The Space Inbetween (Analogical)

Author's Note: Hey everyone! Wow. This was a hard fic to write! Number one because it's zero gravity and number two characterizations just aren't up to par today. I'm not sure why that is. Anyways, I hope you enjoy this little gift I have to offer you all. Let me know if the tickle fight part is a little confusing. I was trying to write it in Zero-Gravity and I think I did ok. Anyways though. All warnings will be put below, because this is written just a little bit different than my other tickle fics. It's basically a Space AU. Love you all! Enjoy!

"Probe 1?"

"Functioning normally. All intermolecular and technological functions are stable as of now."

"Probe 2?"

"Same as Probe 1."

"Probe 3?"

"Fully functional as well."

"Probe 4?"

"Also in working order."

"How about this? Instead of giving me 546 more synonyms that tell me each probe is 'fully functional', you tell me which probes aren't and we can get this job done a whole lot faster."

"Virgil, that's not Probe 5." The purple haired boy, Virgil, sighed back in his seat, slapping his hands to the scientific keyboard in complete irritation.

"Logan this is boring. Fifty times this month we've checked them, Lo! Fifty! Can we just... write down which ones are having trouble and call it a day?"

The brunette next to him adjusted his glasses, seeming to have no sympathy for Virgil's boredom.

"No Virgil. We must continue this routine. Do you think I enjoy this anymore than you? I'm simply pushing my emotions out of the equation so I can work now and complain later. I suggest you do the same." Virgil gave a sound huff before leaning his head on his elbow, twirling around in his swivel chair aimlessly.

"Probe 5..."

"It's working..."

"Like us." Logan chuckled, quite amused at Virgil's comeback.

"I suppose so. Next."

"Probe 6." Virgil mumbled, watching the world spin slowly through a window thousands of miles below their tiny space station.

"Operational." The space station was silent for a moment, save for the constant clicks from Logan's typing on his keyboard.

Virgil yawned. "Probe 7."

"Currently active." Logan turned his attention away momentarily from his computer screen, to eye his drowsy boyfriend who looked as if he was putting his head down on a high school desk. "You better not be falling asleep on me Virgil. I will wake you if you do. And rudely at that."

"I'm not asleep." Virgil stated from where his voice was muffled by his arm. "I'm just resting my eyes." Logan could barely see his face through the fringe of his boyfriend's hair. "Probe 8...?"

Logan sighed, shaking his head with fondness as he returned to his keyboard. "In good condition."

"Probe 9." Virgil's voice got quieter and quieter as it seemed he'd finally found the perfect comfy spot to nestle into on his desk.

"Doing its job." Logan continued typing until Virgil's breathing seemed to even out.

Logan rolled his eyes. "Virgil..." The spectacled scientist unbuckled his seat and crouched on his chair. "What did I tell you about falling asleep?" He eyed the distance between him and Virgil before carefully pushing off, letting zero gravity carry him the rest of the way.

He arrived at Virgil's chair, carefully anchoring himself onto its side before shaking the emo awake. "Come on Virge."

He grunted awake and shifted away from Logan's hands, whining in the process. "Nooooooo..."

"Wake up Virgil." The purple-haired boy refused to move from his seat or show his face.

"Fuck off..." Logan pursed his lips before reaching for Virgil's seat buckle and began to undo it.

"If I'm told to "fuck off" then you are coming as well." Virgil began floating just above his seat as the safety straps released their hold on him.

"Wha?" Virgil was forced to lift his head from his desk. Logan withheld a grin and gently grabbed his boyfriend's hand before kicking off of Virgil's chair and making his leisurely way back to his own.

"Wait-Lo wtf are you doing?!" Virgil was effortlessly pulled from his chair and watched as it passed underneath his floating body. He wrestled against Logan's grip, but found his exhaustion had sapped any strength or leverage he had against his bespectacled significant other.

Logan chose to ignore Virgil's feeble attempts at escaping, until he had made it back to his own chair and buckled himself up again single-handedly.

"Lo-what?" Now safely back in his chair and not floating anymore he pulled Virgil from his floating position straight into his lap. It was only then did he notice Virgil had stopped complaining.

Once Virgil realized his final destination was Logan's lap, he quickly struggled to curl up, making a show of being as wiggly as possible until he'd found the perfect cuddle spot. Logan immediately regretted this decision after seeing how a Virgil on his lap would greatly affect his focus levels, but on the bright side he wasn't complaining anymore. He ran a hand through his boyfriend's hair before replacing it back on his keyboard. He had to make space between his chair and the desk in order to accomodate Virgil, but it was only a small sacrifice to make for the company of his cuddly boyfriend.

"Alright. Now that we are both adequately satisfied can we please continue checking the probes Virgil?"

"Nngh." Virgil nuzzled his face into Logan's side, causing him to flinch slightly. "Don't want to..."

"Virgil...would you rather be back in your own empty chair?" A higher pitched whine escaped from Virgil's throat.

"Ok ok fine! Probe 10." Virgil shook off as much of his exhaustion as he could.

"Normal status."

"Probe 11." Virgil then blew his bangs out of his face in growing annoyance.

"It works."

"I want coffee..." Logan shot a glare to the emo currently curled up in his lap.

"I do too. Next probe, please." Logan rolled his eyes and continued typing.

"Then why don't we get some?" Virgil lifted his head so he could have a better chance of catching eye contact with Logan, hoping he'd agree with his statement. Unfortunately, he didn't.

"Next probe Virgil." This time Logan didn't even look at Virgil.

"We need a coffee probe...one that can bring us coffee. Why can't we invent that?"

"That's unrealistic Virgil. Our hands can do that just fine."

"But like...our hands can't float away from our bodies and bring us coffee." Virgil made a show of stretching an arm out towards where the coffee machine lay strapped down to one of the station's built in tables. Logan huffed and shook his head fondly.

"You can reach all you want Virgil, but the coffee will not make itself nor will it come to you." Virgil continued to reach regardless if he knew his efforts would work or not.

"Fuck you! I do what I want!"

"Such strong language for someone whose practically curled up on my lap." Logan took a quick glance at Virgil's unprotected armpit before slipping a finger into the short sleeve, lightly caressing the delicate armpit hairs.

Virgil quickly let out a shriek and clamped his underarm down, but Logan was able to remove his finger before Virgil trapped him. He snapped his attention back to the computer screen, avoiding his boyfriend's gaze and hoping to look oblivious to what had just transpired.

"What was that for?" Virgil glared darts at his boyfriend, getting even more upset that he seemed to be ignoring him.

"What was what for, Virge?" Logan kept his eyes fixed on the computer screen, knowing full well that keeping a straight face would prove a challenge.

"Oh no. Don't you dare play dumb with me Logan L Sanders. You just tickled me didn't you?" Virgil sat up, poking at Logan's chest. Logan's lips wavered almost curving up into a smile before he could relax his mouth back into a thin line. Virgil must have noticed, because a wicked grin quickly spread over his features. "Don't want to admit it, hm?" He gently laid back down on Logan's back in his prior position. Once he was eye level with Logan's belt, he gently pinched the fabric of Logan's shirt and began to untuck it from his boyfriend's pants.

Logan shivered once the atmosphere's temperature ran across his skin. He looked down to where the feeling was coming from, just in time to see Virgil pressing his lips to Logan's exposed hip.

"Virgil! No don-NNNGH!" Logan's body jolted involuntarily once he felt the vibrations course through the sensitive spot. He heard Virgil chuckle darkly from below him before another raspberry caught him off guard once again.

"Aaahahah! No Vihirgil! Off!" Logan quickly pressed a button on his chair, causing it to scoot backwards away from his desk at an alarming rate. Virgil hadn't held on fast enough and the chair was pulled out from under his floating body, sending him spinning towards the floor of the space station. He quickly regained his balance after kicking himself off of the floor and grabbing a hold of his boyfriend's desk.

"Get back here Logan!" The bespectacled scientist quickly fumbled for his chair buckle, nervously watching as Virgil managed to stabilize himself on Logan's desk. The emo crouched and gave his boyfriend a toothy grin before jumping off and floating towards him.

At that time Logan was able to free himself of his buckles and push off his own chair towards the ceiling of the space station, but he was too slow, because Virgil had already grabbed a hold of his left foot.

Logan let a small sound of surprise escape his mouth once he felt Virgil 's hands begin to strip him of his shoe and sock. Logan kicked at him with his other foot hoping to dislodge his grasp, but Virgil had effortlessly captured his other foot as well, quickly stripping that foot as well

"Wahait! Virgil nohoho stohohohohop!!" But Virgil had already began scribbling his fingers all over Logan's soles. The station quickly filled with adorable giggles, eventually turning into laughter because the emo scientist had found the sensitive skin underneath Logan's toes. Eventually, Logan retrieved his barings and enough strength to quickly curl under himself. The rotational momentum Logan had flipped him upside down, which in turn brought Virgil along for the ride because he tightened his grip once he felt the foot start to slip from his grasp.

"Waahh!!" Virgil screeched as he was thrown up over the top of Logan's body, guided by the foot. Once at the perfect angle, Logan quickly yanked his foot out of Virgil's grasp. With nothing to hold onto but empty space, Virgil was sent hurtling towards one side of the space station.

Logan stabilized himself out of his flip by grabbing onto the arm, watching a screaming Virgil floating away from him. It was Logan's turn to chuckle darkly, as he pushed off of the chair with his feet and headed towards Virgil's form. He quickly caught up with him right after Virgil's back hit the wall, and pinned him as much as the zero-gravity room would let him.

Before Virgil could respond or complain, Logan was tickling his armpits again, only this time using all five fingers in each armpit.

"AAHAHA LOGAN NOhohohohh!! I'm sorryyhyhyhy!" Virgil's wiggling form pushed against the wall, shoving both forms back floating into the middle of the room. Logan let his grin show, now tickling up and down his boyfriend's sides, kneading at the sensitive hips with every chance he got.

"No you aren't. Don't give me that lie." Logan smirked, his hands wandering up and under Virgil's shirt.

Virgil growled playfully and grabbed at his boyfriend's hands, pushing them out and away from his sides. This gave him enough time to deliver a couple pokes to Logan's unprotected belly, which he did in a generous dose. His bespectacled boyfriend quickly snorted, dissolving into higher pitched giggles than what was normal for his voice. Virgil didn't let the chance of vulnerability escape him and he quickly grabbed onto his wrists, tickling with one hand all over Logan's torso.

"Tickle tickle tickle Lo! Aww. Why you gotta hide your giggles?" He watched as one of Logan's hands slip from out of his grasp to muffle the giggles pouring out of his mouth. Virgil let go of his other hands and pulled the other away, to reveal a bright pink blush spreading across Logan's cheeks. "God you're so cute Lo. Once again I'm reminded why I still put up with all this work we do every single day."

Logan took a couple deep breaths and chased the rest of his lingering giggles away. He smiled, pressing a fond kiss to Virgil's temple. "Why do you think I still continue to put up with your complaining? Plus to be honest you are adorable when you complain."

Virgil huffed in disbelief. "Is that why you tickled me when I reached?"

Logan smirked a little wider. "Maybe." Virgil gave a playful shove before burrowing his face into his boyfriend's neck.

"Is playtime over then?" Logan wrapped his arms around the whining form.

"Yes. I'm afraid so, but...I think you've managed to change my mind for once Virgil."

"Huh?" The emo took his face out of Logan's neck to look into his boyfriend's shining eyes.

"How about a coffee break first, then we'll continue working?" Virgil's eyes lit up like fireworks and he quickly enveloped his boyfriend into a hug.

"Aww, so you do care!" He kissed Logan's cheek before making his way over to the coffee machine. Had he lingered by his boyfriend's side a little longer, he would have noticed the adorable blush pink further from the tips of his ears down to his neck. Try to get rid of it as he may, Logan was unable to. Not that he minded though, he still couldn't believe he was lucky enough to work with his best friend.
