Patton and Logan were used to the constant pressure of being a gay married couple. They were used to the pressure of being teachers. They were used to the pressure of living in New York City. They were used to most of the pressure they were under. But through it all, thick and thin, through sickness and in health, they had each other. And they loved each other.

They had gotten used to the pressure of their secret lives too. They both had their time of fighting crime for the city of New York. Logan was the one who did it more often now and Patton was more of his support and the "guy in the chair".

They had always trained for the unexpected. But when the truly unexpected happened, they couldn't be less prepared emotionally. They were lucky that living with them were two people, Virgil and Roman. Virgil was a doctor and he really saved their asses a few times. Like right now. Logan laid on the floor in the base and he had three huge claw like gashes on his side and he was holding the wound tightly. He was lucky that he had the regeneration factor that he did. If not, he would have not been able to win the battle and fly back to the base before he passed out from blood loss.

Virgil rushed doesn't he stairs and saw Logan. He ran to his side and got out his gauze and got out ointment. He started to prepare what he would need and pressed the gauze against the wound.

"Now, Logan, you know this will hurt for a while but we need to do this otherwise you'll pass out and possibly die from blood loss. You need to stay strong, got it?" Virgil said as he quickly cleansed his hands and grabbed the surgical string and the needle for stitching Logan up.

"Just hurry up! It hurts like hell!" Logan yelled, holding onto Patton's hand tightly. Logan coughed and some blood came up.

"This may be more serious than I thought... what exactly did that guy hit you with?" Virgil asked as he stopped his movements for a second.

"Some kind of light beam that shot out of his eyes. I don't know just fix it!" Logan said and hissed in pain.

"Roman! Call the ambulance! Not 911! The one for superheroes, dammit!" Virgil called up to Roman, who was waiting at the top of the stairs. It was common knowledge Roman couldn't handle blood. Why he married a doctor? No one knows.

Virgil continued to work and eventually turned to Patton, "I'm going to need you to put pressure on Logan's wound." He looked him dead in the eye, "A lot of pressure."

Patton stopped holding Logan's hand and pressed on his side, trying to stop the bleeding. Logan winced and hissed in pain. Patton couldn't stand seeing him like this. Logan  didn't get hurt often but Patton always felt horrible when he did and wouldn't let him out of his sight for the next week. At least.

"You're going to have to press harder if you want to stop the bleeding." Virgil said and tended to the other wounds that he was finding all over Logan's body.

Patton hesitated for a second before applying as much pressure as he thought Logan could handle. Logan screamed in pain and tried to curl in on himself. He had tears running down his face and Patton did too. Patton kept applying pressure even through the sobs that came from his husband. Virgil tended to the other wounds and gave Logan a wooden dowel rod to bite so he could handle the pain.

Patton cried as his husband was silently begging for him to stop hurting him. Patton knew it was better for him if he kept applying pressure, but the noises of pain he was making were almost too much for him to bear.

Just soon enough, Virgil spoke up.

"I'll take it from here Patton, you did a great job. The ambulance will be here soon."

Virgil tended and sewed the wound closed, Logan screeching in pain the whole time. Patton held his hand tightly and squeezed it whenever Logan needed it. He felt his heart break more and more every time Logan cried out.

The ambulance soon arrived and they went into it, they arrived at the hospital and Patton forgot most of what happened while they were there. He remembers crying a lot and begging to see Logan. But he doesn't remember what the doctors told him or what had happened. But Virgil and Roman were there to remember that stuff.

They waited for hours until they could actually see Logan. Virgil and Roman let Patton see him first.

Patton walked in the room and saw Logan attached to monitors and having tubes running into his arms and veins. Patton was unable to hold back tears as he rushed over and held his husband carefully. He pulled back and they were both crying. Logan looked to his husband and smiled his gorgeous smile.

"Thank you..." Logan said in a small voice.

"For what? I let you get hurt." Patton replied and looked down in shame. Logan cupped his cheek so he would look at him.

"You weren't there to let me do anything. You saved me. I know how much it must have hurt to have me screaming and in pain while you think you caused it."

Patton just smiled through his tears and kissed his husband.

"I'm so glad you're okay!"

Alright so it wasn't that great (or at least the ending wasn't) but I hope you liked it!

I hope your Easter was good! Mine wasn't... but I hope I can make yours just a tab bit better with this angst/fluff chapter!

Anyways! Have a great day/night, lovelies!
