Chapter 2
A year later
"Daddy, I'm bored," Satsuki complained, plopping down into a seat next to the two. "Entertain me."
"I've got things to do," Mario laughed. "Why don't you go train, or read, or something?"
"I could read a story to you," Rosalina offered.
"But... I want someone else I can talk to," Satsuki told them. "Like a... a friend. That's what they're called, right?"
Mario and Rosalina exchanged glances.
"I don't know if we can do that," Rosalina replied gently. "I don't-"
"But... I'm so lonely."
Rosalina looked at Mario once more, and nodded.
"Maybe we can get you a friend," Mario responded. "We'll have to think it over."
"Okay!"

It hurts.
It hurts so much.
Whatever this is..
"Rosalina, come look! It worked!"
"It did? Oh, thank goodness!"
The couple hurried over to look at the child Mario had produced out of his scientific research and experimenting. Of course.. there'd been many failures. Many, well, failed attempts at children. But this one, out of many, had been produced. And as far as they could tell, the child looked pretty normal for coming out of a tube.
It had long blue hair and electric blue eyes. It was a four year old female, and to be quite sure, Rosalina had no idea how Mario managed to produce someone who looked four.
"What do you think we should call her?" Rosalina questioned.
"I have.. no idea."

"This woman was very lonely... she was said to have no emotion. She was called a psycho for it, for being so emotionless that she didn't care about anyone."
"What's emoe...emotionless mean?"
"When you don't have feelings," Rosalina clarified. "Mm-Hmm."
"And what's a... a... psy..psyc.."
"A psycho?" Rosalina chuckled. "Well, normally it's someone who's insane, but in his case, it's for someone who's emotionless and has no feelings towards anyone."
"Oh! I see... but what's insane mean?"
Satsuki had been reading a book with Rosalina when Mario called her over.
"Satsuki! Come meet someone!" Mario yelled excitedly. "She'll be your...friend, y'know!"
"What!?" Satsuki jumped up in giddiness. "This'll have to wait till later, okay momma?"
"Yup, go on!"
Satsuki sprinted to her father, Rosalina following behind her.
There stood a bluenette with a blank stare on her face. She had a birthmark in the form of a raindrop on her forehead. Her electric blue eyes stared directly in front of her, and she didn't seem to notice Satsuki being there.
"Uh... hi!" Satsuki greeted awkwardly, but the girl didn't even acknowledge her. "Oh... um."
"Mario, why don't you introduce them?" Rosalina called.
"Right. Satsuki, this is... er, your friend. And that's Satsuki."
"Whats her name?"
"She.. doesn't have one," Mario replied. "Whoops."
"Hmm..."
The bluenette stared at the wall, refusing to answer or listen to Satsuki.
"Oh, how about... the thing Momma was reading to me about?" Satsuki suggested. "A... a Saiko!"
"A psycho?" Mario laughed. "I mean.."
"Yeah! That! S-a-i-k-o," Satsuki spelled. "That's how it's spelt, right?"
"Er... not exactly," Rosalina smiled. "But I like the name. Saiko... it's unique."
"Woohoo! I did it!" Satsuki grinned, and poked Saiko on the nose. "Hehe!"
It was only then that Saiko locked eyes with the redhead, glaring daggers at her as she swatted her hand away.
"Do not touch."

"Mommy, how come she's so boring?" Satsuki sighed. "Saiko never wants to talk to me."
"Well, it just might take her awhile, sweetheart. She was just born. She's never had to socialize before."
"That's true... I guess," Satsuki sighed. "But... I was so excited to have a friend. And she doesn't like me."
"She'll like you, whats not to like?" Rosalina smiled. "Don't worry about it. Honestly."
"Okay," Satsuki sighed in disappointment. "Can we finish that book now?"

Unlike Satsuki's purple and elegant room, Saiko's was bland and boring. Her walls were a light blue color with the paint peeling and her bed was nothing fancy. It didn't matter to her, though. Why would she care?
"Hey, Saiko," Rosalina greeted gently, which Saiko responded with a cold stare. She didn't like the woman who pretended to be so caring for her. No one could care for her. "How are you doing?"
"I'm fine."
"I promise we'll make this room a little more presentable, promise," Rosalina nodded to herself. "Does that sound alright?"
"Sure," Saiko replied coldly.
"Oh..." Rosalina looked away, upset by how Saiko was receiving her. "Well... Mario wanted me to explain to you that soon you'll have to fight."
"I'm aware, and I know how," Saiko reminded her. "Do you have a scythe you can provide to me?"
"Y-yes. Here you go."
Saiko took the scythe, admiring it.
"Thank you," Saiko replied coldly.
"No problem at all."
Rosalina left the room, leaving the child alone. Saiko frowned as she ran her hand through her hair.
"The scythe's dirty."
Hey everyone! I hope you all enjoyed the chapter :)
It's weird to write Saiko like this 0_0
Thanks for reading!
