Cold wind blew against your skin. You shivered a bit but started walking. Melody walked beside you holding onto your arm. ahead of you was a snowy forest. How it snowed under ground, you will never know. You walked and saw a stick on the ground. You hopped over it joyfully while Melody just stepped over it. You two walk farther and hear the stick snap. You and Melody twist around and saw no one.

"Hello? Is there anyone there?" You asked. Your feelings told you that whoever was there was good. You softly reassure Melody. You both turn back around and kept walking. You got to a gate thing when you heard footsteps. You both stopped in your tracks.

Once the footsteps stopped, the person talked. "humans... don't you know how to greet a new pal? turn around and shake my hand." A male voice said. You recognized the voice. It was the guy that would tell jokes to Toriel in the middle of the night. 

You quickly turned around and shook the monster's hand. Suddenly, you felt your hand slightly vibrate and a loud fart noise was produced. You and the monster burst out in laughter. Melody giggled a little bit. You looked up at the monster. He was a skeleton with a cartoonish smile. He wore a blue jacket that had a white fluffy hood. He had black shorts with a white stripe down the side. He also had pink slippers on. 

"the old whoopee cushion in the hand trick. it's always funny. anyway, the name is sans. what's your names?" The skeleton asked.

"I'm (Y/n) and this is Melody. Hey, at least you can finally put faces to those names." You said with a small chuckle.

"what do you mean kid?" Sans asked.

"Don't tell Mom but I've been sneaking down and listening to your jokes and conversations." You replied with confidence.

"wow, eavesdrop much? heh, so i'm guessing you know about my brother huh?" Sans asked.

"Yeah, his name was...Papyrus...right?" You said trying to remember. Sans talked about his brother only a few times. Of course Melody knows about the skeleton brothers because you have told her what Toriel and Sans always talked about.

"heh, yep, that's him. oh look, speak of the devil." Sans said pointing to a taller skeleton approaching.

"i doubt he has noticed you two. here, go through this gate thing and hide behind the sentry station." Sans suggested. Sans led you two to the sentry station. You and Melody ducked down right before Papyrus showed up.

"BROTHER! OF COURSE I COME TO CHECK ON YOU AND YOU ARE DOING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE ON PATROL FOR HUMANS SANS! IF WE FIND A HUMAN, I WILL FINALLY BE A PART OF THE ROYAL GUARD! NYEH HEH HEH!" You heard the taller skeleton say.

"oh come on bro, i've done a ton of work today! a skele-ton!" Sans said. You could barely keep from laughing.

"OH MY GOD SANS! I HAVE TOLD YOU A MILLION TIMES, I DON'T WANT TO HERE YOUR STUPID JOKES!" Papyrus said. You heard footsteps getting softer. 

"alright, he's gone. say, it would make his day to see some humans. he has seen one before but it would make his day if he found two at the same time. and don't worry, he's just a big goof, he wouldn't be able to hurt anyone." Sans suggested.

"That sounds like fun. And I know he's not gonna hurt anyone. My 'feelings tell me he is a good person." You said.

"heh, yeah. well i'll see you two up ahead. see ya!" Sans said. Sans walked in the direction that his brother went. 

"His brother seems like a really fun person." Melody said as we started to walk forward.

"Are you gonna flirt with him too?" You teased.

"Maybe..." Melody said giggling. You kept walking until you saw the skeleton brothers talking to each other. You stopped a few meters away. You got a better look at Papyrus. He looked to be about 6 foot tall. He had a strange outfit on that showed his spine but hid his ribs and pelvis. He had a long red scarf around his neck. He wore red gloves and and red boots.

Papyrus noticed you and Melody. He gasped and looked back and forth between you, Melody, and Sans.

"SANS! OH MY GOD THOSE ARE HUMANS! TWO HUMANS SANS!" Papyrus yelled. You and Melody giggled.

"HUMANS! I SHALL CAPTURE YOU! ONCE I GIVE YOU TO UNDYNE, I WILL BECOME A PART OF THE ROYAL GUARD! I WILL FINALLY REACH MY LIFE GOAL! PREPARE FOR PUZZLES!" Papyrus said excitedly. Papyrus ran off somewhere.

"heh, isn't my brother cool?" Sans asked.

"He's kind of cute." Melody said.

"Woah Mel, you're being more talkative than usual. What's gotten into you?" You asked giggling.

"I feel more comfortable talking to monsters than humans. Besides, I have your 'feelings' to inform me who it is safe to talk to." Melody said.

"wait... did you just say my brother was cute?" Sans asked.

"Yes, yes she did Sans. She is quite the flirty type too. So when we go and fight your brother, she's most likely going to flirt with him." You said winking.

"Most likely? No I'm going to flirt with him. After what happened with the dummy, i want to see his reaction." Melody said.

"your mom told me about that! just don't break my brother's heart. if you do..." Sans's 'pupils' went black. "your going to have a bad time."

"Woah calm down! I'm not going to break his heart! Besides, I doubt he is going to fall in love with me. I'm not the prettiest person." Melody said looking away.

"Mel, your WAY prettier than me, it would be hard NOT falling in love with you." You said. That seemed to cheer Melody up.

"well, you better not keep my brother waiting. just don't hurt him." Sans said. Suddenly, Sans disappeared. You and Melody looked at each other in confusion but just shrugged it off.

You and Melody continued onward. There were more puzzles than you expected but they were really easy. You even encountered some monsters. Melody kept wanting to flirt with them. There were only two monsters Melody didn't flirt with. Those monsters were dogs. One was named Greater Dog. The other was Lesser Dog.

Lesser dog was...interesting. His head would grow each time you pet it. After a while, of Lesser Dog's head growing up to the sky, it kept going...but the top of his head was coming back. Once the dog's head got back to you, it kept going to the ground and went around on the ground. You decided to leave after a while.

After more puzzles and monsters you got to a cute town named Snowdin. You could just imagine all the puns Sans would make about the name. Once you got to the end of the town, you stopped.

"This is going to be harder than we thought." You explained.
