Virgil sighed. He looked back up at Roman with a smile and his eyes watery.

"You can't stay here forever, Roman. Even though I wish you could. Your not really dead. Your just... it's confusing. Your... what's the word... life force, if you will, is fading in and out. Your dead and alive at the same time. Which is why you can see me. I love you so much, and I will be right here, at this gate, waiting for you to come with me. We'll go together. We are in this together. Forever," Virgil cupped Romans cheek and pulled him into a drawn out kiss that was full of love and more love, "now get back to Pat and Lo and tell them I say hi and that I love them so much. And tell Patton he couldn't have done anything to help me live."

Roman slowly pushed away from Virgil, with tears running down his cheeks, after a good look at his dark brown eyes.

"I won't make you wait too long," Roman said, trying to smirk but only giving a sad smile.

"You better not," Virgil said half chuckling, but also crying softly, "I'll watch over you."

"My guardian angel."

"Always."

"Goodbye for now, love."

"Goodbye, Princey."

Roman turned and started walking toward the door he walked through.

"Roman?"

Roman turned back with a smile, "yes?"

"I love you."

"As do I,"

And with that, he walked back into the blinding light to life.
