I Don't Just Represent Dad Jokes
TW: Patton angst
---
" Thomas confessing to Mike about his romantic feelings for him would not make sense whatsoever. " Logan adjusted his spectacles, " After all, if Mike were to reject him, Thomas would have an increase in depression and we would not want that to happen. "
" Actually , I think-" Patton lifted a hand, wanting to contribute to the animated debate in front of him.
" Well, nerd, from what I know, I am the one in charge of romantic emotions! I should decide what Thomas should do and my decision is for him to confess his undying love for Mike! " Roman declared, stomping his foot on the ground, vaguely reminding Patton of a child throwing a tantrum.
" Kiddos, what about- " Patton attempted to cut into the conversation once more. Rubbing his arm, his legs shook ever so slightly, subtly urging him to just collapse. Maybe then, they would notice him.
He was cut off by Virgil, who looked up from his phone and sighed, " I'm with Logan. Better safe than sorry. " Finishing his prompt statement, he slumped back into the sofa in the mindscape's living room.
Logan pointed at the unenthusiastic side, " See! At least Virgil has some common sense. "
Looking around the room frantically, Roman searched for a supporter, his eyes landing on Patton. Beaming, Patton's heart filled with joy! They were finally going to listen to his opinion!
" Ah Patton! He obviously supports my stand. Don't you Patton? " Roman turned to the moral side, nodding his own head slowly to prompt him into agreeing. Keeping up his cheerful facade, Patton smiled and nodded. He sighed inwardly. Of course, they only noticed him when they need him. And even then, they don't listen to his opinion. They simply use him as a prop, support for their own fantastic , perfect ideas. Without realizing, Patton began to tremble.
Scoffing, Logan said, " Patton's opinion doesn't matter in this situation. After all, this conversation isn't about puppies, rainbows or silly wordplay. " Patton, upon hearing this, stiffened. Tears started to drip down his cheeks.
Staring at Logan, all he could see was a blurry image. " Is... Is that all you think of me? Is that what all of you think of me? " Lip quivering, he wiped his eyes and stared directly at the logical side in front of him. " I try... I try the best I can to make everyone happy, everyone satisfied. I make breakfast for you guys... I comfort you all when you are down, and this is the thanks I get? The only thing I have ever gotten...from any of you, was to be ignored, my opinion unwanted. Have you ever even asked me for my opinion before? " He collapsed onto the ground, sobbing.
" I'm sick and tired of being used. I know it's selfish, but why can't someone just listen to me? Why can't someone just listen? "
Logan raised an eyebrow. " Patton, this excessive emotion is unreasonable. All you had to do was state how you felt. No need for this mushiness." Logan stated. " Feelings are so unreasonable. "
Abruptly, Patton stopped sobbing. Standing up straight, he ripped off the cat hoodie Logan had given him. " If I'm really so unreasonable Logan, I'll leave. " Patton announced in a bitter tone.
" Let's see how long Thomas will last without me. " Patton taunted.
"After all," Turning around, Patton began to walk off, " I don't just represent dad jokes. "
