TRIGGER WARNING: FLUFF, but i guess i should warn about a dude wearing a skirt and implied cuss words (not actually said though). Lemme know, as always! <3
Hey so uhhhhhhhhh.....yeah. I know, I didn't update last night. I Physically couldn't make myself.
I know, I suck. Gimme a break XD Don't worry, I'm ok. It was honestly just me taking my own advice for once.
Anyways, I hope you guys like this! This is the main one, but if you want one with what happens with the boys and Thomas, lemme know!
Dadceit (New Years)
Patton was getting ready, and it was obvious to both of his sons that he was nervous. Tonight was his first actual date with Damien, and he couldn't wait.
He decided to be a little risky, though. Instead of what he normally would wear, Patton had thrown on a pastel blue overall skirt and a white sweater underneath it. He had on converse that matched his skirt, and a light blue choker. He looked in the mirror, fidgeting nervously.
Logan stood at the door to Patton's room. "Dad," he chuckled softly, watching. "Damien has seen you in outfits like that many times before." He walked in, fixing Patton's sweater. "He's going to love it."
Pat smiled and nodded, ruffling Logan's hair softly. "Thanks kiddo...it's just...this is our first date. And the first time I'm gonna be away from you kids all night!"
He hummed softly. "I'm quite aware, Dad. Don't worry though, Thomas has watched us many times before, as well as Remus and Virgil."
"Never at the same time," Patton pointed out with a soft sigh. "But...you're right. I shouldn't be worrying. Thomas is a good kid." He thought about the nineteen year old cousin of his, smiling softly. Thomas had been Patton and Damien's babysitter since they both adopted.
Logan let out a small chuckle. "Yes, he is. Besides, I'll be there to help with Virgil so he can watch Rem and Ro."
Pat smiled softly, kissing the top of Logan's head. "You're right, Lo Now c'mon, I'm almost sure your brother is still getting ready and we need to leave."
Meanwhile, at Damien's house, things were going about the same. Remus standing at Damien's door, but at least Virgil was dressed and ready to go. "Dad," Remus said, rolling his eyes. "Pat is gonna love whatever you wear. Seriously, have you seen the way he looks at you?"
Damien had chosen, well Remus chose for him, a tight yellow shirt and an old leather jacket. He had on black skinny jeans and black combat boots with yellow laces. His bowler hat sat on his head, that was his Christmas gift from Patton this year, and on it was a yellow snake pin.
Remus rolled his eyes. "The hat really doesn't match the outfit," he sighed. He adjusted Virgil in his arms, watching his dad.
De chuckled. "I know...but it's special. I'm not taking it off, not when I'm about to go on a date with Patton." He looked in the mirror, smiling. He let out a small, dreamy sigh at the words he'd just said.
Rem sighed. "God, you two just need to-" he stopped himself when he got a sharp look from Damien. "Kidding, kidding."
Damien nodded. "Good. I'm not having my ten year old using language like that." He checked his phone. "Dang it, we're almost late. C'mon." De took Remus and Virgil to the car and started driving to Thomas's house. Patton and he had agreed to both drop them there, since Patton was only a short walk, and then just take Damien's car to dinner.
They both arrived at the same time, Patton smiling at Damien as he got out of the car. Damien's eyes widened and his jaw went slack. Seeing Pat in a skirt never failed to amaze him. He knew he was blushing, so he just waved as he got Virgil out of the car.
Pat smiled, pulling his boys over. "Heya, Dede!" he said happily. "Hey Remus, Hiya Virge!"
Remus smiled, waving at Patton as he held his brother before going with Roman and Logan to knock on the door.
Damien went to Patton. "Y-You look...stunning, Pat," he said, smiling with a huge blush on his face.
Patton blushed. "You too, D-Damien," he mumbled, even redder than De. He pulled Damien to the door of the house, wanting to say goodbye to the kids before leaving.
Thomas had already let the kids inside, waiting for the other two to get inside before closing the door. "Ok, let me guess. It's New Years, so, let them stay up till midnight and then put them to bed if they haven't fallen asleep yet?"
Damien nodded, smiling softly. "Of course, thanks Tomas. Virgil might not make it to midnight, but he did nap so it's possible."
Pat giggled softly. "Logan and Roman have a small bet on who's gonna last longer, so don't mind them. And Logan has offered to help with Virge, too."
The teenager hummed softly, noting that all four boys were already playing somewhere else. "I've got this, you two go have fun. Not too much though~" he teased lightly, winking at both, now blushing, adults.
De rolled his eyes. "Hush it," he chuckled. "Boys! We're leaving!"
All four boys ran out, Remus holding Virgil and both of them hugged Damien. Roman and Logan ran to Patton, hugging him tight.
They said their goodbyes, and Damien and Patton walked out, hand in hand. They went to Damien's car.
"So," Patton started, "where're we going, Dede?" He looked over after getting buckled into the passenger's seat.
De smiled softly. "It's a surprise," he chuckled, buckling in then starting to drive. He turned up the music, not what he'd normally listen to though. That had too many bad words Pat didn't like, so instead he played Disney songs as he drove.
They arrived at dinner after not long, a small diner just inside town that they both loved. De got out, going to Patton's side and opening the door like a gentleman. Patton giggled, getting out and they both walked inside.
Damien ordered for them, already knowing what Pat would want. He got their food and went to sit with Patton. Dinner went smoothly, other than the little stares De would give Patton, unable to help it when he was wearing that outfit, and Pat would start blushing hard.
After dinner they went for a walk in the park. Where they lived didn't get too cold, so Patton's skirt wasn't much of an issue. They held hands, just enjoying one another's presence. At one point, Patton ran to the playground, jumping on the swings.
"Dede, come join!" he called out, laughing as he swang.
Damien didn't know how to tell Patton no, ever, so he just laughed and got on a swing. He didn't swing nearly as high as Patton did, but it didn't matter to him. What did matter was the look on Patton's face, his soft smile. The way his eyes closed halfway when he laughed, his head thrown back. Damien loved it all, even the way Patton's glasses were slightly falling off of him.
Around 11:30, they got off the swings and laid down in the grass, just pointing out stars and constellations. Damien knew them because they helped Virgil calm after tantrums, and Patton knew because Logan loved teaching him.
Both of them knew it was getting late, and they didn't mind. Damien couldn't wait until midnight, he had the perfect plan. From where they were sitting, they could see their city's New Years ball perfectly. He and Patton watched as it dropped, now sitting up, holding one another.
"Three, two, one." Damien counted softly before turning and grabbing Patton's chin. He gave him a soft, sweet, slow kiss.
Once they pulled away, Damien smiled softly at Patton. "Happy New Years, cookie."
Pat blushed hard. "Happy New Years, cobra."
The two kissed again before just laying there, watching the stars for a few hours until they went home to Damien's place, cuddling up under the blankets with Winnie The Pooh playing as they slept.
