Yuuki's POV

My aunt overheard the news and wanted to visit me over the summer, but her work kept her stuck. It was nice to know she wanted to visit but still kinda annoying that she couldn't. Ever since I was officially discharged from the hospital I needed a place to stay. Calvin's family already had their hands full so my other option was to stay with Asuna.

"I can ask my mom right after school" Asuna suggests. We were on our way to school. It was also my first day back after the whole treatment and rehab so I was really upbeat and anxious on how everyone would react.

"Thanks Asuna. Calvin's got his hands full with his two sisters and I don't think his parents can handle another mouth the feed" I explain.

"Wow, it's your first day back to school. Well second time." I chuckle.

"Yeah, I'm really anxious. It felt like forever since I went to school"

"Don't worry. I'm sure it will be fine. Everyone might be surprised to find out this is the Yuuki they've been talking to through the shoulder camera"

"Yeah I can imagine the looks on their faces. Surprise, happiness, maybe a mix of both"

"You'll just have to see. Maybe you'll be the one who gets surprised" Asuna hints.

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"Oh something" Asuna says with a giggle. And boy did I see. When I walked through the front doors a tan skinned boy, clad in a school uniform was waiting. His dark eyes behind a pair of clear lenses told me more than enough of who it was.

"C-Calvin?!" I ask in surprise.  

  "Oh hey Yuuki. Have you been doing well?" I run and crash into him for a hug. "Whoa, what this?"

"Calvin you didn't tell me you were joining this school!"

"Surprise Surprise?" I quickly plant a kiss on his cheek. This was an amazing surprise and especially on my fir-second day back to school.

"Morning Calvin" Asuna greets.

"Morning Asuna" Calvin greets back. "Thanks for walking Yuuki here"

"No problem" Asuna replies with a smile. "Oh I'm going to ask my mom after school if Yuuki can stay with us"

"Thanks great to hear. Now you'll be able to live with a great family of your own" Calvin tells me.

"Yep. I can't wait" I say gleefully. "Oh! By the way what room are you in?"

"What room are you in?"

"You first" I say back.

"No you"

"Fine. Let's both say it at the same time" I suggest.

"Fine"

"Room 117" we both say at the same time. "What!? Really? No way. Stop that! No, you first!" We both laugh. It was fun to share random moments like that.

"So you're really in 117?" I ask.

"Yeah. I registered and took the test. They put me in that class. Guess it was by chance I was in the same class with you"

"This is amazing! Now we get to be together a lot more"

"Yo Cavalry!" I turn around to see Klein, Lisbeth, Kirito and Silica walking toward us.

"Klein, don't say that aloud. It might attract some-"

"Wait Cavalry?"

"The Cavalry?"

"The one with the One Man Cavalry skill?"

"Unwanted attention" Calvin finishes. The next thing I know everyone was crowding around Calvin, moving him away from us.  

"Nice one Klein" Lisbeth taunts.

"Sorry, I didn't think it would attract this much attention" Klein apologizes.

"Calvin.." I whisper raising my arm out to him. He was being carried away by the flood of fans.

"Let's get to class Yuuki" Asuna says taking my hand. "Calvin will meet us there"

"I hope so."  

  We walk to the classroom and take our seats. Mine was behind Asuna's. Around the middle row. Calvin manages to arrive right when the bell rings and takes a seat by the window desk.

"Good morning class" the teacher says greeting us. "We have two new- well one returning and one new member to our school. Please welcome Yuuki Konno and Calvin Abraham." The class murmurs a little. "You two please come to the front and introduce yourselves." I get up from my seat and walk to the front of the class. Calvin does the same and stands beside me.

"I'm-" both of us begin at the same time. "No you go first. Please, you're the new one here." We both sigh in defeat before Calvin begins.

"This is Yuuki Konno. She is the person you have all met through the shoulder camera Asuna was wearing a few months back. Her illness is gone so she's able to go school for real" Calvin says introducing me.

"This is Calvin Abraham. He's an indian who has made a new life here in Japan. He is an amazing friend to have join you and works at a hospital as a Hospital Clown. A sort of cheap babysitting service at the hospital he works at" I says introducing him.

"We hope you have an amazing time having us in your class" we both say bowing.

"Thank you Yuuki and Calvin. You may return to your seats." I return to my desk as Calvin return to his. I take a quick peek behind me and I could see the sun shine around him. It made it look like he was glowing with sunlight. It looked..handsome for him. "Alright class let open to..."

-Lunch Time-

After some classes, Asuna and I went up to the roof to eat out lunches. Kirito was already there working on a program for Yui. Calvin had dropped off a lunch for me so I enjoying it. It was a cute bento-like mix of curries and rice. I did start to have a taste for curry but it wasn't the same with Calvin not being here.

"Enjoying your lunch?" Asuna asks sitting beside me.

"Somewhat..I guess. It's just not the same with Calvin with me"

"I get how you're feeling. Kirito sometimes forgets he even has a girlfriend trying to feed him his lunch. He's always busy trying fix up that program for Yui"

"Must be hard"

"Not so much but hey, it does go for the better"

"Guess you're right." Asuna pulls out a box of strawberry Pocki from her bag. She opens it up and points it toward me.

"When life gets you done, have a Pocki." I giggle.

"Ha, thanks Asuna." I take one of the Pocki and slowly nibble on it. The strawberry flavored coating did perk me up a little.  

  Soon the period was almost over. Calvin still didn't arrive. 

"I guess Calvin had his hands full with the crowd" I say with a sad sigh.

"I'm sure it will blow over as the days go by" Kirito says trying to cheer me up.

"I hope so. I'd better get going. Don't want to be late for class." I pick up my books and head for the roof top door. My hand reaches for the handle when it suddenly opens and a figure crashes into me. My papers fly all over as I landed on my butt. "Owie"

"Ouch. That hurt"  

  "Maybe you should watch where you're goin-" I look up to see Calvin was on the floor. He was the one who crashed into me. "Calvin? What are you doing here? It's almost the end of the period"

"So sorry Yuuki." He puts out his hand. I take it as we both pick ourselves up. "I wanted to meet you for lunch but a few fans wanted to know some tips and tricks for ALO and I guess I lost track of time. So sorry." I place my hands on his cheeks and pulls his head down for a kiss.

"Well you arrived. I get to spend a few minutes with you at least"

"True. Also do I taste some strawberries on your lips?"

"Maybe.." I say with a giggle.

-After school-

The day went by like a bee buzzing from flower to flower. (I think Calvin's quips are wearing onto me). We said our goodbyes as I walk with Asuna to her home.

"Asuna, you sure your mom is gonna be okay with me staying with you?" I ask her on the way.

"I'm sure. I've told her about you so she's already quite informed." We reach Asuna home a few minutes later. When we arrived my jaw dropped in awe.

"This is like a mansion! You guys must be loaded!"

"Oh no it's nothing like that. Both my parents work with money so they know how to handle it and use if efficiently"

"So..you're basically rich?" I say with a giggle.

"Oh Yuuki" Asuna giggles. She opens the gates as we walk into her home.

"Welcome back Miss Yuuki. Oh and who is this?" a maid greets us.

"This is Yuuki Konno, the girl who recently lived against the AIDS disease"

"Ah yes. Welcome Miss Konno. You are going to stay with us for a while?"

"Yes, just until I can get a home of my own and such"

"Understood. Oh Miss Yu-Asuna, you should talk to your mother of this"

"Yeah I was planning on telling her now. Is she in her room?"

"Yes she is"

"Thank you" Asuna bows. She walks off to her mother's room.

"I-uh thank you for letting me stay!" I say bowing. I quickly follow Asuna upstairs. We stop at a door at the end of the hall.

"My mom is in here. Let me explain things to her and then I'll signal you in alright?"

"Sure thing"

"Best of luck?"

"Fingers crossed" I say crossing my fingers. She nods before knocking on the door.

"Come in" a voice tells her. Asuna enters her mother's room. I wanted to hear what they were talking about so I lean up against the door and place an ear to it.

"Asuna? This is a surprise. Your grades are doing well. Is something wrong? *gasp* Did that Kirito boy hurt you in any way?"

"What? No! Not at all. I wanted to know if..someone can stay with us"

"Asuna, how many times did I tell you? We can't keep a pet. Their pet fur and-"

"Mother it's not a pet. It's a person, a she to be specific"

"Apologizes. So who is it? One of your friends?"

"Yeah, you remember Yuuki Konno?"

"Oh Miss Konno? I've heard she is healing well correct?"

"Yes. She was discharged from the hospital a few hours ago and she needs a place to stay. Can she stay with us for the while?"

"Why of course. I'm happy to accept a new family member like her"

"Whaa-" I yelp as the door gives way. I fall face first into the room. I slowly look up and see both Asuna and her mother with faces of surprise. "H-hi?"

"Asuna.." Asuna's mother begins with a stern look. "This is miss Konno right?"

-One hour later-

After my sudden outburst, Asuna's mom went over some ground rules (don't barge into other people's conversations) and a schedule that I had to follow. She said I could share Asuna's room and with a warm welcome, I was officially part of the family.

"This is so amazing. It's like we're going to be sisters!" Asuna says full of giddiness.

"I know! We can finally do things like real sisters"

"Yep. Wait you consider me your sister?"

"Yeah is there something wrong with that?" Asuna hugs me with all her might. "Asuna?"

"There nothing wrong. Just really happy to hear you call me a sister." I hug her back.

"Thanks for being here for me..Sis"

"You're very welcome..Sis." We both giggle. "Oh we'll have to buy you some clothing and pajamas tomorrow"

"Oh you're right. Shoot what am I gonna wear tonight?"

"You can borrow mine"

"Really? Thanks Asuna"

"It's really no problem."

Being accepted into Asuna's household was a huge change for me. Getting to be part of a family once more, even having a sister to share a room with. I'm going to enjoy life to it's best.
