage off this island."

Oliver walked closer. "Slade's gone, and he took the Mirakuru with him."

From 2.09 "Three Ghosts", in the warehouse, Skylar and Roy were tied to chairs.

Sebastian/Brother Blood walked toward them with the Mirakuru. He gripped Skylar by her throat, turning her head aside.

Slade: (voice over from 2.09 Three Ghosts) "And Skylar Queen?"

Sebastian injected Skylar with Mirakuru.

Sebastian: (voice over from 2.09 Three Ghosts) "I injected her with the Mirakuru, just like you asked me to."

Sebastian injected Roy with Mirakuru.

Sebastian: (voice over from 2.09 Three Ghosts) "Her and Roy Harper."

From 2.10 "Blast Radius", in Skylar's room, Skylar grabbed some of her clothes, ripping some of them in half in a burst of strength and a little bit of anger that was mostly controlled, overwhelmed, letting the shreds of clothing fall to the floor.

Skylar: (voice over from 2.10 Blast Radius) "Do you know why I left for five weeks? Because no one would leave me alone, like they were afraid to."

From 2.10 "Blast Radius", in Verdant, Skylar and Thea were talking.

Skylar was getting quickly agitated and overwhelmed. "So, please, just leave me be."

From 2.10 "Blast Radius", in the foundry, Oliver, Jill, Justin and Felicity were talking.

"If we push too hard, she's going to snap, and so is Roy," Oliver told them. "Roy, who has more anger issues than Skylar has ever had."

"Yeah, but Skylar has the training of a man that was in the military," Jill told them. "So, now that she's a super soldier, she's more than a deadly weapon."

"All we know is that it will change them, and that it already is," Oliver told them. "What we don't know is how much."

➣➣

Day One

Night - St. Walker's Hospital - Outside

Outside the mental institution, it was pouring rain.

Sebastian, carrying an umbrella, walked up to the doors of the hospital.

Inside - Hallway

Sebastian walked down the hallway toward a nurse.

"Welcome to St. Walker's, alderman," the nurse told him. "Or should I call you mayor?"

"Thank you for letting me come by so late," Sebastian told her.

"Well, I can imagine how busy your schedule is," the nurse told him. "It's really great of you, taking the time to come and visit your aunt." They stopped at Maya's room. "Her health has taken a bad turn."

"Of course," Sebastian told her. "She's family."

Maya's Room

Maya was sitting on her bed, holding a rosary cross necklace in her hands.

The nurse led Sebastian inside. "Maya, look who came to see you. It's your nephew, Sebastian."

"Don't go," Maya told her. "Please."

"We'll be fine," Sebastian told her. "Thank you." The nurse walked out, leaving, closing the door behind her. Sebastian walked toward Maya. "Still worshiping the old gods, I see."

"They're the last thing I have from your father," Maya told him. "They protect me."

"You were supposed to protect you," Sebastian told her. "A friend of mine, Laurel Lance, came by to visit you a couple days ago." He sat on the bed behind Maya. "Do you remember her?"

Maya nodded. "She's muy linda [very cute.]"

"Yes, she is," Sebastian agreed. "What did you both talk about?"

Maya shook her head. "Nada. Nothing."

"You know I don't like it when you lie to me," Sebastian told her.

"I told her the truth," Maya told him. "That you--you kill him. Your father. Mi esposo [My husband.]" Sebastian looked away, sighing. "I don't know what came over me. I am so, so sorry. I hurt you, mijo [son.]"

Sebastian gazed off. "Esta bien. [It's okay.] No te preocupes [Do not worry.]"

"But you are my child, my son," Maya told him. "And I hurt you."

"I forgive you, mama," Sebastian told her. He stood, kissing Maya on the head. "I forgive you for everything."

Maya was crying.

Sebastian walked out, leaving.

Later

Maya was laying in bed, praying in Spanish. "La luz de dios me rodea. [The light of God surrounds me.] El amor de dios me envuelve. [God's love envelops me.] El poder de dios me protege. [The power of God protects me.] La presencia de dios vela por mi. [The presence of God watches over me.]"

Sebastian/Brother Blood appeared over her. "Los dioses estan muertos. [The gods are dead.]"

Hallway

Maya's screaming could be heard from down the hallway, but no one suspected anything wrong with a patient screaming in a mental institution.

➣ Sapphire Arrow ➣

Jill / Sapphire:

Warehouse District

Jill/Sapphire was interrogating a man.

The man was cowering nearby the wall. "Oh, please! I don't know anything."

Jill drew her knives. "The man in the skull mask. Where is he?"

"I don't know what you're talking about," the man told her.

"He's been experimenting on people in the Glades," Jill told him. "He's leaving a trail of corpses with blood running from their eyes."

The man shook his head. "No, no, no, no, no. I deal in stolen merchandise. That is it." Jill threw a knife into his shirt, pinning it to the wall. "Ah, ooh, please!"

Jill heard Felicity through comms. "Ask him what color his shoes are."

"What?" Jill asked.

Felicity was sitting at the computers in the foundry. "You want this guy to take a polygraph via Bluetooth, cool, but I need to hear him establish a base line. I need to hear him tell the truth just once."

Jill sighed, looking at the man. "What color are your shoes?"

"What?" the man asked. He looked down. "They're blue."

Felicity sighed. "He's not lying."

The man looked up. "Please..."

The man trailed off when he realized that Jill was no longer there.

Rooftop

Oliver/Arrow was standing on a building rooftop, overlooking the city.

Jill/Sapphire approached him.

"Dead end my way, too," Oliver told her. "He's out there. Somewhere."

"Let's go home," Jill told him. "We can't do any more tonight."

Flashback

Day - Fuselage

Oliver, Jill and Sara walked into the fuselage.

"Slade?" Oliver called. "Slade!" He looked around the empty fuselage. "Thought maybe he'd come back here."

"He has the Mirakuru serum in his bloodstream," Sara told them. "He's not thinking clearly. So, what do we do now?"

Jill noticed that the skeleton they had taken from the cave was on the ground.

"I don't know, Sara," Oliver told her.

Jill noticed the sensor grid on the table, walking closer, picking it up. "The sensor grid is still active. So at least we're going to know if Ivo and his men come back to the island."

"So we just sit here and wait?" Sara asked.

"Well, do you have any other ideas?" Jill asked. "'Cause right now, I'm open to suggestions."

Oliver tried to stop their arguing before it came to a fight. "Hey. We'll find Slade."

"Then what?" Jill asked.

"Maybe we consider Ivo's offer," Sara told them.

"What?" Oliver asked.

"Look, if we get the serum back from Slade, then we can go home," Sara told them. "And I can try to talk to Ivo. I can get him to listen to me."

"Like he listened before he shot Shado in the head?" Oliver asked.

"He's just tired, and he's frustrated," Sara told them. Jill scoffed, turning away. "You don't understand what finding the Mirakuru serum has meant to him."

Jill turned to face her angrily. "You're right, Sara, I don't understand. And I don't get how you can even consider trusting him after what he did."

"He's not evil," Sara told them. "He kept me safe on that ship for over a year. And I mean, not just safe. He taught me things. And I learned a lot."

"I learned a lot, too," Jill told them coldly. "This island taught me that you can't trust anyone."

Jill walked away.

Now

Day Two

Morning - District Attorney's Office

Laurel arrived at work, drinking coffee, sitting at her desk. She reached into her purse to take out the bottle of pain medications that were prescribed to Jessica.

A woman walked toward her. "Ms. Lance?" Laurel put the bottle down, turning toward her. "I have a call for you on line two."

"Thank you, Katherine," Laurel told her. Katherine walked away. Laurel sneakily took a couple of pills, answering the phone. "Laurel Lance."

A woman's voice was on the other line. "This is Nurse Downey from St. Walker's. You asked me to call if there was any changes in Maya Resik's condition. I'm sad to report she passed away."

"What?" Laurel asked in shock.

"Her heart gave out on her, pour soul," Downey told her.

Laurel was confused and suspicious.

Adam's Office

Adam and Laurel were talking.

"You think Sebastian Blood, the saint of Starling City, killed his own mother?" Adam asked skeptically.

"He was the last person to see her alive," Laurel told him. "That isn't a coincidence."

"He's a devoted nephew visiting a sick relative," Adam told her. "You're right. That's very, very suspicious."

"He didn't go there to visit her," Laurel told him. "He went there to kill her; to cover up the fact that as a child, he killed his father. Maya Resik told me what happened."

"From inside a padded room, right?" Adam asked, walking past her.

"Which he had her forcibly committed," Laurel told him, turning to face him. "She tells me the truth, and then two days later, she has a 'heart attack'. You don't find that strange?"

"Well, for one thing, there's no record that Maya Resik was even Blood's mother, and according to the hospital, she was in the late stages of heart disease," Adam told him, getting himself some coffee.

Laurel walked closer. "I need you to call in a favor with Judge Carlin. Get a search warrant for Sebastian's campaign headquarters, his phone records. I--I have to start somewhere."

"Laurel, this isn't some casual request," Adam told her. "I'm the ADA who took Vertigo on live TV. I take a shot at Sebastian Blood and miss, my career s done."

Adam turned to walk away.

Laurel followed him. "Adam." Adam turned to face her. "Please."

"I'm sorry, Laurel," Adam told her. "You're on your own."

Adam walked away.

Laurel sighed.

Verdant

(Song:) If I Lose Myself - OneRepublic

Skylar was upstairs at the bar, getting ready for that night's opening, getting herself a drink.

Justin walked closer. "You're too young to drink."

"Not too young to co-own a bar with my sister, so I'm gonna have a drink," Skylar told him, taking a drink.

"At least pour me one, to apologize for avoiding me for five weeks," Justin told her.

Skylar sighed. "I'm sorry. I've been avoiding everyone. Don't take it personal."

"Well, are you okay?" Justin asked.

Skylar poured him a drink. "I'm really tired of hearing that question."

"Thea told me about how you saved her and your mother," Justin told her. "She said that you were very brave."

"I did what anyone would have done," Skylar told him.

"Not anyone," Justin told her. "It takes a lot to run towards danger, not away from it. But I'm glad you're taking what I taught you and putting it to good use."

"Well, I had a good teacher," Skylar told him.

"Thea also said you've been acting weird lately," Justin told her. "Angry. How are you feeling?"

"I'm fine," Skylar told him. "I'm just weirded out by the fact that Thea has never spoken two words to you before she went to you to tell you about me."

"She just wants to make sure that you're okay, and so do I," Justin told her.

"Like I said, I'm okay," Skylar told him. "Look, I gotta get back to work."

Skylar walked away.

Justin watched her go, sighing.

(Song Ends)

Foundry

Oliver, Jill, Justin, John and Felicity were watching security footage of Skylar from upstairs.

"Has Skylar mentioned anything about the man in the skull mask who injected her and Roy?" Jill asked.

Justin sighed. "Skylar is not comfortable discussing her feelings right now."

"Not like you, Oliver and me," John told him sarcastically.

"Don't yell at me, but I really think we need a new plan on how to find this creep mask guy," Felicity told them. "Scaring the crap out of lowlifes isn't yielding results."

"Felicity, I am open to any and all suggestions," Oliver told her.

"Maybe we're overthinking this," John told them. "What if the mask simply got wind that you were after him and decided to skip town?"

"He didn't go to all the trouble of recreating the serum and testing it on people just to walk away," Oliver told them. "He is still out there, and we need to locate him."

The phone that linked to the phone Jill had given Jessica started to ring.

Justin picked it up. "Jessica, for Sapphire."

Jill took the phone, answering it, the app already disguising her voice for her. "Yes, detective?"

Jessica was in the SCPD precinct. "Can we meet?"

"What is it?" Jill asked.

Jessica looked at Laurel. "Someone wants to talk to you and the Arrow."

Night - Building Rooftop

It was night out on the town, on a building rooftop.

Jessica and Laurel were waiting.

Jessica, for the first time in a while, was not in her uniform.

Laurel had a file in her hands.

Oliver/Arrow and Jill/Sapphire approached them from behind. Both of their voices were disguised.

"Hello, Jessica," Oliver told her. "Hello, Laurel."

Jessica turned to face them. "You're late."

"We had to circle around to make sure there wasn't a SWAT team waiting for either of us, again," Jill told them.

"That's fair," Laurel told them. "Trust me, I wouldn't have asked Jessica to put me in touch with you if I had any other choice."

"What do you need?" Oliver asked.

Jessica walked closer. "Sebastian Blood. He's about to be the new mayor of Starling City."

"We know who he is," Jill told them.

"No, you don't," Laurel told them. "No one does. A few weeks ago, I was approached by Skylar and Thea Queen." She handed the file to Oliver, walking past them. "They asked me to investigate the death of Max Stanton."

"You think Blood was involved in Stanton's death?" Oliver asked.

"Blood, a man that worked for him named Cyrus Gold and Marcus Black," Jessica answered. "They killed four cops, including our father's partner, Lucas Hilton, and nearly killed my father and me. Blood, Black and Gold knew each other from the orphanage that Blood was raised at."

"He would do anything to keep the truth about his past hidden," Laurel told them. "Including killing his own mother."

"Why would he do that?" Jill asked.

"To cover up the fact that he killed his father," Laurel answered. "I tried going to the DA. No one will believe me. I swear to you, Sebastian Blood is dangerous. And you're the only people in this city who can stop him."

Jill and Oliver looked at Jessica.

Jessica looked as if she didn't know what to believe, but that she was willing to give Laurel the benefit of the doubt, nodding.

➣➣

Day Three

Morning - Queen Consolidated - Conference Room

Oliver, Jill, Justin, Felicity and John were meeting, sitting at the table.

"Laurel was right," Felicity told them. "I hacked Blood's cellphone records. The alderman, Black and Gold have stayed buddies since Zandia orphanage."

John stood. "So what? They kept in touch. Doesn't exactly mean that Sebastian Blood is the man in the skull mask."

"His last name is Blood," Justin told them. "That can't be a good sign."

"Justin, he's dedicated his life, risked his life to help the people of the Glades," John told him. "And in his spare time, he's a murderer, trying to create an army of human weapons?"

"We're both personal bodyguards who fight crime at night with our billionaire boss and his personal assistant," Justin told him. "Not a lot of people show their real face in public.

"Oliver, what are you thinking?" Jill asked.

"Laurel and Jessica gave us a case number to start with," Oliver told them. He stood. "We need to know if Sebastian really killed his father, then we figure out if there's a chance he has the Mirakuru formula."

Felicity took the file from Oliver. "I'm on it."

Felicity walked away.

"And what if this is just another trap, set by Laurel?" John asked. "She could be setting both of you up, and this time, you won't have Sara and Amy to save you."

"Jessica wouldn't go along with this if she thought that Laurel was setting a trap for them," Felicity told them.

"True, but it's not the first time someone in Jessica's family used her to get to the vigilantes," John told them. "Remember when Lance manipulated her to get to the two of you last year? If Laurel is setting a trap, it might not be to Jessica's knowledge."

Jill stood, walking away.

Train Tracks

Skylar walked toward Roy. "Asking a cute girl to meet you down by the tracks, Harper? Good thing Thea is my sister, and I wouldn't do anything to hurt her."

"I saw you at the City Plaza," Roy told her. "There's no way that you could have lifted that electrical tower on your own, yet you did."

Skylar scoffed. "Can we all just forget about that? There's nothing to what happened that night. Nothing's happening to me." Roy used all of his strength to punch through the concrete steps next to them, making them shatter. Skylar was in shock, stepping closer, looking at his hand. "You're not even bleeding."

"Something is happening to you, Skylar," Roy told her. "I think the same thing is happening to me." They started to walk down the side of the tracks. "That night around Christmas when we got jumped and taken to the warehouse, we were injected with that drug. I think that's what's happening to us. It made us--it made us stronger. And I'm healing faster, like the arrow wound in my leg, or when I got caught in falling glass. I don't even have scars."

Skylar stopped walking, sighing, overwhelmed. "Oh, my God." Roy turned to face her in confusion. "I thought I was going crazy."

"You're not going crazy," Roy told her. "Listen, did you tell Thea about any of this?"

"No," Skylar answered. "I didn't tell her anything. I didn't want her to know, because she was already smothering me, and I just wanted to be left alone. And I want to be left alone, because I get these bursts of anger, and--"

"And you feel like you can punch anyone who even looks at you the wrong way and rip their heads off," Roy finished.

Skylar nodded. "Yeah. I was avoiding everyone for weeks because I didn't want to hurt anyone. But you were here, around people all the time. How do you control it?"

"Because I've been dealing with anger issues all of my life, and I know how to control it," Roy answered. "But this anger, it's something different. I haven't felt anything like it before, and I've been having trouble controlling it."

"So, what are we gonna do?" Skylar asked.

"Well, the Arrow once told me all I was good for was taking a beating," Roy told her. "Maybe it's time we started handing out a few of our own. Now, we don't need Arrow or Sapphire's help to protect this city. All you've wanted to do is help everyone. Now, you can do that better than ever. Let's find us a bad guy."

Skylar looked as if she knew that this wasn't a good idea, but also needed to let loose some of the anger and frustration before she exploded.

Night - Queen Consolidated - Oliver's Office

Jill walked in, standing next to Felicity.

"I have good news and bad news," Felicity told her. "I suggest the good news first. It tends to soften the blow of the bad news. Okay, dealer's choice. Good news is we found the case file on Sebastian's dad's murder."

They walked toward Oliver's desk, where Justin, Oliver and John were waiting.

"Anything in it to suggest he killed him?" Jill asked.

"Jill, meet bad news," Justin told her.

"That file was sealed years ago," John told her.

Felicity sat at the computer. "And since the file is over 27 years old, there is no digital copy for me to hack. The only hard copy is stored the old-fashioned way in the city archives."

"So we go in and take it, the old-fashioned way," Oliver told her.

Felicity stood. "Except security in the file room is so old school, you need a key card to get in, which, even if you had, you wouldn't know where to start looking for the file."

Oliver stood. "An assistant DA would."

Laurel's Apartment - Living Room

Laurel was standing alone, looking into the mirror. She poured some of Jessica's pain meds into her hand, taking them. She heard the window open and wind blowing inside, turning around.

Oliver/Arrow was standing there, disguising his voice. "You said you needed our help. Now we need yours."

"What do you need?" Laurel asked.

"You," Oliver answered.

Laurel grabbed her jacket, walking toward the door.

Oliver followed.

They walked past a picture of Sara, Laurel and Jessica, all of whom were smiling.

Flashback

Night - Lian Yu - Fuselage

Oliver, Jill and Sara were getting ready for sleep.

Jill was already asleep.

"You know what I really miss about being home?" Sara asked. "My bed."

Oliver chuckled. "I don't know if I even remember what a bed feels like anymore."

"And you probably never will," Sara told him. "And neither will I."

"Sara, you don't have to do that," Oliver told her. "We're going to find a way off the island. Okay? You just--you just have to trust me."

"Last time I trusted you was right before the 'Gambit' went down," Sara told him.

"I haven't gotten a chance to say this," Oliver told her. "I'm sorry. I know this is my fault. And one of this would have happened if I hadn't invited you on the boat with me."

"That's not exactly true," Sara told him. "I mean... I was the one who said yes. And it was only half because of your charm."

"And the other half?" Oliver asked.

"Do you remember when you spilled that beer on me at Tommy's party?" Sara asked.

"No," Oliver answered. "But I never left one of Tommy's parties with my memory intact."

"Well, I wasn't even supposed to go," Sara told him. "But I snuck out of the house because I knew you were going to be there. And I had this..." She chuckled. "I had this embarrassing crush on you. And Laurel and Jessica, they knew it. And that's why the party got broken up by the cops. Laurel tipped off our dad. Then I was grounded for a month, and the next thing I knew... you and Laurel were together. Jessie kept telling me that Laurel didn't do all that on purpose. But I knew better. Not everybody's what they seem. Well, Jill's passed out. We should get some sleep, too."

Sara laid down.

Oliver looked at the burning fire.

Later

The fire was out. Everything was dark. Oliver and Jill were sleeping.

Sara stood, walking toward Jill, grabbing the radio from the ground next to her, trying not to wake her, turning around, walking toward the door of the fuselage. She stopped, looking at Oliver and Jill to make sure they were still asleep, walking out, leaving.

Jill / Sapphire:

Now

Night - City Hall - Rooftop

Oliver/Arrow, Jill/Sapphire and Laurel were breaking into the Starling City city hall.

Oliver/Arrow and Jill/Sapphire's voices were disguised.

"You ready for this?" Jill asked.

"Whatever it takes," Laurel answered.

Oliver opened the roof hatch. "We're going in."

"At least the security cameras are from this century," Felicity told them, shutting them down from the foundry. "And now they're toast. You have exactly seven minutes until the system reboots."

Lobby

Two desk guards were sitting at the security station.

Guard 1 noticed the cameras were down, looking at Guard 2. "Hey, check it out."

File Room

Laurel used her key card to get into the file room, leading Oliver and Jill inside. She looked at the many, several files in the room on the shelves. "This could take a while."

"You have six minutes," Jill told her.

Laurel started to look for the file.

Lobby

The desk guards were trying to figure out what happened.

Guard 1 was resetting the system. "I'm rebooting the monitors. There's a Trojan plugging our system."

"It's probably some punk," Guard 2 told him.

They started resetting the system.

File Room

Laurel was looking frantically and quickly for the file.

Jill and Oliver were able to carry on a conversation with Felicity from the foundry.

"Uh-oh," Felicity told them. "Guys?"

"What's wrong?" Oliver asked.

"It looks we've got the one rent-a-cop with a brain here," Felicity told them. "If there's a camera nearby, I recommend hiding."

Oliver and Jill took cover behind the shelves to avoid the cameras.

Lobby

The desk guards were resetting the system.

Guard 2 pointed at the monitors. "Look there."

Guard 1 picked up the phone to make a call. "You got to send some officers here."

File Room

Oliver and Jill were able to talk to Felicity who was at the computers in the lair.

"Starling's finest will be there any minute," Felicity told them. "You need to get out of there now."

Oliver walked toward Laurel. "We're not leaving without the file." Laurel was going through a box. "Laurel..."

"I can't find it," Laurel told them, climbing up a ladder to look into another box.

Jill walked closer, sighing.

Lobby

Many officers walked in to join the two guards.

"Up there, third floor," Guard 2 told them.

The officers ran upstairs.

File Room

Laurel was still looking through the box.

Oliver and Jill were watching.

"Hurry, guys," Felicity told them.

Jill looked toward the double doors.

Laurel picked up a file, comparing the number to the one she was holding. "Wait. Case number SC43878. This is it."

Officers burst inside. "Vigilantes, we know you're here! Close everything off, now!"

Jill looked over her shoulder toward Oliver. "Get her out of here. Go!"

Oliver ran toward Laurel, leading her away.

"They're blocking our only way out," Laurel told him.

"It's not our only way," Oliver told her.

Jill turned toward the officers, drawing her swords, spinning them in her grasp.

Officers ran toward Jill. "Drop your weapons!"

The officers started to shoot.

Jill used her swords in a blur of motion to deflect all of the bullets, throwing knives into their hands to make them drop the guns. The officers ran closer. Jill used the hilt of her sword to hit Officer 1 in the back of the legs with the unbladed edge of her sword, making him fall to the ground. She drew a knife, spinning to throw the knife into Officer 2's sleeve, pinning him to the wall. She spun to kick Officer 3 in the back, making him fall. Officer 4 tried to punch Jill. Jill ducked, kicking him in the leg. Officer 4 tried to punch her. Jill ducked, spinning to backhand punch him in the face hard enough to make him fall unconscious. She ran along.

Officer 5 ran after her, firing his gun.

Jill ran faster than the bullets, ducking behind the shelves for cover.

Oliver and Laurel made it to the wall of windows.

Oliver shot an arrow into the glass, shattering it. He pulled Laurel out of it.

Jill ran closer, jumping toward the window.

Outside - Alley

Jill jumped out of the window, landing on the ground outside in a crouch.

They reached an alley where they were safe.

Laurel opened the file to reveal that it was completely empty. She was completely in shock, disconcerted.

Verdant - Foundry

Oliver and Jill returned to the foundry, joining up with Justin, John and Felicity, still suited up, but identities shown.

Felicity was sitting at the computers. "We tried going through all the security footage at the city archives to see if anyone swiped the file over the last few days."

"Did you see anyone?" Oliver asked.

"Just this," Felicity answered, showing them that the security footage had been staticked over. "It's all been erased."

"So what happened when you reversed the footprint to see who hacked in before you?" Jill asked.

"I struck out again," Felicity answered. "It must have been an inside job."

"Meaning?" Oliver asked.

"As a city alderman, Blood would have had access to the files," Felicity told them.

"Anyone on city payroll could have done this," John told them.

"He's running for mayor," Justin told them. "One hint that he killed his father, and his political future is dead in the water."

"Oliver, you two are supposed to be friends," John told him. "Don't you think you ought to give him the benefit of the doubt?"

Oliver sighed. "Please keep digging into Blood's past and see if there's anything that could help us."

Oliver walked away.

"Where you going?" Jill asked.

"To give a friend the benefit of the doubt," Oliver answered, walking up the stairs.

Jill watched him go.

Upstairs

Roy walked downstairs to join Thea and Skylar.

Skylar was trying to ignore Thea.

"What, are you still giving me the cold shoulder?" Thea asked.

Skylar sighed. "Are you still trying to push me into telling you what's going on?"

"Whatever," Thea told them, walking away.

Roy walked toward Skylar. "We need to tell her."

"No," Skylar told him. "I want her as far away from this as possible, because if she knows something is going on, then she's gonna keep pushing and pushing, and I might hurt her. Now, what do you got for me?"

"This guy in the Glades, the Starling Slasher," Roy told her. "Word on the street is, he's got a thing for prostitutes. And by thing I mean he has a thing for slicing them up. Mostly hunts in Crescent Circle."

Skylar nodded sarcastically. "Sounds like a great guy."

"Hmm, yeah," Roy told her. "Problem is, he's some big shot lawyer, so no one has the sack to ID him."

"Wait, this sounds exactly like someone Sapphire and Arrow would go after," Skylar told him.

"But we don't need the vigilantes anymore," Roy told her. "We're going to have to bait him."

"What pro is going to let us dangle her in front of a psycho?" Skylar asked. Roy looked at her in realization. Skylar knew what he was implying, sighing. "You've gotta be kidding me."

Political Office

Oliver walked in, looking around at the people campaigning for Sebastian.

Sebastian walked toward him. "You looking for me?"

Oliver turned to face him. "Sebastian. Good to see you."

They shook hands.

"You, too, man," Sebastian told him. "Listen, I'm so sorry, but I'm right in the middle of a polling snafu."

"I'll be quick," Oliver told him. "I just had a question about Laurel."

"Of course," Sebastian told him. "Is everything okay?"

"Not sure," Oliver told him. "I ran into her the other day, and something just seemed off."

Office

Sebastian and Oliver walked in.

"I know the two of you have been spending a lot of time together, and I just wanted to know if you knew anything," Oliver told him.

"Well, we've traded phone calls, but she's in trial, and I've been campaigning," Sebastian told him. "We haven't really been able to connect."

"Nothing happened between the two of you?" Oliver asked. "Not an argument or a fight or something?"

"If I didn't know any better, I'd say you were coming to me like a jealous ex-boyfriend," Sebastian told him.

Oliver shook his head. "No. Just... No, I'm just looking out for a friend. And I hope you do the same."

"Of course," Sebastian told him. "Listen, I will take care of Laurel. Thank you for letting me know."

Street

Skylar was undercover at a street corner, dressed like a prostitute, shaking her head in agitation that she let Roy talk her into this.

A car pulled up to her. The man inside looked at Skylar. "You're new. Skylar Queen, right? What are you doing out here?"

Skylar shrugged. "Got to get out and have an adventure sometimes, right?"

"Get in," the man told her.

Skylar got into the car.

The man drove them away.

Parking Garage - Car

The man pulled the car to a stop.

Skylar looked utterly bored in the passenger seat. "Romantic."

"You're pretty," the man told her.

"You're disgusting," Skylar told him.

The man pulled out a knife. "I see you like to play rough."

The man stabbed Skylar in the shoulder, but it didn't hurt her in the least. He took out the knife to see that it was bent, in complete shock and confusion.

Skylar twisted his arm to make him drop the knife, breaking the bones in his arm. "You're right."

Skylar punched the man in the chest with enough strength to throw him out of the car and tear the car door off with him.

Outside

The car door and the man fell to the ground.

Skylar got out of the car, walking toward the man.

The man scrambled to his feet. "Wait. I've got money."

"Keep it," Skylar told him, kicking the man in the stomach, making him hit the windshield of his car and make it shatter. The man rolled over the top of the car from the force of the kick, hitting a pole on the other side, breaking a pipe that sprayed water over him, falling to the ground. Roy walked toward the man, kicking him in the side repeatedly, viciously, losing himself to the anger. Skylar saw that the man was really hurt, seeming to come back to a piece of her old self, running closer. "Roy. Roy, stop it. You're killing him."

Roy turned to push Skylar down. Skylar sat up in annoyance, kicking Roy's feet out from underneath him, making him fall to the ground, stopping him and jolting him back to himself.

Roy was stunned. "Oh, my God." Skylar stood. "Skylar, I'm sorry."

Skylar walked toward the man, seeing that he was unconscious and nearly dead. "We have to call an ambulance."

Slade's Office

Slade was sitting at the desk of the more lavish office that he had spoken to Sebastian in 2.09 Three Ghosts.

Sebastian walked in.

Slade was reading a file. "Point blank range. Single shot to the heart from a low angle. Obviously the handiwork of someone quite scared, and very small." He put the file of Sebastian Sangre on the desk. The file number was SC43878, the file that Oliver, Jill and Laurel had been looking for. "How come the police didn't arrest you?"

"I knew how to cover my tracks," Sebastian answered.

"A skill you've obviously lost since you've gotten bigger," Slade told him. "You know how close you came to allowing the vigilantes to destroy everything?"

"Someone spoke out of turn," Sebastian told him. "I've taken care of the problem."

Slade stood, walking toward him. "Your mother was not our problem. Laurel Lance is."

"You were the one who told me to get close to her," Sebastian told him. "You said that it was part of the plan to hurt the vigilantes."

"It is," Slade told him. "But you being sloppy isn't. Fix this, Mr. Blood." He tightened the tie around Sebastian's neck to choke him. "You don't want me to fix it for you."

Slade pushed Sebastian against the wall, walking out, leaving.

Sebastian fixed his tie, pulling out his phone, making a call. "Brother Daily. I need you to take care of something for me."

Laurel's Apartment - Living room

Laurel walked into her apartment to see that it was trashed in what looked like a robbery. "Whoever you are, I'm calling the police."

Daily walked closer. "No need to. Remember me?"

"Officer Daily, right?" Laurel asked. "What's this all about? What are you doing in my apartment?"

Daily showed her a piece of paper. "I have a warrant."

Laurel took it. "A warrant for what?"

Other officers were searching the apartment.

An officer showed Laurel an evidence bag with Jessica's pain medication inside.

"We found these in your bedroom, Ms. Lance," Daily told her. "These aren't prescribed to you. That's a felony."

Laurel was arrested. "What? This is ridiculous."

"You're under arrest for possession of a controlled substance," Daily told her. "You have the right to remain silent." The police led Laurel out of her apartment. "Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law."

Starling City Police Department - Interrogation Room

Laurel was sitting at the table, sniffing, handcuffed.

Lance and Jessica walked in.

"I know what this looks like," Laurel told them. "But you have to listen to me." She stood, walking closer. "I know what's happening. Sebastian Blood... he's setting me up, because he knows I'm onto him. He's--he's trying to frame me."

"So he planted drugs in your apartment?" Jessica asked.

"No," Laurel answered. "But--no. Forget about the drugs. The point is, is that he is the one behind this witch hunt."

"Sebastian called your boss," Lance told her. "He's worried about you."

"No, no," Laurel told them. "He wasn't worried about me. He's trying to discredit me. Don't you see what he's doing?"

"What I see is that you have tested positive for opiates," Lance told her. "I see that you have been lying to us, and I see that you have been stealing from your sister."

Jessica took out her medication bottle to show to Laurel.

Laurel looked at Jessica in regret. "I can explain that."

"Every person that stands where you're standing now says the same thing," Lance told her.

"Dad..." Laurel trailed off. "Jessie..."

"The DUI, the paranoia about Blood, you're looking like hell," Jessica told her, looking more concerned for her sister, while their father was angry. Laurel started to cry. "You got a problem, Laurel."

Laurel shook her head. "No."

"It's addiction," Lance told her.

"No," Laurel told them.

"It runs in the family," Lance told them. He looked at Jessica. "You went through a phase of it when Danny died." He looked at Laurel. "Although, she never sunk so low when you started when Tommy died. You can't pin this on Sebastian Blood."

"Daddy, Jessie, please, you have to believe me," Laurel told them. "Please, please."

"I don't, baby," Lance told her, opening the door, walking out.

"Jess, please say you believe me," Laurel told her. "Please."

"I wanted to," Jessica told her. "I'm not so sure anymore."

Jessica picked up her meds from the table, walking toward the door.

Laurel sobbed. "Jess."

Jessica walked out, leaving, closing the door behind her.

Laurel leaned forward against the glass on the door, crying.

Main Room

Jessica was standing at her desk in the main room of the precinct, putting her pills in her bag.

Lance walked toward her. "I don't know anything anymore, Jess."

"I'll get her home," Jessica told him.

Lance nodded, walking away.

An officer led Laurel into the room to discharge her.

Jessica watched her sister sadly, sighing.

Flashback

Night - Lian Yu - Woods

Sara had taken the radio into the middle of the woods. "Anthony? Are you there?"

"I'm here, Sara," Ivo answered. "I was hoping that you would reach out to me. Are you alone?"

Jill was watching from the cover of the trees, hidden.

Sara nodded. "Yes."

Ivo was on his ship. "Are you all right? You're not hurt, are you?"

"Do you even care?" Sara asked. "You were going to shoot me."

"No," Ivo told her. "No, Sara. I swear to you, you were never in danger. I swear."

"So, it's okay because you were just planning on making Oliver choose between Jill and Shado?" Sara asked incredulously.

Ivo sighed. "Her name was Shado?"

"Yes," Sara answered. "And you killed her, Anthony."

"And I'm going to have to live with that for the rest of my life," Ivo told her. "I never set out to hurt anyone. I started this quest to save people. To save the human race."

"I know," Sara told him.

Ivo stood. "Sara. I know you think that this ship rescued you when you were stranded at sea. The truth is... you rescued me. But now the darkness, it's threatening me again. I need you, Sara. Please. Save me."

Sara turned around, unaware that Jill was still watching her.

Now

Night - Starling General Hospital - Hallway

The man that had tried to kill Skylar was lying in the ICU, beaten and bloody, having a tube in his mouth to help him breathe.

Roy and Skylar were watching from the hallway. Skylar was back in her normal clothes from earlier.

The doctor walked out of the ICU toward them.

"How's he doing?" Skylar asked.

"The damage done to his head and lower abdomen is severe," the doctor told them. "He ruptured his spleen, and he has massive swelling in his brain. Thankfully, he got medical attention quickly, so he's got a shot. You two did a good thing here."

The man walked away.

Skylar shook her head. "No. We nearly killed this guy."

Thea walked closer. "Roy? Skylar? Are you okay?"

"What are you doing here?" Roy asked.

"Because I'm worried about you," Thea answered. She looked at the man in the ICU. "Who is that guy?"

"A guy that tried to kill Skylar," Roy answered. "We put him there."

"You--you did this?" Thea asked in shock.

"Just drop it," Skylar told her. "Please."

"Something is happening to you two," Thea told them. "I'm not judging you. I'm not angry with you. I'm on your side. I just want to help you."

"You can't," Skylar told her. "I--I got to go."

Skylar walked away.

"Skylar," Thea told her.

Skylar ignored her, walking away, turning around a corner of the hallway, leaning against the wall, sliding to the floor, devastated and confused with what she was turning into and what she had nearly did, starting to cry, holding her head in her hands.

Laurel's Apartment - Living Room

Laurel and Jessica were cleaning up the mess left behind in the apartment.

Jessica found the picture of her and her sisters, the glass cracked, picking it up.

"You haven't said much," Laurel told her. "Are you working on your lecture?"

"No lecture," Jessica told her.

"I suppose you think I'm crazy now, though," Laurel told her.

Jessica sighed, standing. "I think that you have everyone fooled, because you want people to think that none of this gets to you. And that you don't need anyone's help."

Laurel stood, walking closer. "I don't."

"Except that you keep forgetting that I went through this, too," Jessica told her. "You feel like nothing works in the world anymore, and that you're the only one who notices, and you think that if you drink and if you take pills, you can stop noticing it, too. After Danny died, I did drink. And when I got hurt by the Huntress, I overused by pain meds. But I never stole from anyone else. And I didn't let myself spiral down this far."

"But you're a cop, Jess," Laurel told her. "You're trained to handle the pain of losing people you care about. I'm not."

"You can never be trained enough, be prepared enough, when you lose someone, Laurel," Jessica told her. "When you lose someone, the pain is the same for whoever you are and whatever you do. You just can't let it consume you."

Laurel sighed heavily. "What happened to no lectures?" She took a deep breath. "I just--I need a glass of water. Do you mind? Please?"

Jessica looked at her for a moment, walking out of the room toward the kitchen to get water.

Laurel knelt to the floor to pick up more of the mess, overwhelmed, running her hands through her hair.

Jessica walked in with the glass of water. She was hit in the head from behind by someone unseen, dropping the glass to the floor, making them shatter, falling unconscious.

The man that had hit her drew his gun, aiming it at Jessica.

Brother Blood walked in. "Leave her. She's supposed to deliver the message to her friends." Two men were restraining Laurel. "Hello, Laurel."

➣➣

Jessica woke up sometime later after they were already gone, realizing what had happened, sitting up, gasping. "Laurel."

Jessica saw something on the wall, standing, taking out her phone connected to the vigilantes, making the call.

Jill's disguised voice was on the other line. "Hello, Detective."

"I need your help," Jessica told her. "Someone knocked me out in my sister's apartment. They took Laurel."

"Do you know where?" Jill asked.

"I think I have a pretty good idea," Jessica told her, looking at the message on the wall.

TELL SAPPHIRE ARROW STARLING CANNERY

Jessica ran out of the apartment.

Jill / Sapphire:

Starling Cannery

Laurel woke up, breathing heavily. She stood, walking around, trying to figure out what happened and where she was.

Brother Blood was following her.

"If that mask is supposed to scare me, all that it's doing is confirming what I've already known for a while now," Laurel told him. "You're one sick son of a bitch, Sebastian."

Laurel ran away.

Brother Blood followed at a slow speed, knowing that she wasn't going to get away. "30,000 years ago, masks invested their wearer with authority, like a god."

"You're insane," Laurel told him.

"I'm not the one making drug-addled, unsubstantiated accusations against Starling's favorite son," Brother Blood told her.

"If I can find out the truth, then others can, too," Laurel told him.

Brother Blood came up from behind Laurel, restraining her. "You found out nothing. You know nothing."

Laurel turned to punch Brother Blood in the face. Brother Blood ducked, holding her in a chokehold from behind.

An arrow soared past them.

Oliver/Arrow stood up on the balcony above, disguising his voice. "Get away from her!" He aimed his bow and arrow at Brother Blood. "Or I will put... you... down."

Brother Blood looked at Laurel. "And to think, a few short months ago, you were trying to arrest the vigilantes."

Jill/Sapphire walked closer, disguising her voice. "You wanted us here. We're here. Let. Her. Go. Or I'll make you let her go." She pried Brother Blood's arm from Laurel's throat, flipping him to the ground. Laurel fell to the floor. Jill looked at Laurel. "Go!"

"No, I think she should witness this," Brother Blood told her, taking out a gun, aiming it at Jill.

Jill rolled her eyes, spinning to kick the gun out of his hand, cartwheeling closer to kick him in the head, flipping up. Brother Blood stood, trying to punch her. Jill ducked, kneeing him in the stomach, kicking him away from Laurel.

Oliver jumped down from the balcony, landing next to Laurel, helping her stand. They heard a few more blows being exchanged by the others.

Brother Blood tried to punch Jill. Jill ducked, elbowing him in the face, punching him back, kicking him in the stomach, making him back away. Oliver ran closer, jumping up to kick Brother Blood in the face, making him back away. Brother Blood tried to punch him. Oliver ducked, using his bow to hit him in the face. Brother Blood punched him in the face. Oliver kicked him twice in either side. Brother Blood tried to punch him. Oliver ducked, turning to hit him with his bow.

Brother Blood had seemingly vanished.

Oliver and Jill exchanged a look, walking along to find him.

Brother Blood jumped out of hiding from behind Jill, tackling her to the floor, making her drop her sword, forcing her down to straddle her, twisting her arm behind her back, making bones start to crack and her groan in pain. Oliver shot an arrow into Brother Blood's leg, making him groan a scream and let Jill go. Jill turned to elbow him in the face, making him fall. Brother Blood drew two guns, aiming them at Oliver and Jill.

Brother Blood was shot from behind. He turned around.

Jessica walked closer to Brother Blood, shooting him repeatedly, making him fall.

They stood over his dying body.

Laurel walked closer. "Take off his mask. I need to see."

Jessica walked closer to pull off the skull mask, revealing Daily. She was in shock to see that a fellow police officer was the one behind the mask.

Daily smirked before he died.

Laurel was in shock that it hadn't been Sebastian. She started to cry. Jessica pulled her sister into her arms, holding her comfortingly. Laurel returned the embrace in relief.

Oliver and Jill were not sure how they felt about the results. Not knowing if they should have felt relief for the mayor not being there, but their suspicions having been piqued about him all the same.

➣➣

Starling City Police Department

Jessica was sitting at her desk, filing out paperwork for making a kill out in the field while she had not even been on the job.

Laurel was sitting next to her, looking worse for wear.

Lance walked closer. "Sweethearts." He held an arm around either of his daughters. "Are you all right?"

"Yeah," Jessica answered.

Lance sighed. "Looks like Daily was behind this whole thing. Son of a bitch volunteered for the raid that got Hilton killed. And we found the accelerant that he used to torch the Langford Institute in his apartment."

"I thought it was Sebastian," Laurel told them. "I was so sure."

Jessica sighed. "Yeah. Well, that's the thing about the booze and the pills. You know, same thing that dulls your pain... clouds the judgment."

Lance embraced his two daughters.

Adam walked closer. "Can we have a minute?"

"Yeah," Jessica answered, standing, walking away.

Lance followed her.

Laurel looked at Adam. "Are you here to say, 'I told you so'?"

"We're dropping the possession charges, and your sister won't be charged in Daily's shooting," Adam told her. "It was clearly self defense, the work of a police officer."

"You don't seem that thrilled for us," Laurel told him.

"Are you going to look me in the eye and tell me you don't have a substance abuse problem?" Adam asked. Laurel didn't know what to say, looking away. "The DA's office was a generous severance package."

Laurel stood. "Wait. Wait, let me explain to DA Spencer. I can--I can tell her everything."

"This isn't coming from Spencer, Laurel," Adam told her. "This is me. I'm the one that hired you. I'm sorry. But you're done."

Adam walked away.

Verdant - Foundry

Oliver and Jill returned to the foundry, still suited up, but their identities shown, to join Justin, Felicity and John.

"Did Jessica really shoot him?" Felicity asked.

"She saved our lives," Jill told them.

"That's a good thing, Jill," Felicity told her.

"You two okay?" Justin asked.

Oliver shook his head. "Laurel really had me believing that Sebastian Blood was a criminal mastermind, and the only reason that I nearly believed her was because it was Laurel. I do have a blind spot where she's concerned." He shook his head. "Not anymore."

"Certainly know how to talk yourselves out of a victory," Felicity told them.

"It's a gift," Jill told them.

"Take the win, guys," John told them. "Daily's dead, and you destroyed the serum. It's over."

Justin sighed, looking toward the security footage showing Skylar and Roy upstairs. "No, it isn't." He looked at Oliver and Jill. "They won't listen to Thea, me, either of you. Not as yourselves, anyway. I think there are only two people that can get through to them, and that's because they idolize them and know that they can help them."

Oliver and Jill nodded in agreement.

Upstairs

Skylar was sitting at the bar.

Roy rolled a keg toward the stairs.

Thea walked in.

Oliver stood next to them, in regular clothes. "Hey. Slow night?" Skylar walked out, leaving. Roy walked away to take the keg upstairs.  Oliver looked at Thea. "Something I said?"

"Don't take it personally," Thea told him. "They won't even make eye contact with me."

"Something happen?" Oliver asked.

"They put someone in the hospital," Thea answered. Oliver looked at her in surprise, walking closer in concern. "They're a little stingy with the details, but..." Thea sighed. "You should have seen this guy. I don't understand how any human could have done that to another. Each day, they become more and more like people I don't even know. They won't even listen to me."

Oliver sighed. "I know a person or two they'll listen to."

Flashback

Night - Lian Yu - Woods

Jill was still in the cover of the trees, watching Sara.

Sara was still talking with Ivo over the radio.

"Sara, are you still there?" Ivo asked.

"When you first found me, I felt like you were my savior," Sara told him. "And letting me into your work, I felt like I was a part of something bigger."

"You are, Sara," Ivo told her.

"It was only because I didn't want to see what you were really doing," Sara told him. "I mean, what you did to those people on the boat, and how you tortured them for science... how I was glad that I wasn't one of them. But now... I'd rather be dead than keep being a part of this."

Ivo was very angry in less than a second from hearing this. "You ungrateful bitch. You think you know what torture is? You have no idea. But I will show you. I am going to hunt you down. All of you, and I will show--"

Sara turned the radio off. She heard footsteps approaching, turning to see Jill walking closer.

Jill finally trusted Sara after having heard the conversation, looking impressed and regretful for her behavior before.

Sara held the radio toward Jill.

Jill took it.

"Let's go wake up Ollie so we can find Slade," Sara told her.

Jill nodded in agreement.

Now

Night - Slade's Office

Sebastian and three men in black suits walked in.

Sebastian looked around for Slade but didn't see him. "It's done. They think it was all Daily. He sacrificed himself for our cause."

They heard Slade's voice. "A good start. But the magnitude of your negligence requires a greater sacrifice." Slade/Deathstroke came out of hiding, slashing his swords into the three men in black suits, killing them by slashing their throats, stabbing them in the heart or slitting through their chests. He kicked Sebastian to the floor. Sebastian stood. Slade put a sword to his throat. "Your incompetence has now cost four lives, alderman." He took off his mask. "Fail me again, and yours will be the fifth."

Slade walked out, leaving.

Verdant - Outside Alley

Skylar was standing outside, gazing off expressionlessly in guilt.

Roy walked outside. "You okay?"

"I'll do better if I never hear that question again," Skylar told him. "We nearly killed that guy, Roy. I can't do that again. You might be the kind of person that can kill to get the job done, but I can't be."

Roy sighed in guilt. "I know. I'm sorry."

An arrow was shot into the wall next to Skylar.

Skylar turned to see the arrow in the wall behind her.

Roy turned around, walking toward the arrow. "If that was supposed to go through my other leg, you missed."

Roy and Skylar turned to face Oliver/Arrow and Jill/Sapphire, who both disguised their voices.

"You seem to be healing pretty well," Oliver told them.

Roy glared at Oliver angrily, trying to punch him. Oliver ducked. Roy tried to punch him in the chest. Oliver ducked to the side, making him punch the brick wall behind him. The force of Roy's punch broke down the bricks.

"You're stronger, you heal faster, but you're not in control," Jill told them. "The serum that you were exposed to, it changes your body but it also warps your mind."

"How do you two know so much about it?" Skylar asked.

"We've seen it before," Jill answered. "It twists people. Turns them into people they don't recognize. Dangerous people."

"Maybe you should put your sword through me, right through my heart," Roy told her.

"There's another way," Oliver told them. "We can teach you... to control this new ability. And to control yourselves." Skylar refused to make eye contact, stepping closer to Roy. "Let us help you."

Skylar stood next to Roy, looking at him for confirmation.

Roy hesitated, nodding.

Skylar looked at Oliver and Jill. "When do we start?"
