Happy(ish) Holidays Pt. 1 - Swap!Pap & Fell!Sans

(AKA Honey Mustard. Stretch is Swap!Pap and Red is Fell!Sans)

(Also my sis's OTP. She won't shut up about it. Ever. EVER...She requested this.)

(Stretch)

I think my brother Blue enjoys parties too much. He's throwing a Christmas party in the Void with a bunch of other AUs and, being the older brother, I have to be there. I'd rather be at home, sleeping.

So I hung out in a corner, watching the other AU versions of me and my bro bandy about. I talked to Classic for a while, making stupid jokes with him as we watched the others together. I sort of went on guard when the Fell brothers arrived. Fell Papyrus is cranky as hell, and poor Red looked like something had gone amiss before their arrival. He seemed edgier than normal.

Making my exit from talking with Classic, I wound my way towards Red. He hung by the wall, downing eggnog like his life depended on it. I hid a smile at that. He had been to Blue's parties before, and Blue always had spiked drinks.

"Hey, Red," I said, sliding up next to him. He glanced at me, looking fidgety.

"'Sup, Stretch," he said tautly. I frowned a bit but nudged him.

"You having a good Christmas?"

His eyes flicked at me and I saw a silent plea while he answered, "Sorta."

"Well, if you've got any problems you can always crash at my place," I said, looking at Fell across the room, haughty as always. Red let out a terse chuckle, hugging his mug in his hands.

"Th-thanks," he chuckled, a light red dusting his cheeks. I looked at him oddly before chuckling softly to myself and walking away.

"Come find me if you wanna chat, Red," I called to him.

(Red)

Godammit, why is everyone so fucking nice here? I wanted to glare at Stretch but I also wanted to hide behind him and never leave his side until Boss stopped being an asshole and became a brother again.

We'd had a fight before coming here, about coming here, and Boss promised to whip my sorry ass once we got home. Though not in those exact words, or tone, or meaning...yeah I'm afraid for my safety.

Downing my eggnog, which was pleasantly spiked with some of Blue's favorite whiskey, I went for another mug. Maybe I would take up Stretch's offer and hang with him for a bit. At least I could delay and maybe cool Boss's anger for a while...

I sighed heavily, knowing Boss wouldn't let me out of his sight until I was properly punished for my earlier 'insolence' and whatnot. I heard someone walk up behind me and turned jerkily, still on edge from earlier. I might've relaxed at seeing Classic but my nerves got the better of me.

"Hey Red you seem a little on edge," he said simply.

"Heh, really?" I rolled my eyes sarcastically.

"I mean more than normal, shithead," Classic said snarkily.

"Geez, calm down," I told him, backing off, "Yeah, I'm a bit off but what's it matter ta you?"

"Look, if it's your bro you can tell me-"

I rounded on him, eye flaring dangerously, "It's none of your goddam business!"

He looked a bit hurt but I didn't care. I was too angry at all of the damn 'nice-guys' at this stupid party. I pushed my way past him, heading for the exit. Ten feet from the door and a hand grabbed my collar. I gulped, turning around to face Boss.

"Where do you think you're going, Sans?" he growled, lifting me up slightly. Not enough for people to notice, except maybe a few who were already watching.

"J-just g-getting some air, B-Boss," I stammered. Boss narrowed his eyes at me, a slight snarl on his face.

"Don't leave without me," he growled, tossing me slightly so I stumbled as I nodded furiously.

"W-wouldn't dream o-of it, Boss," I said, flashing him a shaky grin. My whole body trembled as he glared at me. He mouthed 'I'm watching you' and walked away. I let out a shaky breath, turning from my trek for the exit to head for the wall and stick to it until I left. With Boss...

(Stretch)

My eyes narrowed at Fell Pap's poor, cruel treatment of his brother. It pissed me off to the extreme to see any Sans tremble like that, let alone because of his own brother.

Flicking my cigarette out, I snuck up next to Red so he wouldn't sense me. He was so shaken after his encounter with his brother even his vigilance suffered. He didn't notice me approach until I laid a hand on his shoulder. He jumped violently and whipped around, panting in panic slightly. He looked extremely relieved to see me, though he tried to seem snarky at me.

"What d'ya want, Stretch?" he growled, looking away from my face.

"Saw what happened with your bro," I said, my voice low, "Was he threatening you again?"

"'S nonaya business," he mumbled, crossing his arms angrily. Though to me it looked more like he was hugging himself. His body still trembled slightly from his 'Boss's' rough treatment.

I sighed, patting his arm lightly before turning. It is now...

(Red)

Can't believe he snuck up on me... NO ONE sneaks up on me... I stared at the ground, feeling a little lonely when Stretch left. I wanted to be near someone nice, but it was so annoying how everyone here had to be concerned about me. I might want to be near a nice person, but only if they didn't give a crap about my life.

It'd be easier for everyone if no one gave a damn about my pathetic life...

(Stretch)

"Hey, Fell," I said shortly, glaring at Fell Paps. He turned, looking down at me.

"What do you want?" he said gruffly.

"I wanna know why your bro is so upset," I informed him, pulling out a cigarette to calm myself.

Fell scoffed, looking down at me with distaste, "It's none of your business what I discuss with my Sans."

"It is when he's at my party," I replied in the same growling tone he used. Fell rolled his eyes at me.

"What do you expect to do about it?" he asked haughtily, "Even if I told you, there's nothing you can do or say about it."

"I'm takin' him home with me," I told him. Fell looked aghast, glaring at me.

"You aren't going anywhere with him," he growled, his fists shaking.

"Watch me," I turned on my heel to head back to Red. A hand grabbed my shoulder.

"Touch him at all and you'll regret it," Fell growled, his fingers digging into my shoulder. I shrugged him off, scoffing at him.

"Good luck with stopping me, Fell."

"Stretch, don't you dare..."

"Piss off, Fell."

(Red)

I looked up at Stretch's reappearance. He looked a little angry, but he grabbed my shoulder gently and leaned down so we were level.

"You're coming home with me, Red. Now."

"What? Now? Why?" I asked hurriedly, standing straighter from my slouched position against the wall.

"'Cause I'm not gonna let you spend the holidays with your brother," he said roughly, "Not if he's threatening you again."

I was mildly touched by his concern, but mostly annoyed. I tried to take my arm back but he held on firmly, "Look, Stretch, there ain't nothin' you can do 'bout me and Boss-"

"I can make sure you're safe until the holidays are over. I won't let you get hurt, not this time."

"Stretch, it's nothin' I can't handle-"

"You don't need ta handle it, Red," he said. He sounded truly concerned and I paused my fidgeting. "You don't need ta handle it alone..."

"Stretch, I-"

"Please, just come home with me for a bit, Red?" his eyes pleaded with mine. I really, really wanted to take his offer but I was so scared of Boss...If he found out I left with another Papyrus...I shuddered at the thought and the look of concern in Stretch's eyes only grew.

"Don't make me beg, Red," Stretch said softly. I sighed, glancing at Boss. His back was turned and he wouldn't see me leave. I gave Stretch a little grin.

"Alright, I'll stick wi' ya for a while," I told him and he smiled, "But only if ya quit givin' a shit 'bout my stupid life."

"I'll try..."
