It was another morning when shekhawat came back from their trip. All servants came out and started placing the luggage in their respective rooms. Everyone move inside except randhir who was busy in his phone. When he was about to move in the watchman stopped him immediately.

Watchman: randhir baba rukiya..aap ko kuch btana thaa

Randhir: boliye..aap ko kuch kaam tha

Watchman: nahi baba..mai to bas aapko ye btana chahta tha ki jab bahar gye hua the toh aapke jane ke baad roz ek ladki aati thi aap se milne ke lia...maine usko bahut samjhaya ki aap kab wapis aayenge ye hume bhi nahi pta but vo bahut hi zidi thi baba...roz aake aapke bare me puchti thi..

Randhir (confusingly): aap kiske bare me baat kar rhe hai kaka? Kaun aata tha yahan? Kuch naam bataya usne apna?

Watchman: haan naam toh batay tha..kuch sanya..nahi sanju..kuch aesa sa hi naam tha...lekin haan vo roz aapke liya moong ki daal ka halwa laati thi..bolti thi ki aapko bahut pasand hai

Randhir (whisper): sanyukta

Watchman: haan yehi naam bataya tha usne apna...sanyukta...roz niyam se 4 bje ajati hai aapke halwa ke saath...baba mujhe aapke mamle me panda nahi chahiye lekin uss bachi se job hi bhool hui hai use please maaf kardijiye..bahut pareshan rehti hai bechari..bol rhi thi ki usne bahut galat kaam kia hai jiski wajah se aap use naraz ho

Randhir (clearing his throat): kaka mai bahut thak gya hu..aap dekhlijiyega ki sara samaan sahi se andar ajaaye

Saying randhir turn to go inside when his eyes fall on sanaya who was hearing his conversation with kaka. He looked away and walked inside his room. He closed the door and sat on the bed. He closed his eyes and started breathing heavily to gulp down his anger. He clutched the pillow in a tight grip and threw it away on floor.

Randhir: I will never forgive you sanyukta...you have hurt me the place where it pain the most. What do you think? That you will be able to make me forgive you by doing all this drama. Never sanyukta...mai tumpe bharosa karne ki galti ab dubara kabhi nahi karunga..

Randhir got changed in his casual and slept. He slept for some hours and then got up in the evening. He got himself a coffee and went towards the balcony to have some fresh air. He was enjoying his coffee when he heard few voices he looked down towards the entrance gate. His eyes widened when he saw sanyukta standing near the entrance gate and arguing with one maid. He looked at her properly. She was dressed in a simple suit and was holding a tiffin box in her hand probably containing moong ki daal ka halwa. She looked weak and her face was also looking pale.

Maid: ma'am aap samjhne ki koshish kijiye hume strict orders hai ki hum aapko ghar ke andar naa jane de..

Sanyukta: dekhiye mai zada time nahi lungi mujhe bas ek bar sanaya aur randhir se milne dijiye..mai kab se unse milne ka wait kar rhi thi..mai bas unko ye halwa deke wapis chali jaungi..but mera andar jana bahut zaruri hai

Maid: I am sorry but renuka ma'am ne aapko randhir baba aur sanaya baby se milne ke liya mana kia hai..agar maine unki baat nahi manni toh vo mujhe job se nikal dengi...aap please yahan se jaiye...hume aur bhi bahut kaam hai

Sanyukta (looking towards the old watchman): kaka aap please inhe samjhaiye na ki mujhe sanaya aur randhir se milne de..aapko toh pta hai naa mera unse milna kitna important hai..

Watchman: maaf karna beti lekin ye renuka madam ke order hai...aur hum isme kuch nahi kar skta..meri baat mano toh apne ghar chali jao wapis...

Sanyukta eyes became moist seeing her hopes getting crushed. She nodded her head and was about to go when something struck in her mind. She asked the watchman uncle for a pen and paper and wrote something on it. She handed back to him and left from there. randhir was curious about the paper. He kept the mug in the room and ran down only to find the watchman kaka handing the paper to sanaya. Sanaya was opened the chit and read it. Randhir took the chit from her hand and started reading it.

Dear sanaya

I know what I did that day was so wrong. I know I don't deserve your forgiveness but still I cannot live with this guilt of hurting an innocent soul like you. I cannot explain you the reason behind my rude behavior. I will just say please sanaya forgive this idiot. Trust me I am dying in guilt everyday for being so mean to you. I not only insulted you but also my friendship with randhir. And please for heaven sake don't think that I am doing this because I sympathize with you. Strong girls like you don't need anyone's sympathy. It's people like me who are selfish and bad need sympathy because of our poor mentality. I am really sorry for my behavior sanaya. Please forgive me and give me this one chance. I have cooked this moong ki daal ka halwa for both of you. I am waiting outside if you think that you can forgive me then please eat it.

Sanyukta

Randhir started looking around and took that tiffin box from sanaya hand. He walked towards the balcony followed by sanaya to find sanyukta standing outside the gate. A small smile appeared on sanyukta face when she saw randhir after so long but soon it got vanished when she saw randhir throwing that tiffin outside the balcony. The tiffin fell down on the floor. Randhir took out that letter and torn it in pieces and threw it also.

Sanyukta eyes got filled with tears. Randhir left from there not before giving her hard look. Sanaya kept looking at sanyukta who was now crying. When sanyukta eyes felt on sanaya she held her ears with both the hands and chirped a sorry. Sanaya not knowing whom to support too left from there.

Sanyukta took that tiffin box and came back home. She was alone in the house as her mother had gone to her grand mother house as she was very much ill. So it was only sanyukta and her father in the home, who used to come back late in the night. From that day sanyukta took an oath to get forgiveness for deeds at any cost. She daily used to go and stand outside randhir house for two hours. She never stepped inside the mansion but used to stand like a zombie in front of their mansion. Renuka even scolded her to go back to her home but she used to calmly say that she is neither standing in the premises of their house nor she is disturbing any of her family member. It's been five days daily sanyukta used to visit shekhwat mansion with a tiffin box and used to stand outside their house. Sanaya many times tried to convince randhir but his once caring heart turned into a stone one.

It was another day but unlike everyday today was a bit stormy weather. Sanyukta as usual came outside their home. After few minutes it started raining heavily. Randhir who till now busy with his guitar just to distract sanyukta thought immediately ran towards his balcony to check whether she had gone or not. The moment he reached there he was surprised to see sanaya already standing there. He slowly sat beside her and started looking around for sanyukta. when he didn't found her standing outside his house he breathed a sigh of relief that she is finally gone. He was about to turn when sanaya hold his hand and pointed towards a particular direction. Randhir followed her finger and his eyes widened seeing her standing below a tree.

Randhir: what the hell? Is she mad? Dikha nahi raha hai iss pagal ko kitani tez barish ho rhi hai aur usme bhi she is standing under a tree..ye newspaper nahi padti kya..aese stormy weather me tree kitna girte hai jinki wajah se kitne accidents hote hai..god kya karu mai iss pagal kaa

He closed his eyes in frustration and again opened it. He saw how she was getting drenched in that rain. She has started shivering in those wet cloths.

Randhir: mujhe kya jo karna hai vo kare...maine nahi kaha tha mere ghar ke samne aake khade hone ko...jab thand lagegi naa toh khud ke khud ghar chali jayegi

Randhir was about to move when he heard sanaya unclear voice. He turned around when he felt her hold on his wrist

Sanaya (trying to speak): bhaaa...san...bim (she said pointing towards sanyukta who was shivering)

Randhir: sanaya how many times I have to tell you? She means nothing to us. Jab thand lagegi to khud hi chali jayegi

Randhir left from there and sat in his room. Its been hour since it was raining heavily. Randhir was now and then looking towards the window. One part of him begging him to go outside and forgive sanyukta but other side was reminding how she mistreated his sister. Finally the two hours were over but still the rain continued to pour at its highest speed. Randhir thought that till now sanyukta must have gone home as the punishment time according to her is also over. But then he saw sanaya who came running to him and was crying. He worriedly got up from his bed.

Sanaya: bhaa (pointing outside the window)

Randhir: (whisper): sanyu..sanyukta

Sanaya nodded her head and dragged him outside the house. They both also got wet in the rain. Randhir body turned cold when he saw sanyukta lying on the side of the bed. Her body was shivering even when she was faint. Her cloths were sticking to her body like another skin. His trance broke when he heard sanaya constant bickering about sanyukta. He was about to move towards her when he saw few road side romeo eyeing her wet body. His blood boiled seeing them eyeing her as a piece of meat. He quickly removed his shirt and wrapped it around her shivering frame and then picked her up in his arms.

He quickly brought her inside his room and placed her on the bed. renuka and harsh was out for some social event and he knew they won't be returning back before midnight. He took out one towel from his cupboard and started wiping her hair whereas sanaya adjusted a heater in the room.

Randhir: sanaya go and get some hot water bag for her.

Sanaya nodded her head and went downstairs whereas he kept on wiping her hair. He kept one hand on her forehead only to find her burning in fever. He looked at her pale face having dark circles under eyes indicating about her sleepless nights. He felt someone gaze on them. He looked above to find sanaya looking at them. He instantly shifted a little away from her.

Randhir (getting up from the bed): sanaya do one thing I am outside wipe her body and then change her cloths. Usko already bahut high fever hai...kahi aur beemar na pad jaye vo

Sanaya nodded her head whereas randhir left the room. Sanaya latched the door and changed her dress meanwhile randhir made a call to vidushi to inform her about sanyukta condition.

Vidushi: what? Is she okay now? randhir I am sorry but mai nahi asakti tumhare ghar I am out of town with my parents and sanyu ki mom bhi uski dadi ke pass rehne gayi hui hai...hum uske ghar par bhi inform nahi kar sakte varna uske parents bahut gussa honge uss par

Randhir: I know vidushi islia maine tumhe call kia hai..lets do one thing aaj raat ke lia sanyukta mere ghar par rukjayei...and tum uske ghar par boldo ki tum dono aj girls night out kar rhe ho

Vidushi: but randhir....sanyu tumhare ghar par....but you said your parents are not at home so wo wahan par...please don't mind randhir its not like I don't trust you but

Randhir (interrupting her): its okay vidushi I can understand. Meri bhi ek behen hai I know what a girl dignity means to her. don't worry I am not alone...sanaya is also with me

They talked for sometime and then randhir ended the call. He went inside the room only to find sanaya putting wet cloth on sanyukta forehead. He sat beside them and checked her temperature again. Randhir went to kitchen and got some hot oil. He sat near her feet and started massaging her feet. Sanaya smiled looking at her brother whereas he chooses to avoid it. After some time sanyukta slowly opened her eyes. She confusingly looked at the siblings who were glaring so hard that they will eat her in any moment. She gulped down and tried to get up from bed. Sanaya still glaring her forwarded a glass of milk. Sanyukta was about to deny it when she looked at randhir whose eyes were throwing fire at her. She instantly drank the milk.

Randhir: what was that sanyukta? how could you do this? thodi sib hi akal di hai bhagwan ne yaa tumhara top floor bilkul hi khaali hai? Agar tumhe kuch hojata toh you fool?

Sanyukta instead of saying anything jumped on him and started crying by keeping her head on his lap. Randhir was startled by her action. He hesitantly put his hand in her hair and started caressing it. He looked up at sanaya who was trying to hide her smile. He glared her and she looked down.

Sanyukta: I am so sorry randhir! please forgive me..i promise mai aaj ke baad itna stupid behave nahi karungi...but please mujhe maaf kardo

Randhir (looked at sanaya who nodded her head instantly with a smile): okay sanyukta...I forgave you...but mai tumse fir kabhi nahi bolunga agar tumne aesa dobara kia toh

Sanyukta nodded her head and look forward at sanaya who smiled brighty at her. sanyukta opened her arms towards her.

Sanyukta: oh apne bhaiyu ki chamchi ab group hug ke lia tujhe alag se invitation dun....come here

Sanaya to jumped on them and they shared a group hug. Randhir broke the hug and thought of pulling sanyukta leg to ease the moment

Randhir: vaise sanyukta not bad...tum toh full on filmy nikali....mujhe manane ke lia roz mere ghar ke bahar romeo ki tarah aakar khadi hojati thi..(he teased her)

Sanyuta (blushing): shut up randhir! I didn't do it for you...I did it for sanaya...(keeping her head on sanaya lap): so please Mr.shekhawat apn aap ko itna importance dene ki zarurat nahi hai...ab jao mere lia aur sanaya ke lia coffee leke aao...

Randhir instantly threw a pillow towards her and they shared a hearty laugh.
