??? POV
     I pulled up my sleeve, wincing as I saw the dark mark on my forearm. Its getting darker by the day. Sighing, I pull the sleeve down, before adjusting my glasses and heading towards my friends.

Virgil's POV
    Of course...the Horcrux was in the woods. I sighed, pulling down my Hufflepuff beanie as far as possible. Roman stood in front of me, wand out as if it were a sword. Logan and Patton were behind me, holding hands and living up to their title as one of the cutest,  nerdiest ships of the fandom. Patton was leaning comfortably against the Ravenclaw, both with a contented expression on their faces while they discussed whatever geeky stuff they were intrigued in. To be honest, they seemed rather oblivious to the fact that we were exploring a forest at night for a cursed item.

    "JD-lightful! I think we're close!" Roman declared, turning towards me. I shivered and nodded. I could feel a sort of dark energy radiating, stronger and stronger. The lovebirds, upon hearing this, sprung from their romantic position. "We are searching for Deceit's diary right? I do not see it." Logan clarified.

    Patton nodded his head, before kissing him quick on the cheek. " Love you Patton, no matter what" Logan murmured, returning the gesture. An incomprehensible expression flashed across Patton's face, before he beamed back and echoed Logan's words.

    Shaking my head, I turned back to the front. I was just imagining things. Stupid forest with its stupid dark energy... "C'mon Princey, lets go get the diary and then get out of here. This place is giving me chills." Heeding my words, he quickened the pace.

    After a bit more hiking, I spotted a figure darting towards me. He seemed to be aiming at my...feet? Startled, I jumped back and glanced down at the muddy floor below me. It was a shimmering emerald green, and its cover showed two gold snakes intertwined in the centre. As I knelt down to pick it up, I heard a sudden cry of  "Accio diary!" and the journal flying away right into Patton's hand.

    " Good move Patton!" I exclaimed, " Now, lets go ba-" The figure appeared, features now defined. He had tousled brown hair, and one mocha coloured eye along with a slitted gold eye that reminded me of a snake. Deceit. Patton's eyes lightened up when he saw the snake man appear and he bounded towards him, diary in hand.

    " Father! Look what I got for you! Are you proud of me?" Patton declared, his bubbly tone still ringing through his voice with absolute sincerity. Deceit nodded and patted him on the back. " Excellent work my son. "

     I couldn't process what had just happened. " Patton, he is your father? How could you keep such a secret from us! Were you even our actual friend? " I exclaimed, mouth agape. Patton, the father figure I never had in my life, the guy who baked cookies for us and called us his family, was with Deceit.

    His expression morphed into puzzlement, "What's there to tell? Father did nothing wrong. Right now, I'm helping him get his revenge. Our friendship was real, truly. You guys can help me! We can defeat the ministry and be happy! "

    Disgusted, I shook my head. "Deceit is a monster, Patton. I refuse to help him. " I turned around and walked away.

Logan's POV
    Eyes snapping away from Virgil's departure, Patton turned towards me. " Logi, I really, really love you. It would mean the world to me if you would join. You promised to love me too, no matter what." I stumbled backwards. Helping the one I Iove, for a cause I disagreed with. What to do? I loved him, that goes without saying. Yet, what was the limit? Is there a limit?

    Staring into Patton's mocha brown eyes, brimming of hope, I walked up next to him , kissed him quick, and said, "I love you, no matter what."
   
    Roman, hearing my words, stumbled forward and grabbed my sleeve. " No...no... Guys we need to stay together to beat the villan!"He gestured wildy at Deceit "We need you guys.... Please, please lets go follow Virgil and find the rest of the Horcrux's. We... We need your  logic and morality. What will we do without the two of you? Please...please... " By now he was on his knees, sobbing.

    Patton glanced over at him, looking slightly concerned. "Sorry kiddo, but I'm helping Father no matter what." Then, the three of us left, leaving the poor Griffindor all alone.

Ok, I know this is like super rushed and really bad and stuff, but I don't know how to form my ideas into words, hopefully my writing gets better 😅
