I am not a robot

A song started to play on the radio, 'You've been acting awful tough lately, smoking a lot of cigarettes lately but inside, you're just a little baby.' Usually the songs they could hear in the mind, reflected how they were feeling. Was this really Logan's thought pattern? So what if he had been putting up a lot of walls lately, the other's already thought he was emotionless anyway.

'It's okay to say you've got a weak spot, you don't always have to be on top. Better to be hated, than loved, loved, loved for what your not.' Was it really better to be hated? Could Logan really show the other's all he had inside?

'You're vulnerable, you're vulnerable. You are not a robot.' Wasn't he? He certainly felt like it.

'You're lovable, so lovable but you're just troubled.' Could the others actually love him for who he is? Was he actually lovable?

Logan decided to join in for the next bit, finally recognizing the song that popped up everytime he turned on the radio, which admittedly wasn't much. "Guess what I'm not a robot, a robot. Guess what I'm not a robot, a robot."

The song went back to playing by itself as Logan pondered all the lyrics were saying.

'You've been hanging with the unloved kids, who you never really liked and you never trusted.' Logan didn't trust the other's, even simple tasks could sometimes be too much for them.

'But you are so magnetic, you pick up all the pins. Never committing to anything. You don't pick up the phone when it ring, ring, rings. Don't be so pathetic, just open up and sing.'

"If you insist", Logan muttered.

"I'm vulnerable, I'm vulnerable. I am not a robot. You're lovable, so lovable but you're just troubled. Guess what I'm not a robot, a robot. Guess what I'm not a robot, a robot." Logan poured his feelings into the song. Feelings the other's didn't even know existed. Well, maybe Virgil had some idea, his best friend of more than four years. Virgil and Logan were closer than brothers until Roman decided to take Virgil away, Logan never could understand why Roman was the one to have Virgil's heart. It wasn't fair, Logan had loved Virgil since the moment he laid eyes on him though when Virgil laid his eyes on Roman, Logan knew it was all over. Virgil had fallen fast and hard, no stopping him now and how could Logan hold him back if that was what he wanted. If that was what was making him happy.

"Can you teach me how to feel real? Can you turn my power on? Well, let the drum beat drop." What was the point of life if he's just going to get heartbroken and stepped all over, given all the work and treated like a robot. Why should he continue to live? What reason does he have?

"Guess what I'm not a robot. Guess what I'm not a robot." Logan sang as he started to write a note.

He knew the song was ending so he paused it, wanting it to last. Wanting this limbo between death and life to last forever.

Dear Patton,

I know we were not very close however, I do believe you are quite close to Virgil. I love him and am sorry to do this to him however I simply do not see the point in living anymore. Roman and Virgil are happy in their relationship and I could not tear them apart. I do not belong here, show the other's this note and let Virgil know that from the first time I saw him, his hair glittering and eyes shimmering, I knew he was the one. I knew I had fallen. When Virgil first saw Roman, his eyes lit up and sparkled brightly, more brightly than I'd ever seen them before. That was when I knew, I had no chance, Roman was the one who had captured Virgil's heart and that was world-shattering but I managed to survive. Hide as long as I could but now I'm tired of all the work, I'm tired of pretending, I'm tired of being heartbroken. I'm tired of the scars I try to hide each day, the pains that grow each and every day. It's all too much so I'm saying goodbye.

Goodbye Virgil, my dearest friend.

Goodbye Roman, his love and life.

Goodbye Patton, Virgil's friend.

"Guess what I'm not a robot, a robot. Guess what I'm not a robot, a robot. Guess what I'm not a robot, a robot." Logan started to grab the knife as he unpaused the music and sung.

Guess what I'm not a robot, a robot." As Logan sung the last line, he pierced the knife through his heart and stopping his heartbeat.
