Emile was running as he tried getting to work. He was way late, a chai tea latte in his hands. He had woken up way too late, having slept in due to his brothers being rowdy all night. He was running as fast as he could.
Which he probably shouldn't have been doing. He ran into someone and fell back, squeaking slightly. He looked up, seeing a dark haired, leather clad man sitting in front of him.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry," Emile said quickly, getting up. He helped the other man up, helping to wipe his front off. "I am so so sorry, I-I wasn't looking where I was going-"
Emile was cut off by the man chuckling. "Hey," he said. "It's ok, babes, seriously. Glad I wore my faux leather today," he hummed. Emile looked into the man's dark eyes and blushed. "I'm Remy," the man said. "And you?"
"Ah....E-Emile," he mumbled, clearing his throat. "It's my pleasure, but I'm late for work. I really gotta go."
Remy hummed. "Want a ride?" He asked. "My motorbike is right there." He could sense some hesitance in Emile, so he hummed. "It's a motorbike. If you feel unsafe, it's really easy to leave. I promise, I don't wanna hurt you. Just wanna help."
Emile nodded after a moment and took Remy's helmet, leaving the other without one. "Don't you need one?" Emile asked, but Remy shook his head.
"Nope. Just tell me where to go," Remy hummed, getting on the bike with Emile. They left, Remy getting Emile to his workplace quickly. "Here ya are, babes." Remy hummed.
He smiled. "Thank you," Emile giggled. He got off and ran inside, plopping into his chair just in time. He smiled to himself before feeling a slight burning sensation on his arm. He checked, surprised to see a small black line. His eyes widened and he ran out, chasing Remy down.
"Remy!" Emile screamed, making the other man stop his bike. He finally caught up, grinning and panting. He showed Remy his arm and smiled.
Remy looked at his own arm, seeing a matching line. He grinned and hugged Emile, who was laughing happily.
Years passed, the two having moved in together. Emile was headed to work one day, humming. Remy had already left, so he knew he wasn't home.
He was getting his coffee and yawning as he sat down. He felt a vaguely familiar burning on his arm, frowning. He hadn't really met anyone new...
Emile pulled up the sleeve of his cardigan and frowned. Right under the black line from all those years ago was now four words, written in red.
"I Love You, Emile."
Emile frowned. He knew those hadn't been there when he'd gotten dressed. He tried calling Remy, but a female's voice answered.
"Hello?" She said.
"Uh...why do you have my husband's phone?" Emile asked, getting scared. "Who is this?"
The lady sighed softly. "This is a nurse, up at Memorial Hospital...I'm assuming your husband is Remy Sanders?"
Emile got even more worried and terrified now. "Y-Yes...why is his phone there?"
"I...I regret to inform you that Mr. Sanders is passed away..." She whispered gently. "An SUV ran into his motorcycle as he was riding earlier...are you Emile?"
He broke down, sobbing out a yes. Emile sank to the floor and held onto his phone, looking at his arm. At the words that had shown up. He could still feel the burning sensation there when he concentrated.
"He told us to tell you he loves you..."
