Dare Part 2 (No Ship)
Requested. More angst, woohoo
It had only been a dare.
He didn't really like Virgil. Of course he didn't, who would? (Me) It was just a stupid joke to him, and now Virgil had made a fool of himself.
He couldn't even blame Roman. It wasn't his fault he didn't feel the same, of course not. His reaction to finding out Virgil liked him was completely understandable. It wasn't as though Virgil showed it, and he acted like he hated Roman. Of course he had expected a different reaction.
Virgil shouldn't have been so stupid. He shouldn't have believed for even a second that someone actually cared about him. That they loved him. It was a stupid thought.
He didn't blame Roman, but he did beat himself up over it. He had been stupid. He had been unusually careless. He had hoped that for one second maybe someone truly did love and care about him.
Not a moment later his hope was ripped away from him.
When he had run away from Roman he had, of course, gone to his room to lock himself away. Patton tried to come in and comfort him after noticing he was upset, but he had left after Virgil asked him too. He didn't want to, but the anxious trait insisted on being alone. He couldn't face anyone. He felt too ashamed.
He didn't leave his room much for a long while. Any attempts to force himself out of bed made him think once again of Roman, and then he couldn't keep from crying and panicking all over again.
Patton was sure to check on him multiple times every day. Virgil felt bad for worrying the father, and thanked him every time he came. He didn't say much otherwise, but Patton understood he was feeling bad. He just did the best he could to cheer him up and convince him to face Roman.
Virgil couldn't yet. Despite knowing that the Royal felt awful about what he had done, as he had attempted to apologize many times, Virgil was just too embarrassed to say a word.
He did tell Patton to let Roman know he wasn't mad at him. Yet, Roman still attempted to apologize for it. He wanted him to know he regretted putting him through it.
Virgil didn't know when he would be able to face him again. He knew he wanted to see him and everyone else again, even if Roman would never return his feelings. He wanted to tell him himself that he wasn't angry at him, and that he didn't blame him. Not yet, though. Not any time soon.
He just couldn't do it.
Ahhh sorry this wasn't too good I'm tired and bad at angst (also omg I just noticed the person who requested this is the author of the book I've been reading all night. It's amazing!!!!! I have to say it's one of my favorite fanfics I've ever read, seriously it's so good ahh, the plot, the writing, it's just-it's all wonderful!)
Also!
This is George on the first day we got him
And this is George yesterday
He's such a big baby I love him so much. Also I'm not going to be talking in these anymore unless it's related to the oneshots, so, this is the last time I'll talk here about George or myself. Yay? (We'll see if this actually lasts)
If you want though I'm not sure if you do, I made a new book called Thoughtful, and it is a thing I will be updating every day with my thoughts in it. So, yeah.
One more thing that is related to writing, the first chapter of my analogical book will be out tomorrow!! I finally started writing it, so yay! You can look for that sometime probably later in the day, since it's 4 now here. Whoops. I'll also mention it in my next oneshot once it's up, so yeah.
Thanks for reading, hope you enjoyed this. *Patton comes up to you in his cat onesie to hug you and give you ring pops and cookies*
I should sleep now, feeling slightly sick. Take care of yourselves. Love you guys. Bye!-Bob
