Transit Tickles (6 TS Ships)

Author's Note: HEY! Holy crap I'll probably never do this again. This was the project I was working on! I wanted to take a prompt and try to write a tickle fic for each of the main six ships. Then, relate each tickle fic back to that prompt. The prompt that I used for each of these was this: "Person A and B ride the bus together. Person A is standing up but grasps the rail that is high up, causing them to expose their armpit. Person B get's mischievous and starts poking them there. Hilarity ensues!" Now the one thing I kept the same in that prompt for each tickle fic, is the fact that they are on a bus. They are all different types of busses, but they are still on a bus. Also these fics are in different AUs and also take place in different age periods of the human sides' life. This is all just because I wanted to be a little creative for it. Each fic will have warnings and a word count before it, just so you are all aware of what might be in that fic. But in other words, I hope you enjoy all of these minifics I wrote! I don't think any of them are much over 1,000 words long.

A Stranger Saviour - (Strangers on a city transit)

Ships: Pre-romantic Prinxiety

Words ~ 1,151 ~

Warnings: Homophobia, Harrassment, Could be taken as Trans!Roman, but doesn't have to be, Mention of the 'f' word. Let me know if there's anything else.

~~~~~
Roman hardly ever rode the transit. It wasn't because he despised doing so, it was just all the weird characters that sometimes stared at him. It was clear he was gay from an outwards appearance, so when he saw people murmuring to themselves he wasn't sure if it was just judgemental remarks or something else that would make him very uncomfortable. As he stood there holding the rail, he saw two other men that were obviously straight pointing at him and laughing at the crop top and short shorts he was wearing. There were others too, but most of them just sent a couple whispers his way, then continued looking outside or talking amongst themselves. These two men were making it very apparent that they were talking about him.
He heard the 'f' word twice and quite frankly Roman was ready to burst into tears. He became even more aware of his state of mind when one of them began to walk up to him, wearing a wicked grin. Roman faced away from the headphone-wearing emo in the seat closest to him, so he didn't see the stranger move an earphone out of the way so he could listen in on their conversation.
"Hey cutie." He began. "Wanna be my girlfriend?" Roman felt his lower lip tremble and he gripped his handle bar a little tighter, refusing to look the man in the eyes.
"No need to cry baby. I'll take you for a good night." He winked and reached to grab his arm to pry it off of the bus handle. The emo quickly stood up and wrapped his hand around Roman's waist, and pushed the dude back.
"What are you doing to my boyfriend...?" He questioned in a menacing and angry voice. The man looked surprised at first, but then laughed.
"Your boyfriend? C'mon it's clear you don't know him because you two weren't talking at the beginning." He tried to advance again, but the emo kicked his shin and sent him backwards in pain.
"And it's also clear to me that both of you are a couple of homophobes that have no business bothering us." Roman just stood where he was, unable to defend himself or even move his gaze from the floor of the rickety transit bus. Though, the stranger's arm around him felt quite grounding and nice.
The other man who was chastising them, stood up from his seat and walked towards his friend. "Bro, this is our stop." The man in front of them only scowled, glaring in their direction and preceded to exit the bus along with his buddy as the transit rolled to a stop. The emo quickly released his hold from Roman, and coughed awkwardly.
"I'm...sorry. I didn't mean to intrude your space like that." He shoved his hands in pockets, surprised when he found Roman's free arm suddenly returning the hold.
"Thank you!" Roman cried into his neck. "Thank you so much. You have no idea how much I appreciated that." The emo lifted his chin gently, and wiped his tears with a thumb.
"Seriously, it was no trouble at all. The names Virgil by the way." Roman took the hand that Virgil held out with ease.
"Roman. A pleasure to meet you. Again I'm sorry." Virgil smiled.
"Really it's fine. I normally just ride the bus around with no aim, because I'm a people watcher. Where is your stop?" Roman looked down at the ground, blushing ever so slightly.
"It was where those two guys were getting off, but...I'm ok with going around one more time. I got nothing else to do." Virgil nodded and slid his earphones all the way down to his neck, preceding to grasp the rail with Roman as the two continued to introduce themselves and talk. Apparently, both acquaintances needed the conversation because it wasn't until Virgil spotted Roman's stop three separate instances did he realize how much time had passed. It didn't help that the sun had almost disappeared behind the mountains in the distance. As much fun as Virgil was having, he knew they were going to have to say goodbye eventually.
"Alright Roman. I really appreciated getting to know you, but your stops coming around for the fourth time, and I don't want you to have to miss it again." Roman pouted.
"But, I might never see you again." Virgil rolled his eyes fondly and got out a piece of paper, writing something on it, then stuffed it in Roman's purse.
"There. Now we can chat on the phone and go...I don't know...grab a coffee or something...later on..." That last part was drawled out in a shy manner. They both gave a small blush, and Roman gave him yet another one armed hug.
"Oh yes! That would be wonderful!"
"Heh. Great." The bus rounded the corner and he could see Roman's stop in the distance. Virgil noticed his new friend had begun to doze off, almost as if he was trying to miss his stop one more time in order to spend more time with Virgil. As much as the emo found that cute, he knew it wasn't the best idea as Virgil had things to do tonight too.
"Alright, Roman. You better get ready to get off." Roman grinned.
"But, I don't want to." Virgil matched the grin.
"Are you sure about that?" Roman nodded.
"Alright then. I'll make you get off." Virgil reached a hand to Roman's unprotected armpit, whose arm was currently grasping the high rail for stability. He slipped a finger into the crevice and swirled a little bit, causing Roman to gasp and giggle.
"Nohohohoho! Stop!" Virgil tickled just a little faster after seeing the stop inching closer and closer in their point of view.
"Not until you agree to take your stop and promise to text when you get home." Virgil added a few fingers, hoping to deter Roman from staying a bit longer. His giggles turned into laughter as his grasp on the railing begins to falter. Eventually his hand slips off at the exact moment the bus begins to slow down, causing Roman to lose his balance and fall directly into the arms of Virgil.
"Oof!" Virgil caught him with ease. The blush reddening down their necks and up to their ears were apparent to everyone on the bus, including the driver who gave a teasing honk to let the two acquaintances know he had stopped.
"Oh!" Roman scrambled to his feet, fixed his hair, and waved goodbye to Virgil. "Goodbye! Thank you for the save and the company! I'll text you soon!" Virgil waved back then responded by stretching his pinky and thumb out next to his face, mouthing the words "Call me." Roman giggled and quickly scampered off the bus. He took the piece of paper out of his purse, and smiled. He was very interested in this new friend he had made.
The Puzzle or me? (Husbands on a Greyhound Bus)
~~~~~

"Are you sure this is the right station, Patton?" Logan asked his husband while turning the road map around in his hands.

"It seems to be the place." Patton walked in the front door and checked the sign. "Hello and welcome to Greyhounds Transit of America...blah blah blah...great service...blah blah... Please keep personal belongings with you at all times blah blah...yup. It seems like it." Logan put the map away and filed in after Patton. They checked their bus times and were delighted to find it was on schedule.

"We're going to Ohio, Logan!" Patton hugged his husband excitedly.

"Yes, we are. Which I still don't see the reason to use the bus system. Driving there would have been faster."

"But this is cheaper." Patton reasoned as they got in line to board the bus. "My sister has personal relationships with the owners and we got these tickets for dirt cheap! Minecraft dirt cheap." Patton smirked playfully at Logan who just rolled his eyes.

"Minecraft dirt costs just as much as a Minecraft account does which...actually fits the bill for these tickets quite nicely. They each cost about thirty dollars. Well done Patton." Patton pecked Logan on the lips before entering the bus.

"See Logan? Sometimes I can speak your language." Logan chuckled.

"Sometimes..." He emphasized, holding nothing but endearment in his eyes as he followed Patton to their seats. Once they sat down, Logan realized he had left something in the bag he had put over head.

"What did you forget to get out with you, Logan?" Patton asked curiously, watching as Logan reached up to his back pack.

"My Alice and Wonderland puzzle book." Patton began to frown.

"Aww, you don't need that do you? You completely ignored me on that plane trip to New York because it was so interesting." Patton pouted and tugged Logan's shirt sleeve. "C'mon back down. Talking to me can't be that hard can it." Logan sighed guiltily.

"No it's not Patton, I just want it just in case." He kept rummaging around unbeknownst to Patton's severe pout below him. Then as he watched Logan's arms reach deeper into the overhead compartment, he got an evil idea. Patton innocently reached up, slipped a finger into Logan's armpit, and began to tickle. His husband let out a little squeak and began to wiggle around. It almost looked as if he was dancing in the aisle.

"Pahahaht! No! Please!" Patton smirked deviously.

"I'll stop, if you sit back down next to me and give me a smooch." Logan snorted and began to wiggle a little more as Patton's other hand joined in his torture.

"Pahahaht please!"

"Tickle tickle, Logy bear!" Patton said a little louder, now attracting the attention of the other passengers. Logan finally decided the embarrassment wasn't worth it.

"Ohohokay! Alright!" He clenched his arms to his sides and shut the overhead compartment. Patton drew his husband in tight for a hug when he went to sit back down next to him.

"Thank you so much, dear." He then gave his bespectacled husband a fond kiss and giggled when Logan returned the gesture with such passion.

"Was tickling really necessary?" Patton just hummed thoughtfully.

"Was your puzzle book really necessary?" Logan hung his head.

"Touche..." He grumbled, but couldn't stop a smile from growing on his face when Patton cuddled into him.

"Love you, Logy." His husband's expression softened and pulled Logan closer to him as well.

"I love you too, Patton."

Raised Up, Tensed Up - (Highschoolers riding bus home from school)

Ships: Pre-romantic Analogical

Words ~ 752 ~

Warnings: Feeling bad for no reason.

~~~~~
Virgil Mason swung his legs in opposite directions, waiting for the transit in the distance to pick him up from the bus stop. His best friend and possibly more, Logan Foley, sat next to him and solved his 5x5 Rubik's cube for the third time that day.
"There. Done." He held it up for Virgil to see and all the emo did was nod in acknowledgment. Logan frowned. He was usually a little more excited when he finished solving something everyone had thought impossible. Like those 3-dimensional mazes the dentist provided them with when Logan drove Virgil to his dentist appointment. The emo's jaw dropped open when he saw Logan had completed them in record time. Logan could tell Virgil had something else on his mind because of this.
They were silent for the rest of the wait, only excusing themselves as they formed a line with the rest of the crowd, filing into the stationery transit bus. Once on, Virgil walked to the back door and stood on his tippy-toes, holding the high rail. Logan stood with him, eyeing him every once and awhile to make sure he was alright. Virgil hated moving things. Virgil hated being on moving things even more though. He would rather walk, but to walk from school to his house would take him close to three hours. Logan would rather pick him up in his parent's car than make him take three hours of his personal time just to walk home.
Virgil kept saying he didn't mind, but Logan knew him all too well. "Virgil?"
The name startled the emo from his trance. "Huh? Yeah? What?"
"Are you alright?"
"Uh-huh. Yeah. Sure." Logan saw his eyes close again and he frowned. The bespectacled high schooler took a step closer and set a comforting hand on his shoulder. The emo shuddered and looked away a little.
"I'm fine." Logan coughed slightly.
"Clearly." Virgil chuckled at the sarcastic remark.
"Really Lo...I'm fine...just...tense." Logan nodded and moved to a space behind Virgil.
"Would you like a massage?" Virgil quickly sputtered. That was an odd suggestion, even coming from Logan.
"Wh-what?!" Virgil looked slightly taken aback.
"I just asked if you wanted a massage." Logan set his hands on Virgil's shoulders and he practically melted into the touch. Maybe it wasn't such a bad idea after all.
"Mmmm..." Virgil leaned back, letting Logan work his magic. Normally, he'd be worried about all the people watching, but there was hardly anyone around, and most of them were looking at their phones, talking to one another, or listening to music. He was awoken out of his bliss when Logan tapped his arm grasping the rail.
"Could you lower your arm for me? I'm having a difficult time, loosening up those joints if you arm is stretched all the way up." Virgil shook his head and motioned to the closest lower railing that was unfortunately out of reach from the door. And the last place Virgil wanted to be on the transit was away from the door.
"It's okay Logan. Just work with what you can." Logan raised an eyebrow, but tried to squeeze his shoulder muscle. The pressure elicited a gentle giggle from Virgil.
"Are you ticklish?" Logan asked, causing Virgil's face darken.
"I mean...isn't everyone?"
"Yes...but that wasn't my question." Logan squeezed the tensed muscle again and Virgil jerked again. Logan began to smirk, and stuck his thumb in Virgil's armpit. He then wrapped an arm around Virgil's middle, doing his best to hold him steady while the bus continued it's journey. The emo snorted and his arm quickly came down off the railing, to which Logan caught it with ease.
"Lohohohgan! Nahhahahahaha!" Logan held the arm to his side and began to massage that shoulder, now slipping his fingers into Virgil's ticklish armpits every once and awhile. Logan's best friend just kept squirming, but never once asked him to stop. When the nerd deemed all of the knots in Virgil's shoulders had been massaged out, he released him. Once he was out of his grip, he pretended to be angry much to Logan's amusement.
"What was that for?!" Logan chuckled.
"Don't act like you didn't enjoy it."
"But I didn't." Logan quickly grabbed onto his waist again, and snaked another set of fingers into his armpits.
"Try again."
"Ah! Ohohokay okay! Fine!" Virgil bit his lip as Logan released his hold and slowly leaned onto him again.
"Thanks...for...ya know...making me feel better."
"Anytime, Virgil." Logan smiled and hugged him. "Anytime."
Maddening Games of Mischief - (College Marching Band Trip)
Ships: Royality
Words ~ 999 ~
Warnings: Naughty Words, Anger Spurt, Manipulation.
~~~~~

A motorcoach travel bus rolled down the road towards the Florida coast. The Sander's University Marching Band was on a road trip to their next big competition along the Jacksonville coast. The trumpet section leader, Patton Hart, had his Nintendo switch out and was playing Breath of the Wild in the window seat located near the middle of the bus. His boyfriend, Roman Prince, (who was also the color guard captain), sat next to him and was playing a card game with Virgil Mason who was in the aisle seat across from him.

"Got any Twos?"

"Go fish." They were attempting to play Go fish using a regular deck of playing cards.

"Do you have any King's?" Virgil asked innocently.

"Again! How do you know which cards I have!? Are you cheating!? Logan better not be using that big brain of his to help you win!" He craned his neck to look at Virgil's bespectacled boyfriend who was preoccupied with a book in the seat next to Virgil.

"I assure you Roman. I am not aiding Virgil in anyway." He saw no need to give Roman eye contact and continued reading.

"Bullshit!" Roman spat. Virgil just rolled his eyes.

"You're just angry because you are losing."

"Am not!" Patton couldn't help but grin into his Nintendo Switch. Roman was too cute when he was offended. "If it's not Logan who's helping you, then who is it!?" Virgil's lips pursed into a smile. He then slapped a hand over his mouth, trying to hide an assortment of giggles threatening to escape.

"What?" Virgil gave a tiny snort and allowed himself to giggle just a bit more. "What!?" It was quite a sight really. As Roman raised his voice in frustration, Virgil's laughter intensity only continued to increase, until he was practically laying on Logan's lap and dying of laughter. Both Patton and Logan were beginning to wish they had brought ear plugs.

"What in the world are you laughing about!?" Roman yelled, catching the attention of practically the entire bus. Virgil's laughter finally went high pitched and everyone listened to the rare sound. Even Logan was hiding a small smile and patted his giggling boyfriend's shoulder's comfortingly.

"Ihihihits....ihihits..." Eventually Virgil was able to catch his breath and explain himself. "Ihihit's my little brother's. He wrote what each card was on the back of it as a prank so he would always win. I'm surprised you didn't realize sooner!" Virgil grinned as Roman's shoulders dropped in disbelief. He quickly flipped over a card in his hand and scoured it for any markings. Sure enough, in the top right corner there was a small letter and marking, indicating what suit, number, or face the card was.

Roman instantly flipped his shit, to which Virgil cackled at his antics once again. He stood up, yelled loudly, and slammed the card on the ground, or rather watched it flutter after he had whisked it through the air. The bus roared with laughter alongside Virgil, only interrupted by their chaperone Talyn.

"ROMAN PRINCE! GET YOUR ASS BACK IN YOUR SEAT! We're on a moving Vehicle!" The color guard captain ignored them.

"Yeah Roman. What are you, 12?" Virgil agreed chastising him and dangling a card in front of his face. Logan grabbed his boyfriend's arm from behind him and made him sit straight.

"That's enough Virgil. I was afraid you were going to go too far." Roman just kept standing, holding his face in his hands as it was obvious he was having a pity party for himself.

"Roman!" Talyn shouted again. After receiving no response from him, Logan took it upon himself to settle the matter.

"Patton. Control your boyfriend please." Patton hart was well aware of the situation and had put his Switch away about a minute ago.

"With pleasure." Patton suddenly reached up and latched onto Roman's hips trying to pull him down. Roman squeaked and held onto the top of the bus, trying to keep himself from falling.

"Roman! Patton! Both of you!" Talyn called again. Patton just smirked and slithered a hand into Roman's armpit making him squeal again. As Patton tickled, Roman wriggled, until finally he let go of the top of the bus and plummeted straight into Patton's arms. Patton pulled his still sulking and angry boyfriend closer, gently wiggling his fingers along his sides and ribs.

"Nohohohoho..." Roman whined and pushed at Patton's fingers, even though he was doing nothing to deter his boyfriend from continuing.

"Finally." Virgil pushed the last of his giggles out. "I didn't think it would be that bad, honestly."

"Uhh yeah, Virgil." Patton began. "You went just a little far. I'll calm him down, though." Patton ran his none tickling hair through Roman's fluffy locks.

"Like hell you will." Mumbled Roman, Patton's comforting touch doing just that. Patton faked gasped at his boyfriend's words.

"What? Why did that come out of your mouth? Oh you are so going to regret that Roman Caleb Prince." Before the color guard captain could respond, Patton's fingers dove for his armpits again, swirling and scratching menacingly. Roman snorted and bucked his body, twisting to get out of his grip. Virgil then chuckled darkly and grabbed onto Roman's flailing legs.

"Get 'em Patton! Get 'em! I'll hold his legs down." With nowhere to escape, Roman prince could do nothing but laugh at his boyfriend's mercy. Eventually, Patton slowed down his tickles and smiled when Roman cuddled into him after the tickling.

"See? He's fine now." Virgil scoffed and leaned onto Logan, a little jealous of how much physical touch Roman was receiving. The bookworm snaked his arm around Virgil's waist, much to the delight of the emo.

"Fine now. But what about later? Is he gonna rip up my brother's cards in anger?" Patton chuckled, a little surprised to find Roman's breath had evened out due to the rise and fall of his chest.

"Nah. Leave that to me. I'll be the one to make sure he stays under control."

I'll Walk For You - (Elderly Couple Dial A Ride)

~~~~~
A dial-a-ride pulled up to a one story house that resided on the corner of a suburban neighborhood. As the door opened and wheelchair lift lowered to the ground, the driver stepped out to knock on the door. He didn't have to get far though, as an elderly gentleman with a grey cat sweater tied around his chest carefully rolled out an occupied wheelchair. The man in the wheelchair was clad in a black hoodie even though it was summer time, but the driver thought better than to judge.
"Good afternoon." The driver began. "To where will I be taking you today?" The man with the cat hoodie passed the wheelchair to the driver and walked beside them.
"Walmart please!" He said, his age hardly betraying the tone of voice or optimism.
"Unfortunately. I wish we could go to food lion or Publix instead. They have better customer service. And the workers don't look as if they are given the bread of the devil." The man in the wheelchair grumbled. His husband chuckled and bent down to his level, as if gently teasing him.
"You just like their handicap carts better than Walmart's, Virgil." A blush passed across Virgil's face.
"So what? That's not the only thing I like better about them, Patton." Patton laughed heartily then turned to the driver.
"You should have seen him at Publix the other day. The moment I got him sat down in one of those carts, he was zipping and drifting around corners. I could barely keep up with him!" The driver just laughed awkwardly.
"Oh wow. Way to keep your inner child alive." Virgil hid in his hoodie, just a little red about his husband's jests.
"Oh c'mon, Virgil. Don't be embarrassed. I thought it was cute." The driver rolled Virgil carefully onto the wheelchair and Patton watched with fondness as the elder emo buried his face in the reusable walmart bags he held on his lap. Once in the mini-bus, the driver secured Virgil's wheelchair near the front of the vehicle, then shut the doors, and began their trek towards wal-mart.
For the first five minutes of the ride, Virgil sat there playing Unblock me on his phone, until he realized Patton had been standing next to him the whole time, holding the high rail for stability. He looked at him confused.
"Um, Pat? You should sit. I don't want your knees giving out anytime sooner than they have to." His husband just smiled and booped his nose, to which Virgil wrinkled it cutely.
"Oh hush. I promise I'm ok. Plus, I want to spend every minute I get by your side." Virgil bit his lip, to keep that same treacherous blush from spreading across his face once more.
"As adorable as that is Patton, I sleep next to you every night and I can't get along without you by my side in any case! Whether it's helping me get dressed, or taking a shower. You can take time for yourself too, you know." Virgil stated. He needed Patton to know that his own time was just as valuable as Virgil's. But, Patton just smiled.
"I know Virgil. I promise it's okay." The elder emo looked down sadly.
"But...like...don't you get tired of me sometimes?" Patton cupped Virgil's wrinkly face with his free hand, caressing it softly.
"Oh Virgil. How could I ever get tired of the one I love?" Virgil allowed the blush to stay this time, and burst into happy laughter for the first time that day.
"Gosh, you are such a sap. And I absolutely love you for it." He intertwined his fingers with Patton's. He frowned once he saw Patton's lightly shaking knees as he tried to remain stable on the rickety bus. Patton was just too sweet for his own good. He would always put others before himself, even if it would ultimately lead to his demise. This is when Virgil knew he had to do something to get his butt in a seat.
"Pat. You're shaking. Please sit." Patton looked away for a moment.
"I'm fine Virgil."
"No you aren't. Look. Sit in that seat right there." He pointed to the empty seat right across from him. "You won't be too far away. And you can sit and hold my hand at the same time." Patton said nothing. That man could be very stubborn sometimes. Virgil took a deep breath and reached his hand towards Patton's upper side. There was a tickle spot that Patton had, located just below his armpit, but right above his ribs. Virgil didn't want to startle his husband, but he needed to know that he would take care of himself too.
He poked his pointer finger in and lightly swirled, noting the shiver that went down his husband's spine and the odd series of elbow shifts that Patton performed. Eventually he began to chuckle.
"V-virgil. He-ey! What are you doing?"
"Please sit Pat." Virgil repeated, drawing a figure eight pattern that swirled up into his armpit and down around the top of his ribs. He noted Patton's grip on the railing, watching to make sure he wasn't doing too much to where he would lose his balance and fall. Patton just stood there and took it however.
"Nohohope!" Virgil weighed his options. The Wal-mart was still half an hour away. Patton couldn't stand that amount without resting, or using his walker which they had both foolishly left at home. Virgil had one last idea.
"Alright. Fine. If you don't have your butt in that seat by the count of three. I'm going to make you sit." Patton looked at him as if he didn't believe he'd actually follow through with the threat. He just continued to giggle and wiggle at Virgil's finger gently tickling his armpits and ribs.
"You're cu-ute, Virgil." Virgil scoffed.
"Alright fine. You have to the count of three. One." Virgil poked a bit more, but Patton did hardly anything except give off a series of louder chuckles. "Two." Patton still did nothing. "Three!" It was at this moment, Virgil began to slowly arise from his wheelchair. Patton's eyes widened in horror. Virgil was not lame, his legs just didn't work as well as they used to, but this didn't mean he couldn't hobble short distances.
He planted his feet on the floor, inching himself slowly to his full height, before taking baby steps across the bus. Now the bus was still moving, and the driver and the other people on the bus were very aware of the situation. Some of the younger men on the dial-a-ride, began to leave their seat in fear of Virgil's or Patton's safety so if one of them were to lose their balance and fall they could catch them before they hit the ground. But thankfully, neither of those situations happened. Virgil was able to hold the railing with one hand, gently pushing at Patton's chest with the other.
"Virgil No! You get right back in that chair mister! Virgil!" Virgil completely ignored Patton's protest and a grin spread across his face as he finally got him to where he needed to be. Once Patton's rear end lined up with the seat he pointed at earlier, he pushed Patton again and his husband gently fell into the seat behind him with a dumbfounded expression. But, Virgil's smile hit peak smugness when he too took a seat, but it wasn't the seat next to Patton. The seat was Patton's lap.
"Ah much better!" He joked, slinging an arm around Patton's neck, and hooking one leg over the arm of Patton's chair. He then pressed a kiss to his husband's face, satisfied that the blush was growing on him instead of Virgil. It was cute trying to watch Patton be mad while he was blushing. The rest of the bus was grinning with Virgil too.
"Tha-at...was very dangerous Virgil. Don't...don't do that again." Virgil rolled his eyes to the side as if to think.
"Maybe I won't, if next time you take the seat like I ask you too." Virgil then took his hand, a serious and worried warmth spread through him as he looked into his husband's eyes. "Patton. We're getting older. You can't take care of me like you used to. And you have to stop ignoring your own needs. If you keep putting others first when you seriously have a health problem, you eventually aren't going to be able to help anyone at all." Patton frowned, a sadness filled his eyes along with the understanding that Virgil had desperately been searching for.
"Okay...I'm sorry Virgil." He kissed his lips sweetly and Virgil relaxed into the romantic gesture. "I promise to take care of myself from now on, as much as I take care of you."
Hidden Happiness - (Elementary School Bus Ride)
~~~~~

Once a school bus parked outside of a middle-class home, a little boy quickly scrambled out of the door carrying his red backpack all the way up to the door. He jumped a bit signaling to the driver he was there, then hopped in once the doors swung open. He bounded up the stairs happily.

"Good morning Mrs. Wilson!"

"Good morning, Roman." She chimed watching as he scooched down the aisle, dodging other excited kids' paper airplanes or loud voices. He scanned the pews, until finally his eyes spied a familiar blue bowtie near the back of the bus.

"Logan!" He cried happily and hurried to where the boy was sitting, flopping on the seat next to him. "Hello!" He wrapped his arms around the boy who gently returned it.

"Hello, Roman. How are you today?"

"Great! I lost my tooth last night and the tooth fairy gave me 5 dollars for it!" He opened his mouth and showed his friend the lost tooth.

"Oh. Did it hurt?" Roman shook his head.

"Nope it came right out!"

"Oh good. Sometimes teeth hurt when they pop out. I'm glad to know you are currently pain free." Roman just giggled and pulled Logan into a tight cuddle.

"I love how smart you are." Logan blushed and hid his face in Roman's neck.

"Shh. Not on the bus, Ro. You know how judgemental people are." Roman just grinned.

"But I love you! Why would I hide it?" The boy in the bowtie was gently lifted up by Roman's arms and placed on his lap. Logan knew Roman was extremely affectionate with those that he liked or enjoyed the company of, but it still took some getting used to. He decided to not protest as Roman gently rocked him on his lap.

"Why do you like me so much Roman? None of the other kids do." Logan remarked sadly.

"I like you!" The child piped up. "You're smart. You can out think anyone here at our school. Even some teachers aren't as smart as you. Also, I feel the same way as you, because I'm too loud or annoying for some kids. You don't seem to mind me too much though. I feel special when you don't push me away." Roman's bright smile melted Logan's little heart into a pool of goo. He blushed.

"Oh. That's...that's good." That was all the bow-tied child could say before he felt happy tears well up into his eyes. Roman's eyebrows raised in alarm at the sight.

"Oh no Logan! I didn't mean to make you cry. I'm sorry." Roman cuddled his nerd closer.

"No no. It's not a bad thing, Roman." Logan wiped his eyes. "It was a happy cry." Roman quirked a brow in confusion.

"You can happy cry? That's a thing?" Logan nodded.

"If someone feels too much of a feeling and their body can't take it, they cry out the chemicals that are causing them to feel that feeling. Then they become okay again."

"Why would you want to cry the happiness out?" Roman asked again, and wiped a couple tears off of Logan's lil' chubby cheeks.

"Sometimes it's just too much happiness." Logan shrugged, implying he didn't have a better answer.

"But...I don't want you to lose happiness." Roman said with a frown.

"I promise it's alright Roman."

"No it's not!" The sudden outburst startled the nerd on his lap. "I can't have you losing happiness!"

Logan now worried for his friend. "Roman. It's okay...I'm still happy."

"But not happy enough..." This got Logan thinking about what would constitute as happy enough for Roman.

"Oh!" Roman exclaimed! "I have an idea." Logan's eyes flew wide as he saw Roman making grabby fingers at him with a wide smile.

"Oh dear." He tried to scramble away, but Roman kept him on his lap and gently dove his hands into his armpits. The little nerd quickly squealed and began to giggle. Logan never did mind tickling, and at least Roman had the idea to be gentler in his intensity than most of his bear hugs.

"Heehee! Giggle Logan! Giggle! Do you feel your happiness coming back?" Roman scuttered his hands down to his sides, then back up.

Logan flailed and pushed lightly at his friend's hands. "It never left." He breathed out between giggle fits. He turned over, trying to stop Roman from gaining access to his sides, but all it did was give him his tummy. Roman saw a bit of his friend's shirt ride up and he took the liberty to slide a hand underneath and scratch at Logan's belly.

"Tickle tickle Logie!" The nerd snorted and quickly caught Roman's wrists in his hands, lifting them off of his person. His breath returned and chased the rest of his giggles away.

"Was...was that really needed?" Roman's eyes sparkled with mirth as he let up his onslaught and instead intertwined his fingers with Logan's.

"I dunno. But you're happy now! You're smirking and smiling." He gave Logan another big hug. "I love it when my friends smile." Logan instantly returned it.

"Me too."
