Feeling Down (No Ship)
No more requests. (I'm only doing the first six that I got, because there were a bunch and even tho I'd love to do them all for you guys its stressful) I'll work on them probably tomorrow. Also sorry to any one who's messaged me that I have yet to respond to, been busy and exhausted all day, but I still wanted to get a oneshot done before I went to bed. (Yeah so I fell asleep in the middle of working on this but oh well forgive me)
Patton hummed quietly to himself as he walked, wandering around the mind. His own humming was drowned out as he heard singing from behind a closed door. The door led to Roman's bedroom, and while it wasn't unusual to hear singing coming from the royal's room the fatherly trait deciding to check in to see how he was doing.
He knocked on his door, peaking inside to find Roman standing in front of a mirror, looking at himself. At hearing a knock his singing abruptly ended, and he turned to face Patton. When he saw him he smiled, but it felt less genuine than usual. Patton, remembering that Roman sang to himself to cheer up after a bad day immediately grew worried.
"Greetings, Patton." Roman did his best to act as usual. "Did you need something?"
"Just checking on you. You doing okay, kiddo?" Patton frowned, his concern evident. Roman faltered, frown showing for a second as he glanced back to the mirror he had been standing in front of, then back to Patton. He shrugged after a moment of silence, and sighed.
"Simply having an off day, but nothing that I can't handle." He tried to give a reassuring smile, but found it hard to do so. Patton opened up his arms to offer him a hug, Roman wordlessly stepping forward to accept. Patton held him tightly, as if to protect him from whatever caused his day to be bad.
"Is there anything you need? I'm here for you if you need it, kiddo." Patton reminded him, rubbing his back comfortably as Roman shook his head.
"I'm alright. As I said, nothing I can handle. However... I wouldn't mind some company while watching a Disney movie, if you're interested?" He asked, and Patton grinned at him.
"Of course! We can watch as many as you'd like to, Roman."

On a completely different day, Patton was once again wandering around and minding his own business. After passing by a tall shelf he did a double take, looking back and shocked to find someone sitting on the top of said shelf. He was staring up at the ceiling, leaning on he wall behind the shelf. He acted as though it was a completely normal place to be sitting.
"Virgil..?" He questioned, wondering how the anxious side even managed to make it up there. "What are you doing?"
"I'm thinking." The other muttered, not looking down at Patton.
"Well, why are you all the way up there?" He asked, only receiving a shrug in response. Once again it clicked in Patton's head that this was something the anxious side did when he was having a bad day. "Is something wrong, kiddo?"
Virgil scoffed. "When isn't there something wrong?"
"Well, do you wanna talk about it?" Patton frowned, only getting another shrug from Virgil.
"Not really." He mumbled finally, sighing. "Thanks, though."
"I'll always be here for you, kiddo." Patton smiled up at him. "Just let me know if there's anything you need."
"Do you wanna... I dunno, sit in here with me? I don't really wanna talk or anything, but..." Virgil trailed off, taking a deep breath. Patton smiled, taking a seat in a less unusual and high up spot than Virgil's.
"Of course. I'm right here for you."

On another day, the fatherly trait headed to the logical sides room knowing something was probably wrong. He didn't show up for anything he had planned to do that day, and for Logan to not follow a schedule he had to be so sick or hurt he couldn't move.
Patton didn't even think to let Logan know he was coming, too worried about the side's safety. When he got to his room he was confused, finding Logan sitting at his desk working on a puzzle.
"Logan?" He startled the other, who whirled around to face him.
"Patton," he greeted simply, turning back to his puzzle after. Patton stepped up to stand behind Logan, looking over his shoulder as he solved his puzzle.
"Everything okay today, Logan?" Patton asked him, glancing worriedly over to him. Logan didn't look back at him, just continued to fit pieces into their place.
"Why do you ask?" Logan gave another question to avoid answering.
"Well... Didn't you have plans today? You've already missed most of them. I just wanted to check and make sure you weren't sick." Patton frowned, and Logan froze. He looked up at the clock in his room, seeing the time and groaning.
"My apologies. I... lost track of time. I'm certainly not having the best of days, and I suppose my distraction worked a little too well." He gestured to the puzzle he was working on, beginning to stand up. "I'll get back to work now."
"Hey wait, what's wrong Logan? Is something bothering you?" Patton asked, putting a hand on his shoulder. Logan paused, looking at his hand and then up to Patton again.
"I will be fine. There is no reason for me to feel bad."
"There's not always a reason for us to feel bad. Sometimes we just feel things, even if we don't want to. It's not bad, and if you need someone to talk to then I'm right here for you, Logan." Patton smiled.
"Well... still, I have things to get done. I don't have time to talk about silly emotions." Logan sighed, looking back to his puzzle.
"You can always take a break from things, Logan. They'll be there tomorrow, and your feelings aren't silly. If you don't want to talk about them, that's alright, but don't completely ignore them. Let yourself have some time to do the things that cheer you up, or else you'll end up feeling even worse, and that's no good!" Patton advised. His worry was once again obvious, and Logan took a moment to think it over.
"You do know more about emotions than me, so it would not be wise to ignore your advice on them..." He stared at the ground, still thinking. "Well... If that is what you think I should do, then would you mind letting everyone know where I am?"
"I can do that!" Patton nodded, starting to head out as Logan sat back down. "And Logan, if you need anything at all just come get me, of any one of us! We're all happy to help you out."
"Yes... I will do that, thank you again, Patton." Logan offered up a tiny awkward smile, one that Patton returned with a bright grin as he headed out to let everyone know where Logan was.

Virgil headed to the kitchen, not expecting to find anyone in there. He was surprised to see Patton, and even more surprised to hear what sounded like crying.
"Patton..?" He called, seeing the other freeze up. He saw him wiping at his face, then turn around to face Virgil.
"Hey, kiddo! What are you, uh... what are you doing in here?" Virgil tried to see if he really had been crying, but his glasses hid his eyes and it was hard to tell.
"Just, grabbing a snack. What are you doing?" He asked, noticing some things out behind Patton. Patton turned to look at them, and as he turned Virgil could see behind his glasses just barely. He could tell they were red and puffy, though.
"Oh! I'm making cookies." He turned around, smiling at Virgil. "I can tell you when they're done, if you want some."
Cookies. Didn't Dad say he had cookies when he felt bad? Virgil remembered him saying that at some point, and wondered what he could do to help the usually always cheerful side.
"That's okay. Hey, stay here okay? I'll be right back." Virgil told him, leaving behind a confused Patton as he went to go do something.
Patton stared after Virgil, wondering what he was doing and relieved that he hadn't noticed him crying-at least, he didn't think he noticed. He tried to make it less obvious that he had been crying before the anxious side returned, although it didn't work very well. He gave up, just hoping that he wouldn't see it, and returned to making cookies while waiting for him to get back.
When Patton heard Virgil enter the kitchen again he turned around to greet him, surprised to see not just Virgil but Logan and Roman there too.
"Oh! Hello, everyone." He was nervous now. He might have been able to get away with hiding his red eyes from just Virgil, but with three people it would be impossible. Especially with Logan, who was a little more observant than the other two. "What's... what's going on?"
"Virgil said you were making cookies, and we thought you might like some assistance!" Roman smiled at Patton.
"He also said it looked like you had been crying. So, we all wanted to make sure you were alright." Logan spoke up, receiving surprised looks from the other two.
"Well, we weren't going to tell you that we knew you were crying but... yes, we also wanted to check on you." Roman frowned, looking back over to Patton.
"You always tell us you're there for us when we feel bad, so of course we want you to know that we're here too." Virgil said, shrugging. "We care about you."
Patton smiled, trying and failing to hold back more tears. He wiped at his eyes again, sniffling.
"Did we... do something wrong?" Logan asked, looking from Patton to Virgil and Roman, confused. Patton laughed, shaking his head and stepping up to them to wrap them all in a big hug.
"No! You didn't do anything wrong, it's just... You guys, you make me so happy." He laughed again, the three of them returning his hug. "Thank you.."
"It's no problem at all! Anything to help out a dear friend." Roman grinned.
"You are important to all of us. We would always like for you to feel happy and be healthy." Logan nodded.
"We love you, dad." Virgil told him, and the other two nodded. "We're always gonna be here for you, no matter what."
"I love you guys too!" Patton wiped his eyes again, pulling away from the hug and still smiling at them.
"We are all glad that we're already cheering you up, but if you'd like to talk about anything at all we're happy to listen." Roman told him, the other two nodding. Patton shook his head.
"I can't even remember what I was so upset about. Really, I'm okay now, but..." he paused, looking over to the cookies he had barely started making. "Well, do you mind helping me make cookies? Afterwards we can all watch some movies together. Only if you guys want to, though!"
"That is what we came to help you do," Logan reminded him.
"Of course we don't mind." Virgil assured him.
"Cookies, Disney, and spending time with our wonderful friend?" Roman asked, grinning. "That sounds amazing."
Can you tell which half I wrote last night and which half I wrote today? I think it's obvious. .... I should probably rewrite the first half, but I really just want to get something done finally. I felt bad for not finishing uploading last night.
I also feel like crap, and even tho I really wanna lie in bed all day cause being sick sucks I have stuff to do again so I may not write again today. I wish I could just update all day, and do nothing but write but ugh schoolwork, and chores, and I have to make food for myself (although I'd usually ignore that to write more)
I just wanna write and take a nap aahhhhhhhh this is stupid.
Once again, sorry to anyone who's messaged me and hasn't got a response yet. Been busy, and exhausted, and I just haven't had the time to have a super long conversation even with some of my friends. Hopefully I'll have less to do soon.
Anyways, I need to make myself some food and check on George (make sure he's not destroying the downstairs, he's never down there by himself), so I'll be off of here for now. I'll try to find time to work on requests later today.
Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed this. *opens a pocket dimension and kittens puppies and ring pops fall out*
I'm allergic to cats, opening a dimension with a bunch of them would probably not be the best idea. I love them tho.
Take care of yourselves. Bye!-Bob
