Virgil pouted as he sat against the large oak tree in the park by his house.

"Does it hurt?" His boyfriend, Roman, asked from beside him, holding his hand and turning his head to the side slightly in confusion.

"Roman, I broke my ankle, of course it hurts." Virgil said, his pout only growing.

"I'm sorry, love." He said, rubbing gentle shapes into the others hand, trying to calm him.

"I knew I shouldn't have climbed that tree. Janus and his stupid love of trees." He grumbled, leaning into Roman a small bit.

"Do you still have the sharpie from earlier?" Roman asked, getting an idea and smiling brightly.

"Of course. But you already signed my cast...?" The darker male said and went to grab his backpack that was thrown haphazardly a few feet away from the couple. "And very obnoxiously, might I add."

"I know, dear, but I have an idea." Roman said, his smile growing slightly at the way Virgil was acting.

"Okay..." Virgil said, digging through his backpack and then handing the sharpie to Roman.

Roman gave him a quick kiss as a thank you and then opened the sharpie, moving so he was sitting by Virgil's cast. He started to draw little hearts on his cast, filling up the blank space from where people hadn't signed.

Virgil rolled his eyes fondly and watched as Roman did this, giggling softly. Roman smiled even more as he heard Virgil's adorable giggles. He just continued doodling little hearts and shapes onto his cast. Soon enough, Roman deemed it enough and looked up to Virgil who was smiling brightly. Roman tucked the sharpie behind his ear and then went back up to sit next to Virgil.

"I love you so much." Roman said and smiled adoringly.

"I know, love. You've made that pretty clear with the little hearts." He said, rolling his eyes fondly once again and gesturing to his newly graffitied cast.

"Don't you mean 'litol hearts'?" Roman asked with a small smirk.

"You're such a dork." Virgil said with a small playful glare.

"*Offended Princey Noises*"

Virgil hooked his arms around Roman's neck and giggled a bit more before kissing Roman softly. Roman kissed back happily and after a few moments they pulled away.

"I love you, too." Virgil said and smiled even wider
