Bleeding (Prinxiety)

I should be working right now but I had an idea because of a sentence starter and I couldn't not.

I have done nothing for school and I really need to... but I'm not gonna

Virgil put down the razor blade with a sigh. At least that was done. Now for clean up.

Well...

How much would it hurt to leave it?

Hmm, probably a lot. Did Virgil care?

...

No.

No he didn't

He watched as the crimson red blood dripped down his arms onto the carpeted floor. It's not like he couldn't just snap and it would be fixed. It's not as easy with wounds, that was all him.

But at least he didn't feel anxious anymore. He just felt numb and that was debatably worse. He knew he would snap if he had to talk to anyone-

"Knock knock! Can I come in, love?" Roman asked from the other side of the door.

Shit

"Just a sec!" Virgil pulled on his jacket quickly and winced a bit as the fabric rubbed against his wounds. He stood up and went to sit on his bed. "Yeah, you can come in."

Roman opened the door and smiled as he saw Virgil. "Are you ready?" He asked, in his usual prince outfit plus a few less gold and red accents.

Virgil turned his head to the side in confusion. "Ready?" He asked softly

"For our date. Just us in the imagination. Maybe we could even go to the castle and have some fun. The whole castle at our fingertips. We could even walk the gardens if you'd like." Roman said sweetly, not even bothered by the fact Virgil forgot.

"I'm sorry, Princey, I just forgot. I'm also just really tired. Maybe another day?" Virgil asked, trying to give a small reassuring smile.

Roman's look just turned concerned. "You've been putting this off for days now. Are you alright, dear?" He asked, going to take Virgil's hand but Virgil immediately pulled his hands away, looking a bit panicked. That only made Roman's concern grow. "Virgil?"

"I'm fine. Just... I'm tired. Please leave." Virgil said, his voice emotionless and numb sounding.

Roman just stepped closer, taking Virgil's hands with a more firm grip so he couldn't get away. "No."

Virgil paused. He had always been able to request Roman leave and he does. "N-no?" He asked, his voice now shaking.

"No. You're in pain, I can tell. Please, let me help you." Roman said, one of his hands going up to gently cup Virgil's face. Virgil immediately melted into his hand.

God, he was so touch starved.

"Now, why don't we sit down and you can tell me what's on your mind?" Roman suggested softy, Virgil only having the strength to nod as he turned to putty in Roman's arms. Roman just smiled and led him over to the bed, sitting them down, Roman's upper back against the headboard and Virgil between his legs, Virgil's head on his chest and Virgil's arms around Roman's middle as he cuddled close to him. Roman softly and sweetly ran his fingers through Virgil's longer deep purple hair, trying to calm him down.

Roman just stayed quiet. They'd been through this before. They would stay silent until one of them was comfortable to talk about what was on their mind. Virgil just listened to Roman's steady heart rate and breathing and the fingers in his hair, starting to calm down. They stayed like that for a few minutes, neither saying a word.

"Am I enough?"

Roman paused, trying to think of the best way to say this. "I think you are." Roman said with a small smile. "I think you're enough for anything you'd ever want. I think there's a difference between being enough in general and being enough to succeed. I think there's a fine line but it's there. But the truly important things? The things that you care about and love doing? You're enough to succeed with those. You're enough to more than succeed. And success doesn't mean being the best at the thing you're trying to do. I think you're enough.

"You're enough for me. For Thomas. For Patton and Logan and Janus and Remus. You're enough for this job. You're enough. You deserve the right to be stressed and have negative thoughts. You have the right to take breaks and I will be here to help you whenever you need them." Roman said, smiling softly and kissing the top of his head

Virgil just felt as hot tears streamed down his face and he cuddled closer to Roman, burying his head into Roman's chest as he sobbed. Roman just held him closer. "And nothing is going to ever change me being here or me loving you." Roman whispered.

Virgil must have cried for a solid 30 minutes, just letting it all out. The tears just kept coming. He couldn't seem to stop. It felt like hours that they laid there. Small kisses and affectionate words were given back and forth and they just held each other close, both of them needing the comfort.

Roman was less than vocal about his insecurities and problems, only aiming to help everyone else and not ever making things like that about himself. But since he had been with Virgil that has slowly started to change. They've both helped each other so much. They wouldn't change this for the world.

They hold each other close and make each other feel good. They cry and comfort and steal kisses in the kitchen and dance in their pajamas around the halls. They're everything they need to be.

And they're enough.

Look at me on a roll! I have written two chapters in two days, I'm proud of myself. Idk what my brain is doing haha

And I want to ask how you guys are doing? I know quarantine is a bitch and ew, but how are you?

I'm doing alright. I've been singing constantly and trying to get better and I've been singing the Oooooh's in the acoustic version of Heather on YouTube and I really like it so Uh yeah

Oh, the only thing is I'm super paranoid because it's that time of year again so it's lots of fun

Anyways, have a great day/night, lovelies!
