PSA I did not come up with the idea for these characters! I have seen these kids be used in a couple other fan fics and I wanted to have my own spin on them. These are not my OCs but it's like how I have my own views for what all the other sides would look like/act like in certain scenarios.

So with that out of the way, have this huge amount of fluff to make up for what I'm going to do (I can only contain the angst for so long)

"Come on, virge! We haven't hung out since you still lived with the kid sides! We want our big bro back!" Pranks cried.

You see, Pranks, Missy, and Imag have been wanting Virgil to come and hang out with them for quite some time. They all used to be close when Virgil was a newer side. But as soon as he became a dark side, he never hung out with any of the others. He just focused on his job. And that mostly continued when he became a light side. But he hung out with Roman, Patton, and Logan a lot.

But the kids were tired of it.

Well, maybe not kids per say, Pranks was 15 so he was technically a teenager. Missy (or Misleading Compliments) was 14 so they were also technically a teenager. But Imag (or Imagination) was 8 so he is a kid. But I'm going to call them all kids as to make this easier.

Pranks was a gangly boy who always wore a large hoodie so he could hide his tricks and pranks in his pockets, but also to hide his skinny form. Missy was a lot like Remy, in fact, they hung out a lot with Remy a lot. They wore big black sunglasses and a leather jacket. Though Missy wore a brown skirt and some knee high neon pink socks to go with it. Imag is a hard one to explain. He always had a different outfit almost every day. Seeing as he's imagination, he changes himself all the time. He always has different colored hair and has on big circular glasses, kind of like Patton's.

Now that you know the basics of the kids and what they represent, we can get in with the story!

The kids were constantly trying to get Virgil's attention. They played pranks on him and showed up in his room when he was in there. Imag even gave him a few cards and drawings! But nothing really got his attention enough for him to hang out with them. So they finally just confronted him.

"No, I told you I'm busy." Virgil responded.

"Come ooooooon! We have to stick together! Remember? Squadless squad? Come on Pary! Just one day?" Missy asked with the biggest smile on their face.

Virgil froze up at the old nickname.

"I'm not Paranoia anymore."

"That shows just how long it's been," Missy replied, frowning and averting their attention to the floor.

Virgil felt a pang of guilt hit him. The kids really did miss him. He really hasn't even talked to them in almost 3 years. He sighed.

"Hey," Virgil said, getting the three of them to look up, "what if... we hung out for today in my room? We can catch up and maybe even watch a Disney movie or two. How does that sound?" Virgil asked with his signature smirk. The kids faces all lit up.

"Yes! Really, Virge?" Pranks asked excitedly.

"You mean it?" Missy asked just as excited.

Imag just gave Virgil's legs a hug, Virgil leaned down and picked up Imag so he was sitting on his hips (ya know that mom stance).

"Yes I mean it. Now come on, children. We have much to discuss."

And with that they walked into Virgil's room.

Virgil sat on the floor after putting down Imag.

"Gather 'round children. It's Storytime!" Virgil shouted, though they could all hear him. It was just a tradition.

"Imag, set the scene." Virgil said, winking at him. His eyes lit up as he waited for the imagery to put in front of them.

"There once was a large neighborhood. All of the young kids loved playing there as it was always sunny and full of light," Virgil said as the neighborhood started appearing in place of Virgil's room, "in that neighborhood, lived three individuals. One boy. One girl. And one Non-binary. The boy was 20. The girl 19. And the Non-binary was 26. Now what are their names?" He asked the kids.

"Can we use Thomas's friends?" Imag asked.

"Of course."

"Then the boy should be Terrence!" Pranks exclaimed.

"The girl can be Nicole!" Imag shouted.

"And the non-binary can be JayisJo!" Missy said finally.

"Alright. So..."

And then Virgil started telling a huge story about how JayisJo has a huge tree in the front of their lawn and everyone wants to use the tree for themselves. He talked about how Terrence always sat under the tree and watched birds go by (and he sung birds to properly show this).

Then came his favorite part.

Warrior Girl.

He loved this song. So he sang it for the kids.

"Warrior girl, only goes to where she wants to!
Warrior girl, maybe has a heavy sword!
Warrior gurl has no idea where she jumps to,
But she jumps to where she wants to!
And she's never ever bored."

Virgil was acting out what he thought would be happening in that moment. So he just gestured around and mostly kept motioning to Imag. You see, the three characters in the story were based on the three kids. Nicole was Imag, Terrence was Pranks, and JayisJo was Missy.

"Warrior girl doesn't have to do the dishes
Warrior girl doesn't sit and watch TV
She doesn't need a candle to blow out to get her wishes
She gets what she wants
Money back guarantee.

And maybe someday,
Maybe someday,
There'll be some way I could get to roam free!
And maybe someday,
Maybe someday,
I'll find a way to climb the tallest highest tree!
That could be me!"

He continued to sing and do move movements until the final climax of the song.

"Maybe someday,
Maybe someday,
There'll be some way I could sail across the ocean!
Or at least maybe someday,
Maybe someday, I'll find a way to just cause some commotion!
That could be me!

That could be me! Yeah~
That could be me!

That could be me"

And that's when Virgil acted the part and became dejected and sad, realizing all he couldn't do.

"Freer than free.

That could be me.

But maybe someday,
Maybe someday,
There'll be some way I could get to roam free.
Maybe someday,
Maybe someday,
I'll find a way to climb the tallest highest tree..."

And with that, Virgil bowed and the kids clapped. He heard a laugh that sounded a lot older and more like someone's he knew. He turned towards the door and blushed as Roman stood there. He rushed toward him and shooed him out the door. Once he was out, and he stopped laughing, Roman said, "well, I didn't know you were so good with kids."

"Well I am like their brother and I have had to live with them for almost my whole life." He replied, being snarky.

"I just heard singing and as Creativity I had to stop by and see who was making sweet sweet music!" Roman said with his signature hand twist thing, "so thank you."

And with that, he was gone. Virgil watched him as he walked and leaned against the open door frame to his room.

Wait...

He turned around and saw all three of the kids smirking. He blushed and sat back on his bed, the kids still on the floor.

"Sooooooo... Virgil, you like princey?" Pranks asked with a huge smirk on his face still.

"No! Of course not! I just like having him around."

"Enough to have that lovesick smile on your face?" Missy asked.

Virgil went silent and had a huge blush on his face.

"So what's it like liking princey?" Pranks asked.

"So what's it like liking Missy?" Virgil fires back, getting a blush and surprised face from both Pranks and Missy.

"You think I'm blind? I can see you guys are dating," Virgil just got silence in response, so he turned to Imag (he could never lie to anyone), "am I wrong?"

Imag looked just as surprised as the other two until he sighed and gave an affirmative nod.

And so the kids knew they had to get revenge on him somehow.

Imag and Roman have always been close. I mean they are Creativity and Imagination so why wouldn't they be? They often went on adventures and sat in Romans room and watched Disney movies in onesies. So that's exactly what was happening. Imag was sitting on Romans lap and watching Tangled, their favorite. This was a very common thing for the two of them. It was almost as if they were brothers. Just with an almost 20 year difference between them.

So once the movie was over, they sat across from one another and talked like always. But one thing was different about this time. Imag started to talk about love. He started talking about how he saw people being in love and how he loved when people were in love. So then he asked Roman if he was in love. Roman turned bright red.

"So I'll take that as a yes?" Imag asked with a bright smile. He wasn't lying when he said he loved when people were in love.

"Maybe..."

"Who is it?" Imag gasped and bounced on the bed.

"Well- it may or may not be a certain emo that you know?" Roman asked in almost a questioning tone.

Imag gasped loudly and had stars in his eyes. He hugged Roman and said that he was so happy for him.

Meanwhile in Virgil's room, pranks and Missy were talking about their relationship and asking when he was going to ask Roman out.

"Well, I'm not going to." Virgil said in a slightly panicked manor.

"What?" Both of them shouted.

"He probably doesn't even like me!" Virgil said back, curling in on himself slightly.

"Oh honey, yes he does! Have you seen the way he looks at you?" Missy said with sass.

"Or the way he talks to you?" Pranks added.

"Or the way he waits until you finish speaking before he gives his input?"

"Or the way he looks at you when you're talking?"

"Or the way-"

"OKAY! Enough!" Virgil shouted over them, a blush present on his face, "I'll ask him out!"

So later that day he went to Romans door and hovered his hand in a knocking position. He had flowers in his hands and he was in a nice jacket and jeans.

He knocked.

The door opened and Roman was there. Beautiful as ever.

"Oh! Hello Virgil! What are you doing here?" Roman asked sweetly.

"Well I was here to ask you if you wanted to go out on a date with me?" He asked after shoving the flowers into his hands with panic evident in his voice still.

Roman just blushed and smiled brighter.

"Of course! When did you want to go out?" Roman asked as he summoned a vase full of water for the flowers.

"I was thinking like now?" Virgil asked, still slightly panicked but getting calmer.

"Alright give me one second to change and then I'll be right out!" He said and kissed Virgil on the cheek, "see you soon!" Then he slammed the door to get ready.

"Yeah see you soon." Virgil said, the surprise over taking him. He just stared at the closed door with a content looking face.
