Birthday Surprise (No Ship)
TRIGGER WARNING: slight feeling of abandonment. Lemme know kiddos!!
Something short I wrote last night for Virgil's birthday, I'll upload another one tonight too.
Virgil (no ship)
I hate my birthday. Hate it, no doubt about that. So, when the others asked, I avoided telling for as long as possible.
I guess it was inevitable that they found out when asking Deceit and Remus.
"Tomorrow?!" Roman asked loudly. "Ok J.Delightful, we need to plan so get out!" He had Logan and Patton sitting at the table with him, as well as Deceit and Remus.
I rolled my eyes. "Seriously, you don't have to plan anything special. Can't we just watch movies or something together?"
"Awe c'mon kiddo!" Patton smiled. "You helped a lot during my birthday, let me help Roman for yours!"
I sighed, pinching the bridge of my nose. "Ok... Fine. Just nothing too over the top, okay?"
I left the room, going to my own instead. I put in my music, blasting my favorite bands as I decided to sit and paint for a while.
...... Okay it's been hours and nobody has come to get me. I sighed, looking at my finished painting. It wasn't my best work but oh well.
I got up, stretching. "Guess I should go see what they're doing," I mumbled to myself.
I went outside to the living room. Nobody. Ok... Maybe they're in their own rooms?
I go to Patton's first and knock. Then I wait a few minutes and knock again. I frown, "What the...?"
I go to Logan's room, same exact results. Same with Roman's.
"Ok...that's fun. Maybe they're still with the others?" I asked myself, sinking down.
Again, nobody in the living room. I check the kitchen, bathroom, both bedrooms (I regret checking Remus's....). Still nothing. I frown...they wouldn't make a video without me...right?
I sink down to Thomas's living room. "Hey Thomas."
Thomas jumped, having been in the kitchen. "Oh uh...hey Virgil. I didn't summon you. Is everything ok?"
"Have you seen the others?" I asked, rubbing the back of my neck. "I've looked everywhere I could think to and can't find anyone, not even Deceit and Remus."
The host shook his head. "Not yet today, no. But I will let you know if I do, ok?"
I sigh and nod, saying goodbye to Thomas before sinking back down.
What if they hate me? What if I annoy them? What if they just want me gone?
My mind was reeling, but I just sighed and went back to my room. I looked at the time, ten pm. Well...nothing better to do than sleep I guess...
I lay down, closing my eyes, and fall asleep quickly.
I surprisingly got good sleep. Wow. I got up, changing into new clothes. Maybe, hopefully, the others are down at breakfast.
I quickly run downstairs, looking around. Nobody. I had checked everyone's rooms on the way down too, nobody there either.
My heart felt like it shattered. I told them it was my birthday... All I wanted was a day of hanging with my family...
I sigh, going to grab an orange or something because my stomach was growling. I stop, glancing at the table.
On it was a note, obviously written by Logan due to how neat the handwriting was. I grabbed it, reading it instantly.
'Salutations, Virgil
I do not know why, but Roman insisted I write a note to you. He says come to the imagination as soon as you wake up.
Patton says do not worry about eating, we have food. However, looking at what we have... It's not healthy.
We will all be here, including Deceit and Remus. Please come as soon as possible.
Sincerely, Logan.'
I frowned. "The imagination? Why?"
I placed the note carefully back on the table, sinking down to the imagination.
"Surprise!" I jumped, clutching my heart, screaming slightly.
Logan rolled his eyes. "I told you all not to do that, Virgil has high anxiety." He turned to me. "Are you ok? Do you need to sit down?"
I felt myself grin, shaking my head as happy tears came to my eyes. I ran over, grabbing all five of them into a hug. "You guys didn't forget," I said softly.
"Awe of course we didn't kiddo!" Patton chuckled, hugging me back.
We all stayed like that for a while before Roman pulled away. "Let's get this party started!" He winked at Remus, and both of them started making things other than food appear.
The last thing to show up...a giant stage... With Thomas's mind version of My Chemical Romance performing on it.
Everything was...perfect. And I told them so. We all had an amazing time.
Best. Birthday. Ever.
