I sit in my chair staring at the glass of sparkling cider that was brought to me, I pick it up and sigh, sipping it lightly. I look around and a waiter comes over, "shall I give you a few moments ma'am?" I look at him and then look at my phone, I sigh again and shake my head "no I'm sorry, I'll just pay for the cider and leave". The waiter looks at me with pity and shakes his head "It's on the house ma'am, have a great Christmas" I smile a bit and nod, I get up and leave looking down at the ground. As i get outside I look at my phone seeing the message from my bf {Hey Baby, so sorry but I'm stuck at work, I wont be home till late tonight, don't worry about cooking for me} I growl, how could he forget that we had reservations and forget our tradition?!

I shove my phone into my purse and cross my arms trying to warm myself from the chilly air. It probably wasn't the brightest idea to wear a dress even though I had tights on and boots. I start walking when I get to a bus stop and sit-down shivering, God it is freezing out. I wish I had brought a jacket. As I sat there shivering all of a sudden, I heard "need some help there?" i look up and see a guy, he looked maybe 16? I don't know but he seemed taller than me and he seemed to be wearing a Christmas sweater and a green hat...well it fits the Christmas spirit, but he was actually a little cute. I snap out of it and shake my head "oh uh no I'm ok..." I shiver again and the guy sits next to me

he sighs "but you're shivering, please at least take this" he pulls a coat out of his satchel he had and hands it to me, I go to reach for it but shake my head and smile a bit "no ill be ok once im on the bus, thank you though" he shakes his head and puts it around me "no you should wear it...so may i ask why you're out here alone? And freezing?" i sigh and look down "its nothing..." i bite my lip a bit.
