Thomas knew something wasn't right, and that scared him. He really was ready to finally step out of his comfort zone, but something had made him feel like he were being chased and he had to move. So, he ran, and ran despite the calls from his friends that yelled for him to return, he just couldn't stop moving.

He ran until his feet abruptly came to a stop, nearly sending him to the ground. His chest heaved raggedly for breath and sweat beaded his forehead, his heart was thundering in his chest so hard that it hurt. He leaned forward, pressing his hands against his knees and focused on evening out his irregular breath, he idly looked around trying to distract his mind from the panic that ate away at him. It was then that he noticed that he was stranded deep within some type of forest or woods, the trees loomed over him ominously, the cold wind carded through his hair making him shudder, the sparkle of the starlight glowed like charcoal and despite his demeanor, the night seemed more serene.

But right in front of him only a couple of meters away, were a set of train tracks still wet from this afternoon's light shower. He regained his breath and took a couple of steps forward, it was odd seeing train tracks in the middle of the woods, a branch snapped from within the trees, the male flinched and jumped back. He looked where the noise came from and squinted, for a split second he could've sworn he saw something move.

His mind wandered to his deepest fears and suddenly emerging from the ground was a rotting carcass gurgling words of carnage, but it couldn't talk though Thomas could've sworn it mentioned something about the birth of sadness, he scurried off he was on the verge of madness. He raced, fast-paced, and the landscape was strange like a plane parallel to this one but rearranged.

He shook it off as his mind playing tricks on him, he was still pretty shaken up and it was pretty dark out. He stepped onto the tracks and walked to ease his mind. Suddenly within the foggy distance, he saw a silhouette that got bigger as he stepped the train tracks were wet, he saw a shiny grin from afar like it was happy, a man dressed in black and yellow appeared and walked towards him.

This is what he said as he started to walk past him.

“It's a nice night for a walk, would you mind if I joined you?” he grinned.

“Do what you wanna do.” Thomas replied.

“Well that's great, 'cause I'm going to, and not to annoy you but, see, I really have to ask what a young dude like you is doing out by the tracks?
You waiting on a train?” the man's voice became distorted.

“No, man, let me explain.” Thomas shook his head.

“Alright.” The man shrugged.

“I'm minding my business so maybe you should do the same I just been a witness to something sick and sadistic so twistedly disgusting you should feel real lucky you missed it.” Thomas shook.

“Oh, but easy with the tongue, son, try to listen carefully what you've seen is scary, but nothing when compared to me I could show you things to paint all your dreams haunted, I could make you scream if I wanted.” He stepped in front of Thomas, giving him an eerie look. The male shuddered once more, not liking the look he was getting from said man.

“Or I can be the bee in your bonnet, your best friend forever, two peas in a pod flocking like birds of a feather.” The man grinned and wrapped an arm around Thomas's shoulder, pulling him into a one armed hug. “And you never have a need to beg, work, or steal if all this sounds worth it then let's make a deal.” He turned Thomas around to face him and smiled almost devilishly.

“All you want in life for the price of your soul, all the money you can fold, power that you can hold.
I'll put you in control.
Only if you're down to roll down these train tracks tonight.”

“But where are we gonna go?” Thomas frowned.

The man grinned and once again slung his arms over his shoulder, his smile never left his face as together they walked down the train tracks.
