Tw: mentions of past abuse

(Sorry I've been writing so much prinxiety I just love that ship but I'm a multi shipper so I'll write/read anything)

Patton and Logan were cooking in their small kitchen. They were talking and laughing wholeheartedly. They were having a nice night in. Patton was making spaghetti and meatballs, one of Logan's favorite dishes and he was putting a serving on a plate for Lohan to have. He suddenly dropped the plate and it smashed against the door.

(Patton's POV) (TW STARTS HERE)

He was standing over me, with a menacing look in his eyes. He started screaming and I was crying. The plate had shattered on the floor and he raised his hand to hit me.

"Please don't hurt me!" I screamed.

(Logan's POV)

"Please don't hurt me!" Patton shouted as I was handing him a new plate.

Did he think that I would hurt him because he broke a plate, something that small was not punishable by any force, wether that be yelling or physical contact? Does he not know that I am not like his former lover and I would never hurt him in any way? I was not angry in any way, shape, or form. I actually was still happy from our previous conversation. I'll just have to show him how safe he is with me.

(No ones POV)

"Patton" Logan said, but Patton couldn't look up at him from his position on the floor. He was cowering at Logan's feet. So Logan got down on his knees and lifted Patton's chin gently.

"Patton, please look at me," he said.

Patton looked up with puffy eyes and tear stained cheeks.

"Patton it's Logan, it's ok baby I would never hurt you. I couldn't even if I tried. I couldn't bring myself to." Patton clung to Logan's shirt and cried softly.

Logan wasn't mad that his shirt would get wrinkled where it was wet from tears, he was just happy Patton was with him and he was comforting him. Logan kept whispering kind words in Patton's ears.

"I will keep you safe no matter what."

"I love you so much."

"There is no way I would ever leave you."

After around 20 minutes of them on the kitchen floor Patton had stopped crying and just sat there in Logan's arms with him still whispering comforting words in his ear.

"How about we eat this wonderful meal you made and we go watch Steven universe? Would you be up for that baby, or do you want to just go to bed?" Logan asked.

"Can we- cuddle while we watch it." Patton asked a little hesitantly.

"Of course love," Logan said and picked him up off the ground.

They ate their food and watched a few episodes of Steven universe until Patton fell asleep in Logan's arms.

Logan took Patton to their bed and laid down with him, them still cuddling and spooning.
