Preference #16: You get seriously hurt (Part 1)

Hello, Thank you so much for reading and I hope you like it. I've been working on this one for a few weeks and I like it. I would bring extra sneeze-paper... there will be a part 2 and maybe a part 3 to this, also please let me know if you want and angst ending or not, I'm not sure. As always please keep comments clean and Patton-friendly!

I realize that there are a lot of warnings, and I didn't want to trigger anybody, so yeah.

Warnings: Snakes, tourniquets, nearly drowning, mentions of CPR, knives, stabbing, vomit mention, food poisoning, getting hit by a car, family issues, surgeries

Logan:

you shivered as the cool autumn breeze blew, you hiking with Logan. surrounded by gorgeous trees, and a chilly breeze. Logan smiled as he continued to point out fascinating facts about the history of the trail, and the science behind the scenery.

you were just walking out of the trail when you walked to the car, not spotting the sand-colored snake awaiting there. you didn't notice til you heard a hiss, and felt an overwhelming searing pain in your leg. a scream escaped your throat while you saw Logan running over, scooping you up in his arms. he put a tourniquet on your injured leg, before throwing a very heavy stone, crushing the serpents head.

he went back, dialing 911, you were weeping in pain, as it pulsated through your system, Logan holding your head on his lap, as his tears flooded down his cheek and dripped on your face, him quickly wiping them off.

"Logan... can you tell me more about the rocks here?" you asked, looking up at him, tears streaming down both of your faces.

"w-well, when a volcano erupts-" Logan tried to say, his voice getting chocked by sobs. the ambulance came, helping your weak figure as Logan watched, finally letting a screaming sob out, how could he let this happen?

Patton:

you were trapped, under the water. the rope around your leg tightening as you crawled for air, your lungs begging for it, the struggle, the pressure building up, since you were underwater, you couldn't exactly see your tears, but you were crying, silent cries for help, someone to see.

you continued to claw, your head pounding, fighting to keep the air, struggling, were these what your last minutes were going to be? fighting for your life only to lose the battle? it seemed that way, as you continued to fight, no idea that Patton, above the surface, just noticed you were gone.

you heard yelling, and you wanted to scream back, but you couldn't. the pounding in your head growing unbearable. as your felt your fingers break the surface, but weakness caught up with you as you slumped, so tired. accepting that this was reality, that you would never be able to see Patton's face once again.

everything started fading to black and you didn't even noticed the arm shooting into the water, grabbing your wrist and yanking you above the surface. you didn't notice how Patton's face paled, or the agonized screams as he held you in his arms, before Logan pushed him away.

you couldn't have known Patton crying to the 911 operator, watching you receive CPR from Logan. and you had no idea you ended up in the hospital, not knowing that you were indeed, Alive.

Roman:

you held back your cries as the knife was held against your neck, the cool metal resting there, pinching the skin, you met Roman's desperate eyes, watching his mouth dropped open, yet nothing he could do unless he wanted you dying in his arms.

the robbers quickly went around the store, a small frightened whimper escaping your throat as you stared at Roman, praying he would be safe, and that you both would get out of this, you had never expected this walking into the store. you never expected to be ripped from Roman's arms, thrown against someone and pinned with a knife to your throat, but then again, who really expects that.

Roman handed over his money, his eyes never leaving you. one of the other customers was apparently not fast enough and the robbers pushed the knife a little harder against your skin, not enough to cut, but enough to make you silently cry of fear.

Roman wasn't sure what he could do, they would kill you in an instant if he moved, but he needed to help you, you looked so weak, and afraid, he was supposed to protect you. why didn't he hold onto you tighter, Roman's mind continued to fill with guilt and regret.

you breathed shallowly, as you were shoved around, sure the person holding you would leave bruises with their grip. you scanned around, hoping these wouldn't be your final moments, unsure of what could come next? you just wanted to be in Roman's arms, crying into his chest, but you couldn't, watching tears stream down his face. trying to be strong for you, but you could tell

everything finally seemed over, but that never is the case is it. the knife was removed from your throat, but planted deep into your abdomen seconds later. you screamed in agony, crumping to the ground. you heard people calling 911, but you could only focus on Roman. how he pulled your head into his lap, crying harshly, as he held you. that was the last thing you remembered before blacking out.

Virgil:

you were in a new town with Virgil, new sights, happy with your husband. but life is never that easy is it. you had begged Virgil to get Chinese food instead of McDonalds, because it was nice, you could have never know you'd be in the bathroom, your abdomen felt like it was on fire with cramps

you had vomited several times, and now were getting intense chills. the pain was awful and you couldn't think of anything but to call Virgil in here, so you did. Virgil walked in and quickly lifted you off the floor and onto his lap, rubbing your shoulder gently.

Virgil was freaking out inside but kept himself calm, he dialed your doctor and started speaking. while you tried not to yell, crying at the awful amount of pain. your crawled to the toilet and threw up once again. feeling like death itself was clawing you away, your head pounding with an awful headache, making everything so much worse

soon enough Virgil drove you to the clinic where you were brought to the back room, then he finally let himself cry, how could his happen, how could he let this happen, you were so happy, and you should have just gotten McDonalds

Janus:

you were riding your bike early this morning. Janus had gotten you back to what you loved doing, and you had recently picked up biking, you just really loved the freedom, the wind, the smell of the morning air.

you were currently biking more in the downtown area, the sun now proudly peaking over the sky with almost a smile on its rays. you smiled. you could have never seen it coming. you could have never known, all you saw was a car veering, then complete and total darkness.

Janus received a call from the hospital, and he was petrified. he was frantically running around, tossing on his shoes. and searching desperately for his keys. he grabbed your ID and his wallet before running out to the car and driving a little over the speed limit to get to you, he tried not to cry while driving, but tears did leak down his face.

he ran in and they brought him to your room, your face like a ghost, in a coma. your leg fractured in many places, you were going to need lots of help before you were anywhere near better, so he sat by your bed, crying softly, kissing your hand, begging you to wake up, but of course, you didn't respond.

Remus:

you sat in the room, tears running down your cheeks as you stared at Remus.

"this is what we've been waiting for, Rem..." you said, but a cry interrupted, Remus pulled you against his chest, stroking your hair as he cried, shaking and hugging tighter. you took in his scent. he was the only one here for you during this hard time

when you had left all those months ago, coming back, you didn't know what they would find, or how bad the surgery was going to be, the weeks seemed to roll by like the sun in the sky and before you knew it, it was time. so here you were

Remus holding you tightly as you cried into his chest, he kissed your forehead, crying as well, before you pulled him into a passionate kiss.

"Thanks Remus... you're the only one I have..." you said, thinking of how your family didn't care, how not one came to support you in any way, and while you just waited and waited. Remus now as the only person in your world. you were in the arms of your entire world.

"Remus... please keep this safe for me." you whispered into his chest, slipping off the ring Remus had given you, not yet being married, but the promise to do so, the promise of eternal love. Remus stared down, his tears hitting your face. he held the engagement ring in his palm, remember how 2 months ago he'd given it to you, how wonderful that moment was.

now here you were, not knowing if you would ever see him again, the hours ticking down into minutes. these were your final minutes before the surgery. you looked up at Remus, a sad smile on your face, as you pulled him into a passionate kiss, before giving him the letter you'd written, just in case.

"keep these safe for me." you said as nurses walked in, ready to take you over to the operating room, Remus hugged tightly.

"I will... I love you so much." Remus cried, you hugged back before having to pull away.

"I will always love you Remus Sanders." you cried, before walking out with the nurses, unsure if you would ever live to see Remus again.
