Part 6

Thank you so much dear readers! I am really glad that this fiction has finally started getting the response.

Only one weak was left for their midterm examination. Randhir and sanyukta was working hard to make randhir reach above passing marks position. They extended their study time and used to sit and study till late. They have become good friends till now. Late night chatting has become quite familiar to them. None of them sleep before wishing other good night. Randhir has started developing some comfort zone with sanyukta.

It was usual Monday morning. Randhir didn't come to school today. sanyukta waited for him to show up at 2 but all her hopes were crushed down. She disappointingly reached near the parking lot and took out her cycle. the moment she stepped out of the school she saw one white innova near her school gate. She was about to cross it when one man dressed in driver suit came out and called her.

Driver: sanyukta ma'am

Sanyukta: (nervously): ji aap kaun?

Driver: ma'am mai shekhawats ka driver hu..mujhe randhir baba ne bheja hai...unhone bola ki aapko ye phone du aur aap unse abhi baat karlo.

Sanyukta: randhir ne?

Driver nodded his head and dialed randhir's number and handed it to her. sanyukta hesitantly kept the phone near her ear. Soon the call was answered and she heard a heavy voice.

Randhir (clearing his throat): hello sanyukta..i am sorry I didn't came to school today. I know you must have been waiting for me. But mai kya karta (started coughing) I am not well sanyukta

Sanyukta: not well? What happen randhir?

Randhir: nothing just a mild fever and sore throat.

Sanyukta: take care randhir and get well soon

Randhir: sanyukta actually I need one favor from you. I am not well and I don't think I will be able to come to school for next 2-3 days so can you please come to my home and teach me.

Sanyukta (widened her eyes): your home?

Randhir: (sneezing) I know your mom is strict sanyukta and she won't allow you but please you know there is hardly any time left in the examination. And I don't want to spoil my hard work sanyukta. if you want then I can request aunty to send you here.

Sanyukta: (worriedly): no randhir please don't talk to my mom. Okay I will manage it anyhow.

Randhir: thank you sanyukta. you are a life savior for me. So by what time you will come?

Sanyukta : I will be there by 4. Till then you take rest okay.

Randhir: fine then..see you.

Sanyukta ended the call and handed the phone back to the driver. She reached home and called vidushi to inform her about her conversation with randhir. vidushi came to her house and as decided convinced anju to let sanyukta at her home for studies. After chit chatting with anju vidushi entered sanyukta room to find her sitting with a grumpy face between the bunch of her cloths. Vidushi shook her head knowing her mind state.

Vidushi : chal sanyu khadi hoja mai tko drop kardungi uske ghar

Sanyukta (glaring her): vidu mai uske ghar pehli baar jaungi and I have nothing good to wear. Kuch kar naa yaar. I don't want to spoil my impression in front of him and his parents.

Vidushi (rolling her eyes): sanyu yaar I don't have whole day to sit here and hear your never ending drama. Now get up and come with me. My driver is waiting outside.

Sanyukta got angry and dashed inside the washroom. She came out dressed in a simple kurti and legging. She tied her hair in plait and stood in front of her with an annoyed expression. They both sat inside her car and left for randhir's home. During the whole ride sanyukta didn't talk with vidushi. Soon the driver stopped the car in front of vidushi house. Sanyukta surprisingly looked at vidushi who winks at her.

Sanyukta (coming out of the car): why are we here? hume to randhir ke ghar jana tha naa

Vidushi (slapping her forehead): tujhe kya laga mai tujhe aese hi randhir se milne jane dungi vo bhi iss tarah jab tu koi aunty se kam nahi lag rhi hai. Agar hum tere ghar me kuch karte toh aunty ko doubt hojata islia tujhe yahan laayi hu. Now come fast you have to get ready.

Vidushi took out her black top with jeans and handed to her to get change. Once sanyukta changed into those cloths, vidushi opened her hair and combed them properly and left it open. She applied some cream on her face and neck and then sprinkled perfume on her dress. sanyukta was feeling shy seeing her image in the mirror. No doubt she was looking pretty.

Sanyukta (hug her vidushi): thanks vidu! You are the best

Vidushi (patted her back): now let's come we have to drop you at randhir's place also. He must be waiting for you.

Vidushi dropped sanyukta outside shekhawat's mansion. Sanyukta nervously went inside the house. She was standing near the gate when she heard barking of a dog. She got alarmed and started looking here and there. Her eyes was ready to come out of the socket when she saw a German shepherd sitting on the stairs and looking at her. she clutched her bag tightly and started chanting prayers. The dog got down from the stairs and started coming towards her. sanyukta gulped down her saliva. She started moving backward but her eyes were fixed on the movement of the dog. Suddenly the dog ran in her direction.

Sanyukta (shouted): mummmmmmy

She turned around and ran outside the door only to get bumped with a lady. The lady was coming from outside with lots of bags in her hand. The bags got scattered on the floor. Sanyukta apologetically looked towards whereas the lady who was none other than renuka shekhwat glares her. she bend down and started collecting all the stuff. Sanyukta too bend down and was about to touch one bag when the renuka showed her one palm,sanyukta nervously got up.

Sanyukta: I am sorry aunty actually mere piche vo...

Renuka (interrupting her): who are you? And what are you doing in my house?

Sanyukta: aunty my name is sanyukta. I came here to meet randhir. I am his classmate.

Renuka (glaring her): he is not well. Come some other time.

Sanyukta: I know aunty and that's why I am here. I am helping him in his studies. So...

Sanyukta was about to continue when renuka phone ranged. She left from there not without giving her a hard glare. Sanyukta sighed in relief.

Sanyukta (murmurs): ab kya karu? Aunty to mujhe yahi chodke chali gayi...andar gayi aur vo dog firse mere piche pad gya toh..wapis ghar chali jaun kya? Nahi nahi randhir ko kya answer dungi

Her trance broke when she felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned around to see the same man who had come to her school today.

Driver: aap randhir baba se milne aayi hai na?

Sanyukta nodded her head and thank god for sending him. Maybe he could help her.

Sanyukta: aap please mujhe uske room tak lajaskte hai?

Driver: ji kyu nahi ayeye

Driver guided her till randhir's room. The door was slightly open. Sanyukta thanked him and entered the room. But what she saw was enough to raise her heartbeats. Randhir was standing shirtless in all his glory in front of the wardrobe. He unknown to her presence was shuffling through his cloths. Sanyukta awkwardly cleared her throat. randhir look at her and passed an awkward smile.

Randhir (taking out a shirt): sanyukta you sit here I will be back

Saying he dashed inside the washroom leaving a blushing sanyukta. sanyukta kept her bag on the bed and looked around to see his room. His room was like a typical teenager boy room blue in color. There was a shelf purely for the purpose of keeping trophies which he won during the musical contest. Sanyukta then shifted her gaze towards a wall that was adorning many pictures of him...with his friends and family and each picture has some or the other tagline.But one picture caught her attention. It was randhir standing with a girl by keeping his arms around her waist. They both were smiling looking at the camera. The girl was fair in color with long silky hair. She was clad in a blue color dress reaching up to mid thigh. She looked below to the tag which read "I love you my baby" Sanyukta gulped down looking at their proximity. She knew nothing about her but still something pained in her heart seeing him so close with some other girl. She turned around only to find him seeing her confusingly.

Randhir: what happen sanyukta? tumhara mood kharab ku lag raha hai?

Sanyukta : nothing randhir...let's study. Then I have to go back also.

Randhir (sitting on bed): but tum toh abhi aayi ho aur abhi jaane ki baat bhi kar rhi ho...sit down I will ask the maid to get you something to eat.

Sanyuta (irritatingly): randhir mai yahan apne ghar se jhut bolke tumhara saath picnic banana nahi aayi hu. So it's better we do it for what I am here.

Randhir: sanyukta is everything alright? Tum itna gussa kyu kar rhi ho? Tumse kisi ne kuch kaha hai kya?

Sanyukta (calmly): look randhir I am here just to teach you. So it's better that I do my work and leave soon. Meri mumma mera ghar par wait kar rhi hongi so please let's start it.

Randhir nodded his head and they started studying. Randhir was noticing sanyukta changed behavior. It was like she was forced to sit here with him. it has been two since hours since they were studying and unlike other times sanyukta didn't even gave him a break. Randhir was now and then looking at her serious face which was void of any emotion. Suddenly randhir started feeling dizzy. He closed his eyes and tried to take deep breath. He was feeling like he is about to throw his stomach out. He pushed sanyukta and ran towards the washroom. Sanyukta ran after him. she was about to enter in the washroom when randhir kept one hand on the door blocking her way.

Randhir (holding the sink with another hand): no sanyukta! You stay out. I am vomiting right now. You will feel uneasy.

Sanyukta (pushing the door): will you please shut up

Sanyukta entered inside the washroom. Randhir vomits in the sink. He was not able to stand on his legs due to weakness. No doubt he has lost some weight in two days only. He was swaying and breathing heavily. it was like any moment he will bury in his face in that sink full of his vomit. Sanyukta came forward and held him by his waist. She started rubbing his back. Randhir rinsed his mouth. His eyes were filled with tears. sanyukta hold his arm and kept it around her shoulder. She helped him to come out from the bathroom and made him sit on the bed. She handed him a glass of water and sat beside him

Sanyuta (softly): are you okay now?

Randhir (in a low voice): why do you care? And yea sorry for wasting your precious time.

Sanyukta looked down in guilt whereas randhir eyes were filled with tears. Sanyukta heart pained seeing him like this. She knew it's her fault. When she knew that he is not well then she should have been little bit of considerate about his health. She sat on her knees and hold her ears.

Sanyukta (cutely): I am sorry randhir. Please don't cry. Look now I will not teach you. You can take rest okay and i will go back home.

Randhir (sniffs): you want to leave me and go. Ek to meri tabyat think nahi aur tum. Okay then I won't stop you. you can go If you want.

Sanyukta: randhir what happen? Please tell me. I am sure it's not about not giving you a break.

Randhir (turning his face): nothing sanyukta... you must be getting late. I will ask the driver to drop you back home.

Sanyukta (hesitantly placed her palm on his warm and wet cheeks): randhir we are friends right and friends share everything. Won't you share it with me? But its okay if you don't trust me enough to tell me your secrets. I will take your leave then.

She was about to get up when randhir hold her hand. He was still not looking towards her. His face was down. She knew he was crying. He shook his head in a no and pulls her towards him on the bed.

Randhir: never say that I don't trust you. its just that I was not well from yesterday. And no one (tears made their way through his eyes)..no one came to see me. I was feeling so lonely. Dad is always busy on his business tours so most of the time he stays out of the town and mom...she is running many NGOs. She is always busy with her social life work and the rest of the time when she is home she always kept  herself busy with kitty parties. My little sister lives in hostel. I have no one to look after me sanyukta. I thought I will call you here in the name of study and then you will spend the whole day with me. But tum toh (wiping his nose with handkerchief) tum aate hi mujhpar gussa hogyi aur padana start kardiaa. Koi bimaar insaan ko itna padata hai kya (he complaint cutely)

Sanyukta eyes too got filled with fresh tears. She cursed herself for hurting him. She looked at him who was now and then wiping his tears with the back of his palm. She shifted little closer to him and wiped his face with her palms.

Sanyukta: I am sorry randhir...mera thoda mood off tha. Tumhe mujhe bolna chahiye tha that you are getting bore so you want company

Randhir: haan jaise mai bolta aur tum maanjati mere ghar aane ke lia and that too without any reason.

Sanyukta (chuckles and pulled his cheeks.): one hot chocolate milk

Randhir: what?

Sanyukta: get me one hot chocolate milk and yes some cookies too.

Randhir smiled hearing her and asked the maid to get them some snacks with their chocolate milk. They sat for hours and kept talking and discussing about their life. Somewhere with him sanyukta forget that picture topic. Soon it was time for her to go back home.

Randhir: sanyukta please thodi der aur ruk jao naa

Sanyukta: randhir it already 8. Mere parents bahut gussa karenge. Tumhe jab bhi lonely feel ho. You can call me anytime okay.

Randhir :okay..i will ask the driver to drop you back. And call me once you reach home. (Sanyukta nodded and was about to go when she heard randhir's voice.) You were looking very beautiful today sanyukta with your open hair. tum kkal fir aaogi naa mere se milne

Sanyukta stood there not knowing how to react. she nodded her head.She muttered a small thank you left from there. During the whole journey she was blushing remembering their cute moments. Lost in her dream land she completely forgot about that picture girl.
