Virgil met Roman through Patton and Roman vice versa, Patton had hoped they would start dating.

Which at first, they didn't. At first they were at each other's throats and then it was playful banter. But, who knew the princely man would actually ask Virgil out after six months?

Patton, that's who! And Virgil couldn't have been happier.

Their first date was actually very awkward and it went horribly wrong. Roman had planned a cliche picnic, but it began to rain halfway through, so they moved inside, into a loud, crowded mall so they couldn't hear each other properly and when Roman walked Virgil home, they both got splashed by a car driving into a puddle, creating a tsunami.

Roman had apologised profusely that night, but Virgil shocked him by asking if they could do it again, which Roman readily agreed to.

They went on lots of dates after that, so much, that they had been going out for six months and lost track of how many dates they'd been on, that's how perfect it had been.

And now, Virgil was currently outside of Romans house after a date, and Roman shuffling nervously, "look, I've not been completely honest with you..."

"How so?"

Roman sighed, "well... you see- Uh... well..."

Virgil took Romans' keys and unlocked his door, "I'm sure it's nothing bad, Roman."

He opened the door, to a seemingly normal house, it had a tv, a sofa, a carpet, it was mainly red though-

"Dad!"

Virgil froze, there was a small girl, running down the stairs and ran straight it Romans arms and hugged him, Roman hugged back just as closely, "hello little princess."

Now Virgil was freaking out, Roman had a daughter! And she had his gorgeous eyes and his lovely hair, but not his smile or skin tone, must be the mother's... but that's the thing... he had intercourses with a women and had a child!

"Daddy? Whose that?" Asked the small girl.

Roman smiled nervously, "Scarlet, this is my good friend Virgil, Virgil this Scarlet, my daughter."

Scarlet saw Virgil, and saw his dark clothing, it was all black with patches of purple, faded purple hair and dark heavily applied make up under his eyes, "I like your make up! Nice to meet you!" She stick out her small hand with pink nail polish on.

Virgil took her hand and shook it, "nice to meet you too. I like your nail polish."

The girl giggled, as Roman nudged her upstairs playfully, "how about you get Valarie and tell her she can go?"

"Ok!" The girl shot upstairs like a bullet, "Valarie!"

Virgil slowly looked to Roman, "how long...?"

"I've had her five years... I had a relationship with a women, she left a year after Scarlet was born because I told her I dated her to hide my sexuality... I don't blame her, but she doesn't even see Scarlet or help..."

Virgil sat down, "geez Ro, you cant just spring this on a guy!"

"I'm sorry! Look, you don't need to keep going out with be but please stay for dinner, that's all I ask..."

Virgil sighed and rubbed his eyes tiredly, careful not to smudge his eyeshadow, "alright..."

Valarie, a lady with gorgeous brown hair who looked liked a Disney Princess talked about how Scarlets day went and then left, apparently she was the Nanny.

"Virgil is staying for Dinner, so I want you on your best behaviour." Roman said, gently.

"Ok Daddy! Oooh! Can we have fish, fries and peas!"

Roman smiled, "of course... Virgil that ok with you?"

"Y-Yeah..."

Roman smiled and went to the kitchen, leaving Virgil with Scarlet.

"Mr Virgil?"

"Yeah?"

The girl smiled, "can you do my make up one day?"

Virgil couldn't help the small smile that graced his lips, "of course."

"Scarlet, come here for a second!"

Scarlet heard her Dad and rushed off and was quickly followed by Virgil, who didn't want to be alone.

"Can you wash these potatoes for me?"

"Yeah!" The small girl moved a chair to the sink and climbed and turned on the cold water, she grabbed the potatoes and began to wash them.

It was all going fine, until she lost her footing and knocked the chair over, the small girl screamed. Roman turned around and his eyes widened in horror, it was of time had slowed down, his daughter was falling! He froze up in a state of panic.

Virgil however, was quick on his feet. He dove forward and caught the girl before she hit the carpet.

"T-thank you Mr Virgil." Her Boise trembled and shook as she clung to him.

Virgil held her close, "hey it's alright. You're ok now, stay sat on a chair and I'll held your Dad, ok?"

"Ok..."

Roman finished having a heart attack and watch Virgil set her down on a chair and moved the other and began to wash the potatoes.

"T-thank you, Virgil..."

"It's fine Ro..."

The men cooked the meal and every so often, Virgil would turn to the child and pull a funny face, so she wouldn't be bored. Roman saw and smiled, how he hoped he stayed.

Finally the meal was set out and they began to eat, Scarlet talked about her day and Roman listened, even though he tried to get Virgil in the centre of conversation, but the emo man made it all about the child.

However, when Roman and Virgil did have a slight conversation, Scarlet reached over and took a fry off of Virgil's plate and said quietly, "the man had no idea I secretly stole a fry."

Clearly, the child hadn't learned inner monologging, Roman went to scold her but Virgil gently kicked his leg under the table, he didn't care.

Dinner and pudding was done and Roman gently said, "bed time."

The girl was very tired due to the eventful evening and let her Dad pick her up, "Mr Virgil? Will I see you again?"

"Sure..." Virgil replied nervously.

"Bye..."

Virgil smiled, "Bye..."

Roman took the child to bed and tucked her in bed and left downstairs.

"I'm sorry about today, really I am..."

Virgil shrugged, "it's ok...."

"S-so... what you said.... will you really come back...?"

Virgil stared...

Five months, five months and Patton hadn't heard a word from Virgil or Roman.

"I'm sure it's nothing Pat..." Logan said, sitting next to him.

They were both in a cafe, waiting for the two since they told them to come here today, they just hoped they'd come.

The bell rang. Roman walked in and sat down across from his two friends, "hey Lo, Pat."

"Roman! It's good to see you! How are you and Virgil?" Patton asked nervously, he had been the one to encourage showing little Scarlet to Virgil after all.

Romans face fell ever so slightly, and sighed tiredly, "we don't go on dates anymore..."

Logan and Patton's jaws dropped.

"What?!" Screeched Patton.

"B-but Virgil wouldn't leave you just because of a child! W-would he?!" Asked Logan in a panic.

Roman glanced at his two friends and before he could start taking, Patton cut in, "when I see him, I'll give him a piece of my mi-"

The bell rang. The three glanced up and Virgil walked in, Patton was just about to go and get physically violent until he saw he wasn't alone.

In Virgils arms was a small girl, her bangs converting one eye, lightly applied pink eyeshadow under her eyes and pink dress.

"R-Roman... is that Scarlet?"

"Yeah... why?" Roman asked confused.

The two men got a look at Virgil as he walked over, his hair was more pushed back and freshly dyed and his jacket was more purple, his eye shadow was more grey and he had bright pink, messily applied nail polish.

"Hey guys." He greeted, Scarlet hid her face in Virgil's chest shyly.

The two blinked.

Roman helped Virgil sit down as the man brought Scarlet closer, "how about after I buy you strawberry ice cream?"

Scarlet grinned, but Roman glared, "really? I told you, no ice cream."

"Oh yeah well we have a secret weapon, show him Scar."

Scarlet giggled, "ok Papa!"

The girl turned and gave Roman, the biggest, saddest puppy dog eyes to ever exist.

Roman groaned, "...fine."

"Yay!" Cheered the girl, high giving Virgil.

Virgil looked at Logan and Patton who stared, gobsmacked, "so? How's everyone's month been?"

The reason they didn't go on dates anymore was because they were now raising a beautiful girl together.
