Okie so I am a big fan of the highschool au with a hint or a lot of Roman angst lol

So that is what this prompt is about.. UwU

Warnings: Unsympathetic!Parents, Sympathetic!Sides, Name calling, Some type of cussing, Over all angst. (Tell me if I missed anything.)

I'm still not use to Deceit's name being Janus, so for the sake of my tiny brain, Deceit will be known as Deceit, okie? Okie.

Hope y'all don't mind that.

Also, this is more of a one-shot, so ye. (Tell me if I should make a book for one-shots only)

The 'perfect' teenage guy, also known as Roman Prince is loved by everyone at his high-school. Though, because of this, Roman has gained many enemies amongst the other teenage boys. Roman had all the girls on hooks, yet, he didn't want them. Which made the guys think Roman was playing hard to get, but he really wasn't, he wanted nothing to do with the girls, no one knew but, Roman was gay.

Roman's parents are millionaires, and own practically half the town. Roman was never good at making friends, well... Real friends that is. Every time Roman would make a friend, they would end up using him for his money or leaving him once they were popular enough. Friends never stayed with Roman for more then a month at the least. This made Roman have trust issues, he'd trust no one, not even his parents. He would trust his brother, if he was still here that is...

Remus was taken away from Roman a while back, probably when they were both 10. Roman and Remus' parents didn't want Remus to be a 'bad influence' on Roman so they sent him away to a military boarding school where Roman wouldn't be able to contact his brother. To be honest, Roman even forgot how old and how exactly Remus looked like, he wasn't proud of it either. Roman's parents are STRICT, too strict. They even thru away all the picture frames Remus was in and deleted all of the photos of Remus and Roman together on Roman's phone.

Roman felt horrible each time he thought of his brother, he couldn't imagine what he was going through. As horrible as Roman felt, he kept up his facade, especially at school and at home. (Because of his parents.) Everyday was another challenge at school. The girls would gossip or tell false rumours about them 'going out' with Roman, which would usually led to Roman being bullied on and called mean things by the other guys that were jealous. They called Roman many different insulting names, like: 'Man whore', 'Attention seeker', 'Good for nothing brat', etc. Roman had to keep his facade up, even though all he wanted to do was cry.

A few new students arrived at the school, they seemed nice.. Roman didn't even try to approach them, as he was scared they'd have found out about all the false rumours, wether they were good or bad. He tried to keep his distance and just kept going 'bout with his day, trying to keep his facade up. Though, he couldn't escape the new kid, Patton. Patton was cheerful, and bubbly, everything Roman wanted to be. The new kid Patton kept trying to talk to Roman, always ending up with Roman walking away, ignoring Patton, or Roman pretending to be on a call or texting. But for some reason, Patton never gave up, which led to Patton getting a 'hello' from Roman at some point.

Patton finally succeeding, he introduced Roman to the rest of the group, which consisted mostly of the new students, except one.... Deceit. Roman never liked Deceit, and Deceit never really like Roman. They never bothered each other, they would give each other glares time to time though. Other then Deceit, Roman knew nothing about anyone else, so they all introduced themselves. Patton being first, then Logan, then Deceit (Pretending they don't know each other), then last but not least, Virgil.

After a while of them hanging out, they all grew closer, though, the teasing and bullying never stopped for Roman. Soon, prom came around the corner, everyone was excited, heck, even Virgil was.. The only person in the group that didn't want to go was.... Roman. Even though he was the only one in the group that was asked to the dance, he refused to go. The guys from the group were sure all the girls asked Roman out, they weren't gonna lie, they were a bit jealous, but not about the girls, about the fact he was even asked. The others were all gay, but they never brought it up as it was never even discussed.

After a long day at school of girls asking him out and guys giving him death glares, he finally was walking home. Thankfully, his parents were working late tonight, so he'd have the house to himself til 2:00 am max. Though, he met eyes with a group of guys from his high-school in front of his house. Why were they there? Roman was about to find out. As much as he didn't want to talk to them or even walk near them, he had to in order for him to go home. He walked up to them and kindly asked them to move. They didn't take that very well....

Roman was pushed onto the pavement, his hands being littered with rocks in them. Roman wanted to wince at the pain badly but kept it in in order for him to keep his facade up. (Time passes) Roman just got the living hell beat out of him, and he knew it was because of those girls. But why? Why were the guys so jealous? They can have the girls for all he cares about, he only cares about the guys, but they all hated him... Except for his friends.

Prom was the next day, the friend group went to the mall to go and buy they're outfits. Patton buying a beautiful light blue sparkly dress, wanting to cross-dress, with some white gloves.

Logan buying a dark blue tuxedo with some white gloves as well. (Can't forget the tie lol.)

Deceit doing the same, buys a black tuxedo with some different styled yellow gloves.

Virgil follows the flow by letting Logan pick out his outfit, Logan promising that it won't be a dress and that it can only be purple.

Same thing with Roman, instead of it being Logan he picked Patton to decide what he would wear.

Roman having no gloves and just that watch on his wrist.

The friend group bought everything and went home. Thankfully, nobody was waiting for Roman in front of his house since his parents were inside. Though, that means he's gonna have to be ready for the worse. Roman walks into the house to be greeted by his mother, which tells Roman that they need to talk. Roman's mother brought them to one of they're many living rooms and asked him to sit down.

Roman's mother kept talking about how Roman should find a pretty girl to bring to prom (which is tomorrow) and dance with her. Roman didn't like he idea whatsoever so he lied to his mom about already having a date, and to make her even more proud, Roman told her about practically all the girls in the school had asked him out, but he only 'accepted' one girl. (Playing along with his mom's game)

The day of the prom. Roman got ready and met up with his friend group in front of the school. A group of dudes were standing nearby laughing at Roman while walking inside. Roman's friends kept telling him to ignore it, so he 'did'. They then walked inside, as soon as the girls saw Roman, they brought all they're attention to him. The girl's dates staring at him, like Roman was begging to die.

Roman was standing in the crowd next to his hyper active friends, trying to make himself seem small. But it obviously didn't work as his name was called up stage, all the girls were cheering, so were Roman's friends, the guys just looked at Roman as if they were going to kill him. Roman sunk in on himself before walking on stage and turning his facade back on, acting all confident. A random girl was announced prom queen, Roman could care less, but.... The host was asking both the prom King and Queen to kiss as a celebration! What?! Roman was having none of that as his facade completely broke and he started running in the opposite direction. He didn't know how but he ended up in a bathroom stall, away from everyone. As he was running away, he could hear the guys laughing, the girls gasp, and absolutely nothing from his friends. Roman was sobbing, his whole facade and walls break down, he didn't want this title, he didn't think he deserved it. He then hears the bathroom door open.

"Roman...? You in here...?"

Wowie! This was a lot more work then I thought it would be!

This was originally planned to be written as a prompt, but I got so many ideas!

You can still use this as a prompt, also if y'all didn't notice somehow, that whole thing was in the narrators POV.

Also, don't be shy to use your own ship and whatever side you want the person that walked into the bathroom is! 😊

Anyways, I'm pretty shocked I wrote this much down- I thought I lost motivation but I was totally wrong!
