Chapter 7
"You're going to need a weapon if you want to survive in here," Satsuki smiled. "You can borrow mine for the time being!"
"Oh," Tsuki's eyes widened. "Thanks! Sounds good to me. Just.. where can I get my weapon..? No offense, but unless you deal with an axe-"
"An axe?" Saiko muttered, surprised. "You know how to deal with a weapon before coming here?"
"Yeah, of course," Tsuki replied. "I was a lumberjack before coming here. Graduated school at fifteen, like most folks. I'm glad I do what I do. It was fun!"
"Well, I hate to break it to you, but you aren't ever going back to that," Saiko responded bluntly. "You'll have to get used to life here."
"Yeah, well, that's also not too much of a bad thing," Tsuki looked away. "My... never mind."
"We'll welcome you here!" Satsuki grinned. "We can show you around, explain things... this is going to be so much fun! Hehe, I'm so excited. I haven't seen anyone else in so long, you're the first nice person I've met besides mum, dad, and Saiko!"
"You're ten... that's sad," Tsuki told her. "You've been missing out! People are wonderful. The experiences you gain, the people you meet... everyone has a different personality! It's so cool."
"Wow! I hope I'm able to meet more and more people!"
"Don't get her hopes up," Saiko shook her head. "You already saw what some people are like. Some people are just rude and only wish to better themselves. It's better to just isolate yourself so you don't get hurt-"
"Ignore Saiko!" Satsuki interrupted. "She has those thoughts implanted in her from the computer! She's never had any human experience!"
"Ignore me!?" Saiko narrowed her eyes. "I was also given the thoughts of 'love Rosalina and Mario' but I hate them! You have no idea what they're doing. You're innocent. Pure. You'll see soon. This world isn't as great as you think it is. These people are going to be your downfall."
With that, Saiko stormed out of the room, locking the two of them in there without a second thought. She didn't even realize that Satsuki had no way out.
"She's wrong," Tsuki said after a moment of silence. "Sure, there is people like that. Of course there are. People that are rude and manipulative... but isolating yourself will never lead to happiness. You can't be happy alone... you need others to help you. Maybe some people can find 'happiness' alone, but no activity can ever generate happiness forever... there's no happiness with being alone."
"Yeah... I think you're right," Satsuki nodded. "Some people just don't understand... and Saiko's been given those feelings from the screen, whether she wants to admit it or not. She's been able to judge mom and dad from her own thoughts, but not others. I believe in people!"
"Hehe. You two are so different from each other," Tsuki smiled. "You're so innocent and empathetic, and she's so... cold and pessimistic. It's funny... you guys look like it should be flip-flopped. And yet.."
"Do I look mean?" Satsuki questioned. "I didn't mean to! I can't change my-"
"Haha! I didn't mean like that," Tsuki giggled. "Your eyes, I mean. You don't have... well, pupils... and red normally signifies evil. She does, and blue signifies peace. But it's switched. I just think that's pretty cool. Looks can be misleading!"
"Ahah! Yup!" Satsuki smiled. "We're very different, but that's what I like about us!"
"Yes, you definitely are! There's nothing not to like about you."
"Thanks! Well, I should probably get going now. It was nice to meet you!"
"You as well!"
Satsuki went to the door, but when she went to open it, it remained locked.
"Uh... Saiko locked me in here," Satsuki shrugged. "So I guess I'll be with you for now!"
"No complaints here," Tsuki grinned. "None at all."
"Well, while I'm here, I should explain everything that happens here..."

Saiko may have thought that locking Satsuki in with Tsuki was a punishment, but Satsuki had a lot of fun. She explained everything to Tsuki, and the two talked as if they'd talked a million times before.
It seemed that now that Satsuki had met another person, Satsuki was spending all her time with Tsuki. She hated to admit it, but Saiko was... well, a little bit jealous.
Not of Tsuki. Satsuki wouldn't ever be jealous of her. But she was jealous of the time she was spending with Satsuki. Maybe Saiko was getting a bit too clingy, but she missed her friend. They'd always relied on each other, and now that Satsuki had someone else... Saiko didn't know what to do.
She knew she shouldn't feel like this, but she couldn't help it.
Why was this messing her up so badly?
Hey everyone! Hope you're enjoying. It's weird to refer to her as Satsuki in here, and Kaira in Insanity. Messing me up a lil bit, whoops.
Thanks for reading!
