Crushing (R Prinxiety)

Hey yeah so bit of an important message here. Please do not talk about self harm in the comments of my books. Not only is it triggering for myself it can also be triggering to literally any of the people who happen to come across your comment. Please seek professional help or the help of an adult if you're able to if self harm is something you are struggling with, and be mindful of others on the internet who might be/have been in the same place as you. Any comments that talk about self harming will be deleted for mine and others safety. Thank you, and stay safe guys. I love you. (The only exception to this rule is if I miss something in my books that needs a warning, in which case please tell me about it and the warning will be added immediately.)

Roman had found it difficult to focus recently. Of course, he always had trouble focusing in school anyways, often daydreaming during class while he tried to make it appear as though he were listening, but this time he wasn't daydreaming about princes and knights and dragons.

Instead he found his attention on the boy who sat one seat ahead of him and one row over, one of his three best friends. He found himself watching as Virgil nervously bounced his leg under the table, fingers drumming softly and noiselessly on the sides of his desk. He savored the rare moments the boy would run his fingers through his purple hair, brushing it to the side so Roman could catch a glimpse of his face. The dark makeup under his eyes that Roman had once made fun of, and had now grown to adore, and the soft brown eyes that were often hidden under long bangs.

Even when their class finally dismissed for lunch and they met up with Logan and Patton, sitting down to eat Roman appreciated the smallest hint of a smile that always graced Virgil's lips when he was around them all. His eyes drank in Virgil's relaxed demeanor, the way he leaned against their table without his feet or fingers tapping. His favorite thing of all that he had been distracted by lately was Virgil's laughter. It didn't last long, and he was still quiet so he didn't draw too much attention, but it was a beautiful sound. Roman wished he would laugh more.

Contrary to popular belief, Roman wasn't stupid. He knew exactly the reason his emo friend had captured his attention lately. Even though he absolutely detested the idea it was clear to anyone that he was crushing hard. He was all too familiar with the feeling.

Not knowing how to deal with this Roman consulted the help of another one of his best friends, which was where he was now. Flopped down on his stomach on Patton's bed, face pushed into a pillow while Patton patted his back soothingly, soft smile on his lips.

"Are you going to tell me what's wrong, or do I have to call Logan in here to try and solve the mystery?" Patton joked with his friend, who only groaned into the pillow. A few moments passed before he finally rolled over onto his back, hand draped dramatically across his forehead.

"Whatever am I going to do, Patton?" He lamented, gazing over at his friend.

"Maybe I could help you figure it out if you'd tell me what's going on."

"I fear that I have developed a crush, and I don't know what to do about it." Roman finally admitted with a sigh, hand on his forehead dragging down his face exasperatedly. "How could this have happened to me?"

Patton giggled slightly, Roman glaring at him and making him shut up. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry.  It's just-your crush on Virgil? That's what this is all about?"

Roman sat up abruptly, gaping at Patton. "You know?"

"Well, yeah! You stare at him all day." Patton laughed again as Roman threw himself back onto the bed, hands covering his eyes.

"I knew I was too obvious!" He whined, cheeks flushing and eyes burning. "He probably knows too! And he clearly hates me-"

"Roman, stop that!" Patton cut him off before he could get too far, hand batting at his arm gently. "He doesn't hate you. Virgil is super oblivious anyways, I promise you he doesn't know."

"Does Logan?" Roman questioned, looking over at Patton. Logan was the most oblivious to emotions of them all. If Logan knew, Virgil definitely knew.

"Only because I told him about it. But I promise neither of us would ever say anything to Virgil!" Patton assured him, smiling at Roman who didn't look at all assured.

"This is so embarrassing. Why can't these dumb feelings just... go away?"

"I thought you were a hopeless romantic. What happened to wanting to fall in love with someone and doing all these grand romantic gestures for them?" Patton questioned, and Roman frowned.

"I mean, yeah I dream about it. But my sixteen past crushes who never liked me back have kind of convinced me that it's impossible. If Virgil finds out..." Roman swiped at his eye indignantly. "He'll be just like the rest of them and think I'm weird. Then he won't want to talk to me anymore."

"Roman..." Patton set a hand overtop of his friends. "You don't know that that's going to happen. Maybe he does like you back!"

"Why would he like me?" Roman pressed. "I mean. He's got you and Logan for friends, and he's way closer to you two anyways. What if he likes one of you?"

"I don't think he does." Patton told Roman, smiling sympathetically. "You really should just try and tell him, y'know. If he likes you, then that's great! If he doesn't, you know me and Logan will be here for you until you can move on. I know for sure that Virgil won't stop being your friend over something like this. He's not like your old friends, Roman. I promise, things will work out in the end."

"That's a lot easier said than done." Roman muttered, staring up at the ceiling in silence for a while.

"Hey... you have a crush on Logan, right?" Roman spoke again after some time had passed.

"Maybe," Patton blushed, smile on his face as he thought about him.

"Well, how about instead of worrying about telling them... we just talk to each other about how cute they are?" Roman suggested, glancing at Patton to gauge his reaction. "I mean. Talking about cute boys is always fun, right?"

"Definitely." Patton agreed, and with that the two of them were launched into a conversation about the two boys they were crushing on. Neither of them knew what would come out of these feelings, maybe nothing, but for now at least they could enjoy talking about them together.

You can decide for yourself what happens next I'm tired and gotta work on requests in my other book and this is mostly supposed to be about the upsides and downsides to crushing anyways lol

I'm totally not venting through this. Absolutely not. Totally not about how I've been turned down by all my crushes for years so I'm positive I'm going to end up alone in life. Crushes are dumb but anyways let me talk to you guys about my definitely one and only crush, which of course, is Logan-

Look at this cutie. Look at the way he flashes his teeth after Remus pulls them out I LOVE IT SO MUCH HES SO CUTE

LOOK AT THAT SMILE

He's so sweet and tries his best and I love him with all of my heart he's the best character ever

There's another gif I wanted to add but it won't load where he calls Roman a malodorous scent-urion and ugh he looks so proud it's adorable I'm so in love-

Anyways lol I'm gonna go get a bit more work done before I go to sleep tonight. Thanks for reading and listening to me ramble about Logan. *Logan gives you a blue ring pop and a smile that shines like the sun* Lmao can you tell I'm out of suggestions-anyways take care of yourselves. Bye!-Bob
