Triggers.. super short, uhh.. creepy(?), Roman angst, can't really think of any triggers

It wasn't supposed to happen like this.. This was never supposed to happen! Roman's mind yelled at him as he continued to pace while quietly mumbling, "Not now, not this.." repeatedly.

"Aww, Roman.." A voice purred causing Roman's head to snap towards the voice, his eyes widening in fear, a fear that he had never shown before.

"It's so cute that you thought this wouldn't happen.." The voice came from black smoke that formed a humanoid shape and stalked towards Roman.

Roman shook his head and stumbled back fearfully, "No.."

"Yes dear.. You knew this would happen.. and it seems..." The creature cooed with a  smirk. "That you have no one to save you.."
