That's what friends are for
A/n: Human au where they all live together and Virgil and Roman are children.
Patton was walking through the hallways of a house he shared with a few friends, skipping around, having a jolly good day as peppa pig would say, when suddenly, he heard crying.
It wasn't any crying though.
It was sobs-wails.
It sounded like someone was in pain.
Patton immediately ran to the kitchen to grab a coffee when he realized the sound was coming from Logan's room.
Logan only cried like that when he was extremely tired and stressed.
He ran to the direction he heard crying from. Just as he had expected. Logan's room.
"MORE EXPRESSO, LESS DEPRESSO!" Patton screeched, almost yeeting the 'coffee' before deciding he didn't want to give his boyfriend a heart attack, or a second degree burn.
But then he realized that Logan was no where to be found, but a tiny, shaking lump under his covers was.
Patton removed the blanket and smiled softly when he saw his son, relaxing slightly when he realized nobody was hurt.
"Awe Virgie, why're you crying?" Patton asked softly, setting the coffee down on Logan's desk, walking over to his shaking child.
"W-w-well, I-" Virgil choked on a sob.
"It's okay baby..shh, shh, take your time" Patton told him softly.
"D-dadd-dy left me alone!" Virgil sobbed.
"Awe..sweetie.." Patton whispered, getting out his phone to send angry texts to Logan, while at the same time comforting Virgil.
Patton: HOW DARE YOU LEAVE MY DARK STRANGE SON ALL LONELY IN HIS ROOM! I'M GOING TO HAVE TO SPANK THOSE PERFECT ROUND CHEEKS YOU'VE GOT DOWN THERE AS PUNISHMENT TONIGHT IF YOU KEEP THIS UP MISTER 😤😤🤬🤬😡😡😡😡 I WILL FITE, I DON'T HESITATE 💪💪💪💪💪

Logan: PATTON CALM DOWN! I had to grab his snacks!
Patton: you left a three year old with separation anxiety alone on a high surface, -your bed- which he could fall off of at any second!
Logan: well, whose idea was it to even adopt a child?
Patton: YOURS.
Logan: welp, got me there.
Patton: you're making it sound like you don't want him :< he's perFECT IN EVERY WAY
Logan: I know! I love him! Everyone else does too. I'm glad we have friends that let us have a child in the house. I'm just a little stressed because he won't stop singing the alphabet wrong!
Patton: he's three!
Logan: he said "a d f g h blue p" BLUE ISN'T EVEN A LETTER!!!
Patton: well, he's really sad now! What snacks did you even get for him?
Logan: veggie straws
Patton: WHAT?!?! THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS!!! FIRST OF ALL, THOSE ARE MY VEGGIE STRAWS, AND SECONDLY, MY DARK STRANGE SON DESERVES GOLDFISH!
Logan: Jesus christ, okay i'll get him goldfish!
Emile: ya'll realize you're in the group
Chat right?
Remy: lmfao
Logan: And I oop-
Patton: Virgil's still crying it's so cute!
Janus: wow
Remus: send a picture
Patton: okay
Janus: double wow
Patton sent them a picture of Virgil crying into his chest, arms wrapped around him
Logan: well that is too precious to process
Emile: AWEEEEEE
Remus: Roman saw the picture and he is rUNNING TO THAT ROOM
Janus: Remus control your brother
Remus: THREE YEAR OLDS ARE FAST
Patton put down his phone and looked up to see the door open and an energetic child bounce in and grab Virgil into a hug.
"Don't worry, Virgie! The dark demons that plague your mind when you're alone are NO MATCH FOR ME!" He yelled, getting his fake sword out and attacking his own shadow, while still hugging the smaller child in his lap, wrapping an arm around him.
Virgil giggled at his friend while Patton took a picture for the scrap book and sending it to the group chat at the same time.
"Thank you Roman" Virgil muttered, wiping his tears away.
Roman smiled brightly.
"That's what friends are for!"
