Yang Jungwon, The Valiant

The young boy never backed down from a fight or to simply voice his opinions. Little did he know, his courage would inspire the whole of his race. He was determined, & with good reason.

From the beginning...

Jungwon walked the woods near his home. It wasn't inherently dark, nor as creepy as most would expect. There was a light breeze which resulted in Jungwon zipping up his jacket.

"혼자 밖에서 돌아다닌다고요? 현명한 처사가 아니다, 꼬마야." (Wandering outside alone ? Not a smart move, little one.) A mysterious voice called out. Jungwon was absolutely unprepared. "Who are you ? What do you want ?" The voice drew closer, but was still concealed within the shadows. 

"I'm hungry, little one. Insatiably hungry." Jungwon was confused as he peered into the darkness, trying to find whoever was speaking with him. He gulped nervously, "H-hungry for w-what exactly ?"

The air suddenly seemed to drop in temperature & Jungwon had several chills run through his body. "피요. 피가 너무 고파요." (Blood. I am hungry for blood.)

The conversation went quiet. The wind & rustling of leaves were all that could be heard. Jungwon clutched his heart as it began to beat faster. 

Jungwon soon was a withering mess as he curled in the fetal position on the ground. He was bitten...

A few days later, Jungwon woke up in the true grace of darkness, his death. Eyes now a blood red, no warmth radiated from his body, teeth now sharpened, & an insatiable hunger over took him. What was his plan now ? Kill the very thing that killed him. A vampire.
