Chapter 6

There were new people at the Comet Observatory.

"Saiko! There's- there's-" The now ten year old redhead pointed to the people walking towards Rosalina. "Wh-what if they don't like me? What if I- Saiko, what if they hate me?"

"They won't hate you," Saiko replied. "And even if they do, just do what you do best and slice open their throat. They didn't give you those weapons for nothing."

"Why would I want to hurt someone on purpose?" Satsuki asked, confused. "That's mean. I don't want to be mean."

"Well, if they're trying to hurt you, don't you want to defend yourself?" Saiko replied. "You need some sort of defense."

"If you say so.."

The two girls watched the incoming prisoners. A girl with short blue hair, a boy with green hair, a woman with brown. It didn't matter- they all had one thing in common. None of them wanted to be there.

Rosalina was talking to the three, but Satsuki and Saiko couldn't hear what she was saying from the distance between them. Mario placed his hands on their shoulders, startling Satsuki, who didn't know he was there.

"Sorry," Mario apologized. "They'll be joining us. They'll be in the cells around you. Saiko, i need you to go make sure the doors are locked. I'm giving you the key to all the rooms, so if you want to unlock them to talk to them, feel free. Just make sure to lock them after and don't let the others out. Got it?"

"Mm-Hmm."

Saiko felt a rush of joy from being chosen instead of Satsuki. She knew it was selfish, but part of her was excited from the recognition.

Finally.

Saiko was handed the key, and the two girls went off on their way.

"So, who should we visit?" Satsuki questioned. "How many keys are on there?"

"Three. For all the prisoners, I'm assuming."

"Let's go to all of them!" Satsuki smiled. "We can make friends!"

"Sure."

"Oh great, it's what I hate most," The green haired boy sneered. "Children."

"You're a child too," Saiko countered. "About the same age as us, by the looks of it."

"So? Doesn't make me hate you any less."

"Come on, Satsuki, this one's a jerk," Saiko responded. "I'm sure we can find someone better."

"Oh? You think so highly of yourself?" The boy laughed. "You're insane."

"What? Why are we insane?" Satsuki questioned. "For wanting to make a friend?"

"Well, I don't want to be your friend."

Saiko was already halfway out the door, with Satsuki still trying to reason with the boy.

"But why wouldn't you want to-"

"I said I don't want to!" The boy snapped. He roughly grabbed the girl's hair, and grabbing the sword provided to him, held it to her throat. "Leave me alone."

Saiko glared daggers at the boy, but didn't make a move in fear the boy would slice her throat. Satsuki's eyes widened, her fingers desperately trying to claw the sword away from her.

"W-we'll leave, I'm sorry-"

He thrust the girl out of his hands, but not before he grabbed the ends of her hair and sliced it off. She gasped as red locks fell to the ground, and she burst into tears. She ran to Saiko's open arms, as Saiko slammed the door.

"There, there," Saiko comforted. "You're gonna be okay. Hair grows back. You'll be fine."

"He was so mean," Satsuki sobbed. "How could anyone be so-"

"I know," Saiko patted her back softly. "It's alright. It'll be alright."

"I don't want to visit the rest of the people," Satsuki wiped her tears away. "They're gonna be mean like him. I don't wanna- Saiko... I don't wanna go."

"I know, but we have to go make sure the cells are locked. You can head back if you want."

"N-no, I'll be fine," Satsuki sighed. "I wouldn't ever ditch you, even if he was a big meanie."

"Alright. Hopefully we'll find someone better."

The door opened to the brown haired female, who was sleeping in the bed. Saiko closed it again, locking it.

"Let's not wake her."

The last cell opened, revealing the bright bluenette. She was sitting on her cot, looking at the two intruders.

"Hi?" The girl waved. "Need something..?"

Satsuki's eyes brightened.

"Yes! She's nice!"

"Might as well," The sixteen year old shrugged. "I've gotta make friends in this place. It can't be bad as long as I have someone. I could really use an explanation of what's happening, though."

"Oh! Well I'm happy to explain!" Satsuki grinned. "By the way, I'm Satsuki. This is Saiko!"

"Nice to meet you," The girl smiled. "My name is Tsuki."

Hey everyone! I hope you enjoyed the chapter. Satsuki's hair goes through like five million changes and then Saiko's just stays practically the same XD
