Heathens (Prinxiety) (Demus) (Logicality)

Virgil Moore, Remus Prince, and Ethan Kinth (also known as Anxiety, Duke, and Deceit) walked around the high school halls like they owned the place. And they figuratively did. No one messed with them, as they were intimidating. There were other popular kids, but not nearly as popular is them. They were like the heathers of their school.

Remus and Ethan had met Virgil in middle school and had taken him under their wings. They were best friends in middle school. Remus and Deceit are now dating and they are one of the power couples in the school. Along with Logan Sanders and Patton Hart, two semi popular gay boys.

All three boys were from rich and powerful families, all living in mansion-like houses. Remus had a brother who was also popular, all the girls wanted him, and did almost every extracurricular activity involving singing, dancing, theater, and sports. He was a very handsome guy and Virgil did like him, though he would never admit it.

Roman Prince was openly bisexual, but he hasn't had a girlfriend since freshman year. They are seniors now. If you asked him why, he would say he's hung up on one person. That one person, was Virgil. Though he knew how much trouble he would get in with his brother if he were dating Virgil.

Virgil and Ethan were both at the Princes house and their parents were out of town. They had decided to go to the snow covered park right behind his house.

What most people didn't know, though, was that this popular friendship, was not a healthy one, at all. In fact, if Virgil said anything wrong, the other two would make him regret it.

At this point, it didn't have to be much. Just like this moment. He was pushed against a tree by the collar of his shirt. Hits to his ribs and face a couple times. Mostly to his stomach and chest. Places that could be covered up.

There was a reason Virgil wore makeup all the time and you wouldn't find him without it.

Once they had finished their "lesson", they went back inside, leaving Virgil to pick himself up and get his stuff and go home. That was a hard task, seeing as his house was about 12 blocks away.

Roman was sitting in his room, his laptop open in front of him, face timing Patton and Logan on a group call.

"I just don't know, he's just so perfect and mysterious! But I know what my brother and Ethan would do. Plus he probably doesn't even like me." Roman said sadly.

"Aw don't say that kiddo! I'm sure he likes you! Your such a great guy!" Patton said with a smile while laying on his stomach and cuddling a stuffed animal.

"But he's probably not even gay!" Roman said, using dramatic hand motions.

"On the contrary, he said in middle school, May 13, 2015, that he way gay and that he honestly wished he would have a boyfriend in high school. Adding to that, the way he looks at you in the halls and on the way home is a pretty big clue that he is, figuratively, 'head over heels' for you," Logan made air quotes as he said that. Roman blushed bright red. He heard the door close and some laughing and shouting, but he didn't hear Virgil.

"Anyway, have to go! My brothers back and I should make sure he's fine!" Roman said very quickly, and ended the call.

He sighed and looked in the mirror. His face sure was red and hot. He quickly pushed that down and made his way down the stairs, confused when he didn't see Virgil with his brother and Ethan.

"Yo brother of mine! What's up?"

"I guess I'm fi-"

"Great! I don't care! We are going to my room! Don't interrupt us." Remus said with venom in his voice (and slight lust).

"Wait! Where's Virgil?" Roman asked quickly.

"He went home. Something about his mom calling him or something." Ethan said quickly.

"Isn't his mom out of town?" Roman asked suspiciously.

"Yeah but he has to take care of his dog and his mom was making sure that was happening." Ethan responded easily.

"Oh alright." Roman said, not buying it one bit, knowing they didn't own a dog. There was a reason his nickname is Deceit.

Once they went up to Remus' room and he heard them making out loudly, he put on his coat, boots, gloves, hat, and scarf and headed out into the cold January air.

Roman walked into the forest behind their house and took in all his surroundings. He always loved the snow covered trees and ground. He found it very beautiful.

"Of course you had to say it that way and couldn't have just stayed quiet," he heard a voice like Virgil's say. Then there was a loud crunch in the snow, coughing, and a groan of pain.

Roman sped up and found Virgil laying in the snow, face down, and trying (but failing) to get off the ground. Roman rushed over to him.

"Woah Virgil! What are you doing out here laying in snow?" He asked Virgil, quickly pulling him up. He looked him up and down and saw the forming bruises on his left cheek and where his shirt was slightly lifted up.

"I fell," Virgil said, blushing and looking away so Roman couldn't see his bruises.

"Oh my God, who gave you those bruises? Wait, was it my brother and Ethan? I swear if it is I will murder them!" Roman said, a fiery rage in his voice and eyes.

"Ye- I mean- why do you care?" Virgil corrected himself quickly and looked down at his feet.

"Because you deserve to have true friends and we both know that's not them. So please, tell me what happened." Roman pleaded, tilting Virgil's head up and getting closer to him.

Virgil blushed two shades darker but looked into his eyes. "Why do you care what happens to me? Shouldn't you be on your brothers side?"

Am I really about to do this? Roman thought.

"Because I love you."

Virgil was taken back by his words. He never thought he would hear Roman say that. He had been waiting since middle school for this moment, but was it really true?

"Why me? Why not any of the other, better people at our school? What's so special about me?"

"Virgil, you are the most beautiful and mysterious person in our school and probably in the whole world. You have such talent and you are just amazing. Your so beautiful it's almost unfair. Your eyes are brown but they have almost a rim of purple in them and they shine in almost any light. Your hair is a stunning dark brown, but in the sunlight it turns almost blonde it's so reflective. You have this aura that is like, 'I don't want to be noticed but I am also super popular' and then you just stand out to me for some reason. I think I'm in love with you, Virgil Moore."

Virgil was in the Virge (haha get it) of tears.

"That- that was the sweetest thing anyone has ever said to me." Virgil replied.

"Can I kiss you?" Roman asked.

"Yes."

And so they kissed, it was short and sweet, but for a high schooler who's never kissed anyone, Virgil thought it was perfect.

Roman had to take Virgil back to his house by car because he could hardly stand on his own. He helped him with his injuries and asked Patton and Logan to come help too.

They all met each other and became friends.

Later Roman had a little... ahem... chat... with his brother. And let's just say that Virgil wasn't messed with from then on by those two.

And they all lived happily ever after...
