Your name...

I just watched Your name and really want to do a AU. Cause I hardly do logicality. I'll do that.

Logan looked out his window. There was someone he'd forgotten. He was sure of it. Maybe he'd remember if he just got a few more minutes rest. His eyes slowly slipped closed as he took his blissful sleep.

Logan snapped open his eyes as he wondered where this place was. Whose reflection was that in the mirror? Was it him? It moved how he did but surely it couldn't possibly be.

He slapped himself and sure enough it was him. He wasn't dreaming but where was he?

Patton woke up and immediately fell out of bed. He really needed to get a new bed. But wait, wasn't his bed on the floor. Patton looked around him and realised that he was in a flat in the city. But he lived in the country. How is this possible?

Patton looked around then noticed a handsome boy staring back at him in the reflection of the mirror. He also wore glasses and the boy looked as if he had slept in them.

Patton chuckled at the mistake that he frequently made too and noticed the much deeper voice leaving his mouth. So the boy had a deeper voice. Interesting.

The rest of the day was a blur for Patton and Logan as they desperately tried to imitate the life they thought the other led. Then they fell asleep, very exhausted.

The next morning everyone was in their rightful place but after that the same thing would happen on a random day each week. Tuesday. Friday. Saturday. Thursday. Sunday. Monday. Wednesday. Friday.

They began to know each other and memorise the others schedules. Memorise important dates, names and faces. They knew the others life almost as well as their own.

Patton was an energetic boy from a small country town ages away from the city. Logan was work-oriented and from a small flat in the middle of the city. They would have never crossed paths. Except they did.

Patton was falling for the city boy and he knew it. He knew that Logan wouldn't be quick to acknowledge his feelings. He was oblivious to things like that. Logan's parents had thrown him out after he confessed to them and he had to go find himself a different home. They were super homophobic and they would never accept it. Did it matter? Logan didn't care what his parents thought of his identity.

Logan was falling hard and fast for Patton and he acknowledged it. But... did Patton feel the same? Patton's father had been an alcoholic and Patton found him dead on the floor one day. Right before his entrance exams were to begin. And he failed. Ever since, his mother stayed with her family while he looked after their little country house.

Logan and Patton had both decided that today was the day. 'I love you.' they wrote on the palm of the other's hand and drifted off to sleep.

When Logan woke up, he realised he had a early shift at the restaurant where he worked as a waiter and neglected to check his hand. He wore a clenched fist all day for an unknown reason and when he finally checked his palm, he started crying. The tears rolled down his face swift and calm. P-patton loved him. He really loved him. More tears fell.

Patton felt certain that Logan would almost never feel the same way. He noticed writing on his palm and with curiousity read 'I love you.'. Really? Logan actually loved him. He really did. Warm tears hit the blankets budled at his chin and multiple wet patches were evident as he brought them up to wipe his tears.

A few years later and Logan and Patton had never stopped looking for each other. Unfourtunately there always seemed to be a reason to stay at their house. Logan's grandpa was dying. He was close to his grandparents and they accepted him even if he was gay. So he had to say goodbye. Patton had to take care of the house but eventually the money to pay the mortgage ran out and they had to sell it.

So Patton decided to move to where Logan was and live with him. Help him take care of his grandma and be with him.

As Patton arrived and ran toward Logan, he heard Logan say "You never told me your last name!"

And Patton replied with, "It's Mitsuha. Yours?"

"Mine is Taki." Was Logan's reply.

And all was right with the world.
