Sanyukta who was still looking at him with wide eyes and open mouth nodded her head. Her hands were still folded. When randhir smile at her and folded his hands and gesture her towards them indicating to continue with the prayer. After the prayer was over vidushi opened her eyes only to find her best friend gawking at randhir with eyes. She mentally slaps herself looking to her helpless form. She poked sanyukta to distract her from her randhir-land.

Vidushi (whisper): sanyu yaar don't make it look so obvious. I know you like him but don't make him feel that you are desperate for him.

Sanyukta (pouting): I am not desperate..i need to share something with you (her eyes twinkle remembering their small moment)

Vidushi (pulling her cheeks): I know sweetie! But you don't know these boys. Zara sa bhav kya dedo inhe...ye to asmaan me udne lag jate hai....and what you want to tell me?

Sanyukta: not here...let's go in the class first.

It has taken hell lot of a self control for vidushi from not squealing in excitement when she heard sanyukta story. sanyukta was too smiling from ear to ear. Well it is rightly said it is useless to have crushes if you don't have any best friend to talk about them- unknown. Their little moment was disturbed by their class teacher.

Maya: so student today we have a maths test. So are you all prepared?

Class: yes ma'am

Maya: good but before that let me distribute your last test copy. Few students have exceptionally performed well and I am glad that many students have performed better than their previous test. But still there are few shameless fellows in the class who are not at all affected even if they got zero in their test. So let me start with the one who has managed to score highest marks in the class and no doubt that girl is no one other than sanyukta agarwall.

Vidushi gave sanyukta side hug. Sound of claps was heard in the whole class. Sanyukta move towards the teacher and took her answer sheet. She gives a bright smile towards the class and secretly looked at randhir who was busy in scribbling something on his notebook. Sanyukta felt dejected and came back to her seat. Slowly everyone was called in the descending serious of the marks scored. Sanyukta was curiously waiting for randhir's turn but it was like teacher was in no mood to hand over his answer sheet. It was then when teacher was left with a two sheets in her hands.

Maya ma': so students everyone had got their sheets except two brilliant student of our class who has performed exceptionally excellent in the test. Now I would like to request those students to come here by themselves and accepted their certificate of excellence (she said her each word dipped in sarcasm)

Sanyukta gulped and looked towards the back seat where randhir sits with his friends. Randhir slowly stood up from his bench with head down. In another row one more boy stood up. They both came forward and stood in front of the teacher.

Sanyukta (in a whisper): shit! Aaj toh ye gaya..god please aaj isko bacha lena..varna maya ma'am isko kacha khaa jayengi

Maya ma'am: what is this boys? Just look at this! You have got zero in such a simple test. What will you do next in year in your board exams?

Randhir (mumbles): sorry ma'am. It will not happen again.

Maya ma'am: what do you mean by sorry randhir? It is the third test where you have got failed. Next month you guys have your mid terms. What will you do in them? Get serious randhir! Life is not only about music and concerts. I know you are good in singing. You have won so many singing contests for our school. But studies are equally important. (turning to another guys) and you raghav..agar maths nahi hota then who asked you to opt for commerce with maths?

Raghav: trust me ma'am I will work hard from next time.

Maya ma'am: no there will be no next time. Right now only you both are coming with me to principal office. I will directly tell him that you both are not my responsibility from now on. If you both got failed this year then it is not my problem. Let principal sir only talk with your parents.

Randhir (sweating): no ma'am! Please don't inform my parents about this. I promise I will work hard from next time and will pass your very test and exam.

Raghav: yes ma'am! Please give me this last chance.

Maya ma'am: okay if you are pleading so much then I am ready to give you this chance. Today we have another test of 50 marks. So if you both managed to get even 15 marks out of it then I am ready to give you this another chance and if not then today only I will made a call to your parents and they will be called here to meet the principal.

Randhir (nervously): ma'am but...today

Maya ma'am: (smirks) what happen randhir? You are not prepared today as well? So should I talk to you parents now only and save my time?

Randhir: no ma'am'! I am pre..prepared

Maya ma'am: good then..all the best boys.

They were about to move towards their seat where parth, randhir's best friend give him an assuring smile. Randhir hived a sigh of relief. But this scene was not gone unnoticed by maya ma'am.

Maya: who told you both to sit on your respective seat? Vidushi you get up with your copy and sit with parth and randhir you come here and sit beside sanyukta.

Suddenly everyone heard a sound of something falling. They looked towards sanyukta who give a nervous smile and picked up her pencil box which accidentally got dropped from her shivering hands. Vidushi winked at sayukta and wished her all the best. Well only they knew for what she had wished him luck. Vidushi took her belongings and sat near parth whereas randhir took a seat beside sanyukta.

Sanyukta (close her eyes when his cologne hit her senses): relax sanyukta...he is also another human being like you. Don't behave like a desperate teenager. Just calm down you running horses and focus on your test.

Sanyukta focus on the question that was written on the board and started solving it. It is been one hour since they doing the test. Sanyukta completed her test and draw a neat line in the end. Still there were 15 minutes left for the bell to rung. She looked at her answers and satisfactorily smiles. She slowly looked towards his side only to find him putting a cross sign on answers as they were not correct. He ruffled his hair and tore that paper complete and took out new paper from the notebook to start his so called test again. Sanyukta shifted her eyes towards their teacher who shook her head with an annoying look to see him like this.

Sanyukta (in a murmur): help karu ya nahi karun? Iski sheet dekhke toh nahi lagta ki ye wala test clear kar payega...fir maya ma'am iske parents se complaint kardengi...

She sigh looking at his disappointed face and shifted her copy towards him. She grabbed his attention by poking him with her index finger lightly. Randhir looked towards her confusingly when she again she shifted her copy towards him. He surprising looked at her when she passed him a smile. Randhir looked at the teacher who was busy in taking round and the he started copying her answers.
