This is a part 2 to the previous LAMP oneshot. It kinda needs a name so that this is less confusing, but I have no ideas so oh well.
Oh yeah also feel like letting you guys know that uhh, the last oneshot Crushing was 100% a vent about my now girlfriend, so that's nice lol. It didn't have a happy end cause it was based on me and now I had a happy story lmao-

"Are we really doing this?" Virgil asked, wiping his sweaty hands on the front of his nicest pair of jeans. He was sitting in the back seat along with his boyfriend Patton, his other boyfriend in the drivers seat of their car. The three of them had just sat down after getting ready to go, about to leave to meet Logan at a nice restaurant nearby.

"We are," Patton responded, hand reaching over to take Virgil's and smiling softly at him. "And we'll have a great time, Virgil. We're going to make sure Logan has a good time with us, and after that we just have to wait and see if he wants to hang out again."

"And even if he doesn't you've still got two of the best possible boyfriends in the world!" Roman joined in from the front, starting up the car and pulling out of the parking lot of their apartment building.

Virgil rolled his eyes at Roman but didn't disagree, squeezing Patton's hand back nervously. A little while after things went silent and Virgil was left with his thoughts he asked if he could turn on some music, as a way to distract them all and make them feel a little less nervous.

When they did finally arrive at the restaurant Logan was already waiting for them outside, standing by the door with his hands clasped behind his back, posture perfect as always. The three of them couldn't help but stare briefly from the car, hearts speeding up their pace as they realized that they were about to go on a date with this man. After a few moments Roman finally turned the car off, encouraging them all to open their car doors to go meet him.

"We're really doing this," Virgil breathed, hand tugging at his door handle as he stared at Logan for a moment longer. Patton leaned over quickly to peck his cheek before making his way out of the car.

"It's going to go great Virgil!" Patton promised, smiling as he met him and Roman around the car. He linked hands with Virgil once more, this time taking Roman's hand as well before guiding both of them towards where Logan was standing.

"Oh, um, hello," Logan greeted awkwardly as he saw them approaching, flashing the smallest of smiles. He was dressed up nicely to meet with them, adorning one of his nicest black shirts and blue ties. He flushed as he caught them looking him over, barely able to match their gaze as they shot him warm smiles.

"Nice to see you outside of the coffee shop for once!" Patton mentioned with a grin that Logan did his best to return, but he was certain his was a lot more awkward.

"You look very nice." Roman said, sending Logan a smirk that made his heart stutter in his chest.

"Wh-Why are you waiting outside for us?" Virgil spoke up last, looking worried over him and causing warmth to spread through Logan's chest. "It's cold out here, we don't want you to get sick because of us."

"Well, to be honest, I... kind of got here a lot earlier," Logan admitted, clearing his throat and glancing away from their eyes on him. "I was... well, I was nervous. Since I was early I didn't want to get us seats already. But truly, I am alright, it is not that cold."

"Aw," Patton muttered, shuffling closer and putting a hand on Logan's arm comfortingly. "There's no need to feel nervous! We're just gonna go in here and talk for a while, and we'll see what happens later! It's all up to you and how comfortable you are."

"I appreciate that," Logan said after a moment of silence, looking at Patton's hand on his arm. His cheeks were burning.

"We should head inside," Virgil spoke up, gesturing to the door, eyes meeting Logan's for a brief moment before looking down. "That way you can sit down, and we can all talk more then."

"Of course!" Roman agreed, stepping forward to open up the door for the other three. He gestured for Logan to head in first, who was quickly followed by Patton. Roman stopped Virgil just before he could enter with a kiss to the cheek just as Patton had done before, smiling warmly at him. "You're doing just fine, mi amor."

"Is it that obvious how nervous I am?" Virgil muttered with an awkward laugh, cheeks red.

"Only because Patton and I know you so well." Roman assured him, gesturing for Virgil to catch up as Logan and Patton were already being seated.

Soon enough the four of them were seated and looking over their menus, the table staying quiet. It wasn't until after their orders had been taken that Logan finally spoke up, glancing around the restaurant. "I've never been here before. It... seems very fancy."

"Well, Patton and Virgil especially really wanted to impress you." Roman said, making Virgil's blush worsen and Patton shake his head.

"Oh please, don't act like you weren't smitten with him the first time you saw him too, Roman." Patton laughed, turning to look at Logan. "He was just as excited for this date as we were! Not a single one of us has been able to stop talking about it."

Logan looked between the three of them, as if asking if this were true. Judging by the embarrassed looks on both Virgil and surprisingly Roman's faces it seemed it was. Logan's mouth opened as if he was going to say something, and then paused. He was becoming more embarrassed by the second.

"I... was looking forward to this as well." He admitted, eyes fixed to a spot on the table. "As I said previously you are all very handsome, and well... I don't get asked on dates ever, so this was certainly new and interesting."

"I'm sure it's even less often you get asked out by a poly couple, so I bet that's weird." Virgil muttered, looking as though he were waiting for a bad comment on that.

"Certainly not something that happens often, but I wouldn't call any of you weird." Logan said, frowning at Virgil. Surprised, Virgil watched to see if he really didn't find them odd. Logan's face softened the slightest bit, looking at Virgil sincerely. "I wouldn't have come tonight if I weren't interested in all of you. So of course I don't find you to be weird."

"I'm... really glad to hear that." Virgil muttered, tugging at his long shirt sleeve and smiling slightly. Logan's lips quirked upward at his smile, and he wasn't the only one. Both of Virgil's boyfriends loved to see the rare moments where Virgil showed his joy.

"Speaking of that, though..." Logan said, turning to look at the three of them after a moment. "I hope it's alright if I were to ask you something."

Roman, Virgil, and Patton shared a look. It was unfortunately often that the three of them got awkward and prying questions when it came to their relationship, so they were a little hesitant to know what Logan was going to ask. Just because he was okay with their relationship didn't mean he wasn't going to accidentally cross a line.

"What is it?" Roman asked finally, looking at Logan and prepared to talk to him about how their personal lives weren't something they were willing to discuss this early into talking with him.

"You obviously don't have to answer," Logan said quickly. "I'm not going to ask anything super personal, but if I am overstepping please let me know. I was simply wondering how it was that the three of you met and ended up together."

"Oh," Patton said simply, surprised at the question. It was surprisingly not something they got often when people knew they were together. It certainly wasn't the one they had been expecting. "Well, that's a perfectly fine question!"

"We actually started off as roommates." Roman started to explain, pointing between his boyfriends. "These two had a massive crush on each other."

"While we also both liked him a lot." Patton continued, smiling at the memory. "He just didn't know that yet."

"So he tried to set the two of us up, but we had both been talking to each other about our crush on him. So neither of us thought the other liked us." Virgil joined in. "I was so sure Patton liked Roman so I just told him that Patton definitely didn't like me, and Patton said the same thing."

"We tried really hard not to give away that it was Roman we both liked, but he kinda figured it out anyways." Patton took over again. "So he got us to admit it, and then said he liked both of us back. Which obviously prompted us to admit that we also liked each other, since it didn't feel as weird to have two crushes when Roman did too."

"So, if you couldn't tell already I'm usually the one who has to be confident and start things." Roman teased, grinning as Virgil rolled his eyes.

"I guess you're right," Patton agreed, turning to smile at Logan. "Both me and Virgil are so helpless when we have crushes, so he even had to help us ask you out."

"I suppose I'm glad that he did." Logan spoke softly, smiling over at Roman with rosy cheeks. "You all seem very nice."

All at once the three boyfriends brains seemed to malfunction, staring at Logan with shock painted on their features. After a moment of this Logan looked embarrassed, stumbling to ask. "Did-did I do something wrong?"

"No, no, of course not!" Patton said quickly, hands up defensively as he shook his head.

"It-it's just that... you're..." Virgil paused, sucking in a breath and wrenching his eyes away. He rushed out the rest of his words, jumbling them together and making it difficult to understand them. "You're so cute."

Roman just nodded dumbly in agreement, the first time that Logan had seen the man speechless. His cheeks burned brighter than they had the rest of that evening, hands reaching up to cover his face briefly as he calmed himself. It wasn't even the first time they had called him that, but it was the first time they had seemed so flustered over it. "Th-thank you, I suppose. What... did something specific bring this on all of a sudden?"

"Well, it's just-" Roman finally spoke, chewing on his lip as he paused. "Your smile... it just seemed so genuine and nice, and-" his voice got progressively squeakier as he continued, looking away from Logan. "It was adorable."

Things remained quiet for some time, and their food was brought out to their table. After being served and left to enjoy their meal the four of them started talking once again, this time a little less embarrassed and awkward. They talked about many things, getting along well and all having a nice time together.

The end of their dinner came too quickly for all of them. Their check was brought out, and as Logan reached for it Roman was quick to grab it before he could.

"I've got it," he assured, sending a smile Logan's way.

"I can pay for myself," Logan protested, frowning. "It isn't a big deal."

"I'm sure you can pay, but it's alright. We were the ones to invite you out tonight, and it's my night to pay for our date night anyways." Roman shrugged him off, sending the check back before Logan could protest any further.

"Fine," Logan sighed. "I suppose I can just take care of it next time, then."

It was quiet at the table again, Patton, Roman, and Virgil sharing an excited glance.

"Next time?" Virgil croaked, eyes wide as he looked at Logan. "As in... another date with us?"

"We-well, that is..." Logan paused, clearing his throat nervously and glancing around at the three of them. "If you'll have me another time. But I... definitely had a nice time tonight. Of course, don't feel pressured to-"

"Next time then!" Patton cut him off excitedly, Logan reassured as he realized how happy they all seemed at the idea.

"We'll definitely hold you to paying." Virgil teased, grinning. Logan returned his grin with a small smile.

"Let me guess, next date night is your turn to pay?" Logan teaser right back with a raised brow, making Virgil laugh as he nodded.

The four of them exited the restaurant with smiles on their lips and promises to text each other later to plan for another time to meet.
