To say the last few months had been hell for Remus would be an understatement. He was able to escape to Roman and his' shared room whenever a side would wiggle his fingers at him, but once he wandered back out he would be quickly tickled before he could even utter a word. So he stood in front of his mirror, tracing the dry makeup streaks that had run with his tears of laughter earlier that day. He couldn't go anywhere without being tickled and he deemed it all Virgil's fault.

Remus pushed the thought away that Deceit might have betrayed him before Virgil. It was not currently the reality so he had a vendetta only against Virgil. Now that the little twerp was a so-called 'light side', the others including Thomas had complete advantage of their weaknesses. This is exactly what happened with Remus's ticklishness. Now, the light sides hadn't grown up with Virgil but Remus did, so he had the ability to get Virgil back for his gossipping with a secret of his own. Unbeknownst to the others, Virgil was just as ticklish as Remus if not more. And the Duke had all of his tickle spots memorized.

A malicious smile picked up the corners of his lips as a plan began to form in the back of his mind. Memories of little Virgil flooded back to him, depicting how they played when they were younger. Remus had always been taller than Virgil and often took advantage of it, slightly bullying the ex-dark side but never to the point of tears.

Often after a panic attack, Deceit would thrust a crying baby Virgil into Remus's arms to calm him down. And Remus would use slapstick and physical humor to get him to stop crying. Tickling was a big past time that Virgil enjoyed when he was younger. As they grew, Remus found Virgil began to grow stronger than him physically and soon the duke was the victim of Virgil's tickle attacks, not that he minded at least back then.

Now that all the sides new of Remus's ticklishness it was about time that he returned the favor. With an evil glint in his eyes, he plotted his tickle attack. He paced about the room humming to himself in thought about how to get each side to watch Virgil's ticklish demise. Once he got his devious idea, he quickly began to execute it.

The duke wanted to do one big show in front of all the sides and Thomas in order to embarrass the anxious side. Not only would this be his revenge, but it would allow Virgil to loosen up a little bit. So...it would be a win-win situation for all parties involved. Deceit would be proud, which he was when the plan was revealed to him. To make sure everyone was present at the time of Remus's tickle attack, he and Deceit revealed themselves near the end of their usual Friday night onesie party.

Deceit had promised Remus that he would protect him if any of the sides decided to lunge for him and thus their plan was set into motion.

"Waaah!" Patton and Thomas fell off the couch as the two dark sides approached their whereabouts. Logan and Virgil only rolled their eyes in annoyance.

"Ugh! What are you two doing here?" Roman asked summoning his sword.

"Now now Roman. There's no need for that." Deceit shot a hand and swiped the sword from Roman's grasp, tossing it down the hall and out of his reach.

     "Hey!"

Virgil ignored Roman and walked over to Deceit and Remus, a scowl on his face. "What do you two want?" He barked, shielding the other four behind him. Deceit and Remus chuckled evilly, ready to put their plan into motion.

"Oh nothing." Remus chuckled. "I just wanted to see how my adorable giggle monster was doing." At that point, Virgil was extremely thankful that he was not turned towards Thomas or the other light sides. His face grew a deep red as he recognized the playful nickname that Remus had given him when he was a child. Immediately, he knew this was Remus's version of revenge.

He tried to play it off like it was nothing so no one behind him would get suspicious. "Heh. Sorry Remus. The only giggle monster here is you." He shot Remus the worst death glare, but all it did was get the creative aspect even more excited to expose Virgil for his ticklishness.

"Oh, I beg to differ, Virgeypoo." The duke twirled his moustache watching as the other nickname struck Anxiety square in the face, spreading his blush to the tips of his ears.

"N-no..." Virgil was falling into one of his old lee moods, and he was doing it in front of everyone. That news made his mood much, much worse.

"Virgil!!" Patton and Logan both rushed in, attempting to save their friend, but they were blocked by Deceit's many limbs.

"Ah ah ah! Not yet." He chuckled, flicking his tongue teasingly in their direction.

Thomas scampered to his feet, fearing for his anxious trait. "What's going on?"

Remus walked up to a Virgil who had currently been teased to his knees.

"Let's just say that I'm not the only ticklish dark side here, isn't that right my little Virgeypoo?" Remus grinned, ecstatic that Virgil was unable to fight back due to the power of cute nicknames.

"N-no..." Virgil tried to counter, but he found himself rolled over and straddled by the duke. Virgil meekly pushed at his chest, but his strength was sapped by his lee mood.

"Heehee! Since you seem to be so fond of your new friends, why don't I show them how we used to play when Thomas was young? Do you recall a few of our tickle games? Hm?"

Virgil's eyes widened with horror as he realized where this was going. "No! No! Stop! Anything but that!" Remus touched his nose to Virgil's, a devious grin spread on his face. He made an effort not to stop Virgil's hands because he needed the rest of the sides to know that deep down he actually enjoyed this.

"Why not? You used to giggle and laugh so hard you'd cry! Then you'd ask me to keep going!"

"No I didn't!!!" Virgil cried out, but Deceit turned towards the other sides and grinned.

     "He's lying."

"Be nice to him!" Patton shouted at Remus.

"Oh don't you worry Popcorn! I won't hurt a hair on his chinny chin chin!" Remus took this time to wiggle a gentle finger under Virgil's chin and a gentle giggle escaped with the whines. "D'awww. Whose the giggle monster? Do you know Virgil? I think we're gonna find out who the giggle monster is. Are you ready?"

In this game, Virgil would attempt to hold in his giggles for as long as possible as Remus attempted to find the giggle monster. If all his tickle spots were tried and Virgil still didn't laugh, then he would win. But, Remus specifically designed the game so Virgil would laugh each time. There were other games they played, but Remus knew he would have time for only one. And this one proved to be the absolute worst for poor Virgeypoo.

Remus began by locating all of his tickle spots with his eyes and choosing a melt spot at the beginning. A single finger touched down on his bare hip and began drawing lazy circles after Remus teasingly pushed his shirt up. "N-n-oo!" Virgil protested, but he somewhat didn't want to stop the Duke.

"Is here the resting place of the giggle monster?" Virgil bit his lip, refusing to give Remus the satisfaction he wanted. He knew the rules of the game and what lengths he needed to go in order to win. Unfortunately, he saw no way out except through his laughter.

Frowning at the lack of reaction, Remus swirled his finger up to his side. "How about here Virgeypoo? Is this the resting place of the tickle monster?"

Virgil bit his lip a little harder, turning his head just a little bit to examine the extremely worried faces of his friends and Thomas. He shuddered when the Duke hit a particular sensitive spot and his head snapped back to stare him in the face. He shook his head once in response, waiting to take on the challenge like he had when he was a child.

Remus beamed and his grin settled into a warm smile, his original intent completely shifting into a new direction. "Cutie." He winked at Virgil before taking his swirling finger across his ribs. A small gasp was emitted from Virgil's lips and the anxious facet schooled them back into a frown.

"Oh so close!" Remus taunted. "You don't usually slip up there! It makes me wonder just how sensitive you've become over the years. The finger traverse from his ribs up into his armpit and Virgil could barely contain a snort from the foreign sensation.

By now, the others had realized there was something else taking place here and not just revenge with malicious intent. They had stopped trying to fight Deceit and were just observing from afar.

"Tickle tickle, giggle monster! If that is what you are." Remus teased lightly, enjoying the blush that lit up Virgil's face like a firecracker as he quickly shook his head no.

"Denial is the clencher!" Remus exclaimed enthusiastically as he began reaching behind to loosen one of Virgil's shoes. At the moment his fingers came in contact with the socked sole, Virgil's dam of giggles broke.

"Ohohoho gohohohod!" Virgil spoke for the first time in awhile.

"It is the giggle monster!" Remus exclaimed, happy that Virgil had broke so quickly. Without a moment's notice, The duke turned to face Virgil's feet and quickly stripped off the remaining shoe and socks. Virgil shouted in surprise but dissolved into full-blown laughter when he felt the Duke's grimy fingernails scuttling all over his tippy toes and soles.

"Guys! I found the giggle monster!" He waved to the people watching with such an optimistic look in his eyes. Deceit only clapped wryly, still smirking at the situation.

"Well done." He chuckled and stepped aside watching to see who would cross over to where Remus was first. Of course, Patton would be first.

"Virgil!" Patton was about to rush Remus, but was stopped in his tracks when the happy Virgil face came into his view. He was dumbfounded.

Remus turned to Patton. "See Pat? He is a giggle monster! There's usually one more spot that I like to try that gets him every time." Once Virgil realized Patton was looking at him, he covered his face with his hands, ashamed of the current situation.

Patton gave a half-smile and knelt down next to him. "Its okay Virgil. We don't think any less of you. It's actually really cute. Where's this last spot Remus?"

The Duke grinned and forsook Virgil's feet for his tummy. "This." He pokes one finger directly into Virgil's tummy button, making him arch his back and shriek at the tickling to his most sensitive spot.

Patton can't help but coo. "Aww...that's cute."

"Isn't he though?" The duke said and gently got off of him, allowing the rest of the giggles and chuckles to leave Virgil's lungs. Once he ran out of laughter, Patton and Remus both helped him up. Virgil couldn't stop smiling or quell the blush on his face and once the others saw they all returned it.

Once Virgil could stand on his own, Remus grinned at him. "See?" He motioned to the audience. "I'm not the only side who's extremely ticklish. So before you even think about going after me, do know who I will be going after next." Remus gave a wave and a wink to Virgil before he and Deceit sunk down to leave them with the still exhausted Virgil.

Patton lead Virgil to the couch who was still attempting to hide his face. "Before we continue, Virgil," Logan asked and all eyes turned to him. "We need to know. Did you actually enjoy that?"

Virgil sighed and leaned into Patton's embrace before answering the logical aspect. "...most of it...fine...all of it." They nodded in response.

"We promise not to tickle you unless you ask for it," Roman swore, walking over to pick up his discarded sword from the ground.

Virgil nodded. "Thanks..." He panted, accepting a glass of water that Thomas had handed to him. "Thank you again." They would all have to accept the frequent tickle fights that would now occur between Virgil and Remus.
