Jake was a kind soul. He was like the embodiment of serotonin. Jake tended to put people in a great mood with a single smile in their direction. It wowed people to believe he could be so happy-go-lucky as a vampire. However, he wasn't always a vampire...

From the beginning...

Jake had just made it to the vet hospital he worked part-time at. He absolutely loved animals. Especially dogs. It was conflicting for many to under stand when they came to know him as a vampire. How does he work in a place full of animals, but never feeds ?

One of the other part-timers arrived at the same time as Jake. "오, 재윤 선배! 안영하세요!" (Oh, Jaeyun sunbae ! Annyeonghaseyo !) Jake gave a bright smile. He was elated that no one at the vet had found out he was a vampire. "You're here early. What's up ?"

The part-timer sighed. "I added two hours to my shift. I need to save for a trip I plan to take with some friends." Jake smiled, "Sounds fun."  A few customers came into the vet. Jake took the customer that seemed off. A loner ?? "Hello, what kind of pet are you looking for ?"  The mysterious customer smirked. "당신은요? 동물들과 함께 있는 것을 즐기는 것 같네요." (What about you ? You seem to enjoy the company of animals.) 

Jake immediately felt a chill run down his spine. "I do enjoy working here. Why do you ask ?"  There were farther from any other part-timers or customers. "You'll be a fitting snack for now..." Not much else was said before Jake was hushed & a pair of fangs sunk deep into his neck. 

It was all a blur. No one practically had seen what was happening to Jake. Before long he woke up in the woods, close enough to the main road. An insatiable hunger burned his throat from the inside out. Carcasses of a few deer were near him.

He somehow got to the nearest lake. The water so clear enough he could see his reflection. He looked ragged & unruly, as well as covered in blood. Jake finally noticed his teeth. He now had sharp dignified fangs. He knew exactly what he was. A vampire. 

A threat to everything he once enjoyed...
