3.9 | Alien Possession

Capítulo IX- Poseído por Extraterrestre

Chase sprinted up the driveway, bursting through the front door. One would think catching up to Principal Perry would be easy, but with her long run in different career paths, she managed to escape the paws of a grown man, two 'normal' teens, and two bionic teens.

Chase halted behind the couch as Perry stood on the other end, "Leave me alone!" he shouted.

Perry held her hands up, "I'm not gonna hurt you. I'm just gonna split you open and destroy the alien babies inside you!"

"No!"

Mr. Davenport got a hold of Perry and stood in front of her. Adam gripped her biceps and Bree was beside them. Leo and Patience panted in front of Chase, keeping guard. Mr. Davenport lowered himself to Perry's level, "Chase was not infected by an alien. Settle down, Captain Kirk."

Adam let go of her, thinking she had calmed down. "Hey, I've been around enough truck stops at 3 am to know when something weird's going on. And trust me, there's a bunch of E.T's living in his little boy guts!" she lunged at Chase.

Perry wrapped her arms around a screaming Chase. Adam and Bree pulled on Perry while Leo and Patience held onto Chase, pulling against them. "I don't know what's more shocking, Perry thinking Chase is an alien, or two bionic people struggling to subdue her," Bree struggled.

Finally, they ripped them apart and Perry teetered ten feet away while they kept Chase around them. "What if Chase really did get taken over by aliens? They're gonna say 'take me to your leader,' but he is our leader. This is so confusing!" Adam placed his hands on his head.

"Stop it. Okay, you're being ridiculous. No one is an alien. Everything's fine," Mr. Davenport reassured.

Leo's eyes flickered to Perry. He elbowed Patience and her mouth slightly opened. A green goop slithered out of her ears, traveling to her jacket. "Then why is that green stuff oozing out of her ears?" Leo pointed at Perry

Patience inquired, "What is that?"

Perry wiped her hands across her cheek, smearing the gree substance. She checked her hands, nervously answering, "It's probably just another ear infection from that robust lake bacteria. Every Sunday, me and the gals go bare-handed trout wrangling."

"Ew, it's dripping all over the floor," Chase cringed.

"I wanna lick it," Adam stuck his tongue out. Everyone beside Perry grasped Adam, forcing him back to his spot.

Mr. Davenport crouched in front of Perry, "Principal Perry?"

"Uh-huh?"

"I'm very concerned about you... making a mess in my house. Out. Let's go," Mr. Davenport led her out.

"I'm fine." Perry spun on her heel and in a demonic voice she shouted, "This planet is ours now!" Mr. Davenport jumped back.

Bree faltered, "That's probably the bacteria talking."

A thin green goop seeped out of Perry's mouth. Their faces were scattered between disgust and fear, leaning back from Perry. "Everybody calm down. There is no such thing as aliens," Mr. Davenport repeated.

Perry roared and a strong gust of wind blew at their face. Patience's hair flared back and fell against her back. Mr. Davenport's knees buckled and collapsed on the couch next to him.

Patience hid behind the couch with Adam, Bree, and Chase. Mr. Davenport and Leo were beside them, standing as Alien Perry slowly paced back and forth speaking in an alien language. "Got a scientific explanation for that?" Leo asked Davenport.

"Well, it is cold and flu season."

Alien Perry opened her mouth and Adam, Bree, Chase, Leo, and Patience screamed as its long tongue wiggled out. The thick tongue covered in green slime licked Mr. Davenport's face. Bree retorted, "Still think it's a cold."

"No, I'm on board. She's an alien."

"My spawn will wipe out humankind!" the alien threatened.

She shook and Principal Perry smiled at the group, "Hey, why is everybody staring at me?"

"Well, um you kinda have- you have a little something everywhere," Patience motioned to the patches of green slime coated on Perry's face, neck, and jacket.

Chase spoke quietly, "Okay, obviously, Principal Perry has been taken over by an alien. She doesn't realize that it's wrestling for control of her body."

Adam made a face, "Wow, the aliens want her? Man, how bad are things on that planet?"

"I'm starvin'. Feel like I'm eatin' for six," Perry held her stomach. She turned around to search the fridge.

"She's eating for six. She's gonna have alien babies. I don't want to see that!" Mr. Davenport panicked looking between Bree and Leo, "Don't make me see that!"

Perry shook again and the alien possessing her growled, searching through the fridge. "Uh, family meeting!" Chase called.

The group gathered near the front door and Mr. Davenport fretted, "This is bad. This is really, really bad. What do we do!"

"Well, I guess we could check PANICKING OFF THE LIST!" Leo yelled.

"Okay! All right, we need to subdue Perry until we can find a way to get the alien out," Chase planned.

The alien roared and threw the pizza behind herself. She chewed off a piece of the pizza box and spit it out, repeating the same cycle. "Okay, I'm pretty sure the alien wants out of her, too. It cannot be good in there!" Bree shook her head.

"Aliens exist," Mr. Davenport glanced down at his hands, "Everything I know about the universe is wrong. If I can't trust science, I don't even know what's real anymore. Am I even good-looking?"

Patience furrowed her eyebrows. She turned back to Alien Perry and yelpt, "Oh my gosh." Sections of Perry's face were scaley and rough and her hair was a mess. Mr. Davenport, Adam, Bree, Chase, Leo, and Patience screamed at the woman's appearance.

"All right, we have to get her down to the lab and get her trapped in a capsule! Maybe then we can find a way to save her," Chase suggested.

"Wait. If aliens and Perry are wrestling for control of her body, maybe Perry'll win," Adam reminded.

Alien Perry ripped off a piece of Tasha's plates and spat it out. Leo's nostrils flared, "Does it look like she's winning?"

"We have to lead Perry into the lab with the plates, but who's gonna do it?" Patience asked.

Everyone's eyes drifted to Adam and he scoffed, "Why do I have to do it?"

Leo's eyebrows rose, gesturing to Adam, "You're the one with super strength."

Adam tilted his head back and groaned. He gradually proceeded towards Alien Perry and Mr. Davenport said, "Wait!" Adam stopped and turned to him. "Let us get a head start first."

Mr. Davenport, Bree, and Chase tip-toed away. Leo withdrew his phone from his pocket and Patience whispered, "What are you doing?"

"I need to get a close-up. I'll meet you guys down at the lab."

Patience didn't find a motive to argue with him. Scolding him to force him to the lab was only going to cause a small fight. "Fine, but I'm staying just in case."

Leo quietly narrated the scene, "We observe Adam luring the alien to the lab with our dining plates as we gently walk to keep the alien undisturbed."

Patience's eyes averted from Alien Perry to the camera, "Once we trap her in the capsule, everything is gonna be okay."

"Come on. Come girl," Adam cooed at the alien. She munched on the plate and Leo and Patience opened the lab doors for the four of them.

Leo and Patience had their backs pressed against the elevator wall as he recorded. When Adam and Alien Perry entered the elevator, Patience hit the button to the lab. They zipped down and the doors opened.

Leo and Patience were the first out, tip-toeing backward. Leo held his phone up still recording. "Come on, girl, come on," Adam lured her, she bit a piece of the plate off and reached for another. "Eh-eh-eh. No, no, dessert plates till you finish your dinner plates." She grabbed the correct plate. "Oh, good girl."

Chase motioned to the capsule, "Come on, Adam, lead her right into the capsule, keep going."

"We watch in wonder as the alien devours the last of my mother's wedding china," Leo narrated.

Alien Perry bit another piece and she aggressively shook in her spot. She spat the bone china out and bewildered, she glanced around the room, "Hey, why am I eatin' a plate?" Her left hand touched her face, "What's goin' on with my skin?"

Patience stuttered, "Uh, It's-"

"It's clearin' up."

Adam, Bree, Chase, Leo, and Patience grouped up. Adam said, "She's back to normal Perry, what do we do now?"

"Hey," Chase advanced to Mr. Davenport. He secured himself in the small base Perry built. " You got anything, Mr. Davenport?"

He didn't make eye contact with any of the teenagers. He stared off hugging the bottom of the makeshift window. Mr. Davenport quavered, "It licked me. It licked me!"

Leo pointed the camera at Mr. Davenport, "They say a crisis brings out the best in people. This is not one of those people."

"Hey, guys," Bree captured their attention, "if Principal Perry thinks that Chase is the alien, why don't we just use him as bait to trap her in one of the capsules?"

"That's a great idea," Patience smiled. "Chase, can you act like an alien?"

"I don't know how to act like an alien."

"Could you try?"

Chase sighed. He rose his shoulders, squeezing them together, and made gushing noises. "That's a zombie," Bree corrected.

Chase stopped and made hissing noises. "That's a vampire," Adam critiqued.

Chase bent back and wavered his arms, making gushing noises again. "That's you," deadpanned Bree.

He paused and stared at his siblings annoyed. "Here, just do whatever Alien Perry was doing. That should be convincing enough," Patience told Chase. He shook wavering his arms around, mixing 'himself' and Alien Perry's performance.

Adam, Bree, and Patience walked over to Perry on Leo's desk. Bree placed her hands on the desk, "Principal Perry, you were right! Chase is an alien! Help us get him into his capsule so that we can destroy him!"

Perry shot up and hurried to Chase, "Go, shoo, shoo!" Chase hopped to Adam's capsule as Perry motioned for him to go.

Chase cut his act and slumped his shoulders, "All right, I'm in my capsule. Ready to be incinerated."

"Great. I'll finish off Chase, then we'll deal with the alien."

Bree and Patience grasped onto Adam's arms, muttering, "No!"

"The on switch is in that capsule. I'd push it, but ladies first," Leo offered. Perry blankly stared at him. "You. You push it."

"Oh!" Perry strutted to Chase's capsule.

"We got her!"

Perry shook and Alien Perry's reptile-like hand grabbed Leo's wrist, "Not so fast." Leo screamed, retracting his hand from her.

She shook again and Perry wiped her forehead, "Woo, it's hot in here." She yelled spotting her hand, "What is that?"

"Oh, come on. Have you not figured it out yet? There's a plate-eating alien inside you!" Adam told her. Bree smacked Adam and Patience nudged him.

Perry punched her stomach, "No. Get it out, get it out!"

Alien Perry pushed her own hand away, "Leave it in, leave it in!"

Perry stumbled, fighting against the alien hand, "No, no, don't worry. I can fight it off. When you have as many diseases as I have, you build up a lot of immunities." She tumbled to the ground screaming.

Patience knitted her eyebrows, scooting back. Adam sighed, "Guys, we're getting nowhere."

"What's your bright idea?" Chase questioned.

"I don't know. Maybe if I hit her hard enough, the alien will just pop right out."

Patience's mouth twisted, "I don't know, Adam. I mean she's still Perry,"

Bree agreed, "Yeah, don't you think that's a little extreme?"

Alien Perry rose and her thick green hand pointed at Bree, "Must multiply and conquer earth. Large forehead girl goes down first!"

Offended, Bree demanded, "What are you waiting for? Punch her!"

Adam set the one plate left on the table. He brought his right hand back, charging at the alien. He threw a punch but Alien Perry stopped it with her fist and pushed him back. Adam winced, retreating.

Mr. Davenport left his small base, "It's stronger than Adam! We're all goners!" He shouted, exiting the lab.

Chase nonchalantly questioned, "Any other bright ideas?"

Alien Perry roared at them. Leo Turned to Chase, "Tell you what. You guys discuss and us non-bionic people," he linked his arm with Patience, "got a thing." He hauled Patience with him. The group parted, running their separate ways.

Leo and Patience escaped through the lab's tunnel. Mr. Davenport was a few feet ahead of them and Chase's sneakers squeaked behind them. The four maneuvered to the upstairs of the house, bumping into Adam and Bree.

Alien Perry appeared from a random hall and Leo began recording again as the Alien chased them throughout the house. They entered through the great room and Adam yelled, "Guys, Wait!" Everyone stopped in their tracks. "Patience, our cooking show is on," He picked up the Tv remote.

"Adam!" Patience exclaimed. "Now is not the time!"

Alien Perry roared and Adam set the remote down, "You're right, I'll record it." He dropped the remote and continued running.

They ran up the stairs and parted ways in the different halls. It wasn't long before the teenagers regrouped once they got downstairs. Mr. Davenport had disappeared on them and they tried looking for him as they weaved around the mansion to lose Alien Perry as much they could. Unfortunately, they did bump into her a few times here and there, it was a whole Scooby-Doo chase.

They reached the lab and scrambled to the fort Principal Perry made about an hour and a half ago. Adam and Patience's heads poked out of the chair they ducked behind. Bree, Chase, and Leo looked out the fort's window. Mr. Davenport's scream echoed the tunnel as he sprinted into the lab.

He quieted down eyeing his kids and their best friend. "Will somebody please do something? Daddy's scared."

Chase stood up, "Would you quit being such a big baby?"

Alien Perry jump scared the teens. They turned their heads to the alien and screamed. In a line, they ran into the elevator, Patience hit the button for the art vault and Leo repeatedly pressed the 'close door' button. The doors shut before Alien Perry could enter.

They stepped out and Bree groaned, "Out of all the rooms he has, you picked this one?"

Patience shrugged, "It was either this or the weapons vault and with Leo and I in the room, I'd pick the paintings."

Leo wheezed, "I think we lost her for now."

"Great. Let's hop in the car and get out of here," Mr. Davenport began walking back to the elevator.

Chase placed his hand on his shoulder, "We can't. If that alien gets out in the general population, there's no stopping her. A lot of people will die."

"Yeah, but none of those people will be me."

"Well, what are we gonna do," Bree asked.

Adam rested his hands on his hips, "I don't know about you guys but I could use a breather."

Everyone's voices overlapped each other, nodding in agreement. Patience leaned against the wall, her heart pounded catching her breath. At the moment, she could've used a glass of water to ease her throat from running and screaming.

A couple of minutes had passed and Patience asked, "Do you think she stopped looking for us?"

"Well, there's only one way to find out," Leo hinted at Adam.

Adam furrowed his eyebrows, "Why do I always have to be the one to approach her?"

"Okay, how about let's all go," Patience proposed.

"Then when she comes after us, she won't be able to track us down if we split up," Bree backed Patience up.

Mr. Davenport cut in, "Do we all have to go because I'm doing just fine here?"

"Yes!" they shouted.

The group of six huddled in the elevator and took it down to the lab. The doors opened and their eyes widened at Alien Perry sleeping on the floor. They tip-toed out and stopped near her.

Chase whispered, "Chowing down on all those plates must've really tuckered her out. She's sleeping. Now's our chance to trap her."

"Good idea," Bree mumbled.

"I just wanna get one quick close-up," Leo snuck up to Perry, hitting record on his phone.

His family silently protested behind him, telling him to stop and get back to his spot:

"Leo, what are you doing!"

"Leo, no!"

"No!"

"No, no!"

"Stop!"

However, Leo didn't listen. "When the creature is at rest, it almost seems gentle-"

Adam cautioned, "Leo, be careful."

"Sh!" Leo hushed, "You'll wake her up."

Alien Perry's hand clutched onto Leo's shoulder and she wrapped her arms around him, dragging him with her as he screamed in terror.

"Stop her. We can't let her escape!" Chase pointed at Alien Perry.

Before they could get to her, Alien Perry threw up a green acidic substance. The puddle sizzled, melting through the tunnel's floor. "I'm filming my own demise!" Leo yelled as Alien Perry took him.

Patience ran up to the puddle and jumped over it. She waited for Adam, Bree, Chase, and Mr. Davenport. They took the other way by walking through the free small section between the acid and wall. Mr. Davenport didn't move, he stood in the lab glancing around the room.

"We're waiting!" Chase said, exasperated.

Mr. Davenport questioned, "Oh, so we're all going again?"

Adam, Bree, Chase, and Patience entered their high school, sneaking. They lost Mr. Davenport again, but Patience was sure he went somewhere to hide. Patience gasped at Leo's struggle against a green web sticking to the wall.

Chase questioned, "Leo, what are you doing?"

"You know, just chillin'," he calmly replied. "Hangin' out in an alien web, waiting for the alien eggs to hatch and eat me!" Leo remarked.

Bree glanced at the three giant eggs on the floor, "Where did those come from?"

"Well, it wasn't the Easter Bunny!" Alien Perry growled coming out of her office. Adam, Bree, Chase, and Patience hid behind a support beam. "Those things are gonna hatch and I'm dinner."

Adam corrected Leo, "No, dinner was hours ago. Technically, you'll be a midnight snack."

"Wait! Maybe we can keep her from multiplying." Chase directed, "Adam, use your heat vision to take out the pods."

Adam blasted the eggs and they burned to a crisp. The alien cried and rose its arms. The ceiling cracked open and a blue beam shot down. The alien spoke in their language to the ship above.

Mr. Davenport emerged from the recycling bin next to Patience, "The mothership must be able to sense danger. It's calling the alien home."

The alien vanished along with Principal Perry. The webbing tied around Leo disappeared, and he fell. "I'm free," he got up, painted with green slime.

Adam looked up at the broken ceiling, "Wow! I can't believe they took Perry."

Mr. Davenport's head leaned on his hand, "She's gone forever."

Leo shrugged, "Well, I'm sure we'll miss her someday."

Perry crashed to the floor and grunted. Patience skipped to the woman to check on her and furrowed her eyebrows at the paper clipped onto Perry's tracksuit, "They left a note, but it's in their language."

Chase kneeled next to Patience, "Here, I'll do my best to translate." Patience handed the note to him. He read, "'If this thing represents humankind, you can keep your planet. We're moving on to Mars.'"

Mr. Davenport nodded, amazed, "Wow! They really are a higher intelligence."

"Wow! They really are a higher intelligence."

The movie ended with the camera zooming out on the family, glancing up at the hole in the ceiling. The words 'THE END' appeared on the screen. Leo hit the space bar to pause it, "There you go, Bionic Family Versus Alien Principal. What do you think?"

Patience smiled, "Awesome job, Leo. That's gonna win against everyone else in the amateur sci-fi film festival."

Adam shrugged, "Perry as an alien, yes. Three bionic teens, I don't buy it." Patience and Bree looked at each other furrowing their eyebrows. Everyone sent Adam questioning looks.

Chase put up his pointer finger, "You know who really nailed it, though? Mr. Davenport. I totally believed you were scared.

"Well, I am quite the actor. But in real life, it's gonna take a lot more than some alien to scare me." Leo growled, startling the man with his prosthetic alien hand. Mr. Davenport yelpt, jumping out of his skin. Realizing it was a prop, he glared at Leo and the rest smiled at the duo.
