Hi readers! I am actually very much frustrated right now. you won't believe I have written this part yesterday  in the morning itself but when I was about to post it wattpad deleted it completely and now I have to write it again.

Arnav lazily flipped the pages of the file whereas sanyukta was looking at him with a grin. Arnav shook his head knowing how she must be doing a happy dance mentally. He placed the file back on the table. He knew she has done her home well in this one week time period.

Sanyukta (enthusiastically): sir I am very much aware with all the data and reasons and I am even ready for the face to face questions. You can ask me anything from anything.

Arnav (rolling his eyes): you don't need to tell me what should I do and what I shouldn't. Now you may get back to your work.

Sanyukta (smirking): that means I have completed my task-1 perfectly...right sir

Arnav was about to mouth something when his secretary knocked. He looked at her who was sweating profusely even in the air conditioner cabin. He could make it out that something was right.

Arnav: what happen Liza?

Liza (stammering): sir actually Mr. Jacob called few minutes back and he told me that he is cancelling the deal that happen between us three days back.

Arnav (shouts): what? How can he do that? It is completely unprofessional...he can't back out like this...we have done so many projects together

Liza: sir actually Alex group of company approached him and showed and convinced him that they have better quality of material than us and in that deal they are providing high profit margin to Mr. Jacob. So he said dealing with Alex group of company would more beneficial for him.

Sanyukta : I am sorry for interrupting in between but how is it possible? According to my knowledge Shekhawat groups of company always sealed the deal with an agreement deed. They must have signed the agreement papers where they are not allowed to back out otherwise they have to bear the penalty. So why don't you use them?

Liza (looking away): There is no agreement deed happened between our company. So we cannot blackmail them to return us the deal.

Sanyukta (suspiciously): but why? It is been three days and still you haven't made them sign the deal.

Liza (rudely): Ms. Sanyukta I very well knows how to do my work. Unlike you I am not a newbie here.

Arnav: but liza she is right...it was solely your responsibility to make them sign the deal papers on the very first day...how can you delay it for so long?

Liza (panicking): I am so sorry..It actually slipped out of my mind...

Arnav (frustratingly): your sorry might cost me my project liza...it is so irresponsible of you...if you cannot handle the position of my p.a. then you may resign because I don't want any looser here sitting on my head.

Liza: sir please don't do this with me..actually there is one more thing. I somehow convinced Mr. Jacob to give us one chance and he said he can rethink about his decision of we proved him tomorrow that we are better than Alex group of company. He has asked both the companies to once again prepare a project and represent it to him tomorrow and then he will decide who is better.

Arnav: you just get out from here before I lose my mind and you lose your job.

Liza ran out of his cabin. sanyukta picked up her file and started to leave the cabin. She knew arnav needs some time to tackle this unseen problem of the company. She was about to move out when she stopped hearing his words.

Arnav: you will prepare another better project for tomorrow's meeting with Mr. Jacob. That is your task-2 which you need to perform.

Sanyukta (with a shocking face): what? How can I do this sir? I have nil information about the project and preparing it in one day is out of the question. Sorry sir but I can't do this.

Arnav (taking out his phone): fine then...I should tell harsh sir that his daughter has finally accepted her defeat and I am sending her back to him. Is this okay with you?

Sanyukta: is this some kind of joke...how can you blackmail me to do this?

Arnav: no Ms. Sanyukta this is not some joke but your task-2 which you have to complete in another 24 hours. I am not forcing you. It is completely your choice that what you want. Do you want to stay here and compete for the post which your father feels that you deserve or you want to prove him that you are nothing but a disappointment? And remember sanyukta even if you failed us tomorrow in the meeting then also you are going back to India..i will tell it to your fathe that girl whom he trust more than anyone is nothing but a loser who cannot even perform under pressure. So do tell me what you want?

Sanyukta closed her eyes helplessly. She knew what he is asking her to do is not so easy or may be near to impossible. But she can't go back to india not when she has not achieved anything. She can't disappoint harsh papa. If it was not him then even today she would have been sitting curled up in a dark room cursing her fate.

Sanyukta: I am ready for this. I can't let my papa down.

Arnav (smirking): good..So see you tomorrow Ms. Sanyukta

Sanyukta left his cabin and started working on the project. She looked at the watch which was striking half past 6 when her stomach grumbled. In order to complete the project on time she even skipped her lunch which she carries daily with her.

Peon: madam it is already very late and everyone has left the office. I need to lock the office too.

Sanyukta (gathering her belongings): I know..just give me a minute and then I will leave

Sanyukta packed her stuff and moved out of the office after informing the peon. She was waiting for the cab when an idea stuck in her mind.

Sanyukta: This is not the first project we are doing with their company. It will help me to convince them tomorrow if I remind him how much profit he has earned by collaborating with our company. Yeah...it will be a good idea...I should go and check in the store room where all previous reports are kept. It might help me.

She ran back to the store room and started looking for their previous report. It wasn't much hard for her as their store room was not less than any liberary where every file was arranged properly with a label outside. Soon she finds it out and was about to keep it in her back when she heard the door of the store room getting close. She ran towards the door but it was too late. She was already locked.

Sanyukta (thumping the door):hey...someone please open the door....i am still inside ...please open the door...somebody please help...

Fear engulfed her when nobody responded to her shouting. She got stiff when she heard someone from behind. She turned around only to find arnav looking at her with a confused face.

Arnav: what are you doing here? And why the hell were you shouting? I was on an important call dammit.

Sanyukta : we have been locked here and no one is opening the door

Arnav: what? Get aside...(thumping on door) Stephen...idiot open the door...we are still inside...open the door....stephen....open the door...(took out his call)...damn the battery...Ms. Sanyukta may I have your phone please

Sanyukta: yeah sure....(she started looking for her phone but to her shock there was no phone in her bag)..My phone...sir is not there in my bag...I think I left it on the working table..What we will do now? We are stuck here...

Arnav: we don't have any other option than staying here tonight. We can't do anything till tomorrow morning.

Sanyukta: what do you mean by you can't do anything. You are the boss of the company. How can you be so careless about the safety of your employees? And I don't know about you but I can't stay here with you...I am not comfortable.

Arnav (rolling his eyes): first thing being the boss of the company does not grant me some supernatural powers by the use of which I can either break this electronic door or send some signals to the watchman so that he comes to know that we are stuck here. Another thing, you have a misconception about you. You are not that beautiful that I will try to take advantage of our situation. So please stop day dreaming!

Arnav said those words casually but sanyukta felt a familiar ache in her heart. it was not like she was affected by the thing that arnav don't find her beautiful but the thing that her husband never used to find her beautiful and always use to taunt her on her appearance pained her.

Tumne kabhi apni shakal dekhi hai? Mere saath khade rehne ki aukat nahi hai aur tumhe mujhse shaadi karni hai

Tum jaisi ladkiyan na toh mai apne time paas ke lia bhi na rakhu

How dare I cheat on you? Hai kya tumhare paas aesa jo mujhe tumse bind karke rakhe?

Sanyukta jerked off her thoughts when she felt arnav gaze on her. She wiped her tears.

Arnav (clearing his throat): Look Ms. Sanyukta I didn't mean what I said. But I can assure you that you are my responsibility. You are completely safe with me.

Sanyukta nodded her head and started looking for a mat which she found soon. She spread the mat on the floor and sat down with her belongings.

Arnav: I was busy on a call and didn't realize when I came her while talking. But what were you doing here at this time?

Sanyukta showed him the files which she collected from the shelf. Arnav nodded his head in an understandable manner. Arnav amusingly looked at sanyukta who started reading those files.

Arnav: now when we are stuck here then also you are focusing on your task...

Sanyukta (scribbling down something on paper): my mother says that we cannot control the circumstances we are in but we can control how we react to it. I will not sit back like this. I will fight back to the best of my abilities.

Arnav (smiles softly): tum jitani kamzor lagti ho...utani kamzor ho nahi

Sanyukta (surprisingly): aap ko hindi aati hai? Mujhe toh laga aap pure angrez ho

Arnav (chuckles): I am an Indian by birth so yes I know Hindi, though I don't speak it much. You know what you are just like your father, full of determination and hard work.

Sanyukta (lowering her head): he is not my father

Arnav: what? But he told me that he is sending his daughter here and even you call him papa right?

Sanyukta: Harsh papa was my father-in-law. I was married to his eldest son randhir singh shekhawat but due to some issues our marriage didn't work and now we are not together. Harsh papa and his family never treated me like a daughter-in-law and even now if I am here today working on my present then it is only because of him.

Arnav nodded his head in an understanding manner. He looked at her gloomy face. He knows it must be a difficult subject for her to talk about.

Arnav: if you want can I help you in this project. There are certain loopholes and things that I can help you with. Till now he was sure about one thing that sanyukta is a hard working person. There must something in good in her that is why harsh sir is supporting her so much.

Sanyukta (shockingly): are you serious? You only asked me to do it alone..And now you are offering your help

Arnav : yeah but it is a matter of our company prestige and I can't risk it in any case. So now may I help you?

Sanyukta (teasingly): you sure? You know if my boss came to know about you helping me then you might lose your job along with mine...

Arnav (smirking): don't worry...no one is going to tell you boss about this. it will be our little secret.

Sanyukta laughed aloud and shifted a little asking him to sit beside her. arnav felt awkward for sitting on the floor but then left all his hesitation and sat beside her. They both worked on it for few hours and much to arnav amusement he liked her company. He liked to see how expressive she was with her ideas and thoughts. After some time sanyukta heard some grumbling voices near her. She looked at arnav who was scatching his nape. She shook her head and took out her lunch box from her bag and offered him.

Arnav (getting embarrassed): no I am fine...it is your lunch box...I am okay

Sanyukta: yeah I can very well see how okay you are...and there is nothing to feel embarrass about. We both are human beings and it is very natural to feel hungry. And don't worry...we can share the lunch.

Arnav with lots of hesitation took the spoon in his hand and took one bite. He closed his eyes in utter satisfaction. It's been months since he last ate homemade food. He kept eating one bite after another forgetting that he has someone else to share the lunch. Sanyukta looked at him amusingly. No doubt he was so much hungry. After finishing the lunch complete, he burps loudly.

Arnav (getting embarrass): I am sorry...

Sanyukta (chuckling): I guess the food was actually very delicious and by the way you are forgiven (she says teasingly)

Arnav : I am so sorry...I haven't eaten anything since noon and I got to eat the Indian homemade food after so long that I couldn't help but finish the whole lunch..i am really sorry

Sanyukta (chuckling) Don't worry I always carry something in extra. I do have an apple with me and I am fine with it.

Soon after satisfying their hungry stomach they both got back to work. After few hours when arnav was busy in reading the file for final supervision he felt some weight on his left shoulder. He turns his head only to find sanyukta sleeping by keeping her head on his shoulder. He looked at her face which was only showing innocence and purity.

Arnav: she looks so innocent and pure..How can someone leave her?...I am sure there must be something that has broken her marriage..(Shrugging off thoughts) well this is not my concern whatever happened with her. She just a mere employee and a responsibility given to me by harsh sir...it is forbidden for me to even think about her

He was about to jerk her head off his shoulder but she clutched his shirt tight in her fist. Arnav wasn't able to jerk her off him. Soon her found himself taking the support of the wall and sleeping with sanyukta in his arms.

I am honestly very much fed up with wattpad. I have to write this chapter twice. I was so happy thinking that I have written the most lengthy chapter till now but look what wattpad did.
