[ After the battle with Deku and Black against Kirito and the others... Deku and Black reign victorious and Quinella has finally have Deku in her grasp. Meanwhile, with Bercouli and his group joined the fight... but even though, Bercouli and the others weren't even close to winning against the "Re-Animated" group. Even Bercouli was having a hard time getting through Deku Black, which he was preparing a big move against him but he was interrupted by another man named "Gabriel Miller", which gave Bercouli's group a disadvantage. With Cardinal was watching the whole thing... she couldn't bring herself into not interfering - Cardinal used her Rod Staff to teleport everyone away from the Axiom Church. Which means they failed. Then now with Cardinal in the Great Library - ]

Cardinal:
"Unreal! So Unreal!" Cardinal gritted her teeth. Then she sees Kirito, Asuna, Yuuki, Eugeo and Alice's critical-injured, unconscious bodies. "I truly never thought Deku would ever brutalized his friends like this. Curses! That witch... I can't believe she made that Curse Mark so strong!" Cardinal said as Charlotte spoke to Cardinal

Charlotte:
"Miss Cardinal, what are we going to do now? We can't let them to get away with Deku in their grasp!"

Cardinal:
"...I wish we can but... what can we even do?! Even if I managed to train everyone to their limits... I never thought the Curse Mark go beyond of what I imagined! Even Bercouli was having trouble with Deku Black! Plus... I don't know how it's possible that they can bring back people who're already dead! Quinella was a few steps ahead of me..." Cardinal was getting angry but managed to calm down a bit. "Well... I guess that I -"

"NOOOOO!!!"

[ Before Cardinal finishes her sentence, a voice shouted out of nowhere... then Cardinal looks at the unconscious teenagers, and it was Yuuki. As she regained consciousness -]

Cardinal:
"My goodness. Yuuki, are you alright?" Cardinal rushed over to Yuuki, as she suddenly sees Yuuki's tears rushing down her cheeks.

Yuuki:
(Crying)
"Miss... Cardinal. I'm... *Sniff* so sorry that... we failed!"*Sniff*
"We... couldn't even stop him... I'm... so sorry!" Yuuki couldn't control her tears. Then Cardinal comforted Yuuki, as she was going to heal her injuries.

Cardinal:
"Don't apologize, Yuuki. You and the others have gave it your all to bring your friend back. I never thought it would happen like this. I wasn't thinking ahead." Yuuki started to calm down a bit but still shed tears. "I know that you're upset about Deku and everything else... but did something important happen in the middle of the battle?" Cardinal asked Yuuki, while she was recovering Yuuki's injuries.

Yuuki:
"Well... *Sniff* the others and I made it to the floor where Deku was located in... then we tried to talk to him... but he ended up running away from us but we eventually caught up to him - Then - We witnessed the Curse Mark taking over him. He's... completely different from before... he felt cold, dark... and feel completely loss. We faced him and he was able to completely wipe the floor with the five of us." Cardinal was surprised after hearing about Deku handling his friends easily

Cardinal:
"All five of you?! Was he really able to handle that much?"

Yuuki:
*Sighed*
"Yeah... but of course, Deku Black was there. So, it was difficult for us to take Deku back. But... after Black interfered, he said something that I thought he was going to say to get in our skins but.. he said - "

Deku Black:

"Same here. I can't stop thinking about it... but of course, after that. Deku unleashed his Mark all the way through his body... and it look like he's not human anymore! It scares us, that he used the Mark like that! His skin, eyes sclera, hair - Everything changed! Then... he started taking action, he was on a different level, then he took down Alice and Eugeo by using Akira and Soma's Link Crossing Skills, then he somehow took me and the others down with Aoi's Skill. Then he tried to kill Asuna, but Kirito stopped him on time but Asuna was unconscious due to the stab wound. Then Kirito and I were going full throttle... but I collapsed because of my injury kicked in. Then Kirito and Deku clashed head-on but Deku stabbed him through the shoulder... then I was the only one left. I couldn't take it anymore as I suddenly burst out crying and Deku told me his reasons... and he..."

[ Flashback ]

Deku:
"(Later, Yuuki Konno.)"

Yuuki:
"(NO!!!)"

CURSE MARK FLASHED! WHOOSHED!

Yuuki:
"(*Gasp*)"

[ End Flashback ]

Yuuki:
"Then he just disappeared. Leaving me behind again. I cried, shouted my lungs out... then I blacked out."

Cardinal:
"..." Cardinal shook her head. "I truly apologize for everything that happened. But... as much I hate to say it but... this is reality and not everything always goes according to plan. This heart-wrenching reality is cruel enough as it is... and we have no choice but to accept it." Yuuki shed a tear... knowing that it's the truth - A painful truth that it's hard to accept, but... "But... when you remember that Deku said "I'll see you guys later... I hope..." there's still hope that Deku will return in the future. I don't know when but... there's always hope. It's not much... so try not to get your hopes up, and even if it's just a little bit, keep it, and move forward. It's painful but it'll be worth it as you'll be better than you were before." Cardinal said

Yuuki:
"......" Yuuki nodded her head.

Cardinal:
"I promise you that things will go better, for you and everyone else and this world. It just takes time. And I hope the same thing happens for Deku as well. Don't you agree, Yuuki?"

Yuuki:

Deku:

Yuuki:
"Yes. I... agree. If he said he hopes to see me again... then I hope so too. But... as much as I want to have more hope in this... but I can't keep having my hopes too high... so I'll keep it." Yuuki smiled softly as she shed tears unnoticed

~"Ok. Glad you understand. For now, focus on recovering. You and others are going to need it. Okay?" Yuuki sighed and she leaned back to close her eyes and focusing on her recovery. Then Charlotte spoke to Cardinal.

Charlotte:
"Miss Cardinal. I truly feel sad for the poor girl. She definitely doesn't deserve that treatment." Cardinal nods her head in agreement. "But she's strong and have hope of her friend return. I really respect her and her decision. But... what are we going to do now? Are we planning on taking on Quinella and Chudelkin and take back Deku ourselves?"

Cardinal:
"As much as I love to do so... but with the followers of the Axiom Church and the Curse Mark... I'd say we can strategize on taking Deku back but... Deku Black and Chudelkin is going to be a big thorn on our side. And plus... it's a suicide mission. We're just wasting our lives for nothing..." Charlotte didn't wanted to agree but she sees that Cardinal has a good point. "So... I hate to do this but... I'm afraid that we'll have to let Deku go for now... and just focusing on the rest of recovery time."

[ Then a little later... Bercouli and the others were surprised by the sudden interference of their battles. Same thing with Klein, Agil, Silica, Lisbeth, Akuma, Aiko, Sinon and Leafa/Suguha. "I couldn't stop thinking about his words... I have to go back! Please, Administrator Cardinal, take me back to the church!" Cardinal shook her head

Cardinal:
"As much as I admired your character and wanted to redeem yourself and try to make up your mistake for being to lenient and wanted to save your student... but I can't do that. You were having a little trouble with Deku Black... and then even more with Gabriel interfering." Cardinal refused

Bercouli:
"I need to go back! I'll do anything I can to bring our student back even if I'll cost me my life!"

Cardinal:
*Shook her head*
"No. I'm sorry, but like I said... they won. I hate it as much as you do... but just let it go. The same thing applies for everyone else. Kirito and the others have through enough painful time with Deku and now they're almost at deaths door as we speak. You're not the only one who want to go back and finish what you started." Everyone was shocked of hearing Kirito and the others were not handling their critical injuries well and that they had no choice but let Deku go for now. "And plus, we have even more important matters in the future... the War. I don't know what'll happen next but in the meantime... we all need to be prepared for it. And who knows - Maybe Deku will be seen again soon."

[ Then later... as the others were waiting until Kirito and the others injuries were healed and get enough rest after their last fight... and of course, they were discussing about the war coming soon... and now... inside the Axiom Church with Quinella and Deku on the 100th floor - ]

Deku:
"..." Deku woken up and he was in the room with Quinella.

Quinella:

"Hello, Deku. Good to see you awake." Quinella caress his left cheek. Then Deku asked a question.

Deku:
"Where am I? Is this the highest floor?"

Quinella:
"Yes, darling, this is the 100th floor of the Axiom Church. Don't worry, it's just the two of us in this room. There won't be any interruptions."

Deku:
"Well... now that I'm here - I want power. I need it now!"

Quinella:
"Hmm. So impatient. Ok, I'll give you power... but in order for you to get power..."

"You can't be serious. You trying to seduce me? Who do I look like wanted to be seduced?!"

Quinella:
"Hmm. Did you say that you will do whatever it takes to get power? To achieve your goals? Whatever happens to that? Plus, I'm more than willing to give you power for free. And this is the only way, darling. So either way... you have no choice but to do this with me." Quinella smirk as she licks her lips sexually.

Deku:
~"......" Deku sighed.
~"(I really wish there was another way to gain more power... but... I have no other choice! As much I don't want to do this... but I have to swallow my pride and do it...)"
