"It's okay. You don't have to beat yourself up about it. I know it hurts but it's fine - You're learning from your mistakes and it's making you a better person. You already forgive yourself, right?"

"Yeah..."

"So... just let it go. It'll take a while but you'll get over it."

Deku:
"Hope so. I really want to get along with everyone again - My new family - My new home." Yuuki was happy to hear Deku saying that he still cares for his new family.

"Your new family? That's really cool." Then Deku calmed down and gathering up his breath and getting ready to say something else.

"I just now realized something... I know... I don't want to go too fast between us... AGAIN. But... after we're all set and done for this war... do... you want to be an official?"

"..." Deku was silent for a moment. "Sure. Where you want to go and talk?" Deku asked

"We can go to the dining hall. You wanna go now?"

"I can't believe this... I can't believe you actually said that. I never thought... you just... say something so cruel..."

"!!!" Deku sees Asuna's crying. Then he looks down.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing... let's go to the dining hall."

Deku's POV

[ After I freshened up from the Hot Springs... and use the Inn's free products for good hygiene... I was heading for our hotel room - Room #8, until someone called out my name and it was Asuna. I didn't want to look at her because I was going to see another flashback of when I hurt her feelings but I ended up seeing it anyway... so, Asuna wanted to talk to me as we're both in the dining hall. While at it, I also see a few of my friends who were eating and chatting with each other. As Asuna and I were about to begin our chat... whatever it is she wants to talk about. ]

Deku:
"So... what's up?"

Asuna:
"Don't you want something to eat? You haven't eaten anything yet."

Deku:
"I'm good. I can go days without eating..."

Asuna:
"Wait. Seriously? When did you eat anything?"

Deku:
(😶)
"Yes. And... um, I'd say... for 2 weeks now."

Asuna:
"Oh my gosh, I can't believe you haven't eaten anything. C'mon, I'll get you something."

Deku:
"It's ok, not hungry."

("I've been able to survive without eating cause of this Curse Mark... but I probably should've lied to her so she wouldn't worry...")

Asuna:
"Deku~Kun, you need to eat. I'm surprised you haven't even eaten anything for two weeks. I'm getting you something to eat!" Asuna hurried to grab some food, then someone else overheard our conversation... and it was Yuuki.

Yuuki:

"Say WHAT? You haven't ate anything in two weeks! I'm coming, Asuna! Not on my watch! If we're eating then you're eating, Deku~Kun!" Yuuki helps Asuna of getting food

Deku:

"Oh boy... I might as well and sit down and not fight back." As I planned to sit down and wait... it didn't take too long for them to get some food."

Yuuki:
"Here you go, Deku~Kun!"

Deku:

"Y'know... THIS is too much..." Yuuki gave me 3 plates of food.

Yuuki:

"It's better than nothing. Enjoy! And I'll be over here with the other girls. So don't mind me."

Deku:
*Sighed*
"Thanks." As Yuuki delivered some good food to me and head off to the other table with the others, Asuna sat right in front of me as I began to eat.

Asuna:
"...So. How's everything been going for you?"

Deku:
"It's going... can't complain. I'm still alive and kicking. You?"

Asuna:
"I'm good as well. I'm glad that everything's going smoothly for now. Um? How're you feeling about having one arm?"

Deku:
"..." I look at left and didn't think of it that much. "Well, I can't feel anything. It's really weird of not using my left arm anymore. Heh, so glad that I'm a right-handed anyway. I can still fight with one-arm - That's why I've been nicknamed the "One-Handed Swordsman" for a reason."

Asuna:
"Hehehe. Good one." Asuna giggled.

Deku:
"Well, at first it hurts like hell but I got used to it quickly."

Asuna:
"Ok. What are you going to do with that scar? I really don't like it. Can you heal it away?"

Deku:
"...I don't know if I can anyway. So either way, I'm not even worried about this scar. It's probably a flesh wound anyway."

Asuna:
"Oh. Okay then." As I was almost finished eating, I asked Asuna a question.

Deku:
"Asuna? I got a question."

Asuna:
"Yeah, what?"

Deku:
"Are you scared of me?" Then I saw Asuna look surprised. "Because I saw you looking at me all scared, I know that facial expression when you're scared." I looked Asuna straight in the eye, then she looked away for a second. "I take that as a yes."

Asuna:
"Well, I was because... of back then. You TRULY not only hurt me but you REALLY scared me a lot. It's like you... really want to take my life away."

[ When Asuna said that... I TRULY felt like my whole soul was drown in regret... I don't blame her... I did hurt her feelings too hard... and I did made her tremble in fear... ]

Deku:
"...I don't blame you. You have every right to be angry or upset or don't even want to be my friend anymore. I know I said all that... and I can't take it all back. Guessing two wrongs don't make a right but I... I did it for me. I never enjoyed it and it hurts me more when I brutalized you guys. But... I want to make it up for it all. You were just trying to help me but I was being too selfish and a bad friend."

Asuna:
"..."

Deku:
"So. Either way, as much I would apologize for everything I did to you and the others, but I know it'll take more than that. But... if me being around you is something that you can't handle, I'll keep my distance from you -"

Asuna:
"No! I don't want you to do that!"

Deku:
"?"

Asuna:
"What you said was true. And after everything that happened... especially the moment that me, you, Kirito and Yuuki had a conversation and we talked about how you truly feel about me and Kirito... honestly. I still wish I could've done better than before."

Deku:
"..."

Asuna:
"I just couldn't stop thinking about that... it was really deep. And for that, I want to apologize for making you feel that way in SAO - For making you feel left out, for making you witnessing our death, for everything! I also want to make things up with you. As I still love you, Deku~Kun!"

Deku:
"..." I took a deep breath and looked at Asuna. "Even though I told you the truth about how I feel about you and everything else? You still care? You still love me? Everything I said about you - I ULTIMATELY meant it."

Asuna:
"Yes! With from the bottom of my heart! With my whole life! I was truly happy to have you in my life. A good friend with a good heart. And I was more than happy to see you again but... I was scared but still."

Deku:
"..." I was truly a loss for words. "Okay. Guess I'm done here." I was planning on leaving but Asuna grabbed my hand.

Asuna:
"Deku~Kun! Please stay for a little bit longer."

[ As I looked at Asuna... I saw her eyes was filled of pleading. As it reminded me of her crying. So I gave up and decided to stay for a little bit longer - ]

Asuna:
"Thanks. So... I still love you and I'm glad that you're still on our side. And I look forward to start things over with you, well, if you're willing to."

Deku:
"...Okay. We definitely can."

Asuna:
"Ok, that's great. And... um, do you still love me? Will you be able to forgive me?"

Deku:
(🤨...🤦🏾‍♂️)
"Huh...? Oh god..." I put my hand on my face. "I thought I already told you that I let that go a LONG time ago. Why can't you do the same?"

Asuna:
"Like I said, it's really deep for me. I couldn't stop thinking about it. I really don't like the way I hurt you in SAO without even realizing it."

Deku:
"..." I shook my head. I might as well just get this over with. "I forgive you, Asuna. Everything." Then I saw Asuna smiled a bit. Then I got up, trying to return the trays.

Asuna:
"Ah, hey. You still haven't answer my question." I sighed to Asuna

Deku:
"...I still love you too, Asuna Onee-Chan." I walked out of the dining hall and I heard Asuna gasp.

Asuna:
"...!"
("He called me "Big Sister" again!")
"Glad you still called me your big sister..." Asuna smiled as she was happy being called "big sister" again

Dorothy:
"..." She watched Deku leaves the dining hall.

[ As I walked out, and I entered my room... I suddenly felt something rushing down my face - ]

Deku:

"I'm such a big crybaby..." My tears were able to flow through out my eyes as I couldn't even help but to feel sad for my misdeeds and my friends who I brutalized still cares for me.

"How am I so blessed to have such wonderful people like them in my life...?" I wiped my tears away.

[ There are things that I learn in life. In the Light - It teaches you about the good things - "Humanity," "Love," "Mercy" and "Forgiveness." And in the Dark - It teaches you about the serious things - "Strength," "No Mercy," "Absolute Power" and "Reality." I was able to learn it all from experiencing things in my life. So therefore... I just need to accept it. No questions asked, even if you want to do something about it - Just accept it. ]

Deku:
"...Why am I keeping this up?! Guess that I'm still not strong enough for this." I said as I decided to go and lay down in bed. "Asuna... Yuuki... Alice... Kirito, and everyone I'm still going to do my best for you guys - I NEVER stop loving you all!"

No ones POV

[ After Asuna invites Deku to the dining hall to have a meal and chat with each other... Asuna wanted to make it up for Deku for their "personal moment" months ago, and Deku wanted to make it up as well, so they decided to start things over as well. Deku went to his room, then after a little while, everyone decided to go to their rooms and get ready for the next day... now with the Konno Twins heading to their room with Deku - ]

Aiko:
"Wow. Their food was so good."

Yuuki:
"Uh-huh! It was a good appetite." Then both of them sees Deku sleeping. "Deku's sleeping. He looks so peaceful."

Aiko:
"He sure is. Just like when he sleeps in our house beforehand."

Yuuki:
"Yeah. I'm glad that we can have an opportunity to sleep together with him again. C'mon!" Yuuki said as she went in the bed, she snuggled to his right side.

Aiko:
"Heheh." Aiko did the same as she snuggle to his left. "Y'know. I really love Deku~San so much. I'm actually glad to have him in our lives. Don't you agree, Yuuki?" Aiko asked Yuuki a question as Yuuki smiled

Yuuki:

"Yeah. I really do. He is truly nice and kind. He loves his friends like he loves his family. It truly makes me happy that he now sees his friends as his new family, his new home."

Aiko:
"Even though he done so much bad deeds, he wants to atone for it all. Honestly, I was heartbroken when he done so much damage to you and the others, but I know he never wanted to do it, but he had a reason to do it and it was tearing him up inside. But, I'm glad that he wants to make it up for it, I know he will. It takes time."

Yuuki:
"Agree. He even wants to know how we both were able to make it through our lives so strong. He's curious about how we were able to survive the disease and still smiling so beautifully."

Aiko:
"Well, it wasn't easy but I'd say that God has blessed us that we stayed praying and never give up hope for getting cured."

Yuuki:
"Yep. And I want to know how Deku got so strong the first time we met. He was really nice, cool, easy to talk to and tease. And easily be a likable guy. I definitely had a wild crush on him out of nowhere, and I felt a huge connection between us somehow." Yuuki giggles

Aiko:
"Yeah. I wish we can have those moments again. I'm glad that he's back and he got everything done." Aiko smiled so softly at the sleeping Deku, then Yuuki done the same thing.

Yuuki:
"Definitely!"
